If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are no windows as the common room is located under the lake and a fire burning green in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

Yes, Jonathan felt tired. The great news about this is that any time soon they'll be going home for summer vacation, which is really awesome since he can't wait to go and meet his so-called cousins and aunt. His parents told him they won't be home this summer so Jonathan will just have to bear the summer days without them.
Not to worry though. His aunt's house is awesome and Ryu would be there. Double awesome. Jonathan is an only child so the thought of having to spend the summer with someone he looks up to makes him a little bit hyper and excited for school to just end in a heartbeat.
He untie his Slytherin tie so that he could actually be comfortable. He sat down cozily and looked up at the ceiling. There was nothing much for him to do the whole day. He's just bored and tired, that's all.
Still on that comfortable armchair, Helena was wondering how on Earth she was going to be able to meditate for one hundred minutes without falling asleep. Or maybe she should just stop trying to do the very few things from that list of tasks from... the one who was supposed to be their Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. Maybe she won't even get points, so why bother?
The girl decided to just stay there and look around the common room. No staring, juuust looking. And... she eventually noticed the presence of a boy not far from her. He didn't look like he was waiting for someone, so should she say anything? Since she was bored, he seemed bored... No, maybe he actually was waiting for someone. But what if...
"Hi," Helena suddenly said, before she got the chance to think twice. Great. Say hi, and nothing else. VERY nice move.

Yes, Jonathan is so bored that he doesn't know what to exactly do at the moment. He's not even in the mood to make any of those projects and homework. He just felt tired or better yet, LAZY at this moment. Gaining points was something he wants to have but not like this. He needs to just calm down and be more relaxed.
A voice appearing from no where startled Jonathan a bit. Blink.
He looked to see it was Slytherin girl saying 'Hi' to him. Perhaps another younger year? Well, she does look young. Jonathan smiled at her "Hi".
Cue, awkward silence.
Shoot. What else was there to discuss? Introduction perhaps? Jonathan tapped the empty seat beside him and looked at her again "Come sit down" he said. Well, he is in the mood for making new acquaintances, especially from females.
"I'm Jonathan by the way" he introduced himself. Yeah, what the heck. They're both Slytherins anyway. Getting to know each other should be something really important.

Slightly biting her lower lip, Helena kept telling herself that she should say something else besides that lame 'hi', or else this boy might think that she's some weird and silly girl or something like that. But there she was, just sitting there, while her mouth was simply refusing to cooperate.
She was extremely grateful when he suddenly said something, but as she realized what...
Blink, blink.
The girl stood up and made a few steps towards him, to sit down over there, next to him. "I'm Helena," she finally said, then smiled. "It's nice to meet you." See? She could talk, after all!
When she finally got the chance to look properly at Jonathan, she realized that she didn't quite see him around. And... he couldn't be a first year. Maybe he just moved? Or maybe Helena was... blind. But anyway, she decided not to ask him that, or else he might think she's rude. "What year are you in?" She asked all of a sudden, mostly just to say something. She didn't like those moments of awkward silence.

Was it really weird to have asked someone to come sit next to you? Jonathan feels quite at awe at that but the girl's reaction felt a bit shy when he asked her so. Okay. Next time no more doing of that. It's weird to some people.
Note to self.
"Pleasure to meet you Helena" now that's just too formal isn't it? Well, Jonathan IS very formal especially to people he just met. He doesn't like goofing around people he barely knows.
She has a sweet smile though. Jonathan just observes a lot of things.
"Fourth year." he smiled to her. She should be more or less a second year perhaps? She looks younger but she's not one of the first years. So definitely a second or a third year.

