Joey sat down on the couch and start to read wwe magazine.She missed her mother and father dearly.She put her feet up on ther coffee table and turn on her ipod to love like winter by AFi.SHe started to sing sofly and clearly.

"Hello there Selena!" JP looked over to her and spoke.
"In the common room."

Selena quickly looked up and saw JP making her smile, she took off her earphones "oh hey there, JP. It's good seeing you again" Selena said while still smiling.

"How have you been? It has been way too long!"

"I've been doing alright, how about you dude?" she said as she tied her hair into a side braid.

"Can't complain. I am excited that all of my favorite classes finally started."

"that's great! Now you have something to look forward to everyday" Selena replied "soo...anything interesting going well besides your favorite classes starting?" she asked, as she still felt somewhat shy around people,and never really knew what to say.

"Well i have met a lot of people this term. Everyone for our first term seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth. It's interesting. I did however find ellie. She is one the qudditch team. I tried out but failed epically so gave up. Kinda sad but whatever."

"I know it's crazy! I haven't seen any familiar faces at all. But going back to your quidditch thing,well if you failed this year there's always another year. You'll eventually make it on the team, don't give up ravenclaw is gonna be even better with you." Selena said sincerely with a warn smile.

JP smiled at her comment. It made him feel good that someone believed in him
"Thanks selena. I really mean that. Seems as though everyone left. It's weird. How are your classes going? Looking forward to anything?"

Selena smiled "you're welcome" she said as she sighed "well it's not that I don't like school I just get distracted very easily in class so I'm mostly looking forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and try to be less shy...specially around guys" she said as she looked down and giggled.

JP smiled and his face got a little hot at her mention of this.
"Well i am sure i can help you with that seeing as i am a guy." JP laughed and gave her a little wink. "You aren't that shy anyway. it shouldnt be too hard to step out of your shell"

Selena giggled and looked away so JP wouldn't the pink color brewing up on her cheecks. "I suppose you right since you're a guy" she said with a giggle "but no seriously, i don't know why, but I've become very shy around people, well those who I don't know much" she said as her eyes wandered looking around the room.

"I suppose so...not sure what she sees potential for though, if she does," she replied, slightly sighing. "She is always telling me to act as if I'm someone I'm not. You should have seen the horrid outfit she shoved me in before, when she brought me to the Express."
Actually, no, it's probably a good thing you didn't see it," she corrected herself, cringing.
She smiled, though, as she watched him lift the quill, then began to laugh lightly. "That was a lot of fun, wasn't it?! I wasn't sure about it at first but it turned out to be great! Wouldn't it be hilarious if he called them out. They'd probably blush more in that one class than the rest of the year, no?"
I hope that having brothers will help me when I get older, so that I don't ever do something like flirt with one of my professors."

Jacob walked into the Ravenclaw common room, His butt a bit better. He had already sent the order a few days ago and was expecting the wand sometime today. Hopefully it was coming soon, Jacob couldn't go around with out his wand... he felt bare. It was like the few days he had with the transition from sword to wand.

Jacob took a seat on the armchair... in case the couch spontaneously combusted, it happens to Jacob sometimes.

He looked around at the window and tapped his foot, waiting for the delivery owl to arrive. Come on... he needs it, or he'll revert back to a sword.

Skye regarded Enya calmly, penetrating her with her eyes again. Just because she knew it would irritate her. "Is there really much of a difference?" she said. "As far as I'm concerned, I have no idea what your problem with me is, but I suppose it's not worth my time to know." Now it was Skye's turn to roll her eyes. "Enya, you can't treat people the way that you do," she said as calmly as possible. Skye was one of those people who just exuded calm. She hoped.

Before she could say ore, Enya had launched herself out of the chair and was all the way across the room. Yelling at the upset girl? Oh, no she didn't. Skye got up and followed her.

"Enya!" she chided. "Why would you do something like that? Do you not care for anyone's feelings besides your own? Is that it?"

Skye turned to the girl who had been crying. "I'm so sorry," she said to her, her voice full of sincerity. "Are you all right? Perhaps we'd better get you up to your dormitory." She said the last part with a glance at Enya. It was probably best to get her as far from Enya as possible now, before things got out of hand.

