 The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above. Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw! | |

Isabella walked through the portrait hole, that had opened for her, and into the common room. She looked around seeing students milling everywhere, and lots of blue. She jostled her book under her arm and walked over to a free table by the window, a good view outwards. She stared out into the grounds for a few minutes,at the students also out there, and the pure countryside. She sighed and settled back into her seat and opened her book.
