The prospect of getting to enter the creature nursery, was highly inviting to Patroclus. He loved animals and to see them as adorable babis was even better.
And the fact that Mrs. Lawson was going to assign each other an animal was the icing on the cake.

Mina slowly got up from her seat and followed after everyone. Samara was still peacefully sleeping in her arms. She was getting rather attached to the little kneazle now. Giving the little thing a pet, she held her close as she entered behind everyone.

Their own creature baby?

Looking down at Samara, she smiled and hoped she'd get something as adorable as the kneazle or maybe something like a crup. In fact, any creature, she's be glad with.

Miles had quickly grown tired of the belly rubs while Lady Lawson was teaching and had decided that he liked Arya's robes better, so he latched onto them and refused to let go.

So the two of them were in tug-of-war battle while Arya tried to pay attention to the class. Don't think that meant she didn't like the cruppie, she loved the little thing and was having just as much fun as he was. The robe meant little to her as she seemed to go through them like it was nothing and always needed a new pair.

When Lady Lawson said they could go into the Sanctuary, she stood up with Miles in one arm and attached to the other as she entered the hut. They would get another creature? Just the thought made her wondering brown eyes lite up. She wasn't sure what kind of creature she would get but she really didn't care so long as she got one.

Elli was so excited. She knew a lot of the girls would go towards the fluffy or cuter animals, so hopefully there wouldn't be much competition for some of the feistier creatures. She wanted something exotic, something she wouldn't see on the farm back home.

She prepared herself to dart to the Sanctuary and look at all the tiny babies. Maybe there were bigger babies, too. Ellie always wanted to care for a larger newborn, even one larger than herself.

Noir was so excited to see the creatures especially newborn one..slowly she get up from her chair and followed Professor Lawson..and Noir definitely can't wait to touch the creature baby..

"A creature is going to be assigned to each of us?" Pam thought excitedly. Little creatures are so adorable! "And we get to name them? Bonus!" She thought,with even more anticipation to enter the nursery.

This was why Ty signed up for this class. Never being allowed any pet when he was young the Grans had agreed to a pet if Ty could find the one that would fit their life style.

"How hard will it be for us to take care of these babies? Also if we did anything wrong would we cause any serious harm to the animals?" Alex asked, slightly concerned about the answer. He liked cute things, especially animals but he didn't really like looking after things that could get easily hurt. He got too worried about them and that worry led to him doing things even worse.

"Hermione followed the professor into the nursery. There certainly were quite number of baby creatures she thought. Hermione wondered what one she would be able to hold. "Professor, are there any creatures in particular that we should watch out for, because they tend to be more aggressive?" asked Hermione.

'Oh, Cool..' Dianna thought. Well at least they were quite done with the Q&A part. It almost drove her crazy thinking about all the things she knew about Magical Creatures.

The professor thought this question over for a few seconds before shaking her head. "None of them are really dangerous," she explained. "I only offer student involvement for creatures that hold a XXX rating or lower. Also, I make every effort to place them with students that seem a good match, experience wise."
"Yes Gold," she answered. "I'll explain more inside. Follow me."

The professor turned and stepped through the door. She stood alongside the wall and waited as everyone filed in behind her. Inside the brightly lit room, rows and rows of cages lined the wall. If you listened carefully, you could even hear the faint sounds of the creatures inside them.


"Class, you will not have a final exam this term for Care of Magical Creatures. Instead, each of you will have a chance to participate in this term-long assignment. As I'm sure you've figured out, I will be assigning each of you your own baby creature to take care of. You will need to name your creature and visit with them often. Your assignment will be to keep a journal detailing your creatures' progress to be turned into me at the end of the term. This assignment is optional but will count towards your final grade. Please raise your hand if you'd like to participate."

What a great long-term assignment!

He thought that that would be so much fun. Well, dealing with magical creatures had always been really fun and eventful. And writing on a journal wasn't that really crucial, he had done it before and had known the gist of journal writing.

Cedric raised his hand with a broad smile plastered upon his face and said, "I would love to have a baby creature Professor." As long as it wouldn't bite him then that would be so fine.

Arya followed another student into the room glancing around at the new creatures and wondering where her own was from last term. Gonna have to find that kneazle later. She was still fighting Miles for her robe sleeve albeit not as vigorously as she stood in the room.

