Avery walked past the compartments. She didn't know anyone. She wished she did. Most the people she knew, she couldn't find. Avery's orange hair fell into her face. Her colored contacts made her eyes hazel. She wore a yellow babydoll top with a cropped blazer over it and her straight legged jeans with her yellow converses.

It was time for Reese's surprise. And Torin couldn't wait to see her reaction to the special present as she let her drag him into an empty compartment. It was a good thing that they had found one, because it would have been pretty bad if this was done around people.

He wanted it to be a real surprise.

He headed to a seat while she closed the door, and set the box down. "I have a present for you. But first I want to finish our conversation from before." Since they had been interrupted in the Prefects compartment by the introductions.

He waited for her to join him.

Reese walked over to the compartment seat across from Torin and sat down. She listened closely as the Hufflepuff explained he had a present for her, but first to finish what they had been talking about in the Prefects' Compartment. Oh, right. She leaned back into her seat and tried to remember what was the last thing Torin had mentioned to her before they had to introduce themselves...

It took her a little while, but she finally remembered what she was going to tell Torin. "I understand you dating Goldilocks and her being mad," she told him. "But, if you two aren't ready, I guess there's nothing else I can do or say." She shrugged her shoulder, then turned her attention towards the window. "What? Are you blaming ME?" She questioned.

Rue Everdeen sighed as she sat alone in a compartment on the Hogwarts express. Her first year at Hogwarts and STILL no friends? What kind of year would this turn out to be? With Chocolate Frog in hand, she bit down hard as the squirming candy tried to jump out of her hand. All of her cousins were sitting with their friends- She took out Hogwarts, A History and started to read. It’s good to try to know as much as possible about your new school, right? But Rue couldn’t help but think, maybe she could find at least ONE friend this year….

Tori entered the compartment where she had left Damon earlier."Hey, just came to get something." she said quietly, not wanting to disturb him from his reading. She quietly reached into her trunk and grabbed a big book that was wrapped in blue velvet casing. Just as she came in, she left, quietly.

Cadence knocked on the door of a girl who sat alone in a compartment reading a book. Then she slid the door open. "Hi! I'm Cadence! Mind if I join you?"

For a moment, he figured that Reese had forgotten where they had left of in their conversation. So he was relieved when she finally replied to him. Though he wasn't pleased with what she said.

"I'm not blaming YOU. Or well, not just you. But you people were very unfair to her. But fortunately things are better now." After she had dumped him. Why couldn't it have happened before? Then they could have still been together.

Avery sat in a compartment alone. Her make-up was slightly dark but it wasn't gothic. It was more like rockstar. Her lips were ruby red and her skin was ivory. Tha contrast was amazing.

Avery wished someone would sit with her. She hardly had any friends. Only a few. And most of them were too busy talking to others that they left her out. forgetting about her. Maybe someone would come up and talk to her. Maybe even sit with her and become her friend.

Cadence looked around while she waited for the girl to respond to her request to join her, and she spotted another older-looking girl sitting alone. And waved at her, trying to get her attention. "Hey! Do you want to come join us?"

Sigh. Fine. He wouldn't say she'd told him to do it again. Even though she totally had. TOTALLY. He remembered what she had said.

"Of course you didn't," Raiden mumbled, moving his gaze elsewhere. He could feel her looking at him. Like she wanted something. Well, she'd just have to explain what she wanted or else she wasn't going to get it. THAT WAS HOW THE NOSE!KISS HAD HAPPENED.

Guh. GUH. WHAT DID SHE WANT. "What?"

It was easier to just... look at the necklace that Cela was holding up. The very, very expensive looking necklace. Very shiiiiiny.

Sarah smiled. "Well I'm sure that your brother will be already." Sarah said cheerfully. "But where are your Mother and Father if he has to stay at home with just his Aunt?"

"Not just me," Reese repeated. "I see. And, yes, fortunately things are better now." Honestly, she knew she shouldn't have hated Brody from the beginning, but with the love potion thing, it just sort of happened. If the love potion thing didn't happen, there might have been a chance Brody and Reese would have been friends from the very beginning. "I'm sorry that I was mean to her," she added.

Now... "Discussion over. Present time!" She exclaimed with a grin.

"You should be sorry," he replied simply before picking up the box and handing it to her.

"Enjoy your gift." This was going to be fun.

Reese rolled her eyes, but did not reply to Torin's first comment. But, when he 'enjoy your gift', she reached out and grabbed the box from him hands. She wanted to shake the box soooo badly to see if she could tell what was inside it, but she was kind of scared that there might be another pgymy puff in it and she didn't want to get it dizzy or anything. So, instead, she closed her eyes and opened the top of the box.

"I wonder....EEEEEEEEEEEEP!" Once she opened her eyes and saw the HUGE tarantula in the box, she pushed it off her lap onto the floor and quickly pulled her feet up on to the seat. She began to deep breathe as she searched the floor to see where the spider had went.

"Torin KANE! Get that thing away from me," she exclaimed as her eyes started to water up.

Her biggest fear were spiders and hadn't Torin KNOWN THAT?!

Her eyes were still on the necklace so the hair sniffing went mostly unperceived. Plus, it wasn't extraordinarily out of the ordinary anymore. Plymouth actually nommed her hair. Nommed. Ate. Whichever. "It's pretty, yes," she answered, only glancing sideways at her Hufflepuff friend to...frown.

