Popping from the occupied compartment, Chaucer practically ululated a battle cry before tossing out a handful at Kellen and the unsuspecting girl.

"Ah la! Sorry, sorry! But now I suppose you want to take revenge?" Chaucer gave a rictus grin that did little for his features. He jumped back out into the hallway, back to a wall so as not to be taken out from behind. If online gaming had taught him anything it was to a) never camp and b) never leave oneself open for a rear assault.

Oh, and he supposed there was something in classical literature that pertained to that as well...

Anya noticed the handful of earplugs offered to her. With a small chuckle she happily accepted.
"I would love to join." She said to the boy in front of her, "but i can't say that i have ever been in an earplug battle before..." She then took one of the small pieces of foam from her hand and tossed it at him directly hitting him in the face.
"i imagine you play something like that?" she said barley able to keep her laughter supressed.

Lorcan rolled his eyes. "I'm just saying I don't see the point of pranking someone where we'll probably get caught by a prefect." he said mildly. He could tell that she was getting annoyed with him, but he didn't care. He was putting his foot down. Oh yes he was.

He grinned at her when she smiled and pulled her back into a hug. "I've missed this, d'you know what I mean?"

Damien stoped what he was doing and watched the exchange. He grinned as the new girl hit Kellen in the face. She was deffinately ok in his books. Welcome to the battle, I'm Damien. he said, nodding his head in greeting. Shall the battle continue then? he asked Kellen.

The small fizzy haired girl walked down the hallways peeking into the compartments to see if she could Emily. So far she the only person she had meet in Diagon Alley. Nervously yet keeping her posture she walked d own the halls. She was a dignified girl, small but dignified. Her dark greens eyes looked around, surely she wasn't the only first year around.

Blah blah blah... typical as ever... "Yeah, okay. But I can't be held responsible for my actions once we get to school. I have a lot of pent up pranking to do. Grandmother wasn't nearly enough" Lexi said with a mischevious grin.

Lexi returned his hug and said, "Yeah, I do know. I really do." THat was it, nothing more needed to be said.

Kellen scrunched up his face as the earplug bounced off the bridge of his nose, "Something like that, yes."


"It shall indeed. First order of business..." Kellen took his remaining earplugs and threw them at Chaucer's head, "That's for ducking out, you coward!"

" 'Course it is."

"Oh DAPHNE! I remember HER! She tried to get her butler to ATTACK me!" Neptune excitedly recalled. With a name like Daphne forget. "And I told Randal ALL about it. I wonder if her butler heard from mine? I forgot ALL about that after I told Randal. Huh!" Neptune's bouncing paused while she seriously considered what Randal would have done about her being THREATENED.

Hm. No matter. With a little shrug, she dismissed the whole scenario. No butlers at Hogwarts, apparently. And CLEARLY Raiden was going to watching out for herrrrrrrrr. Forever and always!

The other name rung a bell in Neptune's mind too. Cela.... something. Again, though, no matter. "And which of them is BETTER?"

At this point Allison was felt relaxed enough Arya not to care about Arya taking off her shoes. On the contrary it tempted Allison to do so herself. Sitting across from Arya, Allison saw Perseus's attempt to climb up her head and laughed.

Standing up Allison stretched and fixed her trunk more properly, "I don't mind you opening the window a bit. But you said just a crack! Arya, I dun wanna freeze to death, 'kay?"

Hearing the compartment doors open Allison guessed who was at their doors. Hands in fists and at her waist Allison turned and with a very forced frown that was escaping into a smile Allison said, "Now where have you all been? Tut tut tut, here we were thinking the worst!"

The minute Anastasia sat down, Allison forgot her angry little gig and clapped her hands, "Ohhh! Anastasia is this Tegan, the kitten you talked about?" Clapping her hands continuously and now jumping a bit Allison let out a bubbly laugh "Just as cute as Perseus. Is it a girl or boy?"

As Arya introduced the new girl Allison uuu'd and ahhh'd Tegan. "You all know that we might have to number you all, right? Emily 1 and Emily 2. Or...Emily and Em. Orrrr Ememimimi and Emily. Wait Ememimimi is too long,, that would ruin the purpose."

Right when Allison was about to start ranting about her great idea on the name and how she managed to complicate the name more Allison caught sight of the book in Anastasia'a arms. Being a book worm herself Allison sat across from the girls and put her feet underneath her. Barely registering what Emily said Allison nodded while still looking at the book, "Ah, I dun mind more people. A friend of a friend becomes a friend.."

"Thank you, I'm Anya" she said in reply to Damien. Seeing the other two re-start the battle, she went on to throw on at the boy she had just introduced herself to. As good a greeting as any she thought...

Kate had just finished scarfing down a handful of sweets and some water, and decided she should find out what trouble the boys had gotten into in the last few minutes. When she caught sight of them, she just shook her head chuckling. She watched Chaucer jump back out of a compartment and fire a bunch of earplugs, and Kellen recruit another girl. "Finally, another girl who wants to play!" She exclaimed. "With good aim it seems! I'm Kate by the way. Kate walked over to Kellen and the new girl and held out her hand.

Chaucer saw a small girl out of the corner of his eye and winced. Of all the train cars... I pray she doesn't recognize me. Lord, why must I be so continuously misunderstood?

The ear plugs rained down over Chaucer's hair, effectively coating him in unappealing grey bits of foam. Unimpressed, Chaucer dug into his pocket: "It was a tactful retreat and as for duels "fear, not courage, is it's proper source!" Though he said this triumphantly, his visage lost colour when he scrounged up nothing beyond his old pocket watch and a 3-week old mint.

