Somehow...Timothy knew he would be meeting up with the prefect many more times. That was just how things went. He was slightly a trouble maker, like his uncle Nath.

"No ma'am, I have been here five long years. But I return to Russia to live, during the breaks. I have family there you see." He smiled at the wink. She was very...nice

He grinned at both of them. And looked around awkwardly for a few seconds.

"So what do you think is in store for Hogwarts this year?"

He was being Rude? Finlay kind of stared at her for a few seconds. Finny was not rude. He was pretty, and nice to look at, definetly not rude. "Oooh." Finn smiled, letting her snuggle in to him. It was only friendly, and yeah. They were Fine. "You're making it sound like I'm some prince Tuney." Which wasa totally not something he minded. Prince Finlay. He liked that sound a lot.

All the right colors? Finn grinned, tickling her a little. "Well....I haven't got punched in a while." And he wasn't about to get that changed....not just yet.

What did this year have in store. "No more exams for me?" And that was good news to his ears.

Grimacing slightly as he waved off her apologies, Ivory stood there for just a split second debating whether to sit down or not. Deciding it'd be ridiculous to just rush off after everything, she sat down. If only to change this guy's view of herself. You know, as NOT an unmannered, mean elbowing individual. The joking approach yes that was probably the way to go.

"Oh but this way was much more effective." Grinning mischievously so he'd know she was joking she leaned back in the cushion appreciating the absence of stairs.

Except when he yelled. She gave a little jump at that. Who was he yelling to? Looking across the room, she gave the group of people a little wave. It seemed everyone was here. Jimmy, Neptune, Satine. Eying the banner which was her work no doubt, Ivory gave her a thumbs up that she hoped she saw. It was perfect for greeting new Ravenclaws. She'd have to go over and meet them all in a bit, especially the Ravenclaw male prefect but for now resting. Sitting right here in this couch.

Satine looked at the boy and tried to read him by just his facial expressions and body placement, "Hmmmmm...I don't think you hit me as a shy person at all." she said nodding her head up and down, "or even anti-social...to me an anti-social person is someone who just glare at me like I was a crazy girl with purple hair and tell me to bugger off..." she said making an ugly face and saying bugger off as rudely as she could which actually wasn't very rude since it was Satine.

She instantly went into some small giggles trying to be mean and make an ugly face and then focused back on his words. "O really! BEAUX!!!" she said smiling again, "With my travel abroad program, I was placed there for six weeks.....it's was my favorite school, of course after Hogwarts, but that I visited during the whole program." she said quickly and excitedly as she glanced around the room.

An achievement that didn't quite do what he'd hoped since his parents just decided he was 'misunderstood' and he didn't get the attention from them that he'd hoped even when he had been temporarily tutorless.

"Oh? Great." No really. Jimmy tried to sound casual about it, like he didn't actually find the idea interesting, but he DID. So.

"You must be pretty smart then." He added, raising one eyebrow. "And... I've lived in England my whole life, so, not really from anyplace exciting. Wiltshire if you wanted specifics."

Lies. He was from Wiltshire but it was actually rife with history and secretly Jimmy appreciated that.

"I don't think there is any here." Jim answered. "No muggle cars and all." He shifted in his seat a bit and eyed the kid as Eino started to... take notes? "I figure if you like reusing animal bits though, roadkill might be worth investigating."

... and promptly burst into laughter.

He caught Ivory's eye, noticing her badge too, and even though he recovered from his laughter, he still had an infectious sort of smile on his face and he directed it at her. Now that was impressive. She was younger than your average prefect and all, right?

The amusement faded and Jim pulled his wand in silence, catching Neptune's eye and even though it was sort of against his THING about not letting people see/know he could do stuff, Jimmy went right ahead and conjured a crown for the so called princess.

Except it was more of a tiara, which he levitated over to Finn.

"Here you go prefect Carmicheal. Just a little something... lying around." Hah. The badge thing was still funny. It was. He grinned at his friend and raised his eyebrows.

Ellie's mouth twitched into a smile, and her eyes drifted from James' face to some nonexistent point in midair. She was just picturing it all. And she liked what she saw.

"So Vindictus isn't off his rocker!" No, he was genius!

This was soooo exciting!

