Melina heard Preston introduce himself and liked him immediately. He had this quirky grin that lit up his face, and he seemed really friendly. She noticed that he stuttered a bit when he talked, and wondered if it was a normal pattern of speech for him or if he was just reeeeeaaaaaalllly nervous. She understood the nervous part!
Preston reminded her of her friend Colson back in Muggle elementary school. In the 2nd grade, a boy decided to make fun of Colson's stuttering. Big mistake- she beat the tar out of him. Nobody messed with Melina's friends. Her mother was furious, but her father (the ex-Auror) gave her a silent thumbs-up. Later he told her that he was proud that she stuck up for a friend. He really was a true Gryffie.
"Hi Preston!" she said brightly, "I'm Melina Morninglory, and I'm a first-year. You look like you might be...hmmm...a 3rd year or something?"
Preston turned his head towards the voice that was speaking to him. He continued to smile, he knew his plan of attack for making Ravenclaw friends would work. "Hey!" Preston greeted again. "N-N-Nice t-t-to m-meet you M-M-Mel-Melina." Preston said nodding his head a couple of times. "W-Welcome t-t-to H-Hog-Hogwarts." Preston said throwing his arms up into the air and motioning around him. "Yep." He said nodding his head a few more times as he dropped his arms back down to the table. "Th-third y-year." He confirmed.

He just made her smile- he had this sunshine aura around him. "So, what's Ravenclaw like? I'm so excited to be here- I really wanted to get sorted in this house!" She hadn't yet realized that Preston was not a fellow Eagle.
"So, can you give me any inside scoop for classes tomorrow? Like nice teachers vs. scary ones?" she said with a grin.

She wasn't actually angry but she was only a bit annoyed. Bonnie was more shocked, confused and absoulutly exstatic. Bonnie grinned and pushed away the empty bowl of soup and grabbed a chicken drumstick and started eating. She dropped some chips on her plate and dug into her meal. "So, any news?"
(Girl meaning: Are you going out with someone)
Not that she really cared of course.
As Bonnie hugged him, Sebastian spun them in a small circle, laughing as he stopped. He really missed this blondie of herself. Then, it seemed like an emotional blow hit him and he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's a long story, but hey we have time, right?" He said giving a small smile. He really did want to tell her anyways. The 7th year took a seat beside her, clearing his throat to block a laugh that was coming his way as he watched Bonnie pile up the food on her plate.
"So long story short-my parent's just decided that they weren't going to have a divorce. They worked things out and such, so they decided to just stay here. Oh and my father; he has retired from the muggle military as well." Seb said with a nod, grabbing a chip from the bowl and tossing it into his mouth as he devoured it. Yum. As he ate, he raised an eyebrow at Bonnie as she asked if there was any news. Of course, most boys didn't know what that meant because they are confused by what girls mean most of the time; so he just sat there with a blank stare upon his face.
Rowan's jaw nearly hit the floor. "Poor Rex. It's been so long since I've seen him, I had no idea. I didn't even know Rene had left." She fought to hold back the tears. Some friend she turned out to be. Rex was the best friend she'd ever had and she had no idea. "I hope he has someone there for him right now. Maybe Jason?"
" Do not worry, there is nothing you could do about that relationship" William told Rowan." Jason is there to help him, but his wedding to Victoria is coming up in July" William explained to Rowan. " Rex could use a friend like you over at Jason's "William said to Rowan.

Actually, she was dying to be Sorted to get it over with. Zaira wanted to head over to which ever House she would be Sorted into and eat. She was starving.
Finally, it was her turn and she beamed. She picked up the Sorting Hat confidently, sat on the stool and placed it on top of her head. She stared absentmindedly at the Entrance Hall, not noticing everyone who had all their eyes on her. Suddenly, the Sorting Hat burst out, "RAVENCLAW!"
She took off the Hat carefully and placed it on the stool for the next person to use, who looked like she was about to vomit. Strolling to her House, Zaira smiled, took out her book, found an empty and began reading her book. She wasn't the type to talk much or interact. Reading satisfied her.
" Excuse me, I do not think we are allowed to read at the feast" William laughed. " My name is William Montcenaggioaka Starr" he introduced himself to the girl. " How do you like it at HogWarts>" William asked the girl.

