"Most people with any sort of common sense," Sadie retorted with a slightly weirded out look. Although she really didn't possess much common sense obviously so why was she even talking? Still the turtle on head situation didn't exactly amuse her in any way. She hated snakes, insects, or anything with more than four legs, including turtles, lizards, and crocodiles. And it all boiled down to her dislike of them from a near death experience.

Seeing the kid go all freaked out on the subject on birds honestly made her giggle a little bit. It may be mean but why would anyone be scared of stupid birds? Actually she found seagulls quite smart, but the infuriated her so she decided not to think about them. "What are you terrified of birds or something?" she teased in a light hearted sort of manner.

"Errr...I believe I'll pass thanks," she replied to his offer of the candy. Is that all that boys cared about? How old was this kid anyway? 15? 16? He was somewhere around her age. "I'm Sadie," she added, brushing back a strand of her messy curly blonde hair.

As Nicolette explored the train, she quickly found herself in the middle of it. She could hear students laughing and conversing inside the compartments, but didn't feel comfortable interrupting them. Nicolette knew things were going to be very different this year. It was time for her to come out of her shell, and stop being so shy. She was certainly not going to spend her second year like her first - hiding behind books and not making the effort.

As she waltzed down the aisle, Nicolette came across an empty compartment. Hoping eventually someone would join her, she made herself comfortable inside. 'Things will most certainly be different this year. I can feel it already.'

Lexi bounced over to the seat opposite him and plopped down but continued to bounce a little. "How was your holiday?" she asked happily and then sighed a little but kept her smile. "Look I really just wanted to tell you... that you were totally right about me last term. I was a selfish little brat and I apologize for any grief I caused you. I really truly am. I hope that you can forgive me, Sabel. There was really no excuse for my behavior," she said and reached across and patted him on the leg apologetically and then sat back crossing her legs daintily and smiled BRIGHTLY at her friend person.

Lexi grinned back at Arya and said, "Glad to hear that! ANd remember to keep that little secret between us, please." She gave Arya a little wink and giggled happily. "I really do apologize for interrupting you two, I just spotted Sabel and HAD to apologize," she said and bowed her head apologetically. She seemed to be humbling herself a lot in this compartment. Good for her. She would give herself a pat on the back later.

A small smile tried to work it's way onto his lips, faltering to a weak nod. "Yeah...maybe." More explanation would probably be needed, or not, but for now, there was another matter which needed his already limited attention.


He had to blink a few times to make sure he wasn't a) sleeping, b) imagining things, or c) hearing her wrong. The faint smile that had found place on his expression widened a fraction more when the repeat button in his minds eye finally confirmed it was indeed Lexi talking. And smiling. "There is no need to forgive anything...we all grow from what we go through. I'm just glad to see you well." He wasn't even going to ask about the bugs.

Hmm. Arya supposed that everything that Lexi was saying was the reason why she wasn't sure if she and Sabel were friends again, but all seemed well now. She shook her head when the older girl reminded her about the secret. The girl had no plans to tell the secret to anyone, maybe if Lexi had be Destiny, then she could have totally used the secret to her advantage. But since she liked Lexi she would keep it to herself.

"You don't have to apologize to me." She wasn't sure about Sabel since she didn't know what went down between the two. Leaning back in her seat, she watched the two silently, allowing Lexi to finish saying what she needed to say to Sabel.

Lexi smiled so widely she was in danger of being STUCK that way for life. Before she could stop herself she was out of seat and pulling Sabel into a hug. "I thought a lot about the things you said to me. Honest. And my new family has been so wonderful to me... Everything is just perfect, Sabel. I don't think I would have been so apt to change if it hadn't been for you... So thank you so much!"" she said and finally released him from her death grip of a hug.

Lexi then sat back in her seat and smiled at Arya. She really was a sweet girl. "Thank you, Arya. You are aces in my book," she told her with a giggle. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must get back to Jakers before he gets worried that my brother has locked me up in his trunk for safe keeping or something!" Lexi said with a chuckle. She giggled again as she HOPPED up out of her seat and bounce!walked to the compartment door.

Turning back with a huge smile she said to them both, "I hope your train ride to school is great and I will see you both around the castle." With that she opened the door and gave them a little wiggle of her fingers and she was goooooone. Teehee.

