A great number of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves fill the library, creating rows and aisles of books available for students to read and check out. When returning books to the higher shelves, just hold up the tome and the shelves will take care of the rest; there's a spell on the shelves which summons the returned book to the correct place. Of course, when retrieving a book, they don't 'know' what you're looking for, so those who aren't yet accomplished in the use of the Summoning Charm may use one of the sliding ladders that move around from bookcase to bookcase.
In front of each set of shelves is a small desk. Students can sit at these desks to complete homework or copy down notes and book references. Be aware that other students may need to access books above you… so mind your head.
You can find any book here that's appropriate for all school years, so browse to your heart's content.

Lookit, man! She was smiling at him! She was smiling oh so sweet at him. Or was she actually smiling to the books? Either ways, that was magnificent to see her smile so jovial and affectionate. It beguiled him, truly.
Him? Don't like Ancient Runes? Nay. "Err, no, it's not like that. I like Runes. I just like other subjects more. Why not try picture the new Care of Magical Creatures professor and the groundskeeper together. Then ask me who will be the first cool person I go to. Of course, I'll first go to the new CoMC professor because I simply adore her, and then my next stop would be the groundskeeper because it's well, you know, kind of mandatory--requisite since he's our head of house and I'm a prefect. But yeah, they're both awesome. No kidding," Cedric chuckled after practically rambling on.
He didn't talk to people too much. He did, however, to the people he was comfortable with. And apparently, he was getting comfortable with Danika now.
He then watched Danika put down some books. And he just noticed that it was the Transfiguration and DADA ones. Hmm. "Hmm, what are you insinuating something there?" he asked, chuckled, and continued, " I thought you were going to study those books." But if she changed her mind, then fine. Just fine. "Oh, yeah. I did. Did you?"
