He was literally going to puke. He was actually going to Artimancy. There was something wrong with the world or he was on the brink of death from a sugar overdose and he didn't know it yet. But he felt sick to his stomach walking into the class. Not even the comfort of his Spongebob bookbag could help. This was by far his worst subject and he avoided it like the plague but his mom would switch his ears if he skivved on anymore classes.

He walked down the isle till he found a seat and he slid in before looking around at everyone. He needed to find someone smart to sit next to. He was going to need all the help he could find for this class.

Jackie walks in. "Good Morning Professor Hadley," she said with a smile and picked up a textbook.
She started reading through the textbook randomly. "Oh this looks fun." She had taken Arithmancy last year and liked it. She was looking forward to this year.

She was a bit surprised to see people she knew there. She didn't realize arithmancy would be so popular amongst first years.

She wondered whether she should sit with any of her friends, and if so, who?

Jen noticed that Ellie was there and she got up from her seat and went over by her. "Hey, Ellie!" Jen whispered, not wanting Proffessor Hadley to hear.

Bestfriend Jen came by. (that kinda rhymed)

"Hey, there! I didn't know you'd be in arithmancy!" Ellie said cheerfully.

Edmond walked into the classroom and went to take a seat at the front of the class. He really hoped that this class wouldn't be as hard as some of his cousins had told him.

Despite having the feeling that she didn't really need to go back to total basics for Arithmancy, Nia had woken up bright and early and thus had decided to come for fun. Plus, it didn't hurt to revise old methods and refresh the memory - and the new Professor might have different expectations in terms of both the syllabus and methods.

Smiling at the new Professor friendily, Nia spotted Ty and grinned. Eager!boy was sitting right at the front. She slipped into a nearby seat, and set out her equipment. She was ready for some numbercrunching.

Ahh....Arthimancy...one of her in the middle classes. In Nikki's opinion it was fun learning what your birthday or your age, or even your name meant about you. But all the numbers could be a tad confusing at times.

Nikki walked into the classroom and smiled. "Hello Professor!" She said waving at the professor. Finding an empty seat towards the middle of classroom and sat down. Now where was Vanessa? Or one of her other friends???

city_girl_95 05-12-2010 10:00 PM

My dragged her feet along to the room but stopped before the door changed het expression picked up her timetable checked the name of the proffessor hello proffesor.... looked down at the sheet again Hadley I'm amy Samson, it's nice to meet you, manners never hurt and helped you get on the right side of people, spotting Simon she made her way over to him and sat down in the empty chair hey she said in a blasé tone she still had the feeling she would muck this all up and end up pulling another sickie

Santi stepped in. Arthimancy. Interesting. He had never been taught it before, but it looked as though it may be up his alley, time to see. Many students were already filling the seats, though none that he recognized, so he decided to sit in an empty area. It was much more interesting to watch who would sit near him than sit in an area already full.

The professor was watching as the students filed in with a book placed beside her. Giving a slight nod to her he sat down.

Arithmancy. Lori's FAVOURITE subject. She liked numbers, some of them were real pretty and stuff. Heh.

Giving the PRETTY-NAMED Professor a big grin, as Lori entered the room, and then a wave, she took a seat -- near Curls. Hehe. His hair was nice and pretty curly today. How pretty.

Oliver watched Lori as she made her way into the classroom clearly amused by how perky she seemed today. He was a little surprised when she chose a seat close to him but he turned and smiled warmly at the shoe wielding puff nonetheless. “Somebody seems cheerful today.” He commented. “Did daddy owl you a new pair of shoes this morning or something?” Snort. Oh he was funneh. Hehehe!

Kenna walked into the Arithmancy room. Greeting the Professor as she walked in The desks were filled out in a circle, and groups of people were forming already. Know one she knew, at first glance.

She decided to sit next to a boy, who looked about her age. There was no one sitting around him, and to be honest he looked a bit lonely, all there by himself. After a moment of sitting down, organizing belongings, she decided to make the first move. "Hello, I'm Kenna." She smiled at him warmly.

Justin walked into the classroom ready for yet another lesson. This should be interesting. He saw no-one he knew there and sat in the first empty seat he came to and sat in it. He sat quietly waiting for someone to come and talk to him, if they dared to.

Loki 05-12-2010 10:53 PM

Sitting in the back of the class Mat was waiting for the lesson to start. Since he didn't see anybody he knew, he decided to start scribing thing on a parchment. Circles of all different shapes and size in the right corner. Still thinking it was ridiculous for him to be here since this was his worst subject he also knew he had nothing better to do. So why not been here and TRY to learn something.

Santi watched as the petite girl came in and having scanned the room, sat beside him. She looked to be quite young, though was quite beautiful even through her pre-teen eyes. He smiled as he watched her fiddle with her belongings, apparently liking to have things quite orderly, compared to him who had come with naught but a quill and parchment which he had yet to take out. Talking softly in the quiet room he responded, "Nice to meet you Kenna. Santi Xu," he introduced with a slight nod.

