Alexandrie idly tapped her wand against her leg She knew she should focus on transfiguration but all she could think of was fire. She sighed trying to clear her head her wand doing the wrong movement but not noticing and then, "Incendio!" Alex repeated the spell in her head in shock yelping as the fire start. She had just freaking set herself on fire! She bit her tongue trying not to panic really she was.. "Ow!" she yelped finally trying to beat out the fire she started..on herself.. She didn't know the water spell after all. "Professor I accidentally set myself on fire!" she shouted beating the fire still with her hands Alexandrie didn't even know she knew how to do Incendio..let alone use it.
Ellie shook her head at the girl who broke her concentration. She set herself on fire? Really? No wonder she thought it was okay for Lafay to set kids on fire, she set herself on fire! She probably did this all the time when she was bored. Silly girl. Why didn't she just put the fire out herself? Really? If you're going to set yourself on fire, you should at least know how to put it out...
Selena's eyes went wide. Oh gosh, the girl was on fire!! Literally! Selena looekd over at her. "Are you all right?" Selena said worriedly as she pulled out her wand. What was the spell again? What was it? She knew she read up on it somewhere. Aha! "Aguamenti!" Selena said as she pointed her wand at the girl. It should work right? Yes! A jet of water came out. hehe... the professor couldn't take off points for helping someone right?
Alex nodded shocked, seriously accidentally setting herself on fire that gives a new meaning to blonde moment. Her leg hurt and she was now soaked..but hey..at least she was alive.."Thank You er.." Alex tried to remember the face oh yes! "Selena it was kind of you." She frowned at her stupidity hitting herself on the head. "Professor..er may I go to the Hospital Wing?" pointing to her burned leg with one hand holding the other up..speaking of her hands they were slightly burned to..

Terribly vague, to be sure, Preston thought, though as good an answer as he could manage without a lecture.
Good, good the professor was planning on taste-testing it then. Hehehehe that would be interesting. He sat the transfigured cupcake on top of the box of cupcakes and set them both off to the side to listen to the professor.
"Ah I see, I gotcah sir." He nodded and then took one of the little Master locks out of the box. So now they were trying a new spell? Cool.
Hor-eh-los, hor-eh-los, hor-eh-los, the boy chanted in his head. Okay. He totally had this. Fletcher closed his eyes for a moment and focused on the mental image of a nifty gold pocket watch he'd nicked from some old fogie on the Muggle underground last year. He remembered it well because it had made a great birthday gift for his father, heheh.
HOROLUS! Fletcher opened his eyes and moved his wand in three tight, clockwise circles followed with a flick at the lock. There was a little poof of smoke and then the golden watch materialized in its place.
"Awesome, it worked!" The boy beamed proudly and picked up the watch, holding it toward his ear to hear it ticking. Hmm, didn't seem to be working yet though....

Preston was checking on the work of others students, noting the various levels of success, when he heard the cry.
Spinning, he saw one with robes alight, and another extinguishing those flames. "Stay calm. And the rest of you, keep at work." He gestured to the rest of the class, while heading to take care of Miss Malfoy-Lupin.
"Thank you, Miss Zabini-Riddle. You can return to your work."
Crouching near the now singed and wet girl, Professor Kingsley's features were stern. "And how, exactly, did you set yourself on fire.?" He looked her over; yes. A trip to the healer was certainly in order.
"You may see the healer. But my question first, please."

Selena winced. Ouch. There were burns on her. "Um... it's no problem..." Selena blushed, "Are you alright, Malfoy-Lupin?" Selena said. She forgot the girl's first name. "I'm sorry... I don't really remember your first name..." Selena said sheepishly.

