A great number of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves fill the library, creating rows and aisles of books available for students to read and check out. When returning books to the higher shelves, just hold up the tome and the shelves will take care of the rest; there's a spell on the shelves which summons the returned book to the correct place. Of course, when retrieving a book, they don't 'know' what you're looking for, so those who aren't yet accomplished in the use of the Summoning Charm may use one of the sliding ladders that move around from bookcase to bookcase.
In front of each set of shelves is a small desk. Students can sit at these desks to complete homework or copy down notes and book references. Be aware that other students may need to access books above you… so mind your head.
You can find any book here that's appropriate for all school years, so browse to your heart's content.

Books. Oh, that. Well, they were in the library; they were supposed to be surrounded by books. He liked books but he liked her more. "Hmm, so those two are about Transfiguration and DADA. Great, I must have probably read them. But Runes? Not really," He grinned at her, and deliberately reclined at a shelve. He'd help her if she needed help and apparently she did as her gaze seemed fix at the books.

Anna leaned back against a shelf and waited. Hugo would be here soon. she looked around and put her hair up. She was determined to find out what the symbol meant. She said. she realized it was a library and she should be quiet and it registered to her that the librarian wouldn't like but but frankly she didn't care. She smiled devilishly with this thought.

Sigh. It was so LOUD in here. Eliza prefered the type of Library that was quiet, so she could concentrate properly on her books. She reached up as high as she could, trying to get a book a higher shelf. Curse being a short little firstie! Trying again, her fingers grasped the spine and she pulled, taking the book down.Yay! She'd done it!
Taking the book, she headed for a small table where she could read in peace. Sittiing down, she opened her book to the first page. Advanced Divination; Crystal Balls and Palmistry. Divination had always interested her, and the book looked interesting. Hehe.

It wasn't a very hard question, though, what was he supposed to consider?
Still, it was rather funny to watch him think. "Yes, that is implied in the title" clearly, she knew that, and he couldn't remember if he'd read them, "Must have, vut are not sure" she replied to his response, with a nod, and she eyed the Ancient Runes book as he answered, "Oh, Cedric, you do not like Ancient Runes?" she asked, her eyes held a little bit of disappointment.
However, she decided to give up the Transfiguration book and the Defense Against the Dark Arts one as well. She took the Ancient Runes in her arms and hugged it as her dark gray eyes scanned Cedric's face.
Then she remembered, "Did you decide to enter your name in the Govlet yet? It is already placed in the Entrace" she felt the need to explain, in case the Hufflepuff hadn't notice it in there.
