Layla smiled with relief, she wanted a fresh start too, "Sounds good to me. I'm Layla Amorina."

"I'm guessing you already know my last name" Elizabeth joked as she put her wand in her pocket and her letter in her drawer.

"Yeah, I suppose I do," she said with a strange smile, "So, you're a fifth year?" Layla said, in an attempt to make some sort of conversation.

Yeah, I have big ambitions for when I leave Hogwart's" Elizabeth replied. Karisma jumped on her knee and curled up in her lap.

"Specifically?" she asked, wondering exactly what she had in mind.

"Lets just say the Dark Arts will come in handy" Elizabeth answered. Elizabeth shut it, you're giving out too much information AGAIN! Elizabeth thought to herself.

"Vauge much?" she laughed. "I'm so jealous of the training you must have! Sure, my parents have trained me since I could wave a wand, but it must be nothing compared to all you know!" Layla said with a shake of her head, truly jealous of Liz. Liz? Since when is she LIZ to you? Whatever.

"I know quite a lot, but most of what I know is stuff he got from the potions master when he was a student here" Elizabeth replied. "You know you can call me Lizzie if you want, doesn't really matter to me, they both work" Elizabeth explained.

"Really?" she brightened, "You know, I never really thought of it this way before, Lizzie, but, once, he was just a student here too. With a little ambition, we could be as great as him! Well, maybe not as great, but we could be pretty good!" she said with a small laugh.

"He's a role model to me, and an amazing cousin might I add. Maybe we have more in common than I thought we would have" Elizabeth replied. She seemed rather more interested in Layla than she thought she would be. This was going to be the start of a great friendship.

"Maybe we do, after all," Layla said with a smile, "Hey, want to go to Hogsmeade? I'd love some maple fudge!" Layla just loooooved maple fudge! She stood up quickly, grabbed her money bag and was literally bouncing with excitement. You would think so much maple fudge over the years would have ruined her slim figure by now...

"Yeah sure" Elizabeth replied as she put Karisma back in her cat box and picked up her money. She was glad she had found someone she could confide in.

Violet came into the dorm and hopped on her bed she got another letter from her sisters:
Dear Violet,
Your friends do seem cool. I can't believe you almost got a detention! I'm glad you didn't though i can't believe that girl was so nosy! She seems rude. Well tell me more about your life there.

Nikki was lying on her stomach, on top of her bed, writing a letter. She wanted written to her father since she had arrived at Hogwarts, and she had promised that she would. Setting her quill down, Nikki reread what she had written down so far. She sighed and flipped over so she was laying on her back and began to scratch her kitten Eclipse.

Thalia was bored. She felt like going to talk to Parker about her problems. Then they'd end up arguing and everything would be better. She had her song book out and was thinking. Nothing more came to mind of what to write. She hopped off her bed and dared to visit the 5th year dorm. She walked in and looked at a girl on her bed. Thalia entered farther in. "Hello," she smiled. "I'm bored and thought I'd try to find someone to talk to. Do you mind?" she asked her.

Nikki looked away from her letter as the door opened up. She looked over at it and saw a younger girl standing there. Nikki sat up and folded her letter. "No, it's fine," She said as she placed the letter on her nightstand. "I'm Nicolette Finn. Nikki for short." She said introducing herself. "And you are?" She asked raising an eyebrow. She looked around Shana's age. If the girl was friends with Shana, she could get out right now.

"Nice to meet you Nikki," Thalia smiled, taking another step in and shutting the door. The place looked familiar to her dorm. "I'm Thalia Munroe. Oh fourth year," she added. "And a transfer from Beaxbatons," she explained. If only she could find a good way to con people into her bidding. Well she knew blackmailing ways. That was a random thought. But she had been thinking of her annoying Slytherin friend. Parker. "So, what have you been up to?" she asked breaking the awkward silence.

"Nice to meet you to Thalia." Nikki said as she crossed her leg indian style. A fourth year. How come everyone she met was younger than her? She barely knew any older students. How pathetic was she? Wait, she was from Beaxbatons? "Oh, I was a transfer student in my fourth year as well. I came from Moretti's school for Witches." Nikki explained. "What's it like at Beaxbatons?" She asked as she picked Eclipse up and set him down in her lap.

