Caroline narrowed her eyes at him ready for a comeback she opened her mouth. She dropped her folk again at the next thing he said. What? Leaving Hogswarts after this term? Not another friend leaving. "But.....But why?" Caroline may actucally cry.

Septimus wasn't exactly sure he liked this girl yet but he wasn't sure he disliked her. Muggleborn, huh? At least she was honest, that was good. He hated lying, even to strangers. But he had told his fake background story so many times it seemed almost like the truth to him. It was only a matter of time before someone found him out...A music lover, that was good. "Sports?" he said. "Well...I'm a really good pitcher in baseball. But when it comes to Quidditch I'm really bad. Mostly because I'm scared of heights. You?"

No way! "Nika, Nika! I'm Muggleborn too!" Elyon smiled happily, she was always finding it interesting to learn about the heritage of her peers; especially when they were similar to her own. She felt it made them easier to relate to. A lot of people would've thought she should've lied and pretended to be pureblood, or normal, or something. But Elyon never lied. She felt icky when she did, and she was brought up knowing it was wrong.

"I'm really bad at sports, except for iceskating, swimming, and surfing. I live near the coast, so I've always loved water stuff!" She giggled and fliped a long, sandy braid behind her back, leaving the other one hanging down her front alone. "I'm more of a musical kind of girl myself." 'Twas true, Elyon played piano, guitar, ukelele, lyre, and sang. She experimented with the flute when she was in grade school, but she never really favoured it like the others.
"What about you, Septimus?" He was being rather quiet, she wanted to hear his input too!

" I do look good, don't I?" Rex asked Fee in a " I know I am good looking " style of speech. Rex just laughed after his remark." Yes, the rocker does come out in me with glitter " Rex said to Fee." Rene is back and I am hoping we are still ok" Rex explained to Fee.

Adam was actually taken aback by her soft response. He'd expected some sassy comeback from her, but Caroline's easy, sad response was different.

"Why do you mean why?
My parents have forced it upon me."He told her simply.

It was nice to say he felt a little better, a little bit of relief in knowing that Merlin would have a good home. And that Lexi would have Merlin. Somehow, it made the prospect of leaving a little easier. Just a tad, but not enough to banish the reforming tears just yet.

"I want to stay." If he had the choice he would stay; apprentice under one of the Professors or work on the grounds. But at the same time he needed to leave. "I'll visit. I promise."

"Sabel, you can't visit me here, silly. And Merlin knows this is, unfortunately, where I spend most of my time all year. We will have to owl one another. Perhaps see eachother in DA... but that will be it for the next two years," she said morosely as she turned her head away from him and sniffled a bit.

She couldn't look at him for a moment. She knew that Arya would not allow him to be as close to her as he had been once they were all out of school and they could be a proper couple, she and him. SIGHS.

It was really starting to sound like a final farewell.

He didn't like the reality of her words, and had to shift his weight a little with how uncomfortable they made him. "I'll owl a lot then."

It was an understatement to say that it was a huge disappointment they weren't graduating together. "I'll...be staying in London at least." It was far away, but not halfway around the world.

Lexi simply nodded her head. She felt like she was losing him anyway. And it hurt her to her core. Owls would stop eventually... they always did.

"Well that will be good for you and her. I might be spending more time at home. WHo knows, I might just run off... get away," she said miserably as she began to pick at the sleeve of her robes.

Why had the conversation turned so terrible? He frowned at the forgotten food. It had been his less than enthusiastic thoughts that had started it. "Don't run away. I'll miss you too much." Not that he wasn't going to anyways.

Lexi gave a little shrug as she picked up a dinner roll and began to tear it to pieces and pop it into her mouth. "Who knows... maybe I would come around to visit you." He'd probably be the ONLY one that missed her. There were enough mean girls that would throw a party at the news Lexi Denver had run away.

"I'd like that." He glanced at her from under his eyebrows, watching her with an edge of hope. "Run-away or not, I'd love it if you visited." Because simply dropping out of contact with Lexi, with never seeing her again, was a painful proposal he wanted to have nothing to do with.

Caroline was still in stock. Who else would she find to think of sassy comebacks for. She sat there and stared at him for a moment. "Oh" She said. She really didn't know what else to say. "Eww Parents suck! But Mexico that's so far away."

"Caroline..."Adam addressed her slightly astounded. Could she read minds or something? "I never said anything about Mexico...Who said I was gonna go to Mexico..."He said in shock, but keeping his voice calm.

