Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

"To be honest, I don't understand why would people want to fight with you." he stated, scratching the kitten's chin - because it kept bringing it up and purring, it clearly wanted him to fulfill it's wishes. Shrugging slightly she sighed. " Salander and I had a fight. The first one we have ever really had... I have been trying to spend more time around here rather than by his side all the time." She motioned to the common room as if to say, ' See.' She pulled a slight face and shrugged once more as she sprawled out on the sofa. " Other than that I have been helping a friend of mine with her magic. She's a third year and in desperate need of proper defense training. So I have obliged."
Yeah. Professor Lexi was helping the kids. Hehe. " Whatchu been doing?"

Getting as excited as he usually did, when someone asked him about Koala more - the boy pulled his legs up and folded them, to sit more comfortably. "It's a crup, yep!" he answered, hugging Merlin close. "And yes, I figured Merlin doesn't know. It seems a bit demand-y" Orlando said, laughing lightly. Well it did. Orlando wasn't sure if cats could make expressions but he could swear he could see Merlin feeling slightly too pleased about Orlando abiding to his wishes. "Yep, like the bear" he grinned, slightly when she it was cute. Who hasn't said that? For a moment, he wandered what would KT think if she knew Lexi was calling him Lando.
It was her next statement, however, which truly did bring Orlando's grinning down. She was having boy troubles? Lando felt an uncomfortable itch run inside him. He wasn't sure what to say. He hadn't ever been in a conversation regarding boy troubles. Sure there was the trouble going on with Legend and KT but that was different. They were best friends. And all. "Is that your boyfriend?" Orlando asked, the first thing that came into his mind. Because he wasn't sure who Salander was or if Lexi had a boyfriend. "Why are you spending your time here?" he asked another question, not sure what else to say.
It was probably embarrassment time again, when Lexi figured out Lando sucked at serious talks about relationships and all. Of course KT was different, with KT the whole brother/friend vibe came on a whole different level. Comforting things comes out his mouth for her almost naturally. BUT with all the other girls .. Orlando was an awkward wreck. "That's really cool" he added, when he heard her talk about mentoring a third year.
"Oh I have been doing nothing. Just classes and stuff" he nodded. His life was boring.

" I spend time here when I want to hide out really. I love my housemates, but most of my friends are in different houses. So if I get tired of everyone I stay in here. Hehe. But of course there are exceptions. You're my friend and I don't mind you talking to me," she felt the need to add the last so that he wouldn't feel like she was telling him to shove off.
Shrugs. That was what Lexi gave Orlando. " I love magic. I might not be good at all of it... but I am good at some of it and if I can help anyone then I will." Okay she was really proud of that. REALLY.
" What do you think happened to Truebridge. I loved Runes since he taught it... this Viking dude creeps me out a bit."

Orlando blinked. Did she just swatted at him? Playfully of course. But the gesture, nonetheless was something he was not used to. Not from girl's anyway. Legend, of course, punched him on the arm all the time.
He chuckled, lightly. "Well it's not a good thing but I can see why Merlin thinks that way" The kitty was too cute and furry, it had a right to have such thoughts. It made sense. Vanity, but deserved. He continued petting him when Merlin swatted him as well. "I am petting! I am petting!" Orlando laughed.
It was amusing to watch Lexi sigh and tell him stuff at one moment and giggle at the next when Rufus was being awesome Rufus yet again. Girls and their amusing acts. One day, he would know all those acts and he would write a book. He gave a small 'Oh' and nodded, at the new information. So she had a boy friend. Good for her. Maybe not? Cause she was sighing when she told her about him.
It was complicated to understand Lexi. Orlando's dumb brain could not wrap itself Lexi - why would she get tired of her friends? WHY would she want to hide out. There was just so much he could ask her. HE really could. But he would freak her out probably, so he refrained. Not wanting to sound stupid, he nodded and said: "I understand" and smiled when she called him, her friend. He never expected that to happen of course.
"That is really cool of you, Lexi - it really is" There were definitely too many sides of Lexi, Orlando decided.
"Oh he was fine, I guess?" he said, rubbing his neck lightly. "I was never good at Runes .." he replied awkwardly. "Be it Vikings or Truebridge, I would forever suck at Runes .. so it didn't really make any difference for me .. now that he teaches it." Orlando told her, shrugging. He was being honest.

