Coffee looked a little antsy to Leilani, so she decided to take him for a walk around the grounds. Pulling out his pastel green leash, she clipped it to his ribbon.... This had to be the girliest looking guycat ever. But they were going on a walk and people were going to deal with it.

"Hi Cassandra. I'm Emma, Nice to meet you. I'm also a first year" replied Emma smiling. "So how was the trip up to Hogwarts?"

Alice looked up, "Oh, hello nice to meet you I'm Alice. Sorry about that I drift off into my own world a lot, bit of a day dreamer." Alice sat herself up and attempted to fix her hair which as usual had a mind of its own, "I'm new her too, moved back here from France where I was staying with my father."

"Hello Emma! Pleased to meet you as well. I've been enjoying everything about Hogwarts: the ride, the classes, the people...How about you? Cassie asked, ecstatic at the prospect of making new friends.

"No worries, doesn't everyone deserve a break from reality? I drift off all the time," Cassie responded with a smile, touching her own hair self-counsciously. "How was France?"

"France was beautiful but my dad and I don't get along very well. Very stubburn man." She rolled her eyes just at the thought of her father, it was like a knee-jerk reaction. "So how has the beginning of the year been going for you?"

Cassandra shrugged apologetically at the bit about her father. "The beginning of the year has been great. Waiting for more classes to open later this week...I can't wait! It's a little lonely down here in the dungeons though...i don't know many people." Cassie said, sighing. "But that should change shortly I think. How has your year been?"

"Yea I know what you mean, the dungeon is sort of...secluded. I haven't met too many people either but so far the year has been great and I'm looking foward to seeing what the classes are like here." Alice smiled, "What I'm looking foward to most though is just exploring the castle and the grounds, I love a good adventure."

"An adventure sounds marvelous, expecially since we're stuck down here in the seculded dungeons. I bet there are loads of things to find in the castle and grounds. They're probably just waiting for someone to discover them" Cassie responded eagerly, imagining all sorts of things the magical castle could hold.

Aileen started to be quite tired so she said bye to Maggie and the other, went to wash and change into pyjamas and then she went to bed. Soon she was asleep.

"I've meet Etoile alright, but I don't think I've met a Selena yet." she said apologetically.


"I think anyone gets picked in Duelling Club as long as they sign up for it." Dianna said hopefully.
"Anyhow, what classes are you looking forward to?" she said.

Alice smiled a small dangerous smile, "Well how about it then? Why don't me and you go on an adventure in this maze-like castle?" She smiled to herself thinking of all the things they could find. Oh when her curiosity was sparked nothing could stop her especially not if someone else were to come along.

Selena walked into the dorms and looked at the time. She saw a red envelope on her table. 'Must be the howler...' Selena said as she smiled. She made sure everyone else was gone. When she opened it, she winced. The red paper started to talk.

"Selena Vivianne Riddle! How dare you! What were you thinking? you got your dress dirty, what type of girls do you hang out with?! That is absolutely horrid! My friends were over when the owl arrived and were just as appalled! Do you think their daughters are like that?! Of course not! They are more lady-like and have me manners! Selena's mom's voice spat out as Selena rolled her eyes. All she hoped was that no body was really around to hear.

Kenna plopped onto her bed. She opened her package, various contents spilling out. Four Different letters, pictures and trinkets fell onto her bed.Opening the first letter she saw she read to herself:

Dearest KK,

We hope all is well at Hogwarts. By now you should be starting classes, and I pray you're doing well in them. Maybe I could help out a bit? Send some extra books or reading material, just say the word.

I haven't got much time to write, but Marissa is good, she's told me that for the wedding she would like bindweed flowers in her bouquet. What are those? They don't sound very wedding-ish. Were still setting the date, but It'll be sometime in the summer, so you wont miss any school.

She smiled at the letter from her eldest brother. He and his fiancee Marissa got engaged in the early winter. She was going to be a bridesmaid. Attached was her favorite quill from home. It was a bit ridiculous looking. A macaw feather, It was a present he gave her when she got her letter.

She opened another one. From Collin and Cutler. They were the youngest. Collin is 7 while Cutler is only 3.

Dear Kennie,

How is school? Mine is very good. We are learning division. My teacher says I'm very good at it, I bet I'm better then you. Yesterday, I was in the backyard playing with Cal, and he let me ride his broom. It was really fun, but then I went to fast and fell. It hurt and now I have a bump on my head. Cutler is walking around pretty fast, and he told us that he misses you. I can't wait to see you. Write back very fast.

It was written in child scratch, his writing was improving, but it was obvious that Mother helped him writing it. Attached was a picture of the family. Without their Mother of course, they were all together, in their pajamas. It was New Years Eve two years ago. Cutler wasn't their either. Another picture was a crayon drawing from Cutler. Just some scribbles in different colors, underneath was the title, Kenna at Hogwarts, written by Mother. She put both on her nightstand next to the quill.

Thanks for the present, and what did you mean 'girl problems'? For you're information, I've met a lovely lady named Olivia, and she seemed pretty into me the way she was snogging me last night. You should meet her, she reminds me of you kinda, except not like you. It's weird, but I really like her, so don't mess it up for me by sending her weirdo messages about things I do.