Neptune Bott was NOT amused at the laughing. Not the reason for the laughing, and certainly CERTAINLY not from the male person creating the ruckus.

She rolled her eyes before hers, too, settled on Mr. Wilkes.

Even if it was sort of perfect and beautiful and purple and flowery.

Sigh.

"Yours will be better. It's a fact, Prefects make better tiaras and crowns."

In her peripheral vision, Vashti noticed someone sit in a char somewhat near her. She glanced over to see if it was anyone she knew - it wasn't. She considered starting up a conversation, as she was finding herself to be currently unable to really get into the book she was reading (rereading, rather), and two years ago, she probably would have. Now, however, she couldn't think of any interesting way to initiate the conversation, so she started to turn back to her book...

...when suddenly there was a knock from...behind the book?

Raising and eyebrow, she lowered the book and was startled to find someone standing right there. Merlin, how had she not heard him come over? Or noticed him standing there? She must've been more engrossed in the book than she thought.

"Um...can I help you?" she asked.

Two familiar voices caught her attention next. Jacob and Ellie. Arguing again? Was this still about the Captain thing? Oh, for the love of Merlin.

She shook her head at both of them, not caring whether they even noticed it or not.

Vashti then noticed the older boy that was sitting there with Ellie and a girl with...purple hair? That was interesting and actually quite pretty. Vashti didn't recognize her, but she did sort of remember the guy from a Flying lesson last year, though his name escaped her right now.

She managed a smile in return but noticed his eyes shift from her down to...something. What? Did she have mud on her shoes? Was her shoelace untied? She glanced down as well to see if she could figure out what he was staring at.

Oh. Her book?

She held it up a little so he could see it better. "It's a Chronicles of Narnia book," she added, just in case he still couldn't read the print from that distance.

Dallin chuckled and shrugged one shoulder like her joke was true. He looked down, though, because he could feel himself blushing. It wasn't every day - yes, even for Dallin - that an older girl told him that he was good-looking. He was used to 'cute' from his sisters' friends, but... anyway.

"I feel very welcome now," he told her, recovering from his uncharacteristic embarrassment and smirking. "Are you, like..." he frowned, searching for the right word. "The welcoming person?" Yeah, that was so not the word he'd been looking for. "Or are you just really nice?" Or possibly both?

He laughed quietly at her agreement. Yeah, whining would do no good. Not that he wanted to whine, anyway. He was in a house with quite a few pretty girls, that he knew of. No, he definitely wouldn't complain. "But from what I've heard, Ravenclaws really like this house. Maybe after a while, we'll get as proud of it as they are."

Dallin's look of thoughtfulness became completely blank. Harry Potter? Dumbledore? Even Voldemort had worn that exact same hat to be placed into a house. "Weird." He finally said, making a face. Sure, it was cool that the man who had saved the world had worn that hat, but think of the other millions of students that had, too. And did the hat ever take a shower?

When she mentioned the teachers and questions, Dal looked down at the floor. "A girl told me they gave you a test for sorting. A challenge." He shuffled one foot a couple times before looking back up at Aimée. "I didn't believe her." He added quickly.

I made her blush! ...Again! The triumphant thought brought another smirk to form on his lips. It slipped up into a real smile, though, when she spoke. She'd said pretty much the same thing he'd been thinking. Only she'd worded it a bit different and added 'each other' in it... ahem. "I'm sure I can live with that," he said non-chalantly. "It's you I'm worried about, since you're stuck with me." Heh. It was true, he could be a bit tough to be around sometimes. He knew that.

Satine studied his face trying to figure out what his emotions were behind those see through blue eyes, her face went blank with a little smirk of a smile as she continued "Well, I guess it's Great..." she said carefully...

hmmmm...not too sure what's going on in this one's head...

"I don't know about smart, just kind of willing to do that kind of crazy stuff."...and I needed a break from Hogwarts for a little while to figure out everything and clear my mind and make myself...well me......

hmmm..."O Wiltshire...I'm familiar with that area." she said quickly following his gaze towards the Prefect and the happenings over there...with a little giggle she tried focusing back on their conversation as she sent a crown flying through the air towards the prefect. She winked at him and then said through her giggles, "Good one...It'll look great on that head...It's almost as shiny as the badge..."...wow I wish I was a quick thinker like that... she said still smiling from the instance...