There seemed to be something on his mind... but Helena couldn't tell what. Maybe, or most probably, he was thinking that she was acting weird. Yes, that had to be the problem, and she had to do something about about it. She didn't want to make a bad impression from the beginning.
But there he was, smiling. Maybe the girl wasn't as weird as she thought she was, since people don't just smile at weird people, right?
Oh, a fourth year. "I haven't seen you around much," she said with a smile, but then felt her cheeks sliiiightly turn pink, as soon as she realized what she had just told him. It was a silly thing to say, but since she probably was a silly girl, she had the right to say silly things. She could even get a trophy for her fascinating statements.
Aiden makes way into the common room and throws herself onto a long sofa. Head tilted upwards, she stares at the ceiling for a moment. She would like to get some rest before doing Shaw's homework.

Well, Jonathan is not much around as well too. Whenever he's a Hogwarts he just go automatically lazy. He just go sleep in the dorm rooms or go buy stuffs at Hogwsmeade. It's really silly that he doesn't enjoy much of the view at Hogwarts.
"I don't go out the common room that often" well, outside the DORM ROOM to be precise with that.
Then another awkward silence. Jonathan doesn't know why but he just can;t come up with anything good today. Is he that tired? He doesn't even know what else to talk about.
Homework? NAHH.
Lafay? NAHH.
Hogsmeade? NAHH.
DADA Project? Too over rated.
He snapped his fingers as the smiled to her "There'll be a meeting at the common room sometime this week. Important news" as he heard correctly. "What do you think are we going to talk about?" yes. that could be an interesting topic.

Oh. That had to be the reason Helena didn't see him around. She didn't really spend much time in the common room, since she liked wandering around the castle, alone or not. And if he was spending his free time in the boys' dorm... not a chance. Not that she wanted to go there.
The girl just gave him a slight nod in response, but then there was that awkward silence again. She hated those moments. All she could do was stare, and she was definitely not going to do that.
Helena gasped as Jonathan snapped his fingers, because... well, she didn't expect that, and she could be easily scared. But to her relief, he came up with a subject. "I've been thinking about that a lot. You know, there's been this house meeting last year with professor Lafay, and it didn't quite start well." Or wasn't that one time when she told them that they don't have manners, or things like that.
But what if... "I know!" She suddenly said, as a big grin appeared on her face. "Maybe it's professor Lafay's birthday, and they want us to think of a present for her." Yup. Great idea.
Alright, enough talking. "What do you think?"