Odd Little Man. "Is there something on my hair?" Maybe there WAS. Maybe Garret wiped his SNOT on her hair.

O:!! GARRET CROCKER!

"She's a lady, Raiden," repeated Daphne, arching them over at her Slytherin-boy-friend. "You'd do well not to imply such things." Merlin. Giggle. Raiden was dating a little bott. GIGGLE.

And bye-bye necklace. Daphne watched it for a bit before turning her attention--elsewhere--towards the window. The conversation got boring for a bit there.

I.E. It wasn't including her soo...she was just going to watch the hills pass by now.

He watched eagerly as she went to open the box, but her reaction.. he had never expected her to react that badly.

He had figured that she would see the thing and screech and be a little creeped out and then be okay with it. But it looked like she was actually crying now.

And the box had been tossed to the ground and the tarantula was free now. "Reese, calm down! It's just a spider."

"Sure why not?", Avery smiled. "I'm Avery Isabella Grace"

She had a necklace with one butterfly on it that worked that way.

"I know who Robert is," Neptune rolled her eyes at ... Missy Toussaint. Duh. Neptune knew lots of THINGS. Like that Ellsworth had danced with Robert. Blah blah. He never came to SEE Ellsworth, and by extension, NEPTUNE, so... Dismissed! Dismissed! Neptune actually waved her hand at her own thoughts.

"No thank you. I can see it's very pretty from here."

Neptune's face contorted into one that made her look JUST like her older sister. That THINKING, calculating, about-to-say-something-she-shouldn't face. "No offense to you, because you seem accomplished and well-to-do enough, but if YOU can charm my bracelet, then I'm MORE than sure that I'll be quite capable of doing it myself." In other words, no, she wanted her bracelet just as her Raaaaaaiden given it to her. And she totally COULD figure out how to do it on her own. And would.

"Nothing!" Neptune singy-sang at Raiden, then naturally, GIGGLED about it. She pinched the Butterfly deemed Raiden between her thumb and forefinger. She made it flutter around his face and then kiss HIS nose.

Neptune wiggled a butterfly at the girl with the hostile butler. "Daphne." Hmm. She NODDED one BIG nod - She TOTALLY agreed. Neptune wiggled her fingers at the girl, the butterflies included. "You can be my friend."

"Nice to meet you, Avery! I'm Cadence! Are you excited to go back to Hogwarts?" Cadence said, smiling graciously at Avery from the doorway to the compartment.

With a cheerful little shrug, Celandine carefully stowed her necklace away in its case and then looked up at Neptune in surprise.

"If you think you can, then I hope you can." She answered with completely transparent honesty. "But if you need anything you just let me know okay? I'm really good with my wand." True. Truth. She glanced around at the other occupants of the compartment, they all knew this.

"Rai-rai?" Cela peeked at the Slytherin boy, her nose wrinkling slightly, "When do you suppose we are supposed to go do prefect stuff in that prefect only compartment?"

"Yeah. It's accually my first year here I went to Bauxbatons before", Avery said. "I'll be in my sixth year, how about you?"

"Oh!" Cadence said in surprise. "Well, welcome to Hogwarts! I'm in my third year, but I should be a fourth year. I wasn't able to attend Hogwarts for two years because of some... things But I'm here now! So, what house do you want to be in? I'm in Hufflepuff." she finished proudly.

Chris nodded in confirmation of her question. "Really? That sounds like a nice area... our school gets cold at times- one of those older buildings, you know? But San Francisco..." he grinned at the thought of sunny California. "I am an American... my Mom got transferred here for work, so I'm basically checking out the school before my sister transfers here next year," he explained.

"Yes, that's what I was told," he said with a sheepish smile. "And thanks for the offer, I'm sure I'll need a LOT of help!" he said with a laugh. Slytherin was still a foreign name to him, and he made a face. "Slytherin? Is that a club?" he asked. There was so much he needed to catch up on.

"Well, thank you for that," Chris replied with a laugh. "Pleasure to meet you Alex... if I learn this well enough, maybe I'll teach you to juggle as well," he added with a quick wink. "Now, where is that other ball..." he said, looking around. Not seeing any sign of it, he sighed and took out his wand. "Accio!" he said quietly and suddenly the ball came zooming out from somewhere behind him. "Alright, that's all three!" he said with a grin as he pocketed them again.

Well. It seemed as if he was back in adjustment mode, in regards to Neptune. He hadn't even flinched when she poked him in the nose with the butterfly. However, he was all... uncomfortable in the seat. In what would probably be a vain attempt to make himself more comfortable, he pulled his arm out from between himself and Neptune and stretched it across the back of the seat. It didn't feel nice to keep his arm all bent up and stuff, so actually this was quite a bit better.

The... lady comments. Sigh. She was a girl, alright.

"Uhm... I don't really know," Raiden said, looking at Cela before looking out the door as if he expected other people with prefect badges to suddenly appear there. "They didn't say anything about it before we got on the train, and... well I wasn't prefect at the start of last term, so I didn't have to do anything."

They weren't supposed to be there already, were they? Hopefully not. Raiden... didn't want to get up. Neptune would be really unhappy with him and POUT.

"I'm in Hufflepuff", Avery smiled.
