Alex sighed hugging Zane tightly, "I could have stopped her, tried harder. I should of tied her up or something instead of Levicorpus. I shouldn't of been so selfish." Alex muttered, Alex didn't care what Zane said she had been selfish and it ended in her best friends getting hurt.

"Lexi, you know I care about you, but gods you worry to much. If you would've done more, you would've hurt Selena because you were upset. I'd rather her hurt me than either one of you hurting the other. Girls need other girls around, I'm the third wheel in this relationship." he said, brushing her black hair out of her face.

Alex sniffed, "Don't be stupid." Alex muttered. "I need you and her equally, I mean your my excat oposite and Selena is like a friend who shares a lot of my favorite things with me." Alex told him still hugging him, if she lost Zane.. she wasn't sure what she would do.

"I'm always stupid, you shold know that by now." he said smiling.

Alex sighed, "Why did this happen? I mean setting myself on fire? I can handle, nearly dying by raspberry? Lived it, but you and Selena fighting her hating you? It's just too hard I mean why can't she just realise your here to stay." Alex asked she wasn't angry at it not even annoyed, she was just hurt.

"That's easy, I've already answer this question. When I'm around, you're more concerned about me than her, and she was your friend first. You can't just call me over every time we're in the same place and expect her to be ok about it. Her feelings are hurt Lex, think about how you would feel if the situation was reversed." he said, grabbing her and pulling her closer to him.

Alex sighed snorting, "I invited you along you were the one that didn't go. I was trying to get you to get along with her and ended up just messing everything up completely." Alex hated this not to mention Selena hadn't spoken to her since Charms Class until after she became friends with Zane. "Besides, Selena stopped talking to me after Charms Class. She completely ignored my existence pretty much. And then all of a sudden i'm friends with you and she starts to talk to me?" Alex wasn't seeing it to be honest, she would expect to be ignored if she had treated Selena like Selena treated her. "And I'm concered more for you because well honestly Selena can take care of herself and she wouldn't like me getting all 'are you okay?' with her." Alex explained her actions carefully she personally thought. Besides, it took Evelyn Flores to roughly knock her into the ground before Selena realised Evelyn wasn't the type of girl to be friends with.

"Wait, are you trying to say that I can't take care of myself? I know that I'm pathetic, but I didn't know I was that pathetic." he said, pulling her closer to him. "I know the story, but it is what it is Lex, what happened is in the past. I'm fine, a little worse for wear, but I'm fine."

Alex snorted, "So you know the Selena tried to make friends with Evelyn? Even though it was obvious Evelyn only wanted to get Selena away from me? Selena considered it to until I angered Evelyn badly enough that she rammed her shoulder into mine on purpose no less." Alex told him annoyed but let him draw her closer. "I know but i'm still allowed to worry your my boyfriend after all." Alex told him smiling slightly.

"Thats good. That you are close to your parents." Truebridge stiffened up just a little. He was not and had not been since about the same time as his troubles with Kazimeriz had started for about the same reason.

"I think you are more grounded and able to take care of yourself than what you give yourself credit for." He commented, meaning it completely. Jake needed to find that confidence in himself. Truebridge listened carefully and considered Jake's words.

"No. I don't think it is. You'll either grow out of it or you won't need to." Or he'd get stronger if something did happen.

"I did it differently. I left instead. I still do. Its why I travel in the summer."

Nodding silently, Jake stared down at his feet and kicked at the floor slightly. He... kind of understood what Truuebridge was saying but he didn't really... yeah, no. He didn't understand.

"I nnnever want to bbbe the one to llleave. I want to ssstay with my ppparents," he pointed out, and then frowned. "Which is wwwhy I hate this ppplace so much."

"I just wwwant to go hooooome," the boy stated in a half whine. "Hhhow long 'til the end of ttterm?"

"I never said you couldn't worry about me. People make mistakes Alex, that's what makes us human. Selena is trying to make up for that now I think, and I came in and ruined her shot of having a really good friend. That's her thinking anyway." he said, smiling.

Alex just shook her head, "No, Selena just doesn't want to share me." Alex repiled knowing her female best friend well enough to know that by know. "And in the end that just may be what seperates us." Alex added frowning, she knew if Selena didn't get over it soon she and Selena would most likely just stop talking because Alex wouldn't just let her female best friend openly hate her male best friend and boyfriend.

"You know, you're right. You need to just have a sit down talk with Selena, just you and her. I think she doesn't like me because I am taking you from her, which I'm not trying to, but I don't think she could ever fully hate me." he said, shrugging his shoulders and stretching his legs. Freaking cramps.

Alex snorted, "Selena is even more stubborn then I am besides knowing me I will say the wrong thing and upset her." Alex told him being completely serious, she was good at saying the wrong thing.. during the right time. "But I will try sometime soon." Alex told him just to get him off the subject.

"You know what, you need to work on saying what you mean. You speak from your head, not from, your heart. You should try it now." he said smiling and laughing.

Alex glared at him, "You speak from the heart and how often to you end up in trouble with someone?" Alex asked slightly annoyed. "Besides, I'm a thinker not a person who feels and says. Unless someone is injured.." Alex trailed off before shaking her head and grinned.

"No, my problem is I don't know the words of how to say what I mean. I lack the word knowledge to say what I mean. You on the other hand, have both, or could have both. You just have to work on it hun." he said, hugging her.

Alex sniggered but hugged him back, "I'll try to work on it." Alex stated simply because what else could she say?

"Start now with me, how do you really feel about Selena?" he asked, letting her go so she could actually talk.

Alex sighed annoyed trying to feel but instead her mind interfered, "She's being completely unreasonable." Alex said instead of what she wanted to, "Sorry, my mind likes to think.." Alex stated afterwards smiling shyly.

"Ok, here's what we'll do. Close your eyes and think about Selena, see her face, remember things about her. What words come to mind?" he asked, thinking about doing the same but thinking about Alex later.

Alex sighed annoyed, but did as he asked closing her eyes and focusing remembering Selena's face and some things about her. "Stubborn, Strong Willed, Slightly Selfish, A bit unwilling to Share friends, Lonely.." Alex stopped there she didn't like not thinking, it just wasn't her!

"Now, take those things and say what you felt." he replied.

Alex sighed annoyed, "I don't want to, I like thinking this isn't me!" Alex protested loudly.