It hurt no one, it relaxed both sides and they got to discuss their problems. Sure, it didn't solve anything at all, and they didn't exactly punch each other to solve them either. It may be much less elegant than having a 'civilised discussion', but it was 'manly' to the core.
"But I thought he had a right to know," he said as if it was the most natural thing on the world. "I mean, obviously Mina didn't tell him... he should know. It's his filthy mind that took it very incorrectly." Yeah, he hadn't told anything bad, it was completely Carter's fault to understand it way off. So, after all, none of it was his fault AGAIN, even though he may have provoked some.
...Evan nodded at her in a sure manner. "Yup, I don't think you can like him. I mean, look at her, Marie. Such a coward! Even I have more courage than him." And if Evan Cartwright had more courage than someone, it meant something. "He may have treated you well, I don't know... but I still think he was 'cute' and whatever to get you at first. I mean, if I liked a girl and if her boyfriend was missing, I would definitely take the chance." And it totally didn't mean he had no morals. It was just the way of the world, and was called 'seizing the opportunity'.
He blinked. In fact no, he had never thought that maybe Carter tried to get him. "Still he pointed it out, and deserved that punch very rightly." In fact, he deserved more, but Evan did promise to Mina, and now it seemed he was going to promise Marie; so he just had to avoid the boy to keep his anger down. If he found out that the next year Carter was trying to hook up with Mina though... he was a dead man... now that the topic was on...
"May I ask a favour? Maybe Carter was really friendly to you, maybe not. He's a male after all, and what looked like friendship to you could have been a move for him. I dunno." Skipping the comment 'For me nothing can change my belief of his low morals.' He figured it may enrage her again. "But I know one thing: I don't want him anywhere near Mina next year. I mean of course, he's her best friend and such... but you know his tactics and stuff... so please, please, don't let him get into Mina's mind, either with his own romantic interest or with his stupid ideas about me." He had a feeling Carter would try, and he didn't want him to even think trying.
Good, Marie had made sure Carter understood that. He certainly didn't need a best friend of Mina who still believed Evan was after Marie. He listened on, now feeling sliiiightly silly that maybe he'd understood Marie incorrectly as well. "Yes, it looks like so," he mused, eyeing the floor for a moment as he relived today. First Carter punching him for a misunderstanding that he never should have thought of, then he took off for misunderstanding Marie. Talk about comedy. This was better than all those Muggle dramas.
"We are past that point," he said, looking at her again. "But as I said, I don't like his influence on you two. It's almost as if I have a less effect, y'know, less reliability, in your eyes." Especially in Marie's. If given he and Carter were saying two opposite things that she had no idea of, she'd go for Carter's testimony.
Grrr. Evan just wasn't getting the point here was he. "He did have a right to know but it wasn't your place to tell him. He should have heard it from Mina. Think about it. If that was me and Carter, who would you rather hear it from?" She knew damn well he wouldn't want to hear it from Carter. Not the way he had told Carter about him and Mina. "And don't tell me you weren't gloating about it to him. I know you Evan and I know how much you hate Carter and would do anything to get to him." Including flaunting your love for Carter's best friend.
His next comments earned a glare from her.
*GLARE*
"Gee thanks Evan. And I suppose you think I'm not actually capable of loving liking Matty, or that I didn't really like Jim or Finn either, that they all decieved me just to get with them. Thanks for thinking so little of me. You're a great friend there." Seriously, why was it HE was capable of liking other girls but she wasn't capable of liking othr guys? "And another thing. Why is it that it would be alright for YOU to go after a girl that had been in my position but it isn't okay for him to do it." Not that she was saying that's what Carter did, but still. Evan was acting like it would be alright for him to 'deceive' a girl. Talk about having double standards.
Grrrr! Was Evan even listeing to himself? "So let me get this straight. It was okay for you to punch him because he told you that Mina had been in love with him... something that was not a lie. Yet it wasn't okay for him to punch you for rubbing it in that his best friend is in love with you?" Again with the double standars here.
Oh, and now he wants her to do something for him. After he called her fat, said she was incapable of liking any other guy and tolod her it was okay for him to do the same things he was punching Carter for. Oh this she had to hear. "You can ask, doesn't mean I'll o it though."
O___O
Was he serious here? He wanted her to keep Mina away from Carter, away from her best friend once he was gone from school. Yeah right, like that was going to happen. "You have got to be kidding me Evan. I will NOT keep Mina away from Carter. They are [i]friends[/s], nothing more. The sooner you realize that the better things will be for you. Besides, why should I try to keep her away from him? I TRIED keeping YOU away from Sophie last term but did it work? NO! You still insisted on hanging out with her and flirting with her every chance you got. I will NOT try to keep two friends apart from each other, especially wshen I know nothing is going to happen between them." Seriousely, if he wanted a babysitter for Mina he was looking at the wrong person for that. "Furthermore, I do NOT know these tactics you seem to think Carter uses." Sitting back in the chair she put her feet up on the table in front of her and glared at Evan some more. "Tell me Evan. Are you going to tell Mina you want her to stay away from Carter or do you expect me to be the bad guy here and try to keep those two apart?" Which she was NOT going to do no matter what he said.
Well at least he agreed this whole mess was a big musunnderstanding. Nowto just get him past all this other... stuff.
Marie was ready to reach out and slap a prefect here. He was irritating her to no end. "The only one influencing your effect on me Evan is you. Carter has nothing to do with that. It is all you and the way you treat me sometimes... like you telling me i'm not capable of liking someone. Or you and your double standards. You want me to trat you like I do him then stop having a set of rules for you and a different set for him." If he isnisted o nhaving double standars though then she was going to keep acting the way she was.