"Oh, Yeah! So It's you that's going to Mexico then, right? I heard that someone was going their I didn't realize it was you though.....that's all, and went you said you were leaving I figured that you were the one going to Mexico." Gee did he think that she could read minds or something. That would make life so much easier.

First of all Adam couldn't believe she was lying. Many of his friends tried their best to keep quiet about this, unless he wanted the school to hear it.Barely any of them spoke about it after he had revealed it to him, and he knew for a matter of fact none of them would tell others without his permission.

Two , he believe she was making it all up, but he let it slide.

"Yep...That's me you heard of."

"I will visit, no matter what, Sabel. You are like family to me now. You get me," she said as she abandoned the bread roll and propped her chin in her hands looking miserable.

"I just...I just hate it that things have to change so much. Ya know. Arya doesn't REALLY like me... I just get that vibe. I am afraid that she will one day make you choose... and I know what that choice would be. And THAT would kill me," she admitted for the first time ever. Averting her eyes and actually turning her body a bit away from his she slumped her shoulders and tried to hold back tears.

Nika smiled at Septimus and nodded her head. "Baseball. I've never played baseball before. I don't really have such great hand eye coordination." Or any coordination really. "That's why I love football. It's all about foot work." Nika chuckled a little bit as he mentioned Quidditch. "Don't worry about that very much. You would laugh if you saw me on a broom. I've only ridden on a broom twice actually and it didn't end up very good..." And she wasn't even playing Quidditch! Flying was enough of a challenge alone.

Nika then turned to Elyon and gave a squeal of joy. "Really!?! You too! YAY! It's hard sometimes being a muggleborn. I feel so out of it because everyone knows about things that I don't. So it's nice to have someone else!" Nika's face was lit with joy. She felt stupid in some classes not knowing things that a true wizard would. Nika felt a little out of it when others implied that being muggleborn wasn't good. All wizards, all the same. "You like music too!?! It's my escape. Play any instruments or do you sing? I also like to write my own songs! It helps me relax and get away from the hassle of life. Does that make any sense?" Nika wondered out loud.

Lexi's words nearly choked the life out of him, and he sat there, blinking dumbly at her. The tears that had once been suppressed were right back at the surface, blurring his vision something fierce. He could barely speak at all as agony twisted his gut. "Don't ... don't say that. It's not going to happen." He didn't want to talk about it. Period. He wouldn't let it happen. Ever.

She busied herself with the sleeve of her robes, picking at... nothing. Tears dropped down to end of her nose since she had her head tilted down. "You don't know that. It could. One day," she said morosely.

She just FELT like one of these days she was going to tell him to toss Lexi aside OR ELSE. And he, loving Arya, would do it so as not to lose her. It would kill Lexi a little more inside, but she would live, she supposed. SIGHS.

This time he shook his head rather furiously, anger boiling up somewhere inside. "I do." His eyes went to Lexi, intensely bright with the conflict of emotion within, but dead, furiously honest. "Arya is not a bad person Lexi, and neither are you. You both know how much each of you mean to me, and I have a good deal of faith neither of you would ask me to pick." He wouldn't pick. He just wouldn't.

Lexi, back still to him, tears still rolling simply pressed her lips together tightly to keep from saying anything that would start a fight between them. "I never said she was a bad person. And I would never ask you to pick between us. I would lose that battle anyway, so why risk it?" she muttered.

"Look. I think... I need..." she trailed off. She didn't know what she needed other than for her friend not to leave her.

He was getting mad. Unbelievably mad and he knew Lexi didn't deserve his anger. So he fought to contain it. "Stop thinking so lowly of yourself." It didn't help much; his words still came out with the raw emotion that was compelling his tears. "Do you not trust me when I tell you that you mean the world to me?" Did she really think he had gone through all of this just to say goodbye.

"I can't help it. I just... whatever it doesn't matter. I don't want you angry with me, so let's drop it all. The thing is... you're leaving. I am going to miss you so much it freaking kills me a little bit inside, okay. I feel like I haven't always been the best friend I could have been for you. Hell, I know I haven't always been the best friend for you," she said as she wiped at the snot and tears again.

"I trust you with my life. YOu know that. I trust you with every inch of my being, Sabel Dakest," she said in a bit of a heated tone. How DARE he ask such a dumb question? Boys. Pffft.

Reaching over, he cupped her cheeks in his hands, turning her eyes up to his. The intensity was still there, but his hold was gentle. "Then trust me when I say I am not abandoning you. That I will never abandon you Alexandra Kennedy. If you need me, you just have to send for me and I will come." It was his promise to her. It had always been his promise to her.
