Skye walked into the common room. The first thing she did was look for Carin and Enya. She couldn't find either of them, which was good. All she needed was a repeat of the starting Feast disaster.

She took a seat by the fire. It felt good to just sit and no nothing peacefully, after such a loooong day.

Celeste walked into the common room and sat down by the fire. She introduced herself to the girl beside her who she's learned was named Skye. She had seen her before but had never formally met her. "Hey, I'm Celeste." she said with a smile.

Liz plopped in a soft chair and sighed. She felt alone. Which was so not cool.
She pulled out a book and tried to read, but it was hard. Instead she ended up looking around the room at the fire, the stars, and the people. She noticed who looked happy, and who looked sad.

She also noticed that everybody seemed to be talking to somebody else.

Speaking of Monsieur Daniel, there he was. He would have to ask the young boy later more about that saying thing that was on the statue. Smiling back, he waved slightly before turning his attention back to his company.

Besides study? So she must have studied a lot. More then he expected! Perhaps they will study together more often then? Or, perhaps just be in the company of the other more often; apart from the fact that they both were staying in the Ravenclaw tower of course.

Now he was learning something about the Durmstrang school. Their lighting was no good? How were they able to see then? It was a miracle that their eyesight was still good. Of course, he would never mention such things to Sandra. It was just thoughts, oui? "Beauxbatons..." he repeated, trying to think of a way to describe the school without sounding as if he was boasting, but still proud. "Well, it iz, more like a palace? It iz, very light...and smaller zen zis school of course, zough I zink ze beauty of ze school far makes up for zat."

Smiling at his general description, already missing his school, Noel sighed ran a hand through his hair before looking back to Sandra. "I must ask zough, what is Durmstrang like?"

"Thanks!" Louisa answered Vashti, "I'm really happy to get sorted in Ravenclaw! I totally love it... so far." Louisa smiled at the girl who seemed to be so welcoming and friendly.

"What year are you in Vashti? Oh and nice name!" She indicated at the end. She's never heard such name, it was like Russian or something. Louisa glanced towards her cat's basket to check if the cat has woke up yet, but nah it was too much to ask from a stubborn lazy cat. Goan.

Pam looked up at the stars at the ceiling one more time. She thought they were the most awsome thing ever. She looked back over to were she saw a girl sitting. She looked kind of familiar. Oh!

"LIZ!" She ran over and gave her a hug. "Liz hi!! Isn't this place amazing?"

Carin looked up, noticing Louisa standing nearby. She offered a small smile back, not really sure of Louisa's intentions. She had been way too friendly and understanding of Enya during the fight, and Carin wasn't sure whether this meant that Louisa would be against her, or if she just had that kind of friendly and nice personality which made her try to understand everyone.

"Hi," she replied, clutching Astor a bit tighter and causing him to mew angrily before she started stroking him again.

"Hi!" Carin grinned at the sight of another familiar face. An Vashti hadn't been sitting with them at the Feast, so perhaps she didn't know anything about the fight and Carin could just pretend like it had never happened. Or something.

"Yup. Vashti, yeah? How are you?" she asked.

Glancing around as Vashti and Louisa talked, Carin noticed Skye sit down nearby, obviously not having noticed her. Getting up, Carin decided to get this over with - Skye was probably the only truly innocent and helpless party involved in the fight, and she deserved an apology.

"Hey, Skye," Carin called out, trying to get the girl's attention. "Look, I'm sorry about what happened at the feast. I'm glad you're not in trouble, but we probably shouldn't have put you in such a weird position in the middle of the fight, and I'm sorry."

Carin smiled a little before starting to turn away. She wouldn't blame Skye if the older girl didn't want anything to do with her after this, but she hoped that perhaps her apology would reap some results. That was why people apologised, after all, to make things better, right?

Skye looked up as someone say down next to her. "Er - hi," she said. It was going to take awhile to get used to everyone here being so friendly. No one ever talked to her at her old school. "I'm Skye, fourth year."
"Just a second," Skye said to Celeste. She turned to see Carin sitting a little ways away, looking at her. And talking. Skye didn't really want to talk to anyone involved in that fight at dinner, but she had to be polite. Ish. She pursed her lips a little and regarded Carin in silence for a few moments before answering.

"You're right, you shouldn't have put me into that position," she said a little stiffly. "But...I'm going to be the bigger person in this case and accept your apology." She wasn't a complete pushover. She needed the younger girls to realize exactly what they had done wrong, and to feel bad about it. It was good for them, and it made it more likely that there wouldn't be a repeat.

Vashti's grin grew even more, glad that Louisa was liking Ravenclaw. Which of course she would because Ravenclaw was just that awesome. But she always liked to hear that others loved the house just like she did.

"Thanks! I'm a third year," she answered. It was kinda weird to think of herself as a third year already. She really couldn't believe it. It seemed like only yesterday she was an ickle little firstie experiencing Hogwarts and magic for the first time. Time just flew by.

Yay, Carin remembered her! "Mm-hm," Vashti answered with a nod. "I'm doing okay." Better than she was at the feast anyway. No Quidditch and negative ten points... Oh, stop thinking about it! "What about you?"

"Pam!" Liz realized that she wasn't alone; she was isolating herself, "It's beautiful! I can't believe I'm actually here! I haven't left this room yet, though. Wanna go explore?"

