Cosette popped in a marshmallow and chewed on it slowly. She could let them answer a few things about Jera. Right now, she wanted to eat something. After finally finishing the mushy treat, she licked the tips of her fingers and raised her non-sticky hand up. "That is the rune Jera and is normally represented of 'J' or 'Y'," she swallowed a little bit of more marshmallow. She guessed she hadn't eaten it all. "Represents peace, happiness, prosperity, the life cycle, and a fruitful harvest when it is inverted. In reverse it means reversals, sudden change, poverty, and bad timing."

Smiling and wiping her hand on her skirt, she looked over and gave Finn a wink. Maybe after they could do some homework together.

"Jera, It represents the 12 months of the year, some people call it Gaar, Jara, Jer, Jeran, Yer, but I call it Jera as you said, It has characteristics such as Good spirits and more, Its color is light blue and the stone is Carnelian, I think" Katie siad trying to remember what her book said. she took a marshmellow and poped it in er mouth, yummy!

Rubiey put up her hand. She knew this one. "Jera represents the completion of a cycle, a season, or a year." Yep, that was right. She thought, popping a marshmellow in her mouth. YUM.

Lucy was all very excited to be there any help them out with their tent as she had already finished her own. "I'll help with the paint" she said and took some red paint bucket and began painting and then looked at her friends to ask what other color would look good for the tent "Is red ok, or should i use some other color too?" she asked them.

"Hey Fee" Freya smiled widely and waved to her friend. "How's your tent goes?" she asked



Freya grabbed the poles from Iris and began to put it in order. "Yayyyy..!!" she smiled widely when their tent was finally finished. She grabbed a brush before she grabbed some paint she turned around to Iris "Hmm..what color we're going to paint the tent?" she asked



Freya raised her hand "It's Jera. It's represent 12 months of the year and a good harvest, Professor." she said

Cass stared at the other students in awe. She was now oh so confused. She didn't know anything....She was confused!

Chloe knew this stuff but she was far too slow it seemed. 10 students had there hands up before the answers even popped into her head. She sighed. She knows that will have to try a lot harder if she was gonna succeed here at Hogwarts.

Protection or space spell that can be worked up with Runes? Arya wasn't sure, she didn't attend many lessons the last two terms, and when she did, she didn't pay much attention to the professors. "I hope all night to, we worked so hard putting up our tents and tarps over them." A grin spread across her face. "I find it strange too, especially for this class. But I'm not going to complain about camping."

Arya's eyes lit up, and she nodded her head a few times at the idea of painting rocks. "Yes! Lets do it, I think rocks are best since were going to be painting." She paused. "We can still paint the pine cones our house colors and hang them from the tent opening." When he agreed to the with a grin, she went and picked out stones by lake's edge while Sabel went and picked out a few good pine cones. Arya may have gotten a little distracted by school of small fish swimming along the bank, but she was soon back at the Griffindor's side with her stones. Grabbing a few paint brushes and some paint, the pair began to paint badgers and lions on the stones, and yellow and read pine cones. It didn't take them long to finish painting and when they did, they started hanging the pine cones and placing the stones by their respective tents.

Looking up from her painted stones, she let her eyes dance over to the professor when she spoke. The grin on her face grew when she saw the camp fire. She spun her head back towards Sabel. "S'mores!" Skipping over to the fire, she plopped down on the ground close to the lake, and started to stick marshmallows on a stick. Arya heard the professor say something about them refreshing there memory of runes. Well.....she didn't know much about them, so she would just roast marshmallows until she could answer one of the questions.

Witsy felt better knowing she wasn't the only one. Witsy smiled back at the two girls and thought of suggestions that could possibly work. "Hmm... well I did learn this one spell, granted, I was never aloud to use magic but what if we used the Accio spell and just call things?" Witsy was kind of interested in this idea. She suddenly thought of a couch flying by and giggled a bit.

''Oh i'm first year. It's hard for me now. Cause i'm new. But i already made some friends so it's good now. What year are you in? I'm really excited that i met you.'' she smiled and got started to work.

Cass looked around the place. This was getting annoying, she didn't know what to answer, she didn't know what to do. It was FRUSTRATING. So, to calm herself down, she took some marshmallows and a stick and started to prepare her smores.

"I think thats a jera rune", Fee said,"it represends a year or a good harvest. Jera stands for a time of peace and happines.

Fee smoled at Jacqueline.
"I am first year,too", she smiled,"but i met so many people already.Its amazing."
"Where are you from?"

Cass noticed Fee talking to a girl that she didn't know, so she walked up to them and said "Hey Fee, mind if I join you guys? Its terribly lonely over there..."

When the professor got their attention once more, Simon followed her instructions and came to sit down around the charmed circle. At the mention of the game, he had to admit it sounded fun, especially when you added representing your house to it. He knew the Raido from mentioning it earlier in class but he was beaten to it by another student, doing his best to think of the others. Guessing without names made it harder but interesting.

"The rune Jera also represents the cycliing of the universe, and the fact that everything changes in its own time," he answered trying to think of something different about it from his classmates.

Arabella-Marie just sat listening to what her classmates were saying as she didnt know much about ancient runes but she would definetly need to look at her book after this class was finished

Cass noticed someone who looked as confused as her. So she walked over to her and introduced herself "Hey, I'm Cass. What's your name?"

Fee saw Cass coming over.
"Sure you can,hun", she smiled at her friend.
"Want a cookie?"
Fee laughed.

Cass eyed the cookie for a second before laughing "Since when have you started giving out cookies, love?"

Amy raised her hand "Jera represents the 12 months in a year" Amy popped a marshmallow into her mouth this was her favorite class so far, she knew most of the runes and was learning lots about them

Dianna thought of her answer a dozen of times before raising her hand.
"That is Ge- no Jera. It can also mean fertility and fruition." she said as she lowered her hand.

Lucy was knowing the answer for this one she quickly raised her hand and said "Professor, it's Jera, meaning harvest it also means the agricultural year and fertility and fruition. This is a good time for the farmers" she said and was happy to answer.

Arabella-Marie smiled at Cass and said "My name is Arabella-Marie, Cass"

Rowan raised her hand. "That is the rune Jera," she said shyly. She couldn't believe she actually knew one.

Once done with their rock and pine-cone collection, there was the question of what to do next; of course that was very quickly answered by both the Professors invitation to the fire and Arya's exclamation of 'S'mores'. Shaking his head with a light chuckle, Sabel followed her over and plopped down beside her. He listened with interest to the recap of the Runes, not particularly being able to focus on them at the moment with the prospect of camping.

When there was a pause in teaching, he slipped his sweater off and prodded Arya gently, offering it to her. "If you get cold." Which, despite being by a fire could happen. "Or you can use it as a cushion." Either worked and he set it down beside them so that she could have easy acess to it if she wished. Then it was S'more business and bringing his mind back to focus on the topic at hand; Ancient Runes, not camping.
