Your mind dwells on the clues at hand as you wander down towards the lake. Why would this last clue lead you here? What could possibly be found?
Just around the bend, you catch a glimpse of something colorful. Curious, you dwell deeper through the trees now following the wonderful smell of vegetation and the sound of rushing water until suddenly you are cut short by the spectacular view before you.
There, hidden from the world is a beautiful tropical lagoon. Clear blue water laps up at the small beach, bordered by lush ferns and tall, swaying palm trees. Rocky easily climbable out-croppings frame the lagoon's clear water, punctuated by a gentle waterfall that slopes in such a way that your first mischievous thought is how it could easily be used as a "water slide."
As you get closer, you see algae covered tridents washed up on the shore along with what looks like scaled armor covered in barnacles. Here and there float sea shell brassieres, conch shell horns, and an old fishing net tangled among the rocks beside forgotten coral jewelry. Your mind hurries to connect the dots and it is then that you realize that this must be an abandoned merfolk dwelling of some sort.
Filled with interest you venture out of the vegetation, and give a start as you notice the head boy Finlay Carmicheal and head girl Iris Beaumont.
They smile at you in welcome.
Congratulations, for this is indeed the end of your search.

There was already a bunch of people here, but that wasn't really what caught her attention. This place was rather beautiful and...well now, she could sun tan out here rather nicely. Sorry lake, but you are being dumped for this lagoon. For when it got a little warmer of course. She wasn't so sure about the whole 'sun tanning' thing when it was still a bit chilly out. Besides, the lagoon had those...giant forks washed up on shore. What the heck were those things?
They just had to go.
Finally managing to find a good enough swimwear for himself, of course a dark red one for this colour was among his best choices, Josh picked it up and took a step away from the trunk to look around again totally ignoring the fact that not only he had totally ruined the order in the trunk but also he spreaded shorts around it like everywhere. He was not going to bother to pick them up and put them back in the trunk though. Actually he had made a favour to those who wanted to wear them; they did not need to search it into the trunk. See? He was good.
And when his gaze moved around to see who were around, well there were girls with bikinis, eh...and...and...there was Evelyn! Not in bikinis though but whatever. She was the most adorable girl around. ''ROSE!'' he called waving the dark red shorts in his hand for attention as he ran to her.

Excited wasn't even the word for it. When a tall brunette starts giggling and squealing as if there's not tomorrow, excited was definitely not the word for it! Hyper... maybe. Ecstatic... maybe. But whatever it was, the girl was so far beyond excited!
And maybe that's why Kita was standing there, mouth wide open, staring at the sight in front of her. It. Was. BEAUTIFUL! Everything was just... gorgeous!
And now she understood why she wasn't made a prefect. There was no way she could have planned and organised all of this! And prefects actually had to be somewhat sane and professional.
Letting out another squeal, Kita ran over to the trunks and started rummaging through it. Fishing out a nice pink number, she ran over to the tents and got changed. She was secretly glad that her hair was long enough to cover most of the top bit of her swimming suit. How she would have coped otherwise, she did not know.
Fastening the sarong around her hips, she walked out of the tent and looked around for a particular blonde haired girl she was meant to come to the lagoon with. Now... where was Dani...?
Dani smiled to herself as she walked down to the... lagoon. Which of course was a perfectly norrmal thing to have in Scotland. But, oh well. She pushed back the loose, blonde curls that had fallen from the ponytail she had tied her hair back into with a blue ribbon.
She didn't know why- she was just in a very blue mood that day- not a sad mood, she was just in the mood to wear a lot of blue. She even had perfume on from a blue bottle! It has nothing to do with Ravenclaw though. Why would she want to associate herself with another house like that?! She had some serious Slytherin pride. However much she knew she wasn't quite as mean or cunning as she was probably supposed to be to be in Slytherin... Sighing, she looked around and wondered where Kita was.
She soon caught sight of her and waved- she was already in her outift- she had her usual leather biker jacket on over it that Dallas had given her for her last birthday *sigh*. "Hey!" she called out as she approached her friend- "Looking very pink today!" Dani giggled kindly as she moved to give Kita a friendly hug.

