She gave Selina a grin and laughed, as she joked calling Kyle Captain Kyle. She looked from Selina to Kyle and back to Selina waiting to hear the answer "Yeah, when Captain Kyle?" She joked around about Captain Kyle as well.

Grinning, ear to ear, Mihkel leaned in a little bit as if sharing a secret that the rest of the world should know. After all, mysterious black ship. Traps. Disarmed. "I don't really know I figured I'd get Ravenclaw. I mean, I'm pretty brilliant if I do say so myself, but I suppose it could be a weird balance thing or something. Maybe Gryffindor didn't have enough students for Gryffindor. Maybe some 5th year got ate by a Venemous Tentactula or something and I have to fill his spot, because... you know I'm smart, but I don't like LOVE books or anything." It was a good theory. He liked it.

"How did you get stuck here? Was it your interest in Dragons? Did the Hat take that as a sign of the courage and/or mental instability that is commonly associated with this house?" He was only half joking. Gryffindors were nuts. His cousin once painted himself in Hufflepuff colours to win points at a school spirit/camaraderie competition.

Maybe he had taken an interest in her. Maybe it was a sibling. Either way, he was thrilled that he hadn't taken the chance to go and talk to a certain blonde instead. It was possible he had forgotten who she was. One could only hope.

The black fourth year averted his eyes again. He didn't dare think of approaching him or throwing a handful of mashed potatoes in his direction. It was too soon.

Christopher looked around while Selina had paused to talk to some of her older friends. He wasn't too outgoing, so he'd preferred to sit back and just take in all of his surroundings. Gosh, it was so good to be back home. The third year's eyes scanned the table, and soon
fell upon Levi,a boy to whom he'd had a brief aquaintanceship.

Though on the train, Christopher was positive the older boy had tried to break his fingers clean off. He wasn't really sure why though. Perhaps he was just a bit down about leaving school, and now was happier that they had all returned. There was only one way to find out!

Zara saw from across the table a guy who was talking to another guy. He seemed to look like a student from higher years. Probably a second year or third year. 'This is it.' Zara thought. 'I'll go up and introduce myself to a student from a higher level.' She summoned up all her courage, after all, she was a Gryffindor. She stood up from her seat and marched all the way across the table until she reached the boy. Standing behind him, Zara closed her eyes while saying to herself, 'You're a Gryffindor, Zara. Be brave. Be brave. You're only gonna introduce yourself.'

Then she poked the back of the boy with her finger, and waited for him to turn and notice her.

If she had come out saying that she was asking things related to Hogwarts classes, her mother would probably have kicked her out of the house for at least a week. "I'll help where I can," she smiled. "Father gave me a few pointers this summer that should help with studying techniques."

"Maybe," she laughed tossing her head around a bit and her black locks falling over her shoulders. "Me...a Prefect...almost hard to imagine," she blushed. Some would say that she was probably just fishing for compliments, but it really was remarkable to think that someone who had been as timid as she had been could have grown THAT much in three years time.

"I'd love to," Kurumi nodded. "I am actually going to go over notes tonight before I go to bed. Magical theory I am pretty good at, but I think you are much better at the practical application. We can help each other."

Does that mean you can give detentions..?"

Lucas slid into a seat. He couldn't believe the term was about to start. It had been a looooong summer. He was glad, though. He was actually really looking forward to starting up real school again instead of homeschooling. He'd met a few people here and there, but he hadn't really made any friends yet. He was really hoping to be able to do that here. He sighed contentedly at the sight of all the awesome food. Yeeeeeees, he thought. Food! I love food!

Heather noticed a boy seated alone. She smiled. No one should be alone on such joyous occasion. So she dug through her pockets for another chocolate frog and approached the boy, gathering as much courage as she had to say Hello. After all, it is her turn to be confident and say hello to everyone.