Destiny had no problem moving that ugly brooch off her desk. When Kingsley said to put the items ways, she threw it in her back and hoped more of the gems fell out..those blue one were horrible to look at.
Horolos.
The pronunciation was easy enough, but the wand movement.. Lifting her wand, Destiny practiced the wand movement as she waited for the box of locks to be passed to her. When the box came, she took one out, placed it on her desk and passed the box along.
Lowering her wand, she stared at the lock, trying to picture a watch in her hand. Well, her father had a snazzy looking pocket watch and the numbers were HUGE! She didn't know why he needed big numbers..he had good eyesight..weird.
One clockwise circle..
Two clockwise circles..
Three clockwise circles..
FLICK! "Horolos!"
It worked? On the FIRST try!? Bahahaha! Well, the numbers on this pocket watch were not nearly as big as the ones on her father's, but that didn't matter!
Destiny was AWESOME at Transfiguration!

Alex flinched at the question, "I was not paying attention. Accidentally did the spell and wand movements for it instead of doing Horolos..I hadn't even noticed until you know." she waved to her burns. Seriously it was as stupid as walking into a tree that hit back. "Certainly taught me never to do it again." She muttered under her breathe. She put her wand behind her ear refusing to look at the Professor- seriously who accidentally set themselves on fire? easy answer she thought sarsastically, her.

"Incendio is nowhere near Horolos," he said simply, not believing that a first year could accidentally cast that spell effectively. "I suspect that you weren't following instructions. But, I think that the damage you have done to yourself will suffice as punishment."
Preston stood. "You are dismissed to the healer. If you need assistance, you may take one classmate with you."

Alex looked away packing her things quickly before leaving..as fast as she could with a burned leg which was slow slow slow. She finally limped out of the door and to the Hosptial Wing.
Selena sighed as she watched the girl limp out. It was certainly painful. Selena looked at the pocket watch she had made. Perhaps she should start over. "Reverto," Selena said, hoping that this time the spell would come to her more easily. It did. It became back a silver, black and white lock. Selena focused on the lock and thought about each individual property that she wanted her watch to have. She imagined the ticking face, the chain it would be on. "Horolus!" Selena said as she looked at the watch. Ooh. It was telling the right time!! Selena grinned. Transfiguration was getting easier that before.

A snow globe! It was so...PRETTY! Did Vashti have to change it back into a bouncy ball? The snow globe was way better.
Sigh.
She set to writing down the properties of the snow globe:
Quote:
What is the item: A snow globe
Size: It can…fit in my hand kinda
Shape: Round, globe = sphere
Texture: Smooth
Colour: The globe part is clear, the base part is solid and black
Weight: Heavy-ish?
Defining markings: Has a cute little snowman inside the globe with loose “snow” collected at the bottom
Then she set the paper aside and picked up her wand. Okay, so. Flick, right? Sure. "Reverto."
...Nothing. Hm...focus a little more, perhaps.
Concentrating on the stuff she'd written down about her bouncy ball, Vashti performed the wave movement with another, "Reverto!" Still nothing. Connnnncentrate! Focusing even harder on imagining the snow globe becoming a bouncy ball, she tried again. "Reverto!"
Well...something had changed. The globe was down a dark shade of pink, but it was still quite clearly not a bouncy ball.
Hmmm...

Please put the items away, or if they are too large at the moment, at least make sure you have some room on your desk."
But apparently time was up for now. Crud. She'd have to work on this pink snow globe later. Placing it in her bag - she'd probably have to carry it once they actually left but for now it could stay in her bag - she took out a fresh piece of parchment, dipped her quill in ink, and was poised to take some more lovely notes.