Melanie slipped into the classroom, doing a quick scan of the room to find she wasn't anyway near one of the oldest students in the classroom. She'd actually been a little worried about that. The professor had specified on the notice it was for students of all ages, though, and clearly she was not the only one that needed to brush up on her Arithmancy skills.

The girl nodded politely in greeting as a way of acknowledging the new Professor as she entered. Then she flopped into a seat near the front of the classroom, at the edge of the semicircle, dropping her bag near her feet. Melanie slouched in her seat a little, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. She waited for the lesson to begin.

Now that she looked at him, she realized he looked a lot older that he was from far away. A lot taller too. He smiled and talked softly to her. Santi, a very original name, she thought to herself.

"Well, its nice to meet you Santi." She smiled as she half whispered back to him. "Are you good with Arithmancy? I'm scared I'm going to be awful." She nervously laughed. "Even at my muggle school, I was awful with numbers." She smiled again. She hoped she wasn't talking to much, she didn't want to frighten him.

"No idea," he whispered nonchalantly with a shrug, "We'll find out." Catching her nervous laugh and feeling in more of a generous mood giving the interesting first day, he added as he smiled into her blue eyes, "I'm sure you'll be fine." Whether or not that was true didn't matter. School was only important to an extent, and really, you didn't need to surpass everyone in every class.

He was trying to gauge her, but only found the intimidation of a first year. We'll see what happens, Santi thought with personal smile.

Chase walked into the Arithmancy classroom. She ast down in the nearest seat to her and pulled out her notebook. This was going to be a long lesson.

Katie ignored the slight chatter that met her ears as she turned the corner into the Arithmancy classroom, smiling sweetly to the Professor as she greeted, "Hello Professor." She wasn't exactily looking forward to class, and not because Professor Shackleton-Clark no longer taught it, but because it wasn't her best subject when it came to the basics - if she had to write out her own full name and add numbers to every single letter. It was nearly impossible. Give her someone elses name and she would happily figure out the problem. But nooooo.. she would make the best of it, of course.

Her dark eyes scanned the room and remaining seats, it wasn't but a moment until she spotted an empty desk beside William. Murmuring a quick, "Hey Will." as she slid into her chair, the Hufflepuff set her bag at her feet and pulled her Arithmancy Journal and self-inking quill (because she had no patience for ink pots and the mess they caused when spilled, or even having to continually dip the darned quill in to keep writing) out and set them on her desktop, placing her chin in her hands. Now it was time to wait.

Kenna smiled back to him. Having the boy here, reassuring her had taken away some of her anxiety. He's really nice, I'm glad he's in this class. She smiled to herself. She looked around the room, seeing what was going on, then she turned back to him.

"Whats your favorite part of Hogwarts?" She asked, he seemed like he would know quite a bit about it, seeing he had been here give or take a few years.

Santi glanced over at the professor in the silent room, wondering if they were talking too much. He didn't want to be told off ... well at least, not yet. He decided that he would see what happens when being polite so continued to converse with Kenna anyway.

"I would say the grounds, though I haven't been many places yet. Transferred here this year," he added in explanation.

I'm Trixie Malfoy" she declared with her charming Veela smile. She spotted her younger cousin Emma in the corner. "Hey Em" she grinned at her but decided that she probably shouldn't go over to her seeing as there was a load of younger years around. So she sat down in the corner in one of the seats and waited for the lesson to start tapping her Quill. She was bored already and the lesson hadn't even started yet.

Emma was glad to be sitting next to Maddie and Etoile, she couldn't wait for class to start. She smiled and waved to her cousin, "Hey Trixie!" beamed Emma. She did this quickly because she didn't want to lose any house points for talking.

Libriana walked into the classroom and smiled. She took out her book and sat down in a seat by the door.

Destiny 05-13-2010 12:23 AM

Heh.

Arithmancy.

Destiny really had no feelings whatsoever for this subject..you know, if you can have feelings for a subject. The only reason she took this class was because Evelyn seemed to be good at it, and she could totally help Destiny when she needed it. Entering the classroom, she was relieved to see a new Professor and not that dude that was totally anti-Slytherin from last term. He was an angry man, that was for sure. "Hellooooo Professor!" she said giving her a big small wave and taking a seat next to Evelyn.

Arithmancy. Heh.

The fourth year chose to sit away from everyone else, leaving space for her friends if they were going to come to the class.

Urgh. Numbers. How he hated them so. He looked around to see if anyone he knows had shown up. Maybe he could find someone that could make this class more bearable.

Spotting Leilani Jimbo was about to walk over and sit beside her when he realized she was sitting at the front...and looked very excited.
:erm: Right. She liked Arithmancy. Urgh. Alright, mission change.
Find somebody that won't gush about numbers.

Ooh. Look. There's Monty. Haha. He hadn't seen her since the train. That needed to change. He'd been spending more time with Leilani than anyone. He walked over to her and sat RIGHT beside her
"Hullo, Monty. Still producing butterflies?" He grinned at her and wondered if she liked Arithmancy. Hopefully not.