That's really cute. She startled when Jonathan snapped his fingers. It was just something to get rid of all the awkward silence. Not his type of conversation. Jonathan loves a more lively and friendly conversation. Awkward pauses like these just makes him weird.
"Dunno about what are we going to talk about. Must be something really important" but he's betting it won't be a Lafay thing. Probably Professor Lafay would be right there to note down every student who came. She wants every Slytherin student to really participate in this meeting. What could the meeting be?
Who knows about that really...
"Why do you think it's a birthday present for Professor?" he asked. Quite amuse to what the girl suggested but a little bit curious to why she said it in the first place. Probably some higher years talked about it and she heard them. Could be something the Head Girl have leaked. Up to this point no one really knows what's going to be discuss. So Jonathan will be attending this meeting. "Maybe I'll meet you here next time the meeting is held" Jonathan would definitely sit next to her again just like now.
He smiled.
He won't believe if the girl would be right about that. She looked really positive and adorable with her opinion.

Important? Well... yes, since, as far as Helena knew, all the slytherins had to be there. And it most probably wasn't going to be about professor Lafay's birthday. She didn't even know when it is.
At Jonathan's question, Helena only shrugged. "You asked me what I thought we're going to talk about," the girl said innocently, with a tiny grin on her face. "It was just one of my" extremely "stupid ideas." Yup, she was good at coming up with stupid ideas. "Do you think the other houses have this kind of meeting?" She suddenly asked curiously. Well, she didn't ask anyone from some other house. It would make her even more curious to find out that only the slytherins had this meeting.
But then... He'll meet her next time? Hmmm.
He wasn't leaving, was he? Because this whole 'meeting next time' thing sounded like he was about to leave that moment. Let's hope not. "Yes, you will," Helena said, nodding. "I suppose you'll come, then," she added with a smile, pretty much pointing out the obvious. They all had to go, d'oh.

Jonathan chuckled as the second year replied him. Jonathan's friends are mostly younger than him but Helena is just adorable to look at... and to listen to as well. He fumbled her hair since it's quite weird to just pinch people in the cheeks. Especially when you just got acquainted. Now, that's just super weird.
He smiled. "No need to be upset." he said as he saw her grin. Jonathan was completely just joking around. He thinks that the idea of having this meeting because it was Lafay's birthday is hilarious.
Jonathan even chuckled some more when Helena referred to her ideas as stupid. "No they're not." well they kinda are but seriously, that idea could eventually happen. Giving Lafay a birthday present will be epic. Or better yet throwing her a surprise birthday party. Well then, after that they would just all get detention---- sooo maybe, throwing her party wouldn't be the best idea.
Sighing after the long laugh he just had. He looked at her "Yeah, I guess so too." he said. Maybe they might meet again when the meeting finally arrives. It's a big common room and there are many Slytherins, so there might be a possibility they wouldn't meet. But who knows?

... what did he just do... with her hair?
As Jonathan did... whatever he did, Helena's cheeks turned into a bright shade of red. She was tempted to cover them with her hands, but then he'll surely notice. And, you know, boys don't usually notice things, so she hoped that. But still, since her skin was really pale all the time, he might notice. All she could do was hope that he wouldn't.
Hmm? "Upset?" The girl repeated, before she could think, while her eyes went a little bit wider. Uhh he was probably just joking and she most probably couldn't notice. Anyway, she couldn't look at him like that for a long time, so she eventually giggled laughed as well.
Her ideas weren't stupid? "Oh, yes, they are," Helena insisted with a big grin on her face. She wasn't going to let this one go. Hehe.
She gave him a smile after his last statement, then started curling a strand of her hair around her fingers, without actually being aware of it. "Are you doing that Divination assignment?" She asked all of a sudden, mostly just to avoid some other moments of awkward silence.