"So, yes, Horolos, will transfigure an item into a watch or clock. The shape it takes depends on what you picture it to be. Those more advanced students will be able to create more intricate pieces, though I encourage you all to start small."
Reaching behind the desk, Preston pulled up another box. Reaching in, he removed a single muggle combination lock.
"Pass these around. Everyone gets one." He handed the box to a student in the front.
"We're going to all transfigure the same object, so we can again reflect on the changing properties. Take notice of the similarities, in particular. The lock has a face, with numbers. A watch, or a clock, will have a face, with numbers. Let that help you focus."
"Remember, picture the new piece in your mind, what you want it to look like. And then," Preston unholstered his wand and rolled up his sleeve. "The wand movement is a little more complicated. Three tight clock-wise circles, with a flick at the end." He demonstrated.
"So, horolos. Pronounce it hor-eh-los, three tight circles." Preston did so, transfiguring his lock into into a stylish pocketwatch. When you have your lock, you may give it a try. Raise your hand if you have questions or need help. Remember, you might not get it right your first time."
Preston tapped the blackboard with his wand, adding the information.
Hm... Horolos? Hor-eh-los. Hor-eh-los. Yeah, she'd have to write the pronunciation down for that one.
Pausing in her scribbling to take a lock before passing it on, Vashti quickly finished her notes before taking up her wand again. Alright. So three clockwise circles... Check. Check. Check. And a flick! Check! "Horolos!"
Aaand...nothing much happened. Of course. Try, try again.
One, two, three circles - flick! "Horolos!" There was a tiny change this time, at least. The lock numbers had disappeared to be replaced by clock numbers...but it was still clearly a lock.

Okay, okay, okay. She knew she wasn't giving as much concentration as she could. That was what was wrong. She just wanted to avoid another trip to the hospital wing was all. But she was tired of her magic not working!
She closed her eyes and blocked everything out, picturing the little round clock she was going to transform the lock into. Or not... wait.. she could do better. She could make the round lock square. She nodded her head in affirmation of herself. Yes, she could, thank you very much. She opened her eyes and stared, threateningly, at the lock.
Circle, circle, circle, flick! "Horolus!" she said. Almost commanded.
She watched as, before her eyes, the numbers changed to 1 through 12. The center sprouted little hands that began ticking.
Ellie glanced at her own watch and smiled. The correct time, too. She was just awesome. And though the lock didn't change fully, she was quite pleased with herself. So far...
Preston returned to checking on student work, looked down at the partial watch. "Good attempt. Now, use reverto to turn it back to the lock and try again. You'll want to be able to do the full transfiguration in one go."

Frowning, she looked down at the lock she took as the box was being passed around. Muggles used these? Seriously? How, in Merlin's name, were they useful? But, thoughts of how weird muggles were would have to wait. Time to turn this thing into a watch! Yes!
Practicing the wand movement first, since it was the hardest part at the moment, after a couple tries, she figured she had it down. And her pronunciation on the spell names were already good enough as it was so there was no real need to practice that. However, a few mumbles of the spell she said under her breathe as she placed the combination lock in the middle of her desk, before preparing to do the spell.
Okay. Scooting her bracelet out of the way, she glanced at the silver snake for a moment before looking at the combination lock. So, lock...into watch. Lock to watch. Lock...to watch. Lock-watch. Closing her eyes, she tried to imagine it, going from lock....to watch...
"Horolos." she said, creating the three tight circles and upwards flick at the end like practiced. Opening her eyes... that was definitely not the watch she imagined. In fact, it didn't work at all. Sighing, she rolled her eyes before moving her bracelet a little more out of the way and closing her eyes once more, thinking of the first picture of a watch that came to mind. This time, it WILL work. "Horolos!"
Ehh...maybe she should put her bracelet away? It was too much a distraction.
Picking up the watch, she frowned as she picked up her bracelet. Bahahaha! Moving to the side, she stuffed it into her bag before sitting up straight again.
It seemed she got the spell down alright. Just focusing was all that needed to be worked on. Definitely, focus. And not focusing on snakes. "Reverto."
Preston smiled, impressed as he continued around the room.

Raising his voice, Preston addressed the class as he walked. "If you've been successful, revert your lock and try to imagine a more complex piece for your next attempt." He paused.
"And remember, this time, if you're not successful the first time, use reverto to make it the original lock before you try again."