Hugo let go of Kurumi's hand as he sighted the amazing lagoon. It was... Paradise. In the winter... "Wow..." he said. "This place is amazing!" He wondered if the students from all houses had joined them in this final destination. And so it seemed, as more students started coming in sight. He gazed around in wonder. It was big enough for a lot of students to wander around free. All houses... Hugo wondered if Fee was here. This was an amazing place to be... With her. He hadn't seen Fee in a while. She had been sick, and exams started coming up. But she just had to be here. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" he mumbled to Kurumi.
Iris waved at Simon as he made his way into the Lagoon, too. She grinned in agreement. "And enjoy we will, Simon!" The prefects deserved to enjoy this the most, if you asked Iris. They'd worked SO hard making this fun for the students, when they could have just given the students the location.
When he said that the rest of his students were all well on their way, Iris smiled. Even better! Ahh... This place really was wonderful. It fascinated her how it'd managed to stay hidden for so long, too...
Walking away from Simon, Iris wandered over to the waters. It was so clear, and so blue. For a moment, she wondered if there were any underwater caves in the water. There HAD to be.... Then she sat down on a rock, and took her red boots off. She just left them there on the rock. Letting her legs dangle down into the water, Iris sighed. She really could spend forever here.
But forever here would be much better with Aaron... Where was he? The Slytherin/Hufflepuff task couldn't be taking THAT long, could it?
OHMYSALAZARTHISWASTHEMOSTBEAUTIFULPLACESHE'DEVERSE EN!!!!!! Aurora ran towards the pool and nearly fell in... Then she turned to see the head girl sitting by the side. "IRIS! This is so COOL!" she yelled, looking longingly at the water.
She removed her robes, shoes, socks and jumper and stood in the lagoon, paddling. She looked down at her shirt... shame it was white. Hmm, her swimming costume was back at the castle..."Accio Swimming Costume..." she tried... Nothing... She sat on the rocks at the side of the pool and left her feet dipped in the water. She really didn't want to have to walk all the way back up to the- "Oh!" her swimming costume fell into her lap. "IT WORKED!" she must have really wanted it. She changed quickly behind a rock and folded her robes up neatly, putting them where they wouldn't get wet. Then, taking a running jump, she launched herself into the middle of the lagoon.

Finally deciding that the giant forks on the beach weren't for trolls, which meant this place was safe so far, Evelyn glanced around to the others that were already here. Most of them, from what it looked like, were wearing swim wear. Huh, was she crashing a party? Not that she cared really. She didn't mind crashing parties.
And she really didn't mind crashing parties where Josh was.
She smiled once she saw him, having heard him call out her name. And what was he holding? "Josh!" she grinned, moving towards him. Wait...he was running. He wasn't going to like, tackle her again was he?

o_O
There...
She had noticed him as well! Grinning happily, Josh ran faster to reach his beautiful she-snake as soon as possible still waving the shorts like crazy. He had to change and wear these right, but he could always do that later like once he took in the lovely smell of his beloved Slytherin's hair. Not to forget that it was great to have his sight back for he could see her awesomeness shining brighter than the warming sun above.
''I missed you!'' he said between breaths once he was close enough for her to hear without the need of yelling the words out. And before she could reply ot do anything else, the Gryffindor jumped on her wrapping her tightly in his arms.

Something was definitely wrong... No one took that long to get here, did they? After all, this is a lagoon! All beautiful and such. Who can resist that? But then again, Kita wasn't one to be early for anything! So where was Dani?
Frowning, Kita turned her head and squinted at the people in the distance. Nope...She turned on the spot and before she knew it... someone was waving at her! A familiar blonde snake!
Grinning, she waved back and walked a little towards the girl who was approaching her. "Dani!" she squealed, hugging her friend back. Very pink? A giggle escaped the tall brunette as she looked down at what she was wearing. Yes... that was one way of putting it. "And you're looking lovely in blue."
Kita's brown eyes wandered over to the sea and a sudden idea popped into her head. "You're not scared of the water are you?" she asked, a small smirk playing on her face.

"Aww! Thanks!" Dani giggled with another smile as she looked around. Wow, it really was pretty down here! She smiled widely at the other people around.
She sighed and giggled as she watched Kita- "Me? Scared of water?! No way! I was brought up... well, practically in the sea" she laughed- "My big brother always took us out swimming with dolphins and the like since my twin and I were tiny tots" she smiled- "How about you? You're not scared are you?" she said softly as she smirked back at Kita.
Aaron FINALLY got to go to the end after doing nothing dealing with all the kids in his task. He took a look around and saw how spectacular the setting was. He kind of wanted to just sit and get hit feet wet. Not necessarily get very wet, but you know...
Aaron walked through all of the kids (smiling at the Slytherins) and approached Iris. "Good job," he said, before, standing next to her.