Thalia walked forward and took a seat at the edge of the bed next to Nikki's. "Boring. Girlie. A place where girls' who think they're princesses go," she explained to her. The airheads she had met. The ones who thought that it was essential to have make up everywhere they went. Thalia barely even wore eye shadow. "I was forced. I have five brothers' and all of them have gone here. Then my mother decides to send me to that school and I can't argue." Her mum meant what she said and nothing changed her mind. "Luckily I got my dad to side with me. So here I am," she told her. A place she wish that she could have started school.

"Moretti's was the same." Nikki said sighing. She began to scratch Eclipse's belly and the kitten purred quietly. "I was quite glad when my dad told me I would be attending Hogwarts instead." Thank you Kimmy. Because of her annoying cousin, Nikki had got to switch schools. She and Kimmy got into a duel at home, and her father and uncle decided that one of girls would have to leave. Nikki had volunteered to leave.

Five brothers? "You have five brothers? Do you have any sisters?" Nikki asked curiously. "I'm any only child, but my aunts, uncles, cousins, and my family in one house." She added. Nikki couldn't stand living with Kimmy, just think what it was like having five brothers!

"Ha ha, glad I have someone who agrees," she smiled with a laugh. She thought her brothers' had influenced her father. "Yes, I have five brothers," she nodded with a sigh. "No sisters just brothers. It's pretty crazy. You should see the family at Christmas. My brothers are insane." Especially Willie and Ethan. "Wow, sounds like a full house," she nodded at her comment. "I have a huge family too. My brother's well the oldest is getting married, then there's my sixth year Ravenclaw brother, the fifth year twins, Ethan and Louis, a Slytherin and Gryffindor, me, and my little brother Willie whose ten," she explained with a smile and roll of her eyes.

Nikki chuckled and nodded her head. She didn't have any sisters? Wow that must suck. Even though Nikki didn't have any siblings, her cousins were basically her brothers and sisters not including Kimmy. "It is a full house," Nikki said nodding her head. "But we have a pretty big house." She added pointing at a photograph of her house. "There are seven of us. There's moi, Kimmy, and Jamie. All three of us are in our fifth year. Then there Alessia and Antonio who are five. And then Samantha and James who are both married."

Elizabeth ran into the dorm and laid on her bed. She had recieved good and bad new from her cousin. The attacks were getting more and more easier, but the Death Eaters were close to being caught and locked up in Azkaban again. She read the letter she had recieved from her uncle again. She read:

Dear Elizabeth
I have bad new for you, but good news comes along with it. We have almost cleared out the Ministry so I am close to reaching my goal, once I have reached it, you can come out of Hogwart's and come and work with me. I can teach you many things, not that you won't already know half of it. Unfortunately, the Death Eater's are close to being locked away again, that's where you come in. I need you to try and distracte Scrimgore and Fudge, that way we can clear out the rest without a problem. I know you can do it, I have faith in you.

Elizabeth set the letter in the drawer beside her bed and sat thinking about what her cousin had asked her to do. It would take a lot of courage and a cunning student to do such a thing, but Elizabeth wanted to help her cousin so she did it. She just needed a plan to do it.

Marie put the flowers Evan gave her on the table next to her bed. Sitting on her bed staring at the flowers she thought about how happy she had been when he gave them to her. She had been having a bad day but Evan knew how to make her feel better. Now all her happiness was gone, again. Why did she have to give him that hug? Everything was great until that moment when he stopped talking to her.
Laying down to take a nap she hopes that things will be better when she wakes up. Feeling a tear start to run down her face she cries herself to sleep while staring at the flowers that had earlier made her so happy.

after going to the magnificent library, Nella walked though the girls dormitory. the book in her hand,she felt sort of lighthearted, almost happy. she went to her bed lied on it, and started reading it silently without a glance at the girls around. Hogwarts, A History, was a very nice book, she thought it might be boring, but no way, it is really nice.