Ellie smiled. Yes, it was a good attempt, she thought, A very good attempt.
She concentrated again, though this time not as hard, since she had had more practice with this spell, "Reverto!" she said. And it turned back into the combination lock. Yay! She was glad to get the hand of this.
Then she tried again, to make it into a clock. Square, this time she thought.
"Horolos!" she said, as she mentally pictured the little square clock again.
It worked! It was now a little, square, ticking, black clock. Hehe. Cool.
She then tried to think of something a little more complex to change the lock into, before she turned it into a lock again.
What is the item: Ace of Spades card
Size: Smaller than my own hand
Shape: Like a rectangle
Texture: Quite soft to human touch, smooth.
Color: Black and white
Weight: As light as a feather, or almost.
Defining markings: The spades! It has spades drew onto it, and A's. Other than that, looks almost new.
Treyen nodded, and wrote down what the Professor had mentioned about the first spell. Reverto. More accurately, re-VER-toe.
But then the class was now onto the new spell. He...blinked. WHAT?!
Dude. The Pensevies aint got nothing on you. Aslan is the God
Amy looked at her padlock, and closed her eyes, imagining an old fashioned brass clock, Horolos! she said, her eyes still closed as she imagined the clock she wanted she opened her eyes and- oh, she said, dejectledly as she looked at the plain padlock which had not changed at all, she took an deep breath and tried again, Horolos! she opened her eyes and what the ?, words failed her as she looked at her mangaled padlock, professor, what was the repairing spell again?

Selena blushed when the professor kinda complimented her on her thinking. Selena did what she had to do, or else the girl could've been completely burned and died! So... it was really nothing... right? Selena shook her head clear of the thoughts and used reverto on the watch. She was going to make an amazing pocket watch! She hoped.
Selena closed her eyes to thin up of a pretty pocket watch. Or... maybe she could make a clock! Selena thought of a silver clock, the small ones you put on your bedside tables. She saw the black hands moving. She heard the ticking sound that Selena hated. Selena imagined a black swirly design on the sides of the clock. mm. It looked amazing. Selena imagined it. The sounds, the smooth texture. Selena opened her eyes and did the correct hand movement.
With a flick at the lock, it became the clock in her mind. She wondered if she could keep it...
Giving her wand a flourish, Cadence thought hard, "Reverto!" and the clock/lock went back to being solely her combination lock. Well, at least she could nonverbally untransfigure something now? Trying to picture it clearly in her mind, a silver pocket watch, she gave her wand three tight circles, a small flick, and said, "Horolos!" This time, the combination lock obediently changed into a handsome silver pocket watch with a chain AND function minute and hour hands. Smiling she looked around for the Professor to see what she should do next.

Walking over to address another question, he stood a little concerned that she'd forgotten so quickly. "The spell from earlier in class, Miss Samson. Reverto will change the lock back to its original form."

How did the class manage to start oh-so-quickly?! And more importantly, WHY didn't he notice?! He was focusing...or so he thought.
But..er..more blinking was to come, because he DIDN'T even took notice of his card being GONE! Yes, GONE! There was no card. But a paper airplane instead! AN AIRPLANE! Oh! This brought back the time when he was talking with Tiberius about planes. Big broomsticks. And Tiberius was now...well...not here. He should try and find out what happened to the boy.
After class was over, of course. There was not going to be an answer in Transfiguration, that's for sure.
Er, never mind. Reverto. Right?
Perhaps he was NOT focused.
He eyed the little paper airplane and took his wand. re-VER-toe. It seemed easy, but Transfiguration had managed to become difficult. So, no warranties this could work on his first try.
Treyen took a deep breath, and "Reverto!" he said, flicking his wand with as much confidence as possible and making sure he'd pronounced the spell right...when...OH MY GILDEROY!
Treyen had dropped his wand in all the excitement, because he was seeing his Ace of Spades card again. He undid the airplane! And there was his card! Oh, he was much too attached to this card now. "Yes!" he said, arms up in the air, this was the first time that a spell had worked in the first try! He was moving up, people! Moving up to become another Gilderoy Lockhart! Oh, how proud he was! And how happy! He was practically jumping up and down...but wasn't.