Mina returned his smile with another of her own. "Yeah, if you thought you could rid of me before, I'm kind of here to stay now," she teased. Oh how she did miss being about to joke with her friends again. It really was something that she was lacking the last two years.
Spanning the hall again, she noticed Ellie and someone that she had just seem not too long. Hearing Jacob, she smiled and nodded. "Yup, that would be Tibi." She was sure the others thought he looked different, but she was used to the change considering she did see him around the last two years.
Raising her hand slightly, she gave a wave. The rumour was true and that house cup really was theirs again this term.
"Oh Merlin!" he said with a laugh, "So I really do have to deal with you for an entire year again. Oh, The Torture" Yup, it was good to be back with the people he'd first started this school with. Sure many had Dropped out, but there was Mina, and Jacob, and...
Tibi. So it really was him. Odd. He was speechless. That was no longer Tibi... it just wasn't him. Jacob rubbed the back of his neck. What was he supposed to say. The kid had changed so much... Heck, He probably didn't recognize Jacob either.
So Jacob decided to just focus back on the Staff table, awaiting the headmasters speech, and the glorious feast to come. Come one, Tate. Just get over with it, some people are starving here!
His voice echoed in her ears for a moment. Mum really wanted me to start over while I was at Beauxbatons. Start over...That's what her mother had wanted as well after...that year. Eyes darkening for a split second at the rush of unwelcome memories, she shook her head slightly, the better to push them far, far, away.
Her smile picked up again as she tuned back into what he was saying. "Tibs, it is then." Compromise see. It made life better.
Overhearing Ellie inviting him to sit down, Ivory nodded along her bangs once again falling in her eyes. "Yeah, come on sit with us. We can all catch up."
Glancing up at the sound of her name, Ivory felt her smile widen in delight. "Hey Sophie!" Using her hips to scoot closer to Dallin to make more room between the first years and herself, she gave her fellow prefect a one armed hug as she sat down. Because hugs were for friends and that's what she considered Sophie. "It's going well, I think. No trouble," Yet. There'd been a few mischievous first years she was keeping an eye on due to their ambiguous conversation that might or might not involve a ridiculous prank or food fight, but aside from that everything seemed to be going swimmingly. "How's everything over at the Gryff table?"

"Um..." Beth Lourie scanned the Ravenclaw table for a space, and maybe a group around her age. This was all new to her, even though she was thirteen, this would be her first year at Hogwarts. "Er, hi I'm, er... Beth, oh yeah, Beth Lourie. C-could I, um, sit here if that's ok? With you all I mean. I'm sorry, it's ok if you, er, don't want me. I s'pose you d-don't..." People never did. "I'll just go, will I?" She asked, eyeing the vacancy hopefully.

"Hi Beth. I'm Rowan. It's nice to meet you. Please," she said and pat the seat next to her, "have a seat."
Jeanne looked at the girl Slytherin girl that sat in the Ravenclaw table. Jeanne had a mannerism of staring at people. She doesn't know why but she just do that all the time. The blonde girl looks very pretty and adorable especially with her Slytherin uniform. She's very lovely.
Was she in the same as her or is she younger or is she older? Jeanne wanted to ask but was too shy.
Fee sat there at the Ravenclaw table and suddenly felt eyes on her.Who was that? And why was that person staring at her?!Turning her head the blonde saw a brunette sitting there and smiled."Hi you",she waved.Had the blonde something in her face?Did shre really look that horrible? There had to be a reason why this girl was staring at her.

What?Rex lost Rene?Oh no that didnt sound too good.Fee really wished he would be here now. With her being at Hogwarts and him being far away it wasnt easy foe her to comfort him.But she wpuld write him aletter."I wish i could be there for him",the girl sighed,"i hate how he always has trouble with girls.I dont know whats wrong with them."rex was such a great guy what was going on in these girls heads?!
Jeanne nodded to Hugo. Talking about Beauxbatons made her feel uneasy but it didn't matter to her now that she's back at Hogwarts. "No, i don't" Jeanne shook her head when Hugo asked if she knew a girl names Danielle. She barely knew anyone the whole time she was there. The school made her feel insecure for some reason. While at Beauxbatons she only focused more on studying to get rid of the loneliness. "you heard right." she laughed about the cake part. "they're quite particular with diet." Diet-shmiet. "French people eat so little." she laughed softly reminiscing her meal days at Beauxbatons. They also had a lot of food but it barely gets eaten since everyone was 'watching their weight' or something. What was that about?
Jeanne looked at the staff table when Hugo started to talk about the professors. She doesn't know them or is quite familiar with them. "i've heard about that story from Treyen." true. Treyen did tell her about the missing professors when they met at Diagon Alley. Well, no one knew how the professors just suddenly disappeared but it really is a suspicious crime.