In the general chaos that always took place in the train corridors, it was all Grayson could do to concentrate on getting her trunk safely down the corridor. All the more reason she wanted to find a compartment, but between her snack and the faint noises coming from Draco, she wasn't really paying much attention to the things going on around her. Besides, she hadn't really recognized most of the people in this section, so she was starting to think maybe she'd need to drag her trunk further. But the sound of someone yelling made her stop, dropping her trunk on the ground for a second to rest her arm. It really was kind of stupid trying to drag it all by herself, as it was at least two thirds her size.

And as she suddenly felt something furry brushing up against the tops of her Converse, she glanced down. The appearance of someone's cat wasn't that strange to her, as she knew a lot of the people on the train most likely had one. It really did seem to be the popular pet choice among Hogwarts students. But she did reach her now-free hand up to gently rest on the ferret behind her neck, as she felt him shivering a little. He was the one who was not exactly comfortable around cats. Out of the corner of her eye, then, she saw almost manic flailing and slowly turned her head to see Demarcus at the same time he started whispering like he was keeping a secret from someone. Glancing down at the cat again, she sighed before carefully returning her attention to the unfortunate owner, also known as pretty much her best friend. "Okay," she said quietly, before raising an eyebrow. "You never call me that, yknow," she pointed out, in no way ignoring the known danger of the feline in question. At least known between her and Demarcus, as per the babbling incident from the alumni ball last term. There was no way she'd startle that cat. Not when it put herself at risk. Maybe others, if they were annoying (like Legend), but sadly the Gryffindor wasn't around.

He wasn't quite prepared for the lack of air Lexi let enter his lungs, but he managed enough sense to hug her back, though perhaps not as strongly. She was better, and it warmed his heart a little to receive such news on his first day back. The smile remained as he watched her part and leave the compartment, his eyes remaining on the door for a long moment before he settled back against the seat. Perhaps, things were taking a turn for the better. He felt his eyes drifting closed again despite the bustle and scraping of the two cats on the floor.

Cosette had been meandering through the corridors of the train, her luggage thankfully put away somewhere. She honestly didn't want to be lugging around a large trunk. Holding a leather bound book to her chest, she looked through the few compartments as she walked. No go, they were all filled.

Biting her lip in frustration, she was able to make it to a compartment that was completely void of humans. Thank the goddess. Smiling to herself, she slid open the compartment door and closed it behind her. Taking in a sweet deep breath, she plopped herself on the cushioned bench seat, thankful to sit down.

Alone at last, and not one care in the world. Laying her long legs out on the bench, moving her back up against the wall with the window outside, she thumbed open her book and began to read.

Arya scooted towards the window to give the two Griffindors space when Lexi came over and gave Sabel a hug. It honestly didn't surprise her that Sabel had helped the girl out with whatever had been wrong with her, Sabel was good with helping people out. She giggled along with the girl, glad to know that the girl liked her. Though it would have surprised her if Lexi didn't like her. "See ya round the castle, Lexi." Waving, she watched the girl leave their compartment.

Eyes lingering on the door for a moment, she let them wonder to the two cats before turning to Sabel who was....falling asleep. Aww poo! Sabel was usually good for staying awake and talking to her. Slowly she inched her way back to the boy's side. "Don't fall asleep, Sabers." She said softly, lifting up his nearest arm and draping it over her shoulder as she leaned against him. Keeping his hand in hers, she began to carefully examine it. "I wanna talk to youu...." Arya had missed talking to him, the fact that they would have all term to talk meant nothing to her; she wanted to talk now.

Jade was feeling nervous and awkward. This was all new to her and she had no friends. She kept wandering the train for almost a quarter of an hour searching for somewhere to sit. Everyone kept looking at her which made Jade feel worse than ever! She was lost in thought, when all of a sudden she bumped into someone and fell. Looking up, amazingly, she saw a girl stretching out her hand to help her!

"Ooo", said Ginny. Someone had bumped into her. She looked like a new first year girl. Ginny had her hand out to help her get up. "Are you alright?", she asked kindly. She was hoping that she didn't hurt the girl at all.