Having already reverted her watch back to the normal lock combination thing, Evelyn sat for a moment, trying to think of what the new watch should look like.
Glancing at Destiny for a moment, Evelyn noted the only one try her friend had to do before she got the spell right. Pfft. Her friend's first try compared to her million tries. Looking everywhere else around the room to give her some clue as to what she could do, she finally thought of something, putting a small smile on her face. Mwaha! Surely the he would find it funny...
Closing her eyes, trying to picture the watch in her mind, the Slytherin made the three tight circles and upwards flick while saying, "Horolos."
It wasn't the color she wanted specifically, but it was still good enough. Gold in her mind was just not as good as silver. Anyways though. She got the watch on the first try this time! HA! At least she was focusing this time too and not distracted with her snake bracelet. "Professor. Does that look familiar?" she said, holding up the watch for him to see.

"Now, don't be concerned if you didn't make the connection. Many muggles aren't familiar with this word, either. Horology is the study of time, and by extension, the pieces that keep time. Watches. Clocks. Sundials."

Muaha. He managed to get his guess right. Go Jimbo. The Farley wins again. Even more proud of himself now, Jimbo lifted his quill to write down the new notes on the board.

Putting down his quill, he lifted his wand and tried the wand movement on it's own, making sure he had it right. Pointing his wand at the lock, he pictured it turning into an alarm clock. "Horolos!"
Nothing. Typical. Unsurprised, Jimbo tried again. Tight circle clockwise...one, two, three and FLICKY. "Horolos!"
The lock grew a bell. Huh. He wasn't doing so bad then. That's good. He'll have to undo it though, so he could try again. *sigh* "Reverto!"
The bell disappeared. Trying again, Jimbo did the wand movement. "Horolos!
And TWO bells. Allllright. So, he'd have to try again.
A couple more tries later (he lost count) he had two bells, the clock hands and the teeny legs at the bottom. Good progress.
Circle, circle, circle, FLICK! "Horolos!"
But wait. He shouldn't get too excited. There was ALWAYS something wrong. He double and triple checked the clock but it seemed to be fine. Hmm. He turned it on and set it for 5 seconds. After those five seconds, nothing happened. URGH. That WOULD happen, wouldn't it?
So now, instead of there being a sound he can't get rid of, there's a sound he can't GET?
Someone was messing with him. This is completely ridiculous.
Growling, Jimbo turned it back to normal and tried again. "Horolos!
Set for 5 seconds.
Wait.
Nothing.
Reverto-ness. "Horolos!
Set for five seconds.
Wait.
Nothing.
Growl again. "Reverto!
Set for 5 seconds.
Wait.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand nothing.
Obviously getting frustrated, Jimbo tried again. "Reverto! Horolos!
He put down his wand in an angry manner and picked up the clock to set it. He stared at it for five seconds and didn't expect anything to happen, so he wasn't prepared to silence it when it went off.
Again, it was Jimbo who was making the noise. Jimbo the Noisemaker. Thing is, he didn't even mean to. BLAH.
Grabbing his wand from his desk, he silenced the thing and kept glaring at it until he realized that he'd done it. Yay!
Suppressing the urge to get up and dance like he did last time he just sat back and grinned.

Vashti smiled at Professor Kingsley when he changed her lock back to its original state. "Thank you, professor," she said before taking a deep, slow breath to help herself concentrate. All right. She. Could. Do. This. Focusss.
One, two, three circles. Flick. "Horolos!"
There was a bit more of a change this time - the numbers had changed again and the center part of the lock had disappeared, replaced by the two hands of a clock. They didn't move, but at least she was getting there! Still had to work on getting rid of the rest of the lock and actually making it look like a clock, though.
At least she could practice Reverto again.
With a flick of her wand, she said, "Reverto!" And...YAY! The clock-like parts had changed back into their original lock-like parts. She getting better at Reverto at least! YAY!
Or it could just be beginner's luck but she tried not to think that negatively.