Hmph. HMPH. Stupid entrance thingy-ma-jig.

Spike's lips were pursed together in frustration as he stepped into the Common Room. If he wasn't sure he belonged in this house before, he knew it now. How was he meant to know the answer to that riddle thingy? He'd been standing outside a good ten minutes trying to figure the thing out. If he had to do that everyday to get in... His head hurt to think about it.

He pouted and looked round the room. "Well this is it, Matilda," he said softly, his eyes wide at the variety of people there. "Our new home. If we can ever get into it again, of course."

Now what?

Satine giggled as Dal looked down...she had never had that affect on any boy...maybe my time at Beuxs taught me something..

She smiled even more when he looked back up and she could see his eyes, "Well great!!! Glad to know it's working for someone! And I am very happy to be the one to welcome you!" she said tilting her head to the right side slightly as she twisted her long purple necklace around her right pointer finger near her neck....welcoming person or just nice? hmmm....good question....

"Well, I guess for you, I'm a little bit of both." she said with a little wink...what are you doing? are you flirting....o my Satine......she thought as her cheeks got a lite shade of pink on them. She blinked quickly focusing on not letting her purple irises change colors...Focus focus focus.... She glanced over to a nearby trophy and noticed that her eyes hadn't changed but they did have a little bit of a pinky-purple shade.

Instantly she started in on another subject trying to get everything under control...this is not like me......., "So...ummm...have you met some great peeps over the last few hours?" she asked slowly meeting his eyes again genuinely interested in his answer...

Jacob stared at the girl curiously... she sat down? why... he only made room to be polite, he didn't expect her to actually take the seat. Why would anyone wanna sit with Jacob, these people were so weird.

Jacob nodded in agreement, yes it was effective. Jacob looked around the room, he decided to just ignore what Ellie and the other kid were talking about. and the common room was getting noisier... but still nothing out of the ordinary... it was weird that nothing weird was happening, but suddenly

Sparks flew from his wand that sat in his back pocket, and his pants caught, "FIRE!" he screamed and swore loudly as his butt and were he was sitting were now on. he jumped off the couch and started running around patting his butt trying to put it out.

He hit the wall, and fell back, and the butt fire was out when he hit the ground, but the couch was still on fire... Someone Put It Out!

Satine glanced up with all of the commotion and flicked her wrist and her wand shot out into her hand...just as she was fixin to help the Captain she turned and saw the couch she had just been sitting on on fire.

She flicked her wand and said, "Aguamenti!" instantly a stream of water sprayed out of her wand and she moved her hand back and forth trying to put the fire out.

She turned in the room...."Well, don't just stand there...help out everyone!" she said to anyone in listening distance.

Robert sat on a sofa near the staircase. He started reading his History of Magic book. (which he dislikes).
He sat alone and eating some cookies. Maybe he can meet with one of the first year students or another Ravenclaw students.

"I'm sure I'm not the only one that liked it," Dal assured her with a smile. It got a bit bigger when he saw her necklace. More purple? You'd think you'd get sick of one color after a while... he thought, looking around the room at all the blue. Hm. Maybe the purple would be a nice change to all the blueness, actually.

One eyebrow shot up at Satine's words. A smirk threatened to spread across Dal's face when he saw her blushing, but he worked to keep it off. He didn't know what her problem was, but for some reason he liked it when girls blushed around him. Don't ask him why, because he couldn't tell you. "Well, awesome." He said with a grin.

He blinked, surprised at her sudden change of subject, but didn't question it. "In the last few hours?" He repeated, chewing on his bottom lip. "Well, I met a few cool girls at the feast, but I haven't met anyone new in Ravenclaw yet."

His eyes went wide as someone screamed that there was a fire. His head automatically turned toward where the scream came from, and he saw a boy running around with his butt on fire. It was pretty funny, if Dallin was being honest.

When he saw the fire on the couch, though, he yelled something along the lines of "MERLIN'SBEARDTHEREISAFIRESOMEONEPUTITOUTPUTITOUTPUTITOUT!" Because at that point, he had forgotten all about his wand. There was a fire on the couch, though, so it was understandable if you asked him.
