"I could, I dunno if there will be anything really interesting to do here anyways so exploring the school is always a good option." He replied before starting to eat the food that he had on his plate before it got cold. "So seeing as we really didn't get to talk much on the train, what are your hobbies?" That was strictly Matt's curiosity speaking but still he wanted to know.

Katie was glad that he encouraged questions, cause she always likes to ask questions, she was curious about things "Is it hard to get the seeker position?" Katie giggled, she wanted to know how much she needed to practice, lots? or LOTS?

Katie giggled, she really liked Mery, like they have known each other forever, Katie blushed, Katie wanted to be seeker ever so badly, "Thanks, I just so badly want to be seeker, but then again who knows what the other seeker wanna be's are like" Katie sighed, they might practice 24/7! If so Katie would as well, "If you are willing to practice with me would you like both before and after classes or just one of the two? by the way, I wil be waking up early" Katie giggled.

Adam wasted no time in taking a few fries off the golden plate.
But then he choke when he heard that Dianna thought the Dragon Lady teacher was COOL.

Ok so he's never met the teacher before but he heard very bad stuff about her.

He was coughing so hard."Cool?!"He asked astounded.
"She took out my girlfriends Kurumi's bones out of her body...Please do explain how is that cool?"

Had he ever played Quidditch, just that once with Kurumi, but that was with bubblegums. But he had practiced a bit with a few of his friends...

No I haven't. I just learned how to fly pretty well last year...So this would be my first year.."He answered."You probably already answered this but have you played it for long also?"

"Alright then." She said. "Hobbies?" Evangeline thought for a moment. "I like flying, but not so much playing quidditch. But I love watching it. I like drawing, when I get the chance, and I read a lot. But I always like having something to do, so I'm rather active. I'm outside a lot." She told Matt. "And yourself?"

Ooh, that's a tough one. The captain thought. "Well, It all depends who you're going up against. You gotta be the BEST Seeker that tries out. I know there are some really good people trying out this year for seeker, so you gotta be the BEST." That seemed to suffice.

"Okay, I meant to say that her class was cool..I think.." she pondered for a moment. "Oh so you know that girl! Yeah, I actually remembered that incident." she said. Wasn't a pleasant scene.

"But I guess if I rate all the classes here at Hogwarts, Potion will be on top. Ever since first year Potion was always exciting. I mean did you know that she actually made us bald in one of her classes?" she said as she took a big gulp of pumpkin juice from her goblet. "Not that I liked it..." she quickly added to avoid misinterpretations.

"Well, I'm artist as well; I love drawing, I actually brought my sketchbook and pencils with me, I love sports; mainly surfing and baseball. I'm a bit of a klutz when it comes to flying, though I'm working on it cause last time I went flying over the ocean and tried to do a loop and fell off." Matt grimaced slightly at that memory since it wasn't exactly something he liked to think about much anymore, he preferred ground transportation for that very reason.

Katie thought, this was going to be hard, "Do you know any good seeker wanna be's?" Katie asked, it would be cool if she knew her compotion, then she had another question, and another, "Also if lets say I tried out for seeker but I didn't get it and you thought I would be the best chasers could I still be a chaser or no?" Katie asked, she wanted to be on the team badly, "and Also is there such thing as a seeker back up?" Katie giggled, she would like to be at least a back up seeker.

"Oh really? Well thats really cool that you learned to fly just last year and are already trying out this year!" Meredith said. That gave her a little hope that she could learn to fly as well and still be okay at quiddtich. "Haha, yes you did, but thats fine, i forget stuff like that a lot. Um, no. Not at all! I can't even fly! But i just made up that my goal for this school year is to learn to fly, haha. Sad, right?"

He grinned, and hoped to Merlin that Jamie didn't see the faint blush that spread across his cheeks at the compliment of his family. "When I look at the stars I see nothing and everything." Tyrone sat back a little in his seat, looking up to the ceiling and going off into his own little world as he explained, a genuine smile plastered on his face and a passionate glint in his eyes. "I can see flowers, five pointed stars, I even saw a frog once. But beyond all of that, the stars can tell the future, if you know how to read them and where to look. To see one's own future, or that of someone close. That is what I want to do one day. I want to be able to look to the stars and read what is hidden within them, not just the images that they make as seen by some random person through time."

Smirking, she nods slowly, Fascinating... She liked this professor already. Put fear in the children, to get them to obey. "TJ Michaels." she said simply, introducing herself. Just so the professor would know her, when or if she chose to come to class. She might have to see if that particular class was needed for her to get ahead in life.

If it were muggle studies...there was no way she'd be there. An unneeded class she felt that was.

Meredith smiled. "Awww, i really hope you do! Was the seeker from last year trying out again? Or did he/she graduate?" Meredith asked. Meredith was so thankful of Katie letting her practice with her! With Katie's help she may be able to somehow try out for the team this year! She didn't think she had a chance for this year though, if first years were even allowed, but thats okay, she would devote this year to learn how to fly. "I would say both, but i would have to go with after classes. trust me, you do Not want to see me that early, i am not a morning person at all!"