Kita smiled at Dani before looked out at the lagoon. There was sand and water. And the day was quite sunny, in a way. It as absolutely perfect for a bit of sunbathing! A better location than the Whomping Willow, right? Hehe.
The smirk was still on the tall girl's face as she looked at Dani. But that smirk-y expression turned into one of... surprise? "You went swimming with the dolphins?" she asked, completely baffled. But wait... did this mean that the girl was a really good swimmer? If so, boy was Kita screwed! "Me? Scared?" YES! "Pfft! I'm not scared at all!" Actually she was scared... she was scared of getting her hair wet and full of... stuff. But she let a smirk return to her face.
Selina stepped onto the shore and looked around at the Lagoon. It was beautiful. Usually Selina would be running around and being wildly outgoing, but she was, as of right now, more in the mood to sit down and just be alone. Too many thoughts were racing through her head as to what she had just seen in that boggart challenge. Perhaps she was too hard on herself about the situation, but you try killing your sister and see how that leaves your mental state. She was hurting, she had been hurting for years, but she had never needed to deal with it previous to this day. All along she had been shoving down her emotions with her thought process that it didn't matter. That it had never happened. That there had been no Danielle. But that boggart proved that underneath all of her anxiety there was trouble there, deep and routed after so many years of pretending it wasn't there. And the volcano that once lay dormant was alive and not going down any time soon.

Conan spotted a girl, who wasn't quite in the mood everyone else seemed to be in. He patted the deck chair next to him, hoping she would sit, "Looks like you could use a sit down." He gave hugs too, but that was a bit much in the situation. He didn't even know the girl.
He pulled down his scarf, and the cold air hit his face. He gave an involuntary shiver, before smiling kindly towards the sad girl. "I won't bug you. I promise. Unless you want a chat."

Iris looked up as Fallon appeared. "Fallon!" She yelled. Just as the head girl went to jump up and hug her best friend, Finn happened.

Watching as the redheaded girl went off jumping in the water, Iris smiled a bit. If Aurora came up from that dive, then Iris would consider going into the water herself... if not though...

Selina whipped her red hair around as she heard someone address her. She looked up at the boy and saw that he looked about her age. Part of her was sure that they had a a few classes together, but she wasn't really one to hang out with people her own age. Because she was on the Quidditch team that was a majority of the people she knew. So perhaps sitting next to someone different would give her some variety.
With hands folded over her chest she pulled herself up and walked over to the chair that the boy had indicated. She smiled at him and sat down next to him. Her smile and eyes were empty and void of any feeling though. That boggart had hurt too much, had taken too much. It was worse than anything she had experienced thus far in her life minus the actual death of her sister.
So she looked up and the boy and answered, "No, I don't really want to talk about it." She looked back down to her lap.

Legend of course had been late, but this time it was not his fault! He wasn't trying to be fashionably late either! He just had to help a few people who was falling behind! The Gryffindor Prefect grinned as he noticed all the people who were already at the Lagoon having fun and going crazy. Iris even seemed to be having fun with yelling at people to enjoy their selves.
Finally! A moment of rest after the chaotic planning. "Hey guys!" Legend said waving and grinning at his fellow prefects.

Jonathan is a very OCD person, so looking at the water on his clothes made him a little bit uncomfortable. He doesn't really like it. To him, it's already messy when in fact it's just water. "Don't do it again next time" he said looking at his shirt and just looking back at Daichi.
"So how's it going so far? Summer vacation will be coming by soon. Are you going home to---" great. He has known Daichi for the whole term and yet he forgets where he lives. Does he lives in London or does he go back to Japan like Kurumi? He smiled the boy and tried to change the subject.
Awkward.
"Uhm. Isn't it a bit cold to go swimming yet?" well, to Jonathan Spring is not quite the ideal season to swim on the beach. But hey, maybe some people would like it. And is it safe to go into the water? it is after all abandoned.
Daichi rolled his eyes and got out of the grip on his shirt. Jonathan was right, he had started it but couldn't he have atleast a little fun? School has been very stressing to him this year. You know, newbie, not being able to perform a simple magic spell. Oh no scratch that, According to Evan he was good at spells..just his aiming was bad. He seriously wondered how he had gotten in to the Quidditch team.
Daichi looked a bit sad when Jonathan was looking at his soaked clothes. It wasn't his favorite right?! "I'm very sorry about the whole water thing...i-i ..." he didn't say anything more and just bowed. Jonathan was part Asian, he knew what he meant...hopefully.
"Oh, uhm, everything is going fine." he began. "This year was loads of fun! ..except for some classes.. but Evan, you know our Prefect! He had given me lessons in spells! pretty awesome right?!" His eyes twinkled and he nodded his head to his own question. "I did however almost kill him one time.." he murmered. "But that's beside the point! I learned this cool spell that makes things explode!" His eyes started to sparkle now, a broad smile on his face.
"Ooooh!" he said immediatly exicted again. "Oooh oh! the next Quidditch match is Sunday!.. are you coming too?..did i tell you i'm on the team? ME!" He pointed to himself. "Hmm i wonder what's for dinner" he said to himself.
He laughed when Jonathan brought up the going home thing. "I live in England if your wondering" he said as he looked at Jonathan. "I was born in Milton Keynes, what about you?" he asked curiously.
At the mention of swimming, Daichi quickly shook his head left to right. "I-i-i can't swim!" Just his feet in the water was perfectly fine but going further then his legs in the water was a big NUHUH. "Thanks for not throwing me in the water as revenge..." he said awkwardly.