" "mkay." She returned the smile and turned to her lock, picking it up and pondering on what type of watch she wanted it to be. It took her a moment, but she decided that it would be easier to picture a watch without straps than one with, so she went for a gold pocket watch.
Twirling her wand, she concentrated on the spell before tapping the wand and saying, ""Horo-" Oh...wait. Wrong wand movement. Silly Arya.
Glancing at her notes, she looked at the wand movements and turned back to her lock. Turning her wand in three circles she repeated. "Horolos!"
The lock changed from a silver to a light goldish color. Meh, it was a start.

"Those of you who are still writing, you'll have more time, but I could use everyone's attention." Preston reached into the box, extracting a child's dog toy. Placing it on the desk, he unholstered his wand.
"We're going to learn two spells today. Or, rather, we'll learn another use for a spell that returning students already know, and then a new spell. But the first is important so that you can fix any mistakes you make."
"Untransfiguration reverts a transfigured item back to its previous form. Last term, students learned the Reverto, pronounced re-VER-toe, would revert an item to a previous natural state - like a butterfly to a caterpillar. The SAME incantation, with a slightly different emphasis, will undo a transfiguration. Like so."
Preston tapped the toy, transfiguring it into a vase, decorated with the images of little dogs. "Pronounce the incantation, re-ver-TOE, with a light flourish of your wand, concentration on the form you want the item to return to."
"Reverto!" Preston flourished his wand, and the vase shrunk back down and into a child's toy.
"Now, it's much easier to revert something you transfigured in the first place, so we're going to give you some practice reverting things you didn't. That is why I've asked you to bring a personal item. I will be transfiguring your items into something else. I want you to take note of the new properties of the item. Even without knowing what spell I used, you should be able to think about what kind of changes occurred. Take careful notes of those properties and then picture in your mind the item changing back, focusing on each specific property. Concentrate on that image."
Preston picked up the box again, just in case some wanted to change their item. "I don't expect the younger students to be successful immediately. The strength of the original spell has a lot to do with how easy untransfiguration is. Keep at it. Don't be surprised if you get it part of the way but not entirely. Older students, fifth year and above, this should be easier for you, so I would like you to try the spell nonverbally. The concentration for that, coupled with the concentration should provide more of a challenge."
Preston tucked the box under his arm. "I'm going to come around and transfigure your items once you are done with your initial notes. If you would like to pick a new item because your item is too personal or valuable, please do."
ooc: I will let you know what your item has been changed into, but I leave the details to you. It's ok (and expected) that your character may have trouble with the spell, especially if they are younger. Points are awarded for participation/effort, not necessarily success.
Walking by, Professor Kingsley tapped the bangle, transfiguring it into a rubberband.
---
Waiting for her response, Preston looked about the room to see who else was ready. "Who else? Questions?" [/color]
"Reverto...re-VER-toe, no...re-ver-TOE. That was it." Adelyn thought to herself, trying to remain calm. She wanted this to be easy, but she knew it wasn't going to be. She took a deep breath, as the Professor came around, transfiguring everyone's object. Adelyn barely had time to blink before her silver bangle was transformed before her eyes into a rubberband. "Oh!" She heard herself say quietly once she realized it. "It's okay, Adelyn...it's okay. Just, use the spell. You can change it back. Can't be that hard, right?" She sighed, thinking to herself.