And if that were the case, then she would see how much it really meant to him that she was being such a good friend. He'd never really been close to anyone, and these kind gestures meant more to him than words. It was all he could do to stop himself from choking up a little. "So your parents are okay with that? Us staying with you?" He didn't want to accept any invitation or get his hopes up if Selina's parents weren't in the position for two children to move in with them during the summers.

Matilda: Can I call you Chris? Yes I am pureblood witch. Yes my parents were in Gryffindor too. Sorry if I have been so harsh towards the Slytherin house but the thing is that I don't have any friends in that house all my friends which I know already are in the Gryffindor house like Jordan,Thomas,Ariella and you but if you can be so nice and introduce some of your Slytherin friends to me I would appreciate that indeed so much.So what is your bloodstatus?Did I talk too much?If I am talking too much please tell me.

Kurumi looked down the table and saw a boy she had met looking at kittens. She had probably come off as a nervous wreck at that time, so now was her chance to make up for it. Standing up, and grabbing one of her Gryffindor cookies and approaching the boy. "H-Hello again, Lucas," she said with only a slight stutter from being nervous. "Welcome to Gryffindor." She smiled and offer the cookie.

"You are welcome," she smiled blushing a bit. "Just be sure that you don't open it or else you will have bad luck for the rest of your life."

She wasn't joking either. It was written on all the signs in the shrines.

And she was going to take his word that they were better at the Gryffie table. But the carrots.. "I should have shoved a Slytherin carrot in Josh's mouth so he could compare them."

Hehe. His mouth was big enough, she was sure two would fit.

Her nose wrinkled slightly at the question of how she is. She was fine.. up until Evelyn went and got all bossy and angry and annoying on her. Pffft. But she wasn't going to tell Patroclus that and thankfully his words of missing her threw all thoughts of Evelyn from her head.. and caused her face to heat up. "I missed you too." she managed to whisper out right before coming face to fork with a potato.

BAHAHA!!

He didn't expect her to really eat that, did he?

Sure, he wouldn't be able to eat it, but he could surely use a toy. Eirwen loved to play with stuffed animals and ball. Zara trained her so. "So, adorable things huh? Dora stared at the crowds for a little while with a small pout. She didn't know anyone on THIS table and that made her sad. Because on THIS table she was unpopular and that was just EW.

Slumping into her seat, she reached out for some pumpkin juice. Nom. ^_____^

"Well I'm rather not, after that speech of the headmaster..." Hugo said as he rolled his eyes. "I think it's wrong that the ministry is sticking their noses in our business," he said. "Next thing you know when you're breaking one rule they escort you to Azkaban!" Hugo frowned. Okay, that was a bit mad but he really didn't like the sound of it. "Did she really now?" Hugo asked surprised. "Well she hasn't ever done anything bad to me personally... But the lady still freaks me out," he said. "Anyway, I'm looking forward to our homework and study sessions," Hugo nodded. "And baking cookies with you and..." he took the notebook from his pocket to see that checklist again. "Ah yes, and practising non verbal spells and wandless magic. Oh and the Aguamenti charm, but I think I have made progress with that one. As well as with the Undetectable Extension Charm. I can make small spaces the size of a sock now," he chuckled. He looked at the note above that. "Ask dad how airplanes work" Oh yes. There was a check next to it. "Oh by the way, I found out more about the aerplain things! I think I've got a pretty good idea of how they work," Hugo nodded enthusiastically.

Hugo thought about flying when she told about it so vividly. The wind through his hair... He would love it. "Ahh I want to join the Quidditch team so bad," he said. "Though I'm afraid I'm not good enough..."

"Well, it took me over a year to learn it and even know I can't make any space larger than the inside of a sock. But it's a start," he said and smiled. "I also had a go at the aguamenti charm which was a bit easier, I think I can produce a reasonable jet of water now," he nodded. "...For about three seconds..." But these spells were REALLY hard! "If I get really good at the Undetectable Extension Charm I could go live in my trunk," Hugo chuckled. "Of course I wasn't able to practise over the summer so I just learned all the practical bits and studied the incantation and movement carefully, and looked at the results on the train," Hugo explained.
