The edge of the lake looks... different. There are things heaped here. Davina, wand tucked behind her ear, turns round the moment she has arrived, to see if the class is following.
"Sit down, sit down," she says. "Your cushions are charmed so that they won't get dirty, though I don't expect you're going to need them for long. Take off your shoes, if you want to. I hope no one - girl or boy - is wearing heels? That can make things difficult."
Destiny might have laughed a little as she watched Evelyn drag the..not so blankety looking thing over to her. The thing was UGLY, and she had no idea why her friend picked that particular one. Most likely it had something to do with Slytherin, but it was U.G.L.Y! Hopefully they wouldn't have to look at it while they were in it.
"I suppose so. I mean, you already dragged it over." But it would have been funny to tell Evelyn it was not good, and have her drag it back to the other side.
Staring at the thing, and having no idea what to do next, Destiny shrugged before walking off to go get some poles. Ten would be enough, right? And if she had too many, she would just use the extras to clobber Hufflepuffs bears. Bears were always around when people were camping. Coming back, with the poles piled in her arms, she dropped down to her knees and placed the poles on the ground next to her. "I think we just stick them in the dirt. Like this." she said, picking a pole up, and shoving it in the dirt.
So far, so good.

Crossing her arms as she waited for Destiny to come back with the poles, the Slytherin took the chance too look around at what everyone else was doing. There were some, pretty elaborate looking tents around. The one Patroclus was making....WOAH! She so wanted to make a tent that looked like. SOOOOOO wanted to.
Once Destiny came back with the poles however, she knew that theirs were going to be smaller. Oh well, it would still be awesome. "That's what i said to do in the first place..." she muttered quietly, picking up a pole and sticking it randomly in the ground.
....
It didn't go in. PFFFT! "Stupid ground."Shove! Jab! CRACK! Oops. Stick in the way. GET INTO THE GROUND! Dangit!
Patroclus could see two of his favourite Snake ladies were having trouble, and being the gentlemen he was, he offered to help.
"I can see you are struggling, and what type of Man would I be if I didn't offer to help" he grinned, with his hands on his hips, "You have two options, give up and come stay in my tent, I will even let you turn it green, on one half." he knew Evelyn and Destiny would struggle to sleep in a flame red tent, "Or I can help you two build your own!"
The boy was more than happy to build another tent, he loved being outdoors!
Brittany turned to Mike. "Mikey me and em need some help decorating the inside of our tent. We dont know what to do.' she said sighing
Brittany turned to mike and almost jumped him. He was her life saver. "Ah Mikey your the best.' She said grinning at him

pulling out 4 memory foam pillows and and igloo cooler any body got a light I cant find the gram crackers in this thing shaking the bag you can hear what sounds to be pots and pans clattering around
Gosh this was hard. The outside of the tent was perfect but she was stumped on decorating the inside. "stupid muggle wolrd taught me nothing." she mumble to her self " she wondered if they could run up wo the castle and get some supplies... Nahh that would never happen it was to easy. Ahhh but she had read about a spell that you could call things and they would come. But seeing how she had never practiced it and she was only a first year she didnt know if it would work or not.
Witsy was working by herself but setting up a tent by herself with limited knowledge was impossible. She gave up and looked around to see how far everyone else had gotten. She spotted a girl muttering something but could sense she was frustrated. She made her way over to her. "Want any help? I see you've gotten the tent up nicely, are you having any other troubles?"

Woooot!
Tent building was EASY! If Destiny would have known how easy it was, she would have built one at her house. Of course, she would have to sit in it at all times, just so those stupid sheep would eat it. Pfffft. They eat everything.
Once her first pole was stuck in the ground, she stood up and gave the pole a nice kick, to make sure it was in deep enough. Seeing as it didn't even budge, she dropped to her knees again and picked up another pole, not before looking to see how Evelyn was doing. And she was not doing so well. "Evelyn you are sticking a pole in the ground. Not slaying vampires." She whispered that last part and moved in closer to her friend. She didn't know if there were any vampires around.
"If you move that stick, the pole would go in easier." Duh.
Picking up another pole, so that she held two, she raised both hands and drove both poles down into the ground at the same time, "Look! I'm multi-talented!" Suuuure you are.

Josephina nodded when Davina seemed to agree with spending time in the outdoors. Well that was a plus one for the new Runes Professor. Though she was still unsure as to what Runes had to do with camping, which was part of her curiosity and will to remain outside to figure it out.
"Shoe-rack... hmm," she murmured glancing in that direction. It wasn't that she was dishonest, but it was the others that she didn't entirely trust. Safe there? Doubtful. Glancing back at Davina, she shook her head. "I think I'll just banish them to my office. I can walk back to the castle barefoot." And hope not cutting up her soles of her feet on sticks and twigs.
With a flick of her wand, the shoes were sent off toward her office. She then turned back toward her colleague. "Thank you, Davina. Please though, call me Jo or Fina."

Climbing out of the tent, he looks at the lopsided tent, tilting his head. Turning to Jacob, with his head sideways. "It really doesn't look that bad, if you tilt your head like this." Looking around he wonders what they're gonna use to decorate it. Taking out his wand he remembers the DADA spell, "Pingo Blue!" he says sending bubbles to one side and does it to the other. very nice he thought grinning at Jacob.
About to call for the professor to see their work, he gasps as the whole back of the tent falls over. "Erm...I guess that's the floor of the tent now...yeah that's right, it's supposed to have only one pole!"
"Professor, I think we're ready!" he says calling out with a grin on his face.
Arya considered Sabel for a moment, legs swinging idly. "If you do let me fall," She started, shifting her weight on the branch. "I'll get hurt." And cry. There would be lots of tears. Not to mention them attempting to get her to the hospital wing.

