Nope, no one did." not really. there wasn't much news about that. And talk later? She looked at the first year. "well, i suppose we could...later...i still have to go give Kurumi her photos...as well as Selina,...and if the team wanted to..." she looked at her back pack, knowing it was filled with photographs of the team while they were playing.

Selina arranged all of the food to make sure that all of her hungry lions did not go hungry or get angry from the lack of variety. Then she saw that lots of sweets and treats were flying her way and landing perfectly on the set up. Her lips broke out into a smile knowing very well who cast the little spell. When she turned around her suspicions were right because there stood Kurumi Hollingberry wand in hand and already starting to mingle with the growing crowd. Selina did a double take, the growing crowd! There was a lot of people gathering in the Common Room. And a lot of them were yelling to her and saying hello.

...They knew her name? Selina never was one to think that people would even have any idea that she existed. Sometimes she wasn't even sure if she existed. But obviously all of these people knew who she was. So she made her way over to the crowd and addressed every person.

First she walked up to Nika and hugged her, "Yeah long time no see, partner. I'm glad you could trek your way down to the Common Room for this little shin dig. You having any fun?" She hoped that she was. Selina genuinely liked Nika and being that they were one of the few second year Gryffindor girls they had to stick together.

Then she moved to Heather and poked her in the side, "Hey there stranger." She then offered her friend a hug and said, "Glad you enjoyed the game. We had fun, Ravenclaw is just, well, they are really good. Actually I take that back... their keeper is really good. As in really good."

Nodding to Heather she walked over to Raven and nodded to him, "That's the school spirit. And the house spirit! I'm glad you enjoyed the game." She paused and looked at his current position, "Try not to enhale the pizza though. You could choke."

She then heard a small voice that was piping up from the other side of the room. Selina's eye caught the little first year Rose and smiled endearingly. Could it really be only a year ago that Selina was in her position? Time flies so fast... for a twelve year old, "Yeah Rose. We still have a really good chance via how we played today. I mean I wouldn't count us out. Hufflepuff and Slytherin are gonna be ours."

As she walked over to Kurumi she paused at the sight in front of her. Josh was curled up and looked exhausted. She tapped him on the shoulder and said, "Hey there. Tired much?"

Finally she skipped over to Kurumi and engulfed her friend in a bear hug, "You did brilliant. I am so proud of you Kurumi! I know I've said it like four times, but we haven't really been alone since the game so I thought I'd tell you. You really did make me proud out there."

While she was about to continue with Kurumi she heard the makings of a sour tone off in the corner. Selina turned on her heel and wasn't surprised when it was William. He was addressing her and blatantly ignoring Kurumi. If he was smart he would have dealt with Kurumi... she was MUCH nicer than Selina. So she walked over to him and said, "Well at least I got to wear the uniform. And we got close to scoring almost every play, but they are the best team at the school. I wouldn't count us out at the Cup though. You can watch in the stands if you want."

Kurumi was thoroughly squished once more by Selina in a celebratory hug. Not that the lioness really minded. She swore that she felt tears welding up in her eyes when she heard the second year say that she was proud of her. "And like I have said before," she smiled hugging the girl back. Kurumi blushed a bit as she took notice of the adorable dimples that appeared on Josh's face when he was smiling, but not just any smile, those only showed up when he was feeling serene and relaxed. Kurumi supposed it had something to do with him surviving that dragon he had battled for detention. She squeaked softly and began to run her fingers through her hair when he called her princess.

Her eyes followed Josh's tie as it too was flung across the room and landed near Walnut's PERFECTLY VISIBLE feet. The cat began to paw at it and did a sort of strange little waddle-dance on top of his robes - but Kurumi's attention was fully on Josh. "Well, as long as you are comfortable," she smiled shrugging her shoulders and deciding to join him on the floor. "Bed are not boring," she laughed shaking her head and tossing her long black locks over her shoulder. "I'd never slept in one until Hogwarts. I always slept on the floor on my futon." Which is probably why she had spent most of her first week jumping up and down on her bed having pillow fights when she was a first year. "Walnut could keep you company in the dorms...since..." she blushed a bit and swayed back and forth awkwardly. "...since.....you know, girls can't get into the boys' dormitory."

