Oh. That sounded like fun! But Gold had a question. She hesitated, pretty sure that she shouldn't ask it and go with the flow. Do what everyone else was, and not disturb the class. But she was more comfortable with her own crystal ball, so maybe it wasn't such a good idea not to ask. Which was why, after a moment's hesitation, she raised a hand.

"Professor, can I use my own crystal ball?" She asked, in rather apologetic tones. Not that she was going to see next week's weather in it, but she would just be far more comfortable that way.

Dianna rubbed her eyes as she took down notes about the crystal ball.

Holding her candle closer to the crystal ball she focused on it. Clearing her mind she looked and jotted down what she thinks she saw.

Noir listened very carefully what Professor Reynolds said..she pulled out a parchment and quill from her bag..then she wrote the size of the orb and the type of crystal its made out of

Noir nodded..then she took the candle from Professor Reynolds and she placed the candle behind her crystal orb and lit it up.."Perfect" she said..

Once Noir set every things right like Professor Reynolds told, she took a few breath and tried to relax and cleared her mind..After she felt relax and her mind clear, she focusing her eyes into the crystal ball..

A few minutes later, she saw three symbols in her crystal ball..she wrote it down..

Zane lit up his candle and stuck it behind the crystal ball, and began to gaze. He saw nothing for about ten minutes, until he had an idea "What's going to happen to me at Hogwarts this year?" he thought, and five minutes later, he had his signs.

He jotted his signs down and waited for instructions. He thought about asking Alex, but he figured she's want to keep her "future" a secret.

Alex sighed looking away from her crystal, she couldn't understand what the last symbols were. She decided to just write down her question,

Alex glared at Selena, don't it said. She did however take a glance at Zane's parchment, he had two of the same as her but she did more of a wide reading with the future and him with well present probably. She wondered again what he asked. She sighed focusing on the ball again, one was slowly clearing up.

LLAMA??? h no, wait, it was a tower of some sorts, a risk of disappointment? In what? She sighed and continued to stare at the foggy ball as it formed symbols.

Text Cut: professor reynolds

Fallon took notes as Professor Reynolds talked about crystal balls. This class was kind of boring, but was pretty simple when it came to homework. When they were instructed to go get a crystal ball, Fallon got up and went over to where they all were. She grabbed one of the first ones that she saw and went back to her seat.

Fallon then pulled out a fresh piece of parchment and took notes on the crystal ball that she chose.

After that, he waved his wand and the blinds closed in the room, and he began handing out the candles, placing them on the desks of each student. "If you don't have your list of symbols from last lesson, I have more copies on my desk. If you have any questions, please ask!" he added.

And with that, they were off!

"And for those of you who may have a particularly strong gift for scrying...do not be surprised if you actually see scenes or images of people you know in the crystal ball. Usually people only see a few shapes at first, but you may be lucky and see something else," he said with a wide grin.

Once she was done with that, Fallon listened to what Professor Reynolds had to say. She took a candle and placed behind her orb like she was instructed to do. Fallon then began to focus in on her crystal orb. How am I supposed to focus for 20 minutes?! Still, it had to be done.

A long 20 minutes later, Fallon could make out a few shapes in her crystal ball. She took out her quill and parchment and quickly went to write them done so that she wouldn't forget.

Selena didn't notice the glare that Alex shot her because another symbol came up... A dinosaur!! No, it was just a crocodile. And she knew what that meant. False Friendship. She was a bit worried and she took a deep breath as another symbol started to form. A vase. Secrets...

After a moments hesitation, when he blinked a few times out of surprised, he cleared his throat and nodded with a grin. "If you have it in your possession, that's fine," he told her.

"How's everyone coming? Any questions?"

Alex glanced up from her crystal ball at the Professor's question. Her last symbol was finally clearing up at least but she still couldn't make it out, looked like a Triangle but more wedge shaped..was that even possible? She sighed focusing on the ball again she would see if she was right

Zane broke eye contact away from his crystal ball and looked over to Alex and Selena. "I wonder what those two are glaring back and forth for." he thought. He looked back into the crystal and an image formed fairly quickly compared to the others. He thought on it hard, and suddenly he knew what it was. He grabbed his quill and wrote it under the others, and following Alex's lead, wrote down his question. He didn't read hers, but he saw that she had did it, "Always better to do it like the smart people.".

She then went back to her crystal and focused..it did look like a triangle with a wedge shape..She sighed wondering if she should put it down, "Professor, what does a Triangle with a Wedge kind of shape mean?" she asked raising her hand before she spoke.