She.Blushed?. No. Jonathan shouldn't make things awkward to people. He folded his arms and sat comfortably again. Looking at Helena he tried to apologize "Sorry" about the whole fumbling of hair. He doesn't mean to do so.
Note that. No more fumbling girls' hair.
"No they're not" Jonathan smiled. The only thing funny about it was because she mentioned they were stupid other than that Jonathan thinks that would be a brilliant idea to do so. Anything Lafay stuff is definitely something to be remembered.
Divination? They had a homework on that subject as well? Jonathan could use a spell that definitely STOPS time. He knows there are A LOT of homework to do, they just keep piling up. It's so annoying. He shook his head and sighed "Nope." he said.
He doesn't know when to all start the second half of his homework. Lately, he's just tired of doing a lot of things. He prefers staying in the Slytherin's dorm and just sleep.sleep.SLEEP!!!
Oh well, summer will come by quickly anyway. That he is ready for. He looked at Helena and asked "How about you?" maybe she already started on it.

Okay, maybe Helena was wrong, and maybe boys did notice things. Uhh and apparently she made him feel bad with this whole weird behavior. She wanted to tell him that it's alright, but she only mouthered it. No more words wanted to come out.
"Don't you know that girls are always right?" The girl asked with an eyebrow raised, as a smirk appeared on her face. Yes, he should know that. Girls were right, even if they weren't. If that makes any sense. "So yes, they are," she said stubbornly, and then... her attempt of smiling turned out to be a grin.
Oh, maybe it was a bad idea to start talking about that. "I want to, but you know that we have to give a bouquet to someone and, since girls are not the ones who give flowers," obviously, "I don't know what to do," she said, smiling.

Jonathan's eyes widened when he said that ALL GIRLS ARE RIGHT? Whoah! Whoah! Whoah! Now that's just plain weird in so many levels. Yeah, probably in some ways girls tend to insist that they should be right and the guys would just go through it and agree with them. "Really?" he leaned closer to her this time and his eyes narrowed. "In what way?" he smiled.
If she can prove it then maybe Jonathan could agree to her as well, which is another way of proving her theory that girls are always right.
Oh yeah that one. Jonathan blushed. He wanted to give it to someone but is so shy to do so. "It's a very awkward homework." he laughed "So who are you giving it to?" he asked the second year.

Oups.
Maybe she shouldn't have said that, since it didn't look like Jonathan took it the right way.
Hmmm in what way were the girls always right? "There's no way," Helena said with a wiiiiide grin. Her cheeks were starting to hurt, but she couldn't help it. "That's the rule," she added, this time giggling. He looked kind of dangerous, as he leaned closer and narrowed his eyes, but it only made Helena giggle. Hehe.
HA! Now he was the one blushing!
"Awkward?" The girl asked amazed, looking at him with her wide eyes. "It's very sweet. But it should've been only for boys. The girls could've had something else to do," she added quickly, so Jonathan wouldn't think that she wanted the assignment to be only for boys.
"I don't know," Helena shrugged, smiling. "Don't you have someone special to give it to?" She asked, sliiiiightly smirking. Yes, she was extremely curious.

Technically in some cases Helena could be a little bit right. Since guys don't normally want to argue with their partner or their girl friends so yeah, they would just take it all in and let them be right. No arguments there. Besides it's a hassle to argue with one. Jonathan tried that once and he ended up getting kicked by Jeanne.
Jonathan can sometimes be really stubborn and arrogant. It's in his nature that when he believes in something, he would always insist that belief.
"yes it is awkward" he said to her. Well, he doesn't have all the guts to just give the bouquet to that special someone and be like 'i like you'. That's just weird. The girl would just think he's a complete and total psycho if ever he did do that. "That would be unfair if you girls did something different" yeah, equality!!!
Jonathan smiled to himself after hearing that question. Yes, he has that someone to give those bouquet to. Only that, he's really scared to do so. What if he gets slapped or gets hexed? Or worse... turned down.
He didn't answer Helena though, he just nodded for confirmation. That should be enough for an answer.

