Sophie arrived at the Gryffindor house table in her new gold and red robes with her prefect badge pinned visibly to her chest. The brunette 16 year old wasn’t happy but you couldn’t tell that by her face. No, on the outside she was cherry, friendly and happy as usual. Sophie would after the feast and the first years were settled in, go and cry out somewhere alone.
With a warm and bright smile she applauded first year after first year as they joined the ranks of Gryffindor house. It was her duty as a senior student and prefect after all. Further up the table Patroclus broke out into a welcome roar. Massaging her ears to stop the ringing Sophie stood up and speak to the table "Welcome to Gryffindor house first years and transfer students I’m Sophie Connolly the female house prefect."
Gesturing to Patroclus with a slightly distasteful wink of her eye she continued "And that boy over there who just roared is Patroclus Hudson the male house prefect. If you have any questions about anything or just can’t find your way to a class we’re here to help you all out! Also Gryffindors Head of house is Madam Donovan the Hogwarts librarian." she finishied pointing up at Madam Donovan who luckily already was seated at the staff table.
Sitting down again Sophie glanced over at the Slytherin table wondering if Evan was sitting there or with his girlfriend.

"Me? Lucky? Nuh-uh. I've always wanted a big brother, so he could protect me. Also, at my house, I'm always locked up within the gates and was never allowed to go outside. It's always good to have a brother to talk to." Zara said, as she took another bite of the cake, which she didn't even know the name or the flavor. She just knew it was so delicious. "I've always wanted one, and you got five of them. Wow, imagine that. You're the one who's lucky.

Ella looked down the table again and snorted as she spotted one of the triplets snort Pumpkin juice out of his nose. Rolling her eyes she turned away. 'Yup and three of them are triplets.. identical. Almost, anyway.'
Ella took another bite of her apple crumble. 'I suppose it's always been handy.. like if somebody was being nasty.. but to be fair I wasn't really bullied at my Muggle school...'
She swatted behind her as one of her eldest brothers walked by with his friends, and ruffled her hair. 'It's okay, people always point it out. They say they can tell we're related by the way we act too..'
She decided to change the subject.. 'Sooo... what classes are you looking forward to? I can't wait to get out into the greenhouses!'

"That would be great!" Tayla exclaimed, her blue eyes sparkling. "I've never been in a wizard's house before," she said, blushing slightly. "Mum's a witch and we knew that ever since I can remember, but she hardly talked about magic until I got my letter - and well, we live in the Muggle world." Tayla took another sip of her pumpkin juice then helped herself with some pink and blue-coloured ice cream. "I don't know how she does it...not letting us live with all these awesome stuff! I love magic!"
Tayla paused and offered Zara some ice cream. "Hey Zara, what do you love best about being a witch?"