"How can you not eat cake?" Hugo sighed. What a terrible school. Now think about Durmstrang. They would eat live pigs or something. Hugo shrugged the thought off and focused back to Jeanne. "Well, you're at Hogwarts now so you can do whatever you want," he said and smiled. "Well, not WHATEVER. But I guess this school would be more fun," he nodded. He wouldn't ever want to go to Beauxbatons or Durmstrang. Heavens, no.
Hugo took a gulp form his pumpkin juice and frowned slightly. "Who's Treyen?" He knew the name, from somewhere. But he had no idea who the guy was.
Then he noticed she looked at Fee. He stared with her and leaned on his arm. "Hmm, isn't she pretty?" he said to Jeanne looking at Fee. He sighed. "That would be Fee..."

Her eyes dancing as she met Treyen's eyes, Ivory just gave a small secret girl smile and turned back to Dallin. It wouldn't do for a girl to go decrypting another girl's actions to the boy in question. There was a girl code too you know.
Nevertheless, as she saw Ellie's excitement for her gift she made a tiny thumbs up behind Dallin's back just in case Treyen happened to be looking. Hopefully Dallin didn't think she was invading his personal space at random.

"Treyen," she said definitively, "I LOVE it. Beyond words." End of story. Only, now she didn't know what to do with it. She was just holding it in the most careful way possible. If she put it in her bag, it could get smushed or wrinkled or scratched or all of the above. If she put it on the table, well, the table might not be SPOTLESS to begin with, but it could also get spilled on and wrinkled and stuff. If she put it one her NOW clean plate, that was just it; it was clean NOW, but Merlin knew when Tate would make his speech and suddenly it would be BURIED under food. No. Ellie wasn't taking any of those kind of chances, so she glanced up once more at the Staff Table. She needed help.
The fourth year nodded when Treyen introduced her. Finally. Maybe she won't be SO confused anymore.
She decided she liked this Tiberius on one reason. He didn't offer up his hand. She liked that. At least one kid was up to pace with her and her not liking the formalities of it. It was just...formal. Meh. Besides, her hands were now busy with the AUTOGRAPHED picture of epicness. "It's good to meet you too," she said, looking up at him. "Do you want to...sit," she asked, gesturing by means of a head jerk to the space next to her. Remarkably it was free, even after Treyen had forced her to scoot aside when forcing his way between herself and Dallin. Mainly, she was tired of looking up...and felt short. Something she was definitely not used to beside Treyen. And she didn't feel like standing.
Ooooh he went to Beauxbatons? Not...always, apparently, but still, that was pretty cool. That's where Mina went while she was away. That must be THE place to be if you're not HERE. Otherwise, it was Hogwarts ALL the way.
Tibs. Heh. Interesting nickname.
But, yeah, sit? Please?
Treyen had noticed the thumbs up, and gave Ivy a smile, a small one. He'll have to talk to her, though, and explain things a little bit better. But that wasn't happening here at the table, of course.
He was still having trouble at believing Tiberius was actually here, with them, it was just...amazing.
"Beauxbatons?" but that was so close-by, no? Well, to Treyen, because he'd gone to France a couple times this past few years, which means, he'd been close to Tibi, no? "How was it in there?" like, compared to Hogwarts.
The fifth year thought he knew the answer to that, because Tiberius was back in Hogwarts. And...had the sixth year known those Beauxbatons students that came to visit them?
And now, Ellie was smiling, he was smiling, Ivy was, everyone at the Ravenclaw table should.
Yet, the reason for his favorite Ravenclaw's smile HAD to be thanks to him, that was Treyen's first thought, him and the picture. And since his name was brought up, he looked at her again, only to smile even wider, if possible, at her response.
So, long story short. He'd managed to mend his mistake, and she'd loved the gift. Perfect.
The boy did fail to notice the fact that Ellie was looking for a place to keep the picture safe, he would've provided numerous spells to do so, but he was more focused on what she had to say to Tiberius.
And he smiled, once again, while nodding. "Absolutely, you should join us," he so approved of Tiberius taking that spot. He was more than welcome to sit next to Ellie.
Gavin had spent a good deal of time talking with his new friends but they were now busy with other conversations. He decided it was time to stand up and walked around the table for other friendly and new faces. He was yet to meet any boy his age and he wondered if he would be the only one in his dormitory.
This school was definitely showing him side of himself he didn't even know he had. He now felt compele to know as many people from his house as possible. Ravenclaw! He was so proud.
It was with a smile on his face that he began walking around his house table, trying to establish eye contact with another future friend.