Louisa, standing next to the crying girl again, waved back at Skye with a big smile upon her face. "Looks like you've been having an awesome reunion." She said sarcastically before turning back to Enya who..

... jumped over to where Louisa and the girl were. Instinctively, the young girl took one step further, you know in case Enya had her wand with her ahem :whisper: Soon, the crying girl stood up and snapped at Enya. Louisa's eyes widened and her mouth fell open. Merlin! Those two girls were like two sticks of matches and, well, fire was so damn close.

She walked closer facing Enya with a disappointed look on her face. She was determined to show the 'mean' friend that she had a good side and although this fact lacked EVERY kinds of evidence, she believe in that.

Before Louisa could react, Skye spoke as wisely as ever. "Girls, there's nothing to argue about! Why don't we all just sit around the fireplace and have some quality time?" She said nervously trying to ignore the tensed atmosphere which failed EPIC for her voice shook and she sounded like talking to kids... like kindergarten ones.

Enya now had all three girls facing her, and worst yet they were taking the little girl's side. First she had been surprised to the younger girl standing up to her, no one did that they just let her be on her way. This girl was new and she knew she was going to hate her. She glared at the girl and folded her arms, she waited until she was finished speaking. Once she had Enya stepped forward until they were face to face, the little girl was going to regret standing up to her.

"I don't know who you think you are, but no one and i mean NO ONE tells me what to do. Get that" She said angerly towards the girl glaring daggers. But the girl carried on, how could she be so mean. She didn't even know her! Enya was going to teach her a lesson. "Now i know your new here so im going to give you a few pointers. NEVER speak to me like that again. You don't get to tell me what's what around here, im fully aware of that thank you.." She paused to take a breath, "And you my dears have the problem NOT me" She stopped and grinned. Ha that told the girl.

"Enya Mayberry, remember that" She added towards the girl with no other greeting. She then turned to Louisa ignoring the younger girl, time to sort her out. "How can you take her side!" She said angerly towards her friend, her best friend at that! "You've known me longer, she's just some new girl who has no friends!" She added glaring at the new girl again. She knew the girl hadn't spoken up about it all but seriously she had known HER longer not some stupid new student.

Lastly she turned to Skye, great another friend she needed to convince to hang with her instead of little miss perfect over there she thought as she opened her mouth. "And as for you Skye, MY problem with you is.." What was her problem? she asked herself before she continued, "You know what forget it i don't see the point in telling you. Find out for yourself" She said glaring a little, she didn't want to admit it but she didn't want to the girl to leave her anymore then she wanted Louisa to leave. They wer doing fine until SHE turned up. "Don't appoligize to HER Skye, she deserved it. Insulting me as she did, She's fine" She said not looking at the new girl, "As for if i care for anyone's feelings. Of course i do, what sort of question is that!" She exclaimed.

"She deserved what she got" She lastly added finally turning to glare at the girl.

Yawwwnn. Finlay was tired. That tryout had really taken all his energy away. He obviously was not as fit as he thought that he was, but hopefully that would change soon. He hadn't even bothered to go up to the dorms and change out of his flying stuff, he still had his protection pads on his arms. Now...he was just going to sit over here, in all of his prefect glory and sleep, because nobody would disturb him. Because he would've killed them otherwise. Well unless it was someone that he wanted to talk, then maybe he'd be able to make an exception. Maybe.
But for now... he had his eye closed, and was hoping to drop off to sleep.

Neptune Bott, hot off the Quidditch field herself, found JUST what she was looking for in the Common Room. Giggle. She went over and sat RIGHT on Finlay Carmichael, Quidditch-playing, Prefecting, boy pal. Bounce. Bounce.


"I think you did quite well, Finny." Bounce. "Mmmhmmm."

Ackk. Just as Finlay was going to drop off to sleep he felt something on his lap. Something that he had a feeling was not going to move for a while. And now that thing was talking. Ahh. "Neptunee" Finlay laughed as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her. There was one small problem though.