Uhm... Yeah, there was nothing in her crystal ball. As expected, but still... it seemed some people had made progress. Sure, if she used her imagination, she could probably find a centaur in there if she wanted to. But, no. She was going to do this truthfully. And truthfully, there was nothing there. Why? Hm... let's see... because Ellie thought this was a whole bunch of hogwash maybe?

Destiny's eyes felt like they were on FIRE!

She had been staring at the crystal ball for about five minutes without blinking and she STILL didn't see any pictures. Looking up as the Professor asked if there were any questions, Destiny blinked a few times before raising her hand, "Has anyone ever lost an eye from scrying to much?"

Something like that would make the class more exciting, that's for sure.

Alex nodded waiting for the Professor's answer. She hoped it was wrong, She really didn't like the thought of a triangle..wedge thing.

"I do, sir," Gold said, with a little nod of her head. She took it out, a pink-topaz crystal ball that was really, really old but didn't look it. Gently placing it in front of her, Gold made sure that the Impenetrable Charm on it was still in place and then, quietly, lit a candle.

Then she clasped her hands together, closed her eyes for a moment and, opening them again, looked into the crystal ball. The images weren't shadowy, a little too clear for her liking, and she chewed on her lower lip without realizing it, trying to shake the clarity off. It was a bug, of course it was. It shouldn't be there, in her crystal ball.

Shaking herself out of the daze, Gold looked away. Insect and fence. She knew what that meant. Quietly, she jotted the two down.

Having been staring at the flame from the candle for the past few minutes, Evelyn could feel her concentration slipping and her eyes closing more and more at every passing second. The candles were actually warming up the room a little more, which didn't suit well with the dark of the room either.

With her eyes almost shut, the Slytherin's gaze somehow lowered to the crystal ball which looked almost glowing in the dark of the room. It was reeeaaalllly pretty. Smiling just the slightest, for a moment, she thought she saw something flutter and move in the golden crystal ball, but a few blinks later, it was gone. Meh. Probably just her eyesight and sleepiness taking over. Taking a deep breathe, Evelyn stretched for a moment before going back to leaning on the table, elbows on top and head in her palms, and staring at the crystal ball instead of the candle flame.

No matter how pretty the thing was, it could not keep her awake. The warmth of the room, the dark lighting, and the hypnotizing light coming through the crystal ball was too much. Feeling her eyes become heavier and heavier, becoming harder to keep open after every blink...

......

Hmm, yea. Off to dreamland for her.

Patroclus was brain dead, he had been starring at the crystal ball, but he had no question in his mind.

He shut his eyes, took a deep breath and looked again. At first he was taken back by the natural beauty of the orb, I picked well he thought to himself. Looking beyond he was able to discern two spectral images, he scribbled them on his parchment.

Nolan walked over to her desk and pulled a copy of the symbols seat close so he could read it. He placed it on her desk and ran his finger down it before pointing out the description to her. "There it is...it says that someone may be interfering with your relationship with someone else. Take a few minutes to ponder that and see if it applies to the question you asked," he said with a soft smile before moving on to the next child with a question.

Nolan wrinkled his eyebrows when he approached Destiny. Her eyes looked weird, almost like they were going to pop out of her head. When she asked her question however, it all made sense.

"No, no one has lost an eye...you can get a nasty headache from staring into the orb too long, or strain your eyes so much you need glasses or contacts," Case in point--himself. These glasses weren't just to make his outfit look better. "You can blink, you know," he added with a small chuckle. "No one can go 20 minutes without blinking! Just ignore it, like you naturally would. Wait a few minutes before starting again, though, to give your eyes a break," he told the Slytherin with a smile.

Uh oh. Slytherin down!

Biting his lip to keep from chuckling, Nolan walked over to Evelyn and tapped her shoulder. "Miss Flores? I need you to wake up and participate with the rest of the class!" he said, using the line he'd thought of in his head in case someone ever fell asleep on him. He didn't think that would happen this soon, however! He didn't WANT to be that mean teacher who resorted to drastic--or embarrassing--measures to wake a student up but, if she didn't budge, he just might have to.

As Nolan tried to stir the sleeping Evelyn, he turned to another student, who was asking about the symbols she saw. "Well, it's hard to say. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't...you won't know until it happens," he explained to her. "Certain events can change the outcome of things as well...nothing is set in stone in readings."

Alex nodded thinking about it, was someone interfering in her relatio- friendship with Zane? Well Selena was..who was being threatened with being withdrawned and entered in another school by her mother. So it did imply to them, She turned her paper back over and wrote it down.