Adelyn studied the rubberband. It was just a common, every day rubberband. What more could she say about it? She pulled out her parchment again, taking note of the new properties.
What is the item: a simple rubberband.
Size: fits around a wrist.
Shape: round?
Texture: smooth.
Color: tan.
Weight: very lightweight.
Defining markings: none that I can see.

ooc: we're gonna be on this step for a while to give multiple timezones a chance to play. So, feel free to use multiple posts to be successful and if you HAVE been successful and want to give it another go, lemme know.
Finally, Adelyn was ready to try the spell. She moved her wand in the motion, simply testing it out; a swish from the bottom left to the upper right. Easy enough. She closed her eyes, picturing the way the bangle should be, then opened them to see the rubberband. "I can do this." She thought to herself. Then, she swished her wand, saying: "Reverto!" Adelyn looked down at her desk. It was still a rubberband. "No big deal. You can't get everything on the first try. Just try again." She thought to herself, before swishing her wand again and saying "Reverto!" The rubberband had changed color to silver, and she could faintly make out the engraving. That was better.

ooc: That's it for me for today. Keep working on your untransfigurations, but know that if you need Prof. Kingsley, it'll be a bit of a wait. Consider the above my transfiguring your item into something else. Below there's a list for those of you who already named what your original item is but hadn't had it changed yet. If you can't find your name or haven't posted in the thread yet, you can make up what Professor Kingsley turned it into with the following guidelines. 1st-4th year, inanimate. 5th-7th year, animal; spell to be attempted nonverbally.
Adelyn tried once more, picturing the bangle clearly in her head, not noticing the rest of the class. "Reverto!" She said, clearly and confidently. Looking down at the place where the rubberband once sat, was her bangle. Adelyn smiled to herself, and reached out to touch the smooth silver of her child bangle.

Please put the items away, or if they are too large at the moment, at least make sure you have some room on your desk."
*ooc: We are moving on. If you would like your student to be successful, you may do so as part of your next post. However, Professor Kingsley has moved on, so don't be a distraction.
Professor Kingsley returned to the blackboard and wrote a single word. Horolos.
"Part of your homework will be to continue practicing untransfiguration, but since I cannot be with you at all times to transfigure your items, I will also be teaching you a transfiguration spell today."
He tapped the board with his hand. "Horolos. Any guesses as to what it might do?" He looked out over the class.
"I'll give you a hint. The incantation is similar to the name muggles give the study of this object."

Horolos - transfigures an object into a time piece.
Wand movement - three tight, clock-wise circles with a flick at the end.
Concentration - picture your new item in detail; note how the lock's properties will need to change.
Adelyn felt herself blush a deep shade of scarlet. The class was continuing and she had just finished changing her bangle back! "Oh no...I really hope this Professor doesn't hate me..." She thought, extremely worried, and anxiously scribbled down the notes he had written on the board. "Horolos...hor-eh-los...I think I've got that much." She said to herself, then proceeded to practice the wand movement. Three tight clockwise circles, then a flick. Not so bad. Looking down at the lock, she performed the movement while saying "Horolos!" Nothing. Adelyn sighed, but not to be discouraged, tried again. "Horolos!" This time, the lock changed color; from silver to a light gold. Another try: "Horolos!" Finally, the lock changed into a simple, gold pocket watch; like the one her father had. "Yes!" Adelyn grinned at her success.

Looking down at the pocket watch, Adelyn said "Reverto!" changing it back to the lock. In her mind, she pictured a more complex clock; the one that sat on the mantle back home! It was wooden with a flower design; she could do it. She concentrated hard on what she wanted, then took a breath before saying "Horolos!" In front of her sat the clock from back home. "Awesome." Adelyn smiled, although it was probably just luck.

Carter placed his scarf in his bag and took a lock. He placed it down on the desk on concentrated on a clock. He thought of the numbers and the round shape. "Horolos" he said moving his wand in three circles. The lock then changed into a wall clock. It had twelve numbers and a circle face. But it looked off... he forgot something...
The hands!!
"Reverto." he said. The clock transformed back into the lock. Time to try again.