Macy skidded down the hill to the lagoon, trying not to pant. WHEW. She. Was. Not. Late.... Ohh, who was she kidding? There were like a gazillion people here already. She was definitely late. Spotting the container of swimsuits, she grabbed one and went back into the shaded area to change. Emerging, she looked down at herself. DUDE. She was SOOOO keeping this. Orange always was one of her favorite colors.
Stepping back out into the sun, the fourth year grinned. WOOOOO. She was ready to have some fun! Mhmm. In about two seconds she was going to be very, very wet in that lagoon water. Which was one of the reasons why beach parties were so much fun! Other than the fact that she got to drool over hot guys in bathing suits.

Marilyn had always loved water, both sound and smell. It always had the same mellowing effect on her spirit. Needless to say, she'd needed this.
She heard familiar voices behind her and spun to see Josh and Evie grinning stupidly at one another. The smirk that came to her was immediate. Who'd have thought someone could balance Evelyn out in such a noticeable way? They really were perfect for one another...
Walking the short distant to where they stood, she coughed lightly. "Well, look at the two of you..." It really was awesome watching the two interact. One could be blind and still spot from a mile away how crazy they were for each other. "Nice seeing you both again."

Fallon giggled at Iris's greeting. She gave her best friend a giant hug. You would think that the two girls hadn't seen each other in weeks. "It really is beautiful. I can't wait to go for a dip in the water." First she would need a suit though...
Fallon nodded at Iris. She figured that Iris was going to be busy today. She did plan this after all. "No problem." Fallon giggled at Iris's comment. "I'll keep that in mind." She laughed as her friend stuck her tongue. Fallon of course stuck hers out in return. They were sooooo mature...
Dallin smirked as he watched Ivory try to put her sunglasses like his. His eyebrows raised at what she said. They made up the riddles? Dang. He had a hard time solving them - he couldn't imagine actually making them up. He followed her gaze around the lagoon, his smirk replaced by a soft smile. What? He could appreciate beauty. And food, of course. "It's really cool. Seriously."
He turned his smile toward her at her suggestion. He turned to look at the waterfall again, as if he could see through it to the cove behind it. Fluorescent... algae? He nodded, looking back at her. "Sounds great!" Because who didn't fall to the lure of algae?
He blinked a bit in surprise at the sudden introduction to Ivory's friend. She had been mentioned before? Dallin bit his bottom lip, trying to remember back to the beginning of the term. It didn't ring a bell. But! That was okay, because Dal was good at covering up things that he'd forgotten. Like so.
"Hey," he said to her, moving his wrist in a wave. He just chuckled when she said something about not hearing about him. No comment. He half-smiled when the girls linked arms - they were sorta intimidating like that, huh? "Fifth," he replied, looking up from their arms to Arya's face.

