Not only did she lose her boyfriend, she had also lost her best friend. Things were definitely going to be differnet at school this term.
Ooooo, Marie could tell that Evan was NOT being truthful with her about how he was feeling. She however was not going to just let it go like he did. Nope, she was going to keep the conversation off her and on him. "Come on Evan, I know you better than that." Well she liked to think she did. "I know you are not fine. If you were you would be telling me I told you so about Carter. I know that is something you've been wanting to say for a LONG time." Okay, so much for keeping Carter out of the conversation.
WAIT!
Did he just say he wasn't going to see Mina until next summer? No, she had to have heard him wrong. She knew for a fact that Mina was planning on seeing him at Christmas time. "Umm I thought you would see Mina at Christmas. She told me that's when she was hoping to see you next. Don't you want to see her then?" She knew Mina would be heartbroken if Evan didn't want to see her at Christmas time.

Wizarding society didn't have rollercoasters, and it was a good job Jack didn't know about them, otherwise he'd never leave which ever theme park they were at. And so, because Jack wished it was spinny, he moved his body from side to side a little, so he could atleast pretend. "Yeah. But people tend to come up to me and introduce themselves, it's not like I really have to try." Which was odd, because the fact that he thought he was gorgeous wasn't always the reason why they came up to him. Huh.

Maybe she would listen to him next time about Carter. "I so told you from the beginning. You see, I'm a man and I believe I can judge males better than you." He nodded confidently, totally overlooking the fact that at that time he was jealous, and would see any guy unsuitable for her.
His face fell again at the name of Mina, though what Marie said lit it up immediately. "Of course I want to see her!" he exclaimed. What did Marie truthfully think of him? That he tortured girls by avoiding them after a year or something?! "Like I said, we didn't talk the details." Even though he didn't plan to go back home on Christmas, he would happily do it if it meant seeing Mina again.

She turned her head and pulled her bag towards her, leaning in on her leg. Fumbling with the strap she opened it, dragging her notebook out. Letting that drop on her lap she dug her hand back into the bag, feeling around until it curled around a pencil she always kept in there.

Flipping it open she peeked around - wonder what she was going to draw first. Ginny looked back at the girl but then she walked back. If she didn't want to join her that was her choice. Ginny couldn't force her. She didn't even know what her name was. The only word she got out of her was 'No'. She had know idea what she as thinking about.
Ginny could see that she wanted to draw. She must of liked that if she was just ignoring her. This was going to be the last time that Ginny was going to ask her otherwise she wouldn't talk to her. She went up to her. "Are you sure you don't want to join me?", she asked. Quote:

She definitely didn't hate him for being an oddball though she might not go easy on him the next time they meet. They're meeting again, isn't it?

Aww, he was sorry? Really? " It's okay----Joshua." That's his name, right? " I overreacted a bit. I love doing it." She was the ultimate queen of melodrama.
He was being a good boy, calling her princess and all. She could grant him a pardon. " Well okay, I guess you're the master of...." She started to giggle a bit. It sounded so funny and hard to believe too. " ...everything but you'll have to prove it to me at some point." Resting her head on the compartment wall, she closed her eyes, hearing the boys discuss their...summer! Ahh, summers - her favorite season of all.
" It's good to meet you too, Master Joshua." She laughed as he bowed to her. How cute of him. " What year do you happen to be in? My guess would be..." She narrowed her eyes, biting her lower lips as she tried to guess his year, " ...first but I'll have to look closely" Well, he behaved like a firstie no doubt. Standing up from her seat, she threw herself next to him and pinched his right cheek, her lips pursed the whole time. Pressing her finger on the tip of his nose, Chelle ruffled the boy's hair, knocked on his head then quietly rose and declared, " Yep, still a firstie." Aww, this reminded her how much she wanted to be a doc though not anymore.

"You're so lucky your siblings are professional Quidditch players! I practice a lot with my father and brother when I'm at home." Jade continued.