Merlin PUUUUUUUUUUUURRED louder still as the boy did as he wished and gave him more petting. Mhm. That was the stuff. His little kitty eyes began to close as he kind of... hugged Orlando's arm with his front paws.
"How Sabel ended up with a cat that was vain I will never know. He is the most selfless person I have ever known in my life." Truth. Total truth. Sabel was one of the best people she knew as well.
Lexi snorted loudly as Rufus hugged her face and rubbed his little monkey cheek against hers. Heheh. Rufus was the BEST gift she had ever gotten. "You know Rufus was given to me also. As a sixteenth birthday gift. I have always loved this little guy. I might leave him to someone when I leave here for good too... it seems that he really belongs here." She petted his little head and smiled.
"You do? Can you explain it to me? Sometimes I want to hide from the world... and I don't really know why," she said as she shifted Rufus as she rolled over on her side to look at Orlando hopefully.
Eh. SHE was really cool. It was a fact. Smiling at Orlando she shrugged and said, "Turns out people around here look up to me. What kind of Mama Lion would I be if I didn't set a good example?"
Shaking her head Lexi smiled. "I wasn't either. It was last term that I got interested and tried harder. I get it now. Well I thought I did... until the Viking dude showed up. Truebs is an epic teacher. I just wish he was here to teach us now. I can help you with Runes sometime if you want." SMIIIIILES.

Orlando watched as Merlin's tiny eyes began to close. AWW. Why did the little guy had to be so cute. Orlando might just end up petting him always, if it continued to be like that.
Orlando chuckled. Come to think of it, how did he end up with such a sly and flirty dog, he would never know. Where Orlando can't even talk properly with girls, Koala just jumps onto their laps and licks them and stuff. It made him think of Ryden, she was the only one who was so fond of the Koala. So Sabel ending up with a cat who was unlike him was understandable.
"You are planning to eave Rufus with someone?" Orlando asked, a little shocked. "I don't really think, he wants to leave you" he said, watching Rufus hug Lexi. Yeah, clearly he did not want to be leave Lexi.
Oh.
Crap.
Busted even before the lie had properly come out his lips. Can you explain it to me? Sometimes I want to hide from the world... and I don't really know why .. Good one, Renaldi. Now explain to the girl, the insight you have on life. Orlando's cheeks reddened immediately. Lexi was probably going through something .. and Orlando had just walked into a trap, he build for himself. "I am sorry Lexi .. I lied" he said, lowering his gaze from hers because she was suddenly looking at him with hope. "I just didn't .. want to sound dumb so I said I understand .. I really don't" His voice was low, feeling guilty.
She went on to talk about her being Mama Lion and Runes but feeling too guilty and embarrassed (somehow that happened a lot around Lexi and in odd ways) - Orlando did not respond much, just nodded slightly, looking down at Merlin while stroking the sleeping cat's fur.

Merlin's little kitty mouth had fallen open just a tad and the tip of his little kitty tongue could be seen sticking out juuuuust a tad. It was kind of the cutest thing of life.
" I had thought about it. I mean. I will be travelling a good bit when I leave here. I want Rufus to have a stable home. And he loves it here ya know. And besides that, I would love for him to bring joy to someone else's life... but I might not be able to part with him to be honest. I adore him to much," she said as she hugged the little marmoset to her and pet his head. He really was the best gift she had ever received in her life... well aside for the diamond tiara... and the house elf. Heh.
Lexi watched as Orlando's face turned beetroot red. What the hell? She quirked an eyebrow at him and shook her head. She didn't GET boys sometimes. They were CLEARLY the odder of the species. " Oh pfft. Don't be embarrassed by that! I do it all the time. I just nod and smile and say MHM and pretend I know exactly what is going on when really I am thinking about what I will have for dinner," she said with a fit of giggles. It was SO true. She did often drift off when people spoke to her.