"You are SO stuck with me now," she teased with a tiny evil laugh. "I'd just learn to love it and be done with it." Yes, she was truly at home once again. The feeling of belonging that she had yearned for at Beauxbatons, she once again felt at Hogwarts. She would be finishing her schooling with those she started with. That was something that really pleased her greatly.
Shaking her head at Jacob's reaction to Tibi, she laughed softly. Beauxbatons was rather good for the both of them and they came back looking a little different, but it wasn't like they were different people all together. "You know, I bet he still remembers you. Being on a quidditch team together kind of beings people together." She knew that from her own experience. That last year where they all played was one that would always be cemented in her memory. She adored all her house mates and no one could really change that.
Her eyes glanced over toward the staff table and frowned. "You know I don't think I know most of them." She had hoped to still see Lainey, Truebridge, and Kingsley up there still, but their seats were now filled by others. She did take some comfort that there were some faces she still remembered.
"Oi, Fee," he said and waved at her from the other side of the table.
Fee turned her head as she heard the most amazing voice calling her name and smiled. There he was,her boyfriend, leaning his head on his arm."Hey Hugo",she waved,"enjoying the feast?"it made her happy that he seemed to make new friends in his house, that would do him good.
"Which classes are you both most excited for?" Olivia questioned, making sure she gave both of her new friends equal attention. "I'm most excited for Transfiguration. Charms is probably the most useful, but Transfiguration just seems like the most fun!" Olivia looked around at others eating before spotting her empty plate and blushing slightly. Oops. She'd been so excited to meet people that she'd forgotten to eat.
"Oh, and did you two notice the ship?" She couldn't see that they wouldn't have. The first years had been rowed right past it after all. "My parents never mentioned anything about that. Neither did my older brother Barney. He's graduated already. It looks kind of creepy, doesn't it?"
"I can't wait for Potions!" Emmy exclaimed. "Don't you think it would be soooo cool to be able to make all of the different concoctions?"
"Yeah, I saw the ship. It looked scary. I read something in the newspaper, the, er, Daily Herald? Anyway, I don't think it's supposed to be there." Emmy said mysteriously. She adored mysteries and hoped to solve one of her own at Hogwarts.

Emerald noticed Gavin get up and walk around. "Bye!" Emmy said quietly with a small wave. She hoped she'd see him later. He seemed like a person she'd get along with real well.
"I can't wait to become a Weasley and I am excited about marrying Jason" she told her cousin and then said to Jason's niece "I can't wait to be Mrs Victoria Weasley!"
" Victoria Weasley, it sounds, perfect. eeek this is exciting."
"But I am worried about my brother because his fiancee has left him and they was getting married soon too!" she told Ember.
Ember gasped. " Really, but thats dreadful, how is he?" Ember couldn't believe that something like that could happen, and how hard it would be to cope.
Ember frowned. " That is terrible, but dont feel bad, i mean this is your big day, and i am pretty sure your brother will find another fiancee who treats him like one should be treated. and then he will be happy." Ember looked around the hall from where she was sitting opposite Victoria. She thought of Victoria and her uncles wedding and smiled again. "i still cannot believe that we will soon be related. Its great."
Ellie had sat silently for awhile, mindlessly thinking about the upcoming school year. She should socialise a bit, make some friends so it wasn't entirely suckish. Her eyes darted around the table for someone to talk to.
She noticed a girl around her age come to the table. She looked kind. "Hi, I'm Ellie Summers, a sixth year." She said kindly, smiling at the girl.
Caroline looked around for someone she knew. Then noticing that a girl that looked her age addressed her. Oh she was a sixth year as well. She smiled at the girl named Ellie. She wondered if she was a new sixth year. "Hey, I'm Caroline Scott. I'm a sixth year as well." She was sure that she hadn't seen her around before but she really didn't know that many Ravenclaws.