He was about to get all playfully dramatic, pout and say how she had insulted and hurt his feelings, but no sooner did he open his mouth than she was hoping out of the tree. Verbal warnings were generally nice, but he supposed the look sufficed well enough.
Shifting forward the slightest bit, he did as he promised and caught the Hufflepuff in his arms. Not as easy as they made it look in the movies, but at least he managed to remain on his two feet. Shaking his head a little to get her hair out of his face, he grinned at her, his arms securely about her. "Now then that such a danger is surpassed, shall we get moseying to set up camp?"

Oh, and another genius comment. "It's already broken. How is it still in the way?!" It was broken into like, five pieces! Scattered around! However, just to amuse Destiny, she kicked the pieces away before...

Jumping out of trees. Fun. She was grinning when he caught her, not surprised that he was able to catch her without falling. Cause she was short, but growing. "Your messing up my hair," She teased, running her fingers through her hair to get it out of his and her face. "Yes, lets start painting." Maybe they would get as messy as in defense class.

"Wait!" Jacob grabbed a pole and put it in the door way to hold the flaps open. "There! It holds the flaps open and can be used for limbo" he said with a smile. "How Low can you go? How low Can you Go?" he sang as he tried to limbo. He hit his head against the pole. "Ouch! not very low!" he rubbed his head in thought... and pain. "We'll at least we know its sturdy"

Shifting his weight, he set Arya down gently, keeping a hand on her back to make sure she had her balance. Once he was sure of that, he proceeded back to the tarp and paint, handing her a brush and bucket and taking a pair for himself. Then it was off to painting the Hufflepuff badger flag. Of course, not without swiping a small bit of paint on Arya in good fun.

Too busy shoving poles into the ground, Destiny didn't realize Patroclus was standing there offering to help. Pffft. They didn't need any help NOW! They had their blanket thing and their poles, and half the poles were already sticking out from the ground. She just had to do a kick check to make sure they were down deep enough. She was sure they were, though. Looking up at the Gryffindor, she gave an apologetic smile as Evelyn told him they weren't going to share a tent with him, and they didn't need help.
"Yeah, we'll visit later. Like, if a bear comes. 'Cause there are bears in these neck of the woods, ya' heard?" Yeah, she heard that saying on the muggle box.
Standing up, she brushed the dirt off her knees before standing back and admiring their AWESOME skills. "I think we have enough poles in the ground now. We should just lay this blanket thing on top, right? In case of rain."
Or something. She really had no idea.

Alex sighed finally stepping into her tent. She glanced around before deciding on something ncie and simple. She wanted a table with enough room to write something on or eat.. maybe a candle for light.. Alex nodded at the thought before getting into work. Were they supposed to put a place to rest or sleep down to, the Professor never mentioned it Alex realised after she was done.

And with a last smile to Patroclus, Evelyn picked up another pole and tried to shove it into the ground.
This time though, since there was no sticks in the way, it totally worked. Though it was wobbly some. Sighing, she banged it a few more times in the ground until it was about three fourths of her height. THERE! And it will stay there. Totally.
Placing the poles in a way where the blanket plastic thing would actually stay onto the poles, and make the thing look like a tent though, was still not crossing her mind. What did cross her mind, was how many poles Destiny had put in the ground already. Eesh! Picking up another one, Evelyn tried her luck and put all her strength into this one...
It seemed that it was fine once the pole was in the ground. And poking it, it didn't seem like it would fall over. WOOT! "We just...place it on top? Just like that?" They didn't have to do anything to it? That was cool then she supposed. Less work. Besides, her arms were tired. "Do you think, we should have moved somewhere away from the lake water?"

It was a hastily done badger, with a bit more paint going between Arya and him than he had expected, but it was a done badger. Sitting back on his heels to examine the work, he realized he didn't have much skills in drawing animals. "Well...I think this side shall face the forest where no one can see it."
Shaking his head in laughter, he pushed himself to his feet and set his painting equipment aside, and took a moment to peer over Arya's shoulder at her handiwork. "Wow. Very nicely done."

Oh.
Good question. Destiny actually had no idea how they were supposed to put the blankey thing up. She supposed they were just going to place it over the poles..and..sit on the ground. But, with a quick glance around at everyone elses tents, she realised they weren't supposed to sit on the ground. "Umm." Taking a few steps closer to the blanket thing, she bent over it, for a better examination. "Well, there are this things that look like they fit on the poles. Maybe we just connect the things?" Like a puzzle. Only a hard, UGLY puzzle.
Grabbing hold of the blanket thing, she started pulling it even closer to the poles. Merlin it was heavy! Hopefully when they pitch it, it wouldn't collapse on them. There would be no escape then! "I think we'll be fine where we are. We aren't that close to the water." she said, glancing behind herself.
Actually..they were very close to the water. "It'll be easier to get a drink?" Heh..

He tuned her out and got his own half of the frame put together with very little fuss, then put it gently on the ground while he unrolled the canvas.
Jimmy glanced up and gave her a grin. "I knew you could do it." Not just a pretty face.
He took charge putting the two halves of the frame together and then levitated the canvas on it.
"Grab the pins, Neptune? Please?" He gestured behind her where the pins were spread out. "You can hold them in place and I'll knock em in."
Neptune was a pretty good retriever, and really, no sense in fussing too much at the bossing from Jimmy. Sooner the tent was up, the sooner they could get in it and PLAY.
And stuff.
She got out a pin and held it out, figured out which was up and down, then put it in place. "Please do be mindful of my fingers, Mr. Wilkes."