"Why on earth are you sitting on me?" Because well he figured he didn't smell to yummy. He had just been flying around on his broom for an hour.

But she thought that he'd done good. And that made him smile. "You really think that?"

Neptune sent Finlay a look. She sat on him because.... she wanted to. And because she could. And because she got hugs for it.

He did smell a little .... boyish. But Neptune was polite enough to overlook it on Finlay .... for now.


"I DO think so! I didn't know you played so well. Suppose I should have though." Neptune shrugged and wiggled around until she got comfortable on the cushions next to Mr. Carmichael. Riiiiiiiight next to him, practically still on him. "Let me help you with these." Neptune pulled his arm into her lap and delicately started on the little buckles around the wrists.

Louisa listened to Enya's angry voice and looked around to see if they were making a scene yet. Thankfully not. "Enya! You don't have to speak to her like that.." She started indicating the new girl, "..she was sitting there by herself and I interrupted her..er.. peaceful atmosphere." Dah! It was the stupidest thing to see but what could a twelve years old say in such situations?

And when Enya had a go at Louisa, the latter blinked. Twice. "I'm not taking sides Enya. We're not in a fight. Well, we weren't anyways.." She added the last sentence under her breath for this sure was a cat fight. Pfft. "And she doesn't deserve anything. She's just not feeling well. Enya, you're an artist you should be knowing what to do when others feel the pain!" Like in caring, common sense, and sensitivity those were artists' traits right?

The young girl shifted in her spot standing partly next to Enya and facing the crying girl and Skye. She didn't want her best friend to feel left out nor the others to feel back stabbed. UGH! How lovely would it be to just walk out of the room and ignore this stupid fight! Why couldn't she just stick to her sick kitten up in the dorm? oh yeah she needed some FRIENDS.. Heh. Serves her right.

Skye decided not to answer anyone directly at the moment. She disregarded questions and comments that had been flung directly at her and focused on a solution. "You know what, Louisa's right, and there really isn't any reason to fight, because it won't accomplish anything." She paused and looked at Enya. "As far as I can see, Enya, no one has done anything in the past few minutes that could possibly anger you. This girl was clearly having a hard night, Louisa was kind enough to try and make her feel better, and I doubt all of this conflict is helping her very much." She could already tell that what had just come out of her mouth wasn't going to affect Enya at all. Time for a different approach.

"Okay, look. I hate to be the buzzkill or whatever, but Enya, if you don't calm down and apologize to.." She looked at the upset girl. She still didn't know her name. Oops. "If you don't apologize to her, and if you continue to behave in such a rude manner, I'll have to go and find someone who can and will get you into trouble." She hated having to be this firm, but someone had to put their foot down. It might as well be her, the oldest of them all. Louisa had already tried, and it was an admirable effort, but it hadn't been enough. Maybe Enya would listen to Skye.

Skye glanced at Louisa, who had shifted to stand with Enya. Skye hoped that she wasn't thinking about siding with her. She was starting to count Louisa as a potential friend.

If there was one thing a month at Hogwarts hadn't taught the redhead yet, it was the ability to understand WHY for Merlin's sake people acted here the way they did. Shifting in her seat slightly, Chyler brushed her fringe back as she surveyed the common room silently, the book on her lap closing. As she had just finished reading it, the fifteen year old didn't mind too much.

Disapproval was plain on her face, but she swallowed any too judgmental feelings. They would only get in the way and meds weren't supposed to judge their patients even if they were obviously very well in their right to. There was that insane older girl that kept bouncing around, all these guys who just walked in and out talking only about Quidditch and nothing else, and then there were these little groups of girls who just wouldn't stop with the drama.

Drama - yet another foreign concept. Sure, Chyler had experienced her fair share at home but at least that held some sort of meaning. What would Sam say if she saw the goings on in the Ravenclaw dormitory? The edges of redhead's lips twitched as she pictured her and her brother, laughing and joking and just making fun of the world.

Not anymore. Belonged to the past. Shaking her head, she picked up the book and turned it over to read the back again. A silly habit of hers, but felt very gratifying and, most importantly, completely distracting.