In all honesty, Aaron's answer was no. He didn't EXACTLY know who was going to try out... But he wasn't going to SAY that. "Well that would ruin all the fun, now wouldn't it?" He said with a smile. Nice one, Anderson. Aaron began to answer the second question, but then he got interrupted by a third. Her laugh made him laugh. "Calm, down..." Aaron smiled. "Well, if you try out for seeker, I'm going to compare you with the rest of the seeker. You can, if you want to, put down on the sign up sheet that you'll be anything, but PREFERABLY seeker." Aaron winked at her. He just gave her a great tip on how to widen her chances.

"And in regards to being a back up... Yes and no. We do have a reserve team, for the extra few who didn't quite make it that would replace a player if he/she is hurt or very sick. But, the reserves aren't for any specific position. For example, if you were on the reserves, and a beater was hurt, you would go in as a beater..." That was a bit confusing, the boy thought.

After being sorted, Georgiana felt slightly nervous, after all she was a first year and didn't know what to expect, if people will be nice to her or a loner. Her siblings had been in Hogwarts too all of them graduated and they talked of how awesome the school was; she was expecting to agree with them. She glanced around to find a seat while she was walking, she saw some Gryffindors and Ravenclaws at the Slytherin table, she didn't mind after all she wanted to have friends of the others houses too. She was getting near to the seat she spotted near some students of maybe 2 or 3 year. "I hope to make friends" she thought, she wasn't good at starting conversations but definitely was going to make an effort.

Katie smiled, seems she will have to wait then "So by writting that I would also be compared with chasers and seekers but seeker is more of a chance cause I wrote preferred?" Katie asked, she wanted to make sure it was more likely she got a part, oh she wanted to be a part of the team. XD

"Oh I get that, so if I am good but not good enough I might make a reserve?" She smiled, that would be awesome if she at least had something to do at quidditch.

"Umm.. well actually last year there was no quidditch because there was the tri-wizard tornamount, but I do know a old seeker slash quidditch captain, he has graduated though" Katie said, that of course was Oliver, he was fun to hang around with, but she only knows him on twitter, thats all "Okay, but it might be difficult when it coes to just first year classes and that" Katie said giggling, she didn't remember any classes like that but who knows..

Katie smiled at the girl who looked lonely, Katie waved and said "Hey, I'm Katelyn Star, call me Katie for short" Katie said interdoucing herself to teh girl, hehe. MORE FRIEND. XD

Katie looked at the girl who seemed to like Lafey, now that was scary She still could be her friend though, "Hey, I'm Katelyn Star" Katie said as she put out her hand to shake.

Meredith saw a girl around her age sit down. She wasnt talking to anybody so she thought she would introduce herself. "Hi! My name is Meredith Evans, whats yours?" Meredith asked the girl. "I saw you look a little lonely so i thought i would introduce myself!" Meredith said with a smile

"Oh, really?" Evangeline asked. "That's awesome." She said. "I've never tried surfing myself, but I like sports." She said. "That sounds pretty bad." Eva said. "you should carry on flying, though. It's great."

"Oh yeah, i forgot about that! Was it fun? Ahh, i was so jealous when i found out last year!" Meredith replied. It was true, when she found out that the tri-wizard tournament was at hogwarts last year she was so sad that it came a year before she was able to go. But she got over it. "Oh, well thats good then!" Meredith said. "Oh thats okay, i'll somehow manage, cause trust me, you do NOT want to be around me in the mornings! Haha"

"Surfing is awesome seriously, catching the perfect wave is absolutely exhilarating; if you're ever in LA; I'll teach you." Matt loved to teach other people how to surf even though it could get a little irritating at times. "I may because I've got someone teaching me how to play Keeper from the ground, it's not exactly as fun as it would be in the air."

Adam was already at the slytherin table. He excused himself from whoever he was talking to and made his way over to the lonely girl.
It must be hard making new friends and being so new to a different world, and in a place where everyone just about knew everyone- it was no wonder why the first years all seemed so timid to Adam...
"Hi...Are you alright? Wanna chat?"He asked the girl.

"If I ever do, I'll let you know. But I've hardly ever go to the beach, even." Evangeline said. "You make it sound fun, though." She said. "Well, yes, it's much more fun flying through the air. It's exhilarating."

"Mr. Anderson, I want the Quidditch cup this year." She said glaring at the boy.

Hecate looked over at the child.

Weird...

She briefly smiled and then remembered, "Very well, thank him for me." She said, "Say hello back."

"Hello Master Trevors, word of advice. Stop brown-nosing." She said.

"See you in class Miss Michaels" She said and left for the staff table.

WHY would Evelyn say she hoped Lafay had a pleasant evening? Marie hoped she had a dreadfully miserable one. Not commenting though she just gave Ev a look.

Glancing back over at Truebridge she seen that he did look a little busy with the other students. "Yeah, I guess you're right. We can always go visit him in his office later." That is once they found out which office was his. She then raised an eyebrow at her friend. "Right you didn't think that."

Marie frowned at Ev when she reminded her that it looked as if Truebs wasn't going to be their Head of House. "Yeah, I can see that thank you very much." Didn't matter to her though. In her heart he was and always would be her Head of House... no matter who was technically in that position.