Kurumi noticed Josh's nostrils flair a bit, so she cast a Summoning Charm on one of each cookie and had then hover above Josh's head. "To celebrate the Quidditch match," she smiled. "I recommend the lemon signet cookies."

Meanwhile, Kurumi swore she heard a noise that sounded like a small stream of water dripping from a faucet...


Kurumi was about to say that she couldn't have even imagined herself on a broom, but the time for such comments had long passed. "And I will continue to do so," she winked. Now she had Selina helping her out, but Lexi had also offered to take her out flying one day.

"Walnut is only three years old," Kurumi smiled as she began looking around for him. He should be around somewhere. "I got him as a gift right before my first term. He was even smaller then." Muchkins were not all that big to begin with really. Her head darted around as the running water smell was then attached to, well, something that it ought not to be attached to.

Scooting around on her bottom, Kurumi's eyes widened and she gasped when she saw Walnut squatting on Josh's robes he had thrown aimlessly towards one of he corners of the common room earlier.

"I-I-I wasn't even thinking about having a relationship in my first year...things just sort of happened last term..." she trailed off and her cheeks flushed a bright pink as she thought about a certain Badger Prince. Naw...it wasn't possible that that...

She needed to stop thinking about that right now.

She really meant that they can keep it. That's why she took photos of them.



True, every team has bad days. "And a team learns from those bad days to get better." at least, that's what she believes. "As long as they don't give up...i don't think the team will give up...judging their spirits. They'll go all out and keep fighting." yep, that is quite true.

Heather only smiled back at William as he referred to the photographs and then saying his thanks to her for agreeing to talk with him later. "Sure...just tell me when you want to talk with me." Very later, once she's done talking with everyone else in the common room.

Smiling slightly she made her way to her little lion cublet and said, "Congrats on the snitch capture, Kurumi. You did very well." Even with the loss she couldn't deny that Kurumi had done a fair job. "Anytime you want to fly or have a go at dodging bludgers or sommat let me know," she said with a nod as she plopped into a seat and began to take her scarf and hat off.

Kurumi then saw her teammate, who she hadn't really spoke to and knew more about him as a flyer than as a person since they had tried out against one another as Beaters during tryouts. "H-H-Hello Jai," Kurumi said bowing a bit as she addressed him. "W-Would you like something to eat or drink?"

Kurumi then saw a very cold looking Ariella on the sofa and grabbed a gold and red knit blanket and threw it around her shoulders. "How do you feel after your first match?" Kurumi asked with a wide smile on her face. Truth was, it was her first match ever as well.

Kurumi really couldn't tell if William was being sarcastic or not considering he had been bad mouthing the team only a few moments earlier and had been ever since the results of the try outs had been posted. Blinking away confusion for a moment, Kurumi managed a weak smile. "T-T-Thank you, William," she replied with a small bow of her head. "It was my first match ever...and I wasn't planning on playing Seeker. Simon said that it suited me best, so I agreed to give it a try. I...I am glad that my first opponent was one of the best. I was able to learn a lot." She then looked around at everyone who was chatting, eating, and just relaxing - forgetting for a moment that there were assignments to do and a match that had been lost. "Selina and I thought it would be a nice way to brighten everyone's spirits. Winter can often make...people feel lonely." She frowned slightly.

The spark in Kurumi's eyes brightened when she saw Lexi step through the portal and approach her. A smile a mile wide appeared on her face. "Thank you Lexi," she grinned as she felt the blood rush to her cheeks. "I-I didn't really think I would catch one...Ravenclaw is a very good team and their Seeker is so fast." Kurumi looked at the ground and aimlessly kicked away a dust bunny. Seeing Lexi flop down on the sofa, Kurumi giggled as she ran off towards the tea and poured the older lioness a cup - making sure to add honey to it - before flopping down on the sofa next to her and handing the steaming cup to her. "I'd like that very much," she nodded.

Probably something achievable, not like Ari's dream of becoming a wandmaker. Hmph.

'All professors are interesting, but I'd use the word mental only for Shaw, no one else. And besides, I think we all have our moments of insanity.' she chuckled.
