"Yeah actually" said Violet grabbing a secret box out of her bag and getting it

Layla ran into the dormitory looking for some new friends. Ones that wouldn't betray her for mudbloods.

"Hey, is that an invisibility cloak?" Okay, so maybe second years weren't going to be her new best friends, but they were obviously going on an adventure and she needed a distraction.

Wow. Gotta love Violet. "Okay we need a plan, how long are we gonna be there for and how are we gonna avoid the dog?" yeah she was asking alot of questions, but this is stuff they need to know.

Layla refused to be ignored. "Uh, I know how to get past the dog," she offered.

"Mr Constantine's dog?" Nicoletta asked.

"Yup. That pooch is a sucker for a good violin piece. Falls asleep straightaway. And I just happen to know an excellent violin player," Layla replied, walking over to the trunk at the foot of her bed and pulling out her violin case. She took it out and started playing a lullaby, "It's his favorite," she said with a grin.

"Reeeeally?" she asked. Hmm, if we get past the dog we might be able to see a few thestrals. On the other hand, she might be lying and we could get detention. "If you can distract him, then we might be able to get into the forest. We could take turns playing and entering the forest, I know how to play pretty well. You're gonna have to prove he actually falls asleap though."

"Ooo, that's too bad" Elizabeth said. She seemed to be sounding more shifty by the sentence. Elizabeth, shut it now otherwise you'll get found out Elizabeth thought to herself. She knew she had to keep her intentions quiet.

"Hey Elizabeth." Nicoletta said absentmindedly.

"We might be able to all fit under at once. Where's the fun in going alone?" she said. Layla sensed that the girl didn't trust her. "If you like, I'll walk down now and start playing. You can watch me through the window and ensure that the dog does indeed fall asleep."

"No and i don't think i was talking to you" said Violet
"Nicoletta Nicoletta Nicoletta do you know me at all?" asked Violet she lazily flicked her wand and a monkey appeared

Ah ha! There's the Violet I know and love! Genious! "You are excedingly brilliant my friend. Let's hope Constantine's left by now."

"Hi Nicoletta" Elizabeth said calmly noticing that Violet was nearby and sounding rather excited about something. "Hi Violet" Elizabeth added.

"Well, then. I guess you won't be needing my services. Good luck getting past the dog. I bid you adieu," Layla began to walk away but she stopped and turned again, "And don't even think about trying to steal my violin. It is charmed to only be opened my my hand. Hrmph." Layla turned again. She seriously needed a distraction. Maybe she could go confound Gryffies... She was almost to the door now.

"Yeah are you ready?" asked Violet excitedly
"Hey Elizabeth" said Violet
Violet rolled her eyes "Why would i want to steal your violin?" said Violet

Nikki walked into the girls dormitory rolling her eyes. Shana was still childish. Nikki hated being around her. Yelling at Shana wasn't worth her time, and she wasn't going to hand out with Blake if Shana was around. Walking over to her bed, Nikki took her wand out. It was time to do her Transfiguration homework. Okay lets start with some....flowers!

"Orchideous!" She said. The same orange tulips she had conjured in class came out. She smiled, another few flowers wouldn't hurt. "Orchideous." She said pointing at the window sill again. This time red poppies appeared. There, that was nice.

Now time for the butterflies! "Papilio!" She said. Her usual purple butterflies appeared. Nikki said the incantation two more times, conjuring up blue butterflies and some orange ones. "There, the really livens up the place doesn't it." Nikki said looking at Eclipse.

"Everyone knows that the only way to get past a guard dog is to play it a lullaby on a goblin-made instrument. Normally, I wouldn't tell you, but I don't want three pureblood deaths on my hands."

Violet raised her eyebrows she liked purebloods huh "Ok then" said Violet she flicked her wand and a shiny violen appeared

"Excuse me, I believe I said goblin-made. You can't conjure up one of those, they must be bought, fair and square from an actual goblin," she said the last word slowly and deliberately. These 2nd years never listen.

Elizabeth didn't want to disturb Violet while she appeared to be having a slight disagreement with the other girl. Elizabeth had only met a few people so far and didn't know the girl Violet was talking to. "I'll just leave you two to continue your disagreement then" Elizabeth replied backing up slowly making sure she wasn't involoved in the discussion.And I thought I was bad Elizabeth thought to herself.

Violet flicked her wand and the violin disappeared who does this girl think she is? thought Violet "Nicoletta do you have a goblin made violin by any chance?"

"I THINK I'm Layla Amorina, daughter of Alan and Trania Amorina. I'm sure you've heard of their... work with our Dark Lord?" she said with confidence and pride, "And even if Nicoletta had one, good luck figuring out the lullaby. So, once more, I bid you adieu." she turned towards the door yet again.

Elizabeth suddenly took interest in the girl she now thought she'd heard the name of and what she was saying. "You know the Dark Lord?" Elizabeth suddenly blurted out uncontrollably.

"Alright then so leave already!" Nicoletta said. "And we'll be on our way!" she turned to Violet and whispered, "I don't have a goblin made violin but mum might've packed my flute. It'll probobly be easier to carry anyway."

did this girl read minds? thought Violet "Whatever I'm sure you've heard of my parents work with the dark lord too" said Violet this girl was really getting on her nerves now

Violet turned to Nicoletta "Ok lets go" said Violet