"That's why I stayed close to the shore, can't get lost that way... least I don't think you can." She mused, eyes going to the path she'd taken. Arya supposed she could have gotten lost if she'd headed in the wrong direction. Giggling lightly, she twitched away from the poke and turned her attention back to Ivory. "Longer than me, though that's not saying much considering where you stay."
Arya nodded her head in agreement. "No rain dances, but we should..." Her voice trailed as her eyes were drawn to the boy that was in her friend's house. She'd planed on suggesting they'd go for a swim, but she supposed she could wait til her friend finished speaking with the boy.
Especially after the suggestion her friend had made to the boy. Her brow arched and a faint smirk appeared, but it only lasted a second before she was being pulled forward. Heh. She waggled her fingers at the boy and smiled. "Hey, Dallin. I probably haven't heard as much about you as you have about me, but I'm sure that can be fixed soon." Heh. She linked her arm with Ivy's. "So what year are you?"
Sounds great?! That was an affirmative if she ever heard one. Right? Not that she cared. No, she just wanted to show him the cool algae and the sea shell mosaic. Right?
Wait. With a sheepish smile at her friend, Ivory shrugged her slim shoulders. She could've sworn she'd mentioned him...but then again she hadn't really talked to him since the beginning of term. She'd totally have to explain that to Arya later and poke her about her smirks.
But for now she'd link her arms with her best friend and smile. "Just like us." she affirmed with a nod. "Aaand just like us I hope you plan to get wet." With a wicked gleam in her eye that spoke of probable mischievousness later, she pulled off her sunglasses and stuffed them in her beach bag.
Eyes glancing up as it seemed everyone one else finally caught up to the lagoon, the fifth year let out an excited laugh at Iris's announcement and kicked off her sandals."Alright then, lets get this shindig started!"
Shimmying out of her shorts and leaving her beach bag and sandals at the edge of the water, Ivory turned to wave at her companions. "Come on! Last one in's a rotten egg." And with that she ran across the sand her every plan on climbing the outcroppings of rocks and cannon-balling into the crystal clear water.

Dallin cocked an eyebrow at Ivory. Of course he planned on getting wet - that was the whole point of a swimming suit, yes? He smirked. Shindig? "Alright," he agreed with a laugh, stepping out of his shoes and kicking them toward her bag so that they weren't in the middle of nowhere. He took his sunglasses from the back of his head and dropped them on his shoes just as Ivory took off.
Glancing at Arya, Dal half-smiled. "Shall we?" he nodded toward Ivory before jogging after her. He climbed up the rocks, standing on the top and looking down at the invitingly-blue water. "See ya," he said with a wink before diving into the water.

As Iris left him and Selina seemed to have found a companion closer her age she seemed ok to be around, Simon looked around for more familiar faces as he debated what to do first. He came across Josh but almost just as the other Gryffindor spotted his girlfriend and rushed to her so that was another one out. Guess he would just have to strike out on his own to avoid being the third wheel or bothering anyone who didn't want to be bothered. For not the first time he missed Kyle since they tended to stick together at times like this. Pushing sadder thoughts away, he smiled and started to wander to explore the lagoon for all it held within its abandoned nature.
[SIZE="5"]Looking away from Fallon as another voice yelled her name, Iris laughed. Aurora the First Year... nearly fell right into the water.
Going and sitting down on her rock near the water again, Iris shook her head at the child. She'd cheered up a LOT since meeting her at the start of the term. That's just what Hogwarts does to kids, though. The blonde nodded in agreement. "I know it is!"
Watching as the redheaded girl went off jumping in the water, Iris smiled a bit. If Aurora came up from that dive, then Iris would consider going into the water herself... if not though...
Aurora could hold her breath for rather a long time. She had strong lungs (Well, you had to if you played the flute). Eventually she pushed her way through the water to the surface and took a deep breath of fresh air, shaking her sopping wet red locks behind her. It was a pity she didn't have anything to tie it back with... she didn't want to ruin her ribbons.
"Iris! Aren't you coming in? The water is WONDERFUL!" she shouted, floating on her back. "You too Aaron!" she yelled at mummy and daddy snake, beckoning.
Conan smiled as she sat down next to him. "I'm Conan," he said, offering his hand. "I recognise you from Quidditch." Well the pictures anyway. He never actually watched the games. Except the Ellie/Treyen game.
"What position do you play?" Since he didn't actually know. He just saw the pictures, which didn't say where you played.
He didn't really want to talk about what was upsetting her. He just wanted to talk to her. Maybe she would talk back.
Selina nodded at the boy who seemed to drop the subject fairly quickly. She appreciated that he was so sweet about it. In fact she was quite curious as to why she had never spoken to him before. But that was beside the point of their conversation, "Please to meet you Conan, I'm Selina. Unless I already said that. Right well anyway I'm Selina."
When he asked her about Quidditch her eyes brightened slightly from the dull blue they were right at that moment, "Chaser. I love Quidditch, a lot. You know it is just like nothing in the world."