Blast.

His head spun around as he attempted to find a pile on the floor or anywhere!

Katherine stood behind Emily and gave everyone a small smile. "Hullo" she said shyle taking a quick seat. She really didn't want anyone to notice how nervous she was. "So everyone excited?" she adked tying her frizzy hair in to a buchy ponytail.

"She didn't do anything of the sort, Neptune," Raiden said, his tone flat. "She wouldn't have done anything to hurt you, she's... Daphne."

Which was... what? WHAT? Was she asking him which of his friends he liked more?

As a friend?

"Neither. They're both amazing," he said simply, shrugging his shoulders as he looked down at her. "I met them a long time ago. They're both my best friends."

There was really... no picking between them at all. He couldn't even imagine that. Stare.

Anastasia smiled, "She's a girl. I thought the name was pretty." She surveyed the compartment. "We have to be careful how many more people sit in here, it's starting to get full."

"Sorry" mumbled Katherine pulling out of her backpack a thick book. It was for the more advanced students at Hogwarts but still she had to have. besides Katherine had already read all of the ones their school list. Yup that was her summer reading and soon she'd be able to try the spells. It's be soo fun. Learning. Yes.

Hmmm. An earplug in the face.. he thought, left eyebrow twitching. That happening to Kellen was funny, to himself? he wasn't quite sure. Nope he thought, not amusing at all. However this was war, so jumping away from her he threw one back.

He grinned as he saw Kate return. Finally! People were comming back! he thought. Things were gonna get interesting again. That girl had good aim!

Leslie walked down the corridors and spotted a compartment full of people, of course being a first year she knew almost nobody, but school was for making friends. She smiled as she opened the compartment door, she put her straight black hair behind her ear and smiled, "Hello everyone," she said.

Thalia stood up when she saw Emily and smiled at the girl. "Emily!" she cried and ran over to give her a hug. "So nice of you to join us. This is my cousin Anna," she pointed over at the girl with a smile. "And that's just Parker but seriously, just forget about the rude comments he gives people," she added, frowning and waving her hand in dismissal at the boy. "Come join us. I'm glad you did."

Would Anna ever learn not to mess with ENEMIES!!!!???? Why was she putting her through this kind of torture? She would never like Parker and here goes Anna, trying to lure him into that kind of trick.

"I can be in any other house and still like to read," she pointed out. "I don't have to just be a Ravenclaw to do it." She glanced at him and frowned. Was he going to have a panic attack or something? Then the feeling went away as he regained control.

"Right here!" she pulled up her shirt sleeve and flexed. Okay so maybe she wasn't the strongest person but she still had muscle. She could do 50 push ups. After all she was an athletic little girl.

Was he actually being civil to someone?! Gasp! She eyed Anna and brought her hand up to below her chin and waved it back in forth in an anxious expression. "For the last time I did not talk about you! You can't just fool my cousin into thinking your a nice person!" Thalia burst out standing up. Maybe she should have laid off the energy drinks this morning. "Your cunning and devious and I personally believe you Parker Yorke---," she walked up to him and gabbed a finger at his chest. "---will be a Slytherin hands down. Take that as a compliment." Thalia lowered her hand and stared at his face for a second. His eyes were rather nice....WHOA!!! Did she just think that? Moving back. Thalia shook her head and returned to her seat.

"This is a school you learn about magic Parker! Just---be happy for once in your life," she pleaded. This was a great day. Everyone needed to be joyful.

Helena crinkled her nose at his comment about her hair and stuck her tongue out at him. Take that one, Blakey. Where the--- Lena didn't get to finish her half-asked question as he stopped dragging her down the corridor and ended up in front of the compartment he had been in before.... with Shana.

Ugh. Fine - she'd deal with it as long as there was noooo drama this time! Lena's eyes, a mere blue that might have been brilliant if they hadn't been such a spectacular green in the past, shot over to Blake as he almost said 'boyfriend', but it wasn't the unusual annoyed look she would have given him. It was almost.... regret.

Lena heard his sigh and felt, if possible, exponentially worse. At his words, though, she managed a small smile and nodded, but then she laughed as he bowed and opened the door. What? she asked with a grin, elbowing him slightly before going in and sitting down, Does the term 'best friend' now stretch to include 'servant for life'? Because I could handle that. She winked at him.

Shaking the offered hand Anya also introduced herself. "I'm Anya, Hello!"

Looking over at the excitement of the other players she couldn't help but laugh. "Are they always like this?" she asked Kate.

Anastasia looked surprised. " No,no, I didn't mean that you should leave! I was just calculating how much mass this compartment could hold."

She looked at the book that Katherine was reading. "Ooh, looks like fun! I love learning. "

Chaucer saw this twist of Damien's head as an opening. The buxom Kate had once more aided him, like some muse from the ether! He made a theatrical leap towards a pile of plugs that were laying uncomfortable close to the boy's feet - but sometimes you have to take risks! Chaucer mused in a fashion not unlike a cheesey action hero. His arm reached out as he came closer and closer to the ammo...

... he stumbled and looked down...
... his shoelace had come undone...
... and the shoe had flown off, revealing his white and red polka-dot socks.

"I cannot go back, no matter how dear to me are the ones I leave behind! Italian leather, I shan't forget your support!" Landing roughly on the floor, Chaucer made a rapid grab for the foam before rolling to his side and preparing to fire.

Emily nodded to everyone and sat down next to her. "Im used to them by now, so its all right." she said, still grinning wide. "What house do you wanna be in?" Emily asked, directing the question to Anna mostly and turning completely away from Parker.