Scarlett looked up to see who was opening the compartment door.it was Bradin.she smiled her dad had told her his sister could stay until she had to go home.
"hey Bradin!sure have a seat." she moved Rose do that he could take a seat.
"everythings ok for Nikki to come see me." she giggled not giving to much away.


Scarlett looked up to see how was shouting her name but she already knew.it was her bestie Fee!!!!
"Fee!" she got up and hugged her bestie tightly.
"how are you?" she smiled warmly at her.

"Yeah I'm fine. Thanks by the way. I was searching for somewhere to sit but everywhere seems full", Jade said worriedly. "I'm Jade Emily Black by the way. But everyone calls me just Jade," giving the girl a friendly hand to shake.

"You can come and sit with me. I'm nto sitting with anyone", she said to her. "It's nice to meet you Jade. I'm Ginevra Francesca Weasley but I go by Ginny", she repiled to Jade as she sat down in a compartment.

"Thanks! That's very kind of you", she said. "Pleased to meet you Ginny", Jade said following Ginny inside a compartment. "Are you a first year too?" Jade asked as she sat down.

"I know yellow is a...well a bit much.but I wouldn't want any other colour." she laughed thinking of being a pink badger!how funny.
"I know,I only know you and Sapphie as first year Huffie's.I haven't met anyone else which is weird.but I'm happy I found you,that means we can go to breakfast and stuff together." she said excitedly.Scarlett was starting to feel queezy she was far to excited about sharing a room with loads of new people.

"oh!!I would LOVE that Em!that would be so awesome!I love animals." she squeeled."If you like you could stay at mine.it might be a bit boring compared to your farm though." she sighed.Scarlett noticed her friends upset ang got up and gave her a hug.she knew how she felt.this was a large step for them lucky they had eachother Scarlett thought.
"don't worry Em we can send loads of letters." she said into Em's hair as she was hugging her.Scarlett sat back down. "uhm,I've only read a couple of Muggle books and they have been like the classics like Pride and Prejudice and Scence and....you know the ones.and I really enjoyed them.I think I'll by more Muggle books." she said thinking fondly of going in and reading new books.she would need to get Muggle money first.

"Cool, i dont know what it is but i met so many Hufflepuffs and they are all great", Fee smiled. "Thank you i would love to join you."
Emmaleigh seems really nice. Sure she was, she was friends with Scar.
"Oh we met at one of my first days at Diagon Alley. And now she is my bestie", Fee smiled widely," what about you?"


"Brittttttttt", Fee smiled as she saw her friends. Seems everyhting is going good. No more lonely Fee. Good.

"Oh god. Finally. I thought i would spent the whole ride alone", Fee said.
This will finally get good.
" I am fine what about you?"

Arabella-Marie nodded and said "Yeah this is going to be my first year at Hogwarts and well i have just been told about the lessons how all the professors are lovely but to avoid the potions professor and just general things like that Athena"

"It's a pleasure", she smiled at Jade. Ginny was happy that she had met someone new. "No, I'm not. I'm a third year, Gryffindor", she repiled to her. "I guess your a a first year then?", she asked Jade.

"Yes, I am," Jade said half-heartedly. "I don't know anyone though. I hope I won't be in Slytherin!" Jade said with a hint of fear in her voice. "I bet I'll be in Hufflepuff though!" she said as her face lit up.

Ginny smiled at Jade. "I've made a few friends in Slytherin. My old boyfriend was also in Slytherin", she repiled to her. "I always thought I'd be a Hufflepuff or Gryffindor", she told Jade.

"Hopefully Slytherin won't be as bad as I imagine and who knows maybe I will make some new friends from Slytherin!" Jade said sounding more cheerful. "My mum was a Hufflepuff and I'm a lot like her! If I'm in Gryffindor we will be in the same common room and that would be awesome!" she told Ginny.

"It isn't that bad, I think. I think all houses are pretty cool", she said to Jade happily. "Usually family goes on into the same house. It would be cool, but if it isn't that won't be the best but we can still see each other in the Great Hall a lot for dinner and everything", she told Jade.

"Maybe you're right" Jade replied. "If I'm in Hufflepuff I hope I make some friends because I'm pretty shy around new people." Jade said blushing. "Do you have any family members currently attending Hogwarts?" Jade asked
