He forced a smile. “Very funny, Rodent.” He said trying to sound as normal as usual (or as normal as Oliver could be).
But he, unlike her last year, didn't hex her for being a doofus, and instead pocketed his wand and sat down again. Of course he should have known Miranda would sit with him and mock him because she was oh so funny like that. He wanted to pretend to laugh along and poke her in the ribs and smirk like an idiot like he usually would, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. Shifty Snake or not, he didn't have the energy to pretend right now so he just chewed at the inside of his cheek and ignored Miranda's first question. “That was a good prank.” He said, glancing at her to see her looking all amused still. He shook his head. “Nah. Just fancied being alone.” He managed to force another smile at his friend. | Miranda was squeaking as her laughter subsided and could finally get some air into her lungs. Oh, her cheeks were hurting.
Hm, was that a no to his Whomping Willow branch hunt? And why in the world was he looking all mopey for? OH yeah, she had managed to 'wake' him up, mwahahahaaaa.
Alone? Oliver?
Miranda squinted and looked around. Hm, there was no one around here that seemed to be the subject of Oliver's impress-ness. That didn't make sense. But she could see he hadn't found this spot to be all social. "Really?" She asked flatly. "Oliver, alone?" Warning beeeeeeeeeeeeells. Hehehe. "How come?" Tilting her head to the side, she regarded her friend with curiousity. What had happened that made him want to seek solutide? Squint.
Was she going to have to pull out the sugared chocolate frogs? |
