Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

And Orlando had no intention of stopping, if it meant waking the little guy up. "You are being too selfless" he stated, amazed that she was planning to give Rufus up for someone else. "I mean .. with Koala, even though I just got him - I know I am just too selfish in his case .. can't let anyone take him" he smiled, he wasn't that proud over being selfish but it was Koala so yeah.
Yet again, unpredictable as Lexi was - she made Orlando jump from being guilty to laughing with her. She was giggling! HOW could he not get distracted by that and forget his embarrassment. It was clear that she was not mad. "You are so unpredictable, Lexi" he admitted honestly. "And I am sorry again, that I am no help"
He wanted to help but he wasn't sure he understood her problem.

After finishing one of the many tasks from the ever-growing pile of homework, Ariadne decided to take a break and headed to the Common Room, realizing how little time she had truly spent here from the beginning of the year onwards. And what a pity it was, since the room was so pleasant and comfortable. The young Gryffindor sat in an armchair by the fireplace, hoping to get warm, and opened a box of sugar quills. Nothing more pleasant than sitting by the fireplace eating sweets in winter. Only after spending so much time alone lately, mostly studying, Ari felt the need for conversation. Truth be told, she felt a bit homesick, which didn't improve her general state in the least, as she was also exhausted after doing so much schoolwork.

He threw his legs over one of the armrests and then leaned against the other one. Ah, much better. Who needed to sit in their favorite chair when they could lounge in a different one? "I'm Carter by the way." he said holding out a hand in greeting toward her.

Plus, it was always lovely to meet fellow housemates. 'That, I think, is an unbeatable record.' she chuckled upon hearing the comment about sugar quills. 'I take it you like them, so please have some.' the girl said, pushing the box closer to her housemate. 'Ariadne Marchbanks, or simply Ari.' she replied, shaking the boy's hand. The youn Gryffindor mentally congratulated herself for the fact that her handshake had improved since starting Hogwarts, and now it didn't indicate nervousness. 'Nice to meet you, Carter. Coming from Quidditch practice?' Ari asked. 'I don't know who's on the team and who isn't, since Quidditch is not among my interests.' she added with sincerity, but then felt the need for clarification. 'That's not to say I don't support the team. I'm a Gryffindor above all else.' the girl said proudly. 'I hope we'll win the House Cup this year.' If not, she would take it as a personal failure.