They wouldn't be having a final this term? Awesome! Did they even have one last term? She pondered over this for a moment before remembering that they didn't and the reasons for no final. Quickly shaking the thought, she listened to the rest of what Lady Lawson had to say.

Everything that the professor had said sounded like fun and Arya didn't hesitate to raise her hand. Well.....technically she did. Miles still had a chunk of her robes in his mouth, but after a few quick and gentle pulls she had her arm free and HIGH in the air. Of course she wanted to participate. This is her favorite class.

Zommmg. This place looked really cool, and they got to have a baby creature to look after? Professor Lady Lawson was totally the best teacher ever in the history of teachers and more than one student would agree to that hehe
Oooh. It was for all term, that would be cool, and meant she wouldn't miss her babies from home. "I'd like to look after one Professor!" She smiled enthusiastically as she raised her hand.

Glancing at Destiny and Marie, the dark haired Slytherin stood up and followed the Professor in the creature nursery place, making sure once again she didn't touch anybody.

Well, to say it smelled wonderfully would have been a complete lie, but what did she expect? Not flowers, that was for sure. Hearing that they wouldn't be having a final in the class this term, but this was more like their final than anything, Evelyn smiled a little and looked around, still listening to the professor at the same time though.

Hearing the queue to raise their hand if they wanted to participate, Evelyn for a moment, hesitated, before raising her hand as well. "I would like to, Professor." she said quietly, staring at a particularly cute baby animal. What is was though, she completely forgot. Ack! It was on the tip of her brain too..

Cela put her hand up.

"Professor? I kind of have my hands full watching over Tibi and Cass? But I'd love to help out somehow, just maybe not a brand new baby creature." She chewed her lip thoughtfully. That part would happen soon enough anyway, she knew that much. Cassiopeia and Tiberius would see to that. Anyway, nobody could deny that two full grown abraxans weren't work enough.

It was a big ask, but it would be worth it. He had cared for animals before so he knew he could do it. He could, and He would!
Patroclus raised his arm, "I would be honoured!"

As Professor Female Lawson said they could name their creature, Destiny almost slipped and said the name. She had to cover her mouth to hold it in. It was just that good of a name where she wanted everyone to know it! She nodded towards the Professor, hands still clasped over her mouth.

GASP!

They were going INSIDE the nursery now! Standing up, she gave a little tug on the rope to get Marie to stand and follow inside. Destiny hoped Female Lawson wouldn't tell her she couldn't have a creature since she was, technically, ALREADY attached to one.

Marie was definitely a creature..

Tip-toeing into the nursery, so her squeaky shoes wouldn't wake the BABIES up, she stopped in front of one of the cages. It was a baby..something. She turned to ask the Professor what she was standing in front of, when she was distracted by the question asked. Well, duhhh, Destiny wanted to look after one of these BABIES! She raised her hand high and whispered, "I dooooo!"

Just..not a snake, heh.

Excited to see all the hands go up, Iliana pulled out a clipboard and a fresh piece of parchment and started jotting all the names down. "Feel free to look around. You'll see along the right side are Augureys, Clabberts, Crups, Kneazles. In the corner, Imps, Puffskeins, Streelers. In the hanging cages you'll find the Phoenixes and Jarveys. And in the back, Knarls and Nifflers."

"Start thinking of names. I'd like to have nameplates up before the end of class. "

"Not to worry, Celandine," she said. "I need your assistance elsewhere if you're able to help."

Pam looked around, fascinated by all the little creatures. She raised up her hand and said, "Please professor,I would very much like to participate!" She was very excited but at the same time, she was also worried about the task as she had no experience in taking care of little creatures.

Carter followed along into the nursery. He listened as Professor Lawson explained the assignment. He then raised his hand. "I want to Professor!" he said.

Hmm, this sounded kinda cool. Taking care of baby magical creatures. Psshyeah Fletcher was up for the task... even though he had no idea what any of these animals were.

The boy raised his hand. "I'd like to help!"

Alexandrie raised her hand, "I'll do it." She said firmly, handing baby creatures could be fun and it helped most were really cute.

Gold followed Professor Lawson inside, taking in her surroundings. Pretty well-kept and, quite importantly, clean. Gold noted this with bright eyes, which pretty much immediately landed on a BABEH! creature. The perfect babeh!creature, in fact.

The kind she would want to take care of. Branch off, extend her study. She already knew the usual babeh!creatures pretty well.

Soooo. She raised her hand.

"I would love to participate, professor!"
