Fire and paper do not go well together. The library, therefore, features a reduced number of torches on the walls to minimize any danger to the books. A number of large stained glass windows, placed at regular intervals where the room is part of the outside wall of the castle, ensure that sufficient light gets in. Stretching all the way to the ceiling, these windows depict different famous witches and wizards, momentous historical occasions, and beautifully detailed magical creatures.
Relax on one of the cushioned window seats. Watch the floor and nearby shelves change subtly in color as the sunlight shines through the stained glass panels. Read a book under the calm gaze of Merlin or the fearsome scowl of a Manticore. Sometimes, it is difficult to stay focused here, but there are students who swear that, when sitting at the window of Rowena Ravenclaw, work gets completed faster.
All rules apply here, and although the glass can't be broken by simple spells or physical force, please be careful and respect the artwork on the windows. Remember to keep your voice down so as not to disturb those also visiting the library.

"Yeah, but you seriously need to stop dating in the same family," she shrugged. "It's not healthy at all and it's kind of creepy." Seriously, what were the odds that all three of his last girlfriends were all cousins. He did have a point that in their world everyone was related in one way or another, but he was keeping all in one family. "Well, if that's what she says then there isn't much you can really do about it." Hearing that part kind of confused her, but she wasn't one to really ask questions when it came to Marie. She learned a long time ago that somethings were just left in question. "I'm sure it will and everything will be back to normal, or as close to normal as we can expect." There was never going to be normal for them when it came to matters of the heart, but she wanted to be a bit optimistic for her bestie's sake.
"Well, I'm happy you are okay that," she beamed. The likely chance that the two of them could be friends wasn't very likely and she could accept that for now. At least her bestie and her boyfriend didn't openly fight with each other and were civil. She didn't want to have to pick between them. That would just break her heart after all.
Carter chuckled. "If you are having trouble in a class, then I'm probably failing it." he said with a smile. Seriously, it was hard to have such a brilliant friend sometimes. "Unless it's about muggle studies. I know the words to lots of muggle things by heart." he said with a smirk.
He smiled and patted her leg. "It's true. And I've given you plenty of opportunities to just walk away." He smiled. "We do. The smart, talented Ravenclaw... and... err... me." he said. Ehh... that sentence started off good...
"Hey. I didn't know." he said defending himself. "But from now on I'll be sure to ask for a background check before I even consider dating someone." he said. "Scout's honor." he said while holding up the the characteristic sign up. "Yeah, I know that there isn't much that I can do. But do you really think it has nothing to do with me?" he asked. He wasn't an egotistical freak or anything, but still... I mean, it had to. There had to be still be some inkling of hate or something in Marie or else everything between them would be fine. Well, fine-ish at least.
"Anything that makes you happy makes me happy." he said with a bright smile. Afterall, best friends supported each other's happiness... no matter the awful form that it may take.

Jonathan found himself walking to the library. Why did he come here in the first place. This is sufficiently creeping him out. Especially because he knows he's not a bookworm, he despises going to library and reading a book means lullaby for sleep.
So this is really odd.
Oh yeah, he forgot. He went there because he is going to read that muggle book his mother gave him. The book hasn;t been read ever since it was owled to him. So now, he decides to give it a try.
He opened to chapter one. His eyes looking at the words, staring at it like it's some kind of exam. His mind is going blank reading the first two sentences. Well, to Jonathan this is really boring.
Ivan sat down on one of the cushions under the windows with some parchment, quill and ink jar doodling.

With her long hair tied up in a ponytail, her long white sleeves folded and pushed up until her elbows and a mountain of books and rolls of parchment around her, Cass looked liked she had everything she needed to have an afternoon filled with studying, studying, and studying.

Cass sighed as she glanced at the books in front of her. She wasn't really in a mood to immerse herself in studies and all that..
Her hand instantly sought for the pendant on her necklace. She knew it wasn't much, but it meant the world to her. Because he gave it to her..
She sighed an leaned back against the back of the chair. It looked like she wasn't going to get any studying done anytime soon.

I'm funny? she thought completely and totally confused. How the heck could he be... Watching as he ran off TJ bit her lip, her eyes stinging. Watching as a piece of paper fell that looked like what she'd seen him stick into his pocket, she walked over and bent down to pick it up.
She considered not opening it, 'cause she really wasn't one to pry, but she wanted answers, and if Ivan wasn't gonna explain, what choice did she have? Opening the paper, she looked over the doodles, seeing the hearts and +'s. Her face turning stony, she swallowed crumpling the paper into her hand. She knew something was going on over the past few months, and even them talking it out, something hadn't sat right.
Knowing he'd actually just gone and left without another word this time, hurt so much more then when he'd told her. She'd trusted him...believed him. Tossing the paper into the garbage as she left the library she headed out to the lake.

Simon headed to the library as planned, his school sachel with both of his prepared packages carefully laid inside and the bag itself slung over his shoulder. Walking towards the stained glass windows, the seventh year glanced at his watch to see if he was running early or late as he spotted neither of his fellow Gryffindors yet in the library. Or at least where he currently stood within the large open walls of the place. But seeing as it was around the time they had arranged in the first place, he simply gave a shrug and sat down on one of the window seats, his bag placed carefully at his feet as he waited for Kurumi and Selina.

Smiling slightly, Kurumi made her way towards him and tapped him on the shoulder as she stood up on her tippy toes. "S-S-Sorry to keep you waiting!" she chirped looking down at her hands. She really should have made a quick trip into one of the restrooms to wash her hands seeing as they were still covered in dirt from her picking and arranging the flowers.

Carrying her usual dark blue bag with her, Helena made her way to the library, to spend some time studying. And... she wanted to change the surroundings a little bit, since she got kind of tired of studying in the common room or in the girl's dormitories.
The girl walked towards these pretty stained glass windows and propped her back against the wall, then slid down and made herself comfortable on the floor, in a quiet place. She took out her Ancient Runes textbook and placed it on her lap, a piece of parchment that she placed on top of it and a quill.
She wanted to translate some things, but before that, Helena started drawing some random runes. And no, she didn't have anything better to do.

"Come sit," Simon said patting the window seat beside him for there was no reason to stand. Seeing her attention on her hands, he conjured a hankerchief and held it out for Kurumi so she could wipe them off if she wanted.
Selina ran through the library extremely confused. She knew via Kurumi she was supposed to meet the cookie making lion and both of their Captain, Simon, down in the library. Her current dilemma was where exactly in the library. She found herself running faster and faster until she nearly collided with a book case. Her fast reflex skills spin her around and made her skid on her knees until she dinally stopped right in front of the two people she was looking for. Smiling broadly she said, "There you two are! I was wondering where we were meeting." As she spoke each word she brushed herself stood up. The tiny Gryffindor was trying very hard not too look embarrassed by her grand entrance. She fwlt it was very much a Bill moment.

Selina blushed when Simon stood up from his seat. She cast her eyes down to the door and scratched the back of her head awkwardly, "Yeah, I'm fine. You know nothing a little ice can't fix," she droppes her voice to a soft whisper, "Although my pride may need something a little stronger than ice."
When Simon started to focus on a chair for himself Selina was silently thankful. Her fall was no longer the topic of conversation although she would not be surprised if Kurumi let lose a few giggles. Merlin knows Selina did when Bill and Kurumi ran into one another that day. But for now she took a seat on the window seat as Simon seemed to be hinting too and said, "That's really fine. Its not a big deal. Just one question, why exactly the library?"