She smiled. Calder was always so there. When she moved in and was obsessing over her Dad, he slept in her room for a month, making sure she didn't cry for too long. He was always fun, and full of life, even when he was making fun of her. Barbie, was his nickname for her, she was blonde and tiny and had big blue eyes, and the fact that she loved to dress up wasn't helping either.

The last present was a book for her. It was his Idea book he had been keeping for a year or so. He filled it with funny poems, pictures, stories and inside jokes of theirs. He had given her one when she moved in, and she had brought it with her. She opened it and started to read, laughing occasionally.

Hello, she said back. I'm Kathy. What is your name? I'm glad you spoke to me because i don't know anyone here. What year are you in? Hope we can be good friends in the many years we are here together.

Sapphyre sighed as she entered the dormitory, hand trailing along the wall as a safety measure. She closed the door and, using her walking stick, made her way to where she knew her bed to be. Sitting down, she placed a hand to one of the posters of the four poster bed and crossed her legs. Oi. Being blind was tiring.

Selena glanced up and saw a girl walking over to her bed. Selena shoved the howler under her pillow. It hadn't ripped itself up. Selena debated whether or not to approach the other girl... She walked up to her but stopped. She was a bit hesitant. What if the girl had just wanted time alone? To unwind and relax? Selena sighed. "Hello, my name's Selena," Selena said to her. Okay. No going back now.

"Hello," Sapphyre replied, holding her hand out as someone introduced themselves. Selena? That's a pretty name. "I'm Sapphyre... Black. Though, Phyre is a bit easier and it makes me feel less... proper. So I'd rather you call me that. It's what decent people call me." Her thoughts went out to Violet... who called her Sapphyre. Yeah. Decent people called her Phyre. "Well, besides teachers, but all the same... Nice to meet you, Selena."

Selena took the hand and shook it firmly. "It's nice to meet you as well, Phyre," Selena smiled, "Well, if you think Selena is a mouthful, you can always just call me Sel or Lena, everyone else does," Selena said sheepishly.

For a moment, Phyre felt Selena grasp her hand, and an image of the girl appeared in her mind. She was as young as her, if not younger. Well, it was good to socialize with other students about her age. Having fifth and sixth years as friends was a bit intimidating. "Thanks," she replied, smiling coyly. "I think Lena will do. I like the ring of that. Though, there's Lina, which sounds the same, but..." She trailed off, shrugging. Lina and Lena wouldn't be in the same room at the same time, most-likely. She only ran into Lina in the first place because of misforunate events. "Whatever. Lena it is. If I may ask, you're a first year, right...? I don't remember you being in my class, and I'm a second year."

The girl spoke very fast and a lot of questions was asked to her.

"Erm... I'm Dianna. Pleasure to meet you." she held out her hand.
"First Year just like you I guess..." she continued.

Phyre seemed to be deep in thought for a moment. "Well, yeah, I'm a first year," Selena said with a smile. She noted that Phyre seemed to ramble a bit sometimes, it was quite interesting though, so Selena didn't mind. "So what was it like last year?" Selena asked. Over the years, things seemed to change so much. Even in the course of one year.

"Oh, first year," Phyre said, smiling. "Glad I don't have to say that anymore. But, nonetheless... Welcome to Hogwarts, fresh meat! I joke, of course. We usually don't feed first years to the Forbidden Forest creatures. I'm a living testament. The weakest go first, right? Well, I would've been gone. I'm terrible at magic. Or, I was. Now I'm better. A summer's worth of practice can always do one well." She sighed. Yeah... Practice... "It was great. I mean, it had all its setbacks and whatnot, but the battle that took place was exciting. It makes me wonder what'll happen now... And hope that it won't be as detrimental." She tapped her eye and smiled sadly. "There's a reason these peepers don't work."

"Oh, should I hide now if you're going to feed me to the creatures in the forest?" Selena giggled. Then Selena froze a little when she found out the girl was blind. She didn't know that. "You're... blind?" Selena said softly. "What happened?" Selena asked. By the sounds of it, it seemed like a spell gone wrong.

"Oh, don't worry," Phyre replied, laughing. "I think I like you. I only feed mean people to the giant spiders in there." Ah. The freeze up. Heh. At least this proved that she was good at acting... sighted. "Yup. Completely blind. I was stupefied into a wall waaaaaaaaay too many times. Hurt the back of my head..." She felt around, pointing out where she had been hit. "Right there... It's because I didn't know what I was doing when I was fighting. Just sticking by my friends... Well, at least I proved myself loyal, right? And I clocked my least-favorite person in the face in the process."

"Giant spiders? Cool," Selena winked. "Wow..." Selena said softly as she found that out. She seemed to take the fact that she hurt herself like that so calmly. She accepted it. Selena wondered what she would do... if she were like that. Selena wouldn't be able to live. "So, all your senses must be great then, because I heard that the absence of one of your senses enhance the others," Selena offered. She wasn't sure what else to say.