What!? That DOG had been over to their table bothering Sierra! That was NOT acceptable. "No, I didn't know that." She said looking over at Sierra. They were going to have to teach her that there are certain creatures in this school that she shouldn't associate herself with. Rex the DOG being the first.

Looking over towards Sierra, Marie suddenly burst out laughing when the little snakette referred to Rex as a dog. Oh this was perfect. It seemed like it wasn't going to be that hard to get Sierra to stay away from that cretin. "Well my suggestion to you is to just ignore that mutt the next time he bothers you. Trust me, I learned the hard way, if you talk to him even once he'll just keep coming back." He's like that disgusting stench from the food fight in DADA last term, that stench that you can't make go away no matter how hard you try. "You'll soon learn what a creeper he is." Yeah she had seen how he was with all the young kids in the school. It was like he stalked them because no one else would talk to him. "Don't worry, if he bothers you anymore just let us know, we'll take care of him for you." Yeah, Marie would have no problem with breaking his nose again. She wasn't about to let him harass her little snakette friend here.

WHO was this mindless child (Lamar) sitting next to her? And WHY did he think it was alright for him to drink from HER goblet? "Yes, do you mind? Didn't anyone ever teach you any manners?" Marie said as she glared at the stupid child. "That is NOT her cup, that happens to be MINE!" she said as she grabbed the goblet from him... accidentally on purpose spilling its contents all over the front of the boys robes. "Furthermore, if you want any information on Professor Truebridge then I suggest you go ask him yourself."

Hearing his next comment Marie just rolled her eyes at him. Oh please, another snot who thinks his father can do something. Had the boy ever met HER family? Doubtful. If he even had a little bit of a clue who she was then he would NOT be bothering her right now. "That's big talk coming from such a little nobody. You and your father can only wish to ever be half as adequate as Professor Truebridge is." she hissed at the little cretin. "Now I suggest you leave and find somewhere else to sit before I get really mad." She said as her eyes narrowed dangerously with little sparks of anger flashing in them.

Go. Now. Shoo.

There may be professors and prefects around right now but she would catch this boy alone... with no one to protect him and she would make him pay for bothering her and her friends.

Georgiana saw someone was waving at her and she looked up to see a friendly girl, she smiled and said " Nice to meet you Katie, I'm Georgiana Smith how are you?" she told her trying to make some conversation.

After Georgiana sat down, she was talking with no one, but then she heard a girl talking to her with a big a smile. "Hi Meredith! I'm Georgiana Smith, nice to meet you, yeah I know I'm new here at Hogwarts so that's why the loneliness hehehe but thank you" she said pouring some pumpkin juice in her glass " So how are you? "

Salander's smile widened as he listened to Sierra, her elation for Slytherin house rather infectious. He raised his brows when she asked about the cookie "Actually no I didnt make it. My baking skills arent that good" he gave her a playful wink. Neither did he say that it was made by a nice girl from a different house. What mattered was that he was giving it out and rallying Slytherin pride. Yeah.

He turned his attention back to Evelyn and Marie when they started speaking about the mysterious man, glancing momentarily at Sierra when she started asking about him too. It was obvious that he was impressed-- and slightly intimidated-- when they began rattling off the guy's creds. Truebridge? The greatest professor ever? And he used to be the Slytherin Head of House? He found that last bit was particularly interesting, just as he saw Professor Lafay walk by their table.

....Who expects them to behave like proper Slytherins. Is that the cue to start pelting the other houses with food? Heck they're all coming in here and helping themselves anyway. "Will do Professor Lafay" he replied, raising his cup to toast but deftly hiding the mischievous smirk playing on his lips.

Then Evelyn started speaking "Important question? Go on shoot." he replied , looking at her rather curiously. Then he blinked again. Did he hear that right? She asked him if he was crazy? "Well......" he started slowly, wanting to indignantly deny it but "..... I am working on my certification for that. Why, you need something from a Certified Crazyologist?" he smirked at the Slytherin brunette before taking a sip from his glass.

Then he heard the Truebridge guy finally speak. Wait did he just say Ancient Runes? Salander's head spun quickly towards the Staff table, having never paid attention to it until now. New faces, a spinning chair..... but no Professor Di. Or Professor Carlton for that matter. He suddenly stopped breathing as his eyes grew large in alarm. Where are they? They're just late right? Right????? He suddenly had the urge of going up to the staff table, ridiculous since it was second nature to him to avoid being scrutinized by The Authority at all costs.

Speaking of authority, he lturned his head the other way to see the Slytherin leaders join their table, heck even the Ravenclaw Prefect was here. Some he knew by name, like Finn and Jimbo's friend Iris. The others looked familiar, dudes who shared some classes with him and the HeadGirl who he saw going berserk at Muggle Studies last term. Speaking of which, his eyes drifted back to the Staff table, where Professor Z was chatting away. Would he know where Professors Di and Carlton were? He shifted between staying amongst with the Badge Brigade and going up to the Deities at the Dias. Decisions decisions.....