"hello i'm august granger".I'am a first year.so hows like being a third year she said with a smile.i've been wanted to go since i was 11 she laugh.

Sandra had thoughts about how his school looked, but none of them involved his school being a palace. And she thought this castle was over the top. It would explain why he said Hogwarts could do with more lighting. She didn't know why a school would need so much lighting unless they were studying. Noel seemed smart though, so maybe they had more places to study than this school had. "Your school sounds nice." Her eyes where on his hair as his hand moved through it. He had good hair, could give Nik a run for his galleons.

Her turn to discribe her school. She pondered how to explain the castle without giving away too much information. "Durmstrang is a castle as vell, smaller than Hogvarts. Are grounds are very extensive, though I haven't been around Hogvarts grounds so I cannot say how it compares." She mused. Maybe she would take a trip around them tomorrow with Danika. "It is a beautful castle." She smiled softly, almost wishing she was back at the castle, but glad she was here with Noel.

Oh. These views were rather interesting. Finn was leant against one of the windows, as he looked out. He'd decided that when he had a house, he was defintly having it in the country side where there would be beautiful views, and so he'd build a tower, and be able to look at those views. It would be pretty epic, because his opinions were pretty cool. He smiled as he looked around the views. He was pettty glad that he was a ravenclaw, because he liked these views a lot. hehe.

Arlie flitted down the stairs into the common room from the dormitories and glanced around as she walked across the room to leave. Then she spotted someone she recognized. The second year quickly changed her route and walked over to the windows.

"What're you looking at?" Arlie asked rather loudly, standing on her tiptoes to try to see around the boy. She couldn't imagine that there could be anything all that interesting outside. Unless perhaps he was watching someone. That had the potential to be entertaining. But a landscape? Pah, boring.

Finn found himself jumping a little as he heard a voice, and the 5th year turned around to see who it was. He smiled as he saw it was Arlie, and he was tempted to ruffle her hair. He took a sideways step, so that She could see out of the window too. He had a feeling that she probably would find it that interesting. But Finn was deep, and didn't just go and snog girls all the while.

"The view?" He asked, motioning out of the window. He decided though, to come up with a better answer. "I've never seen views like this before." Because well he was pretty cool, and liked views.

Arlie grinned when he moved over so she could see, and peered out the window. The view? He was impressed with the view? Arlie had seen this exact same view plenty of times last year. She squinted her eyes and tilted her head, trying to decide if the view got better when it was made abstract. Hmm. Maybe a little. It looked cooler, at least.

"I think it's the same view as last year," she said. "Unless the view changes every year, which en't likely." She took a step back from the window and eyed the boy. "So you're a Ravenclaw?"

And then another girl was coming up and introducing herself. Aww, what a friendly little firstie! "Nice to meet you, August," Vashti said with a smile. "I'm Vashti. And I dunno. Term's only just begun so I dunno what my third year's gonna be like." Hopefully better than the first night indicated. "Since you were eleven?" she repeated. "Aren't you eleven now? You said you were a first year..."

"no i'm 13 years old",i was late getting my powers but i was born with them but i didnt get the letter intill i was 13 years old.oh its ok being a first year is quite fun you know.

Louisa glanced down at the cat which meowed loudly suddenly and wondered was it because of her or Carin pushed it too hard? Shrug, anyways.
"How have you been?" She asked awkwardly not knowing how to refer to the fur thing. Did it even hurt when she was back to no-fur form? Louisa felt ashamed remembering this and blushed a bit.

"Your cat's... active one." She remarked trying not to envy her, for her cat laid there sleeping since they got to Hogwarts. Heh. Kitty hated her no doubt but why... that was her question. Maybe she could ask Carin for tips.



"Third year sounds cool. You're not young and not old either. It's kind of in the middle." She said rather bitterly. Being a firstie has caused her many awkward situations so far and she hated it.

So, Vashti and Carin knew each other. Hmmm. Nice.

Was Vashti as 'aggressive' as Carin when it came to her own benefit? Louisa couldn't judge either of them accurately and kept herself at ease. Comeon! She's just started school and she's discovering people! Take it easy girl! She told herself that in a few seconds.

"It must be cool to be back to Hogwarts for you then." She told Vashti trying to start a friendly conversation that could evaporate her doubts.

A thirteen-year-old first year? That...didn't make much sense to Vashti, but...well, she supposed it wasn't really her business to decide. If the girl hadn't gotten her letter until this year, whatever the reason, that was that. "Oh. Well, yeah, first year is pretty fun," she agreed.

Vashti giggled a little at first before noticing the way Louisa said it, and her smile faltered. "Is...there something wrong with that?" she asked, both curious and concerned. Did she not like third years? Had Vashti said or done something wrong? She didn't think she had, but maybe... She did sometimes speak without thinking.

And then Louisa was kind of changing the subject - though not really - and she didn't seem as upset as a second ago. Um? "Yeah, it is," she answered with a nod. "Though this year seems like it'll be a lot different than before." And hopefully it would turn out to be a good different. The end of her summer and the feast seemed to suggest otherwise, but Vashti was going to remain optimistic.

Luna walked through the Common Room. It was full of First Years. Luna saw a nice looking girl who looked a bit old to be in First Year. "Hi I'm Luna," Luna smiled.

Delilah walked in the common room and sat in a chair. She was really happy to be back at Hogwarts.