Hmm it looked like Jonathan was giving in, since he didn't say anything else. See? Helena was right. Girls were always right. Hehe. Or maybe he didn't say anything, so she would shut up. Maybe? Maybe not?
"It's awkward for girls to give flowers," she mumbled, pouting and crossing her arms. She was aware of the fact that she was acting like a silly, little child, but she didn't care. Hmph. And... unfair? Fine. She'll do that assignment as soon as she leaves the common room.
But then... the girl waited for an answer, but no more words came out of his mouth. Until he nodded.
...
Ouch. That hurt.
She didn't say anything else; just blinked a couple of times and then leaned back against her seat. Well, she kind of expected that answer... or nod, or whatever, but she didn't quite want to hear... see it. And yes, there was that awkward silence again. Helena was just so amazingly... awesome when it came to conversations.

"It's not awkward. It's cuter if girls were the one who gave the flowers" he grinned. Yeah, it's true or at least to Jonathan that is. He would be more glad if girls had this homework done rather than them. Come on, people nowadays don't give bouquets. You only see it on marriages. NOT IN SCHOOL.
Sigh.
There was a long pause and awkward silence. Jonathan looked at Helena. Something wrong with her? She seemed kinda out-of-place or something. Jonathan is about to speak up and break the awkward silence in the air when he suddenly saw his wrist watch.
THAT'S THE TIME ALREADY? REALLY?
He only promised himself a 15 minute break and now it's gone to an hour. He still need to finish of what's left of his bouquet. Plus he needs to gather up every strength he has for today. After he finished that bouquet it will go directly to the person he likes.
"Sorry, I have to go" he said in a worried tone. He's very much in a hurry, he has to hurry up or else the flowers would go dry and would look ugly if he gives them to someone."I'll talk to you next time" he said tapping her arm lightly.
Jonathan stood up and stretched his arm. Well, back to finishing that bouquet while flowers are still fresh. He waved goodbye to Helena and went to the boy's dorm room.

Cuter? Well... girls might make a bouquet look prettier, but there were guys really good at this as well. But Helena didn't insist more. It would've been just... lame. Pathetic? Silly?
Uhh she could feel his eyes on her now, but before she could think of anything or even look back at him, she felt her arm being... tapped? o___O It was her, right? The reason he was leaving. He must've thought that she was some kind of weird freak or something or...
"Bye," the girl said, almost sure that he wouldn't hear her, since he was already gone. She was looking blankly as he was making his way up to the dorms, wondering when would that 'next time' be.
Anyway. She stood up as well and left the common room. She had flowers to look for.
Maria nodded. "Welcome to the club. You heard about it right? Ad and Cass created it when they were younger. And I swear that I'm not kidding" she said, holding her hands up. It was meant as a joke, but it was still real.
Mikey smiled at Maria and slipped his hand in hers. "I guess coming from such horrific background's we each have our own problem" he replied

Danielle glided across the room in her usual graceful way before she approached a comfty looking sofa nearby and sat down.
Sigh
Maybe now she could relax for a little at least...
She laid out on the sofa, kicking off her pretty dolly shoes and moving her blonde, curls over her shoulders as she closed her eyes for a little... but the noise got to her and she resigned to sitting back up again. She fumbled through the cute satchel she always had on her and pulled out her muggle Vogue magazine- she always had to keep up to date with this stuff if she ever wanted to make it in the big bad fashion world.

After having a shower after the big Quidditch match, the Malfoy dressed casually walked into her common room. Her blonde straightened hair bounced with each step she took. THE SNAKES WERE VICTORIOUS OVER THE LIONS! The Malfoy would have found some Gryffie's to tease about it but didn't because she was too tired to go up all those flights of stairs.
Emma spotted a blonde Slytherin reading a Vogue magazine by the fireplace. Ooh. The Malfoy spotted the cover and immeadiately loved the clothes that the actress was wearing on the front. Somehow by getting a boyfriend, the Malfoy became more girly, but maybe she was being more girly because she just got out of a Quidditch match. The blonde took a seat opposite from the blonde and got her book out, starting to read.
A few seconds later, her brown eyes gazed over to the other girl and smiled. "Ah, reading Vogue? That's nice. How's the fashion looking?" asked the Malfoy casually and beaming the other girl a smile. "I'm Emma. Emma Malfoy. Fourth Year Slytherin."
