Sara looked up into Drew's clear, brown eye's and sighed. She had really missed Drew. They had been together up until the sorting hat, and then the thinkable had happened. She had been sorted to Hufflepuff, but Drew had been sorted to Gryffindor. Sure, he was brave, smart, and daring... but it just wasn't fair. She was just, loyal, hard-working and patient... well maybe not so patient... Didn't they compliment each other?
Sara jumped up from the beat and gave Drew a huge hug. "God, Ive missed you Drew," Sara said. "I didn't think we'd ever see each other again... and here you are!" Sara was happy... very, very happy.
hug. hug is good...oh Sara I missed you too so much !! oh God how did I bear not seeing you I dont know!! So how is it going in Hufflepuff? Like here? I wish we would be in the same house... Drew really wished that over and over again...
Abigail smiled at the boy and shook his hand. “Hiya Tavelon, I’m Abigail. I take it you a first year as well?” Abigail was glad that more boys had joined Hufflepuff at least of Arrick’s sake.
"Yes" Tavelon said "It's my first year... and already quite an interesting one. Is it your first year, too?"

Sophie Melita, former member of the Ministry-approved Hogwarts staff (potions mistress), former professor at Belle's School for Witches, former unspeakable, former preschool teacher, and most recently, former healer at the Center for Aged and Cursed Wizards, was carrying a HUGE basket of cookies that looked as if she would tip over from the weight of it if it hadn't been charmed to be light (though why she hadn't just charmed a smaller basket to have an unending bottom, one can only conjecture that she just like things big). Each cookie was graced with a pair of wings, which explained the flock of cookies fluttering over her head.
She beamed at everyone as the door shut behind her and then she started skipping (with her flock of cookies still encircling her head) down past the Hufflepuffs, tossing cookies toward the table which fluttered onto each plate. Once there, the wings disappeared and a seemingly plain chocolate chip cookie was all that was left. "Welcome to Hogwarts!" Sophie declared in her high pitched, talking to a baby, voice, over and over, as she went.
Tavelon was mildy alarmed by the bright pink lady skipping down the aisle tossing cookies... literally, of course...at the students. Plus, the high pitched calls of "Welcome to Hogwarts" rather annoying. But the cookies were very delicious, so Tavelon didn't mind.

Kita entered the Great Hall and smiled so widely, she resembled the Cheshire Cat. For the first time, she wasn't going to be Sorted. She remembered the previous year when she felt so scared, she thought she was inhabited with butterflies. But she was fine now. And she felt at home.
The Great Hall still seemed to amaze her. Even with the fact that she was already there for a whole year. She couldn't wait to eat. She then broke out of her reminiscence when she realised that she was blocking the doorway. She blushed from embarrassment and hurried to the Hufflepuff table. She sat down near the middle and waited for the Sorting and the food...

"It's okay." said Sara, but it would have been better if she knew more people. "Most of the people I met in Diagon Alley seem to be in Gryffindor with you though."
"Life just wasn't fair," Sara though. "A good looking guy like Drew was an easy target for all of the girls in Gryffindor... after all, most 11 year old boys were pretty stunned when it came to 11 eleven year old girls. She wondered what was on Drew's mind...where did they stand...friends or more?"

Why couldn't he just explain it was for Bunbury before Brody and Torin had met? It sounded much easier than keeping quiet and not telling the whole truth. But, Sylvia had to respect Torin's whishes, and she wrapped her arms around her best friendling. "It's alright. I'll make sure she doesn't come near you ... or Torin." She giggled at that last part.
Silly potions.
"She'll get the picture soon right? You were there first, love wise anyway." Brody didn't know Torin before Reese, but that wasn't the point. "Plus, you're prettier."
Sylvia frowned and shook her head as Torin arrived. "No. Violence isn't the answer unless I'm using it."

"I dunno....it would make me feel bette?" She shrugged. She didnt want to hit the girl. She didnt want to get in trouble.
Then she heard what Sylvia said and giggled. "And Syvlie's too pretty to use violence."
He snorted at Sylvia and then smiled at Brody, relieved.
"That's good then. 'cause I would have rather you didn't to be honest." He laughed. He only really said that Brody could do that to make her feel better. The hug was nice, but it was the "Ellie is a nice girl" that bugged Sara!
Sara looked up at Drew, squeezed him extra hard, and then pulled away. "So," Sara asked timidly, "Are we together or are we just friends?" Sara needed to know. She didn't want to feel jealous of her friend Ellie.
Sara held her breath as she waited for Drew's reply to come...

Sara had to think seriously about this... they were only 11...
Again, Sara took a serious look at Drew. "How about we are 'together', which means you can't go hugging any other girls and I can't go hugging any other boys." Said said.
"And, if you do, our friendship is over..." Sara thought sadly to herself, but still she continued on... "or we can just be friends and you can go hug anyone you like." Sara was astounded with herself...where was all of his stuff coming from?

Abigail wasn’t quite sure where Arrick was going with that. The napkins belonged to Hogwarts and they were there for their use, why did he think he couldn’t use it? ‘This is going to be harder than I thought; it might actually take 7 years.’
“The napkin is next to your plate so it’s yours to use. You can get it as dirty as you want, it’ll get cleaned. And what’s the point in napkins if people don’t use them, the napkins will end up unemployed if you don’t use them! And anyway its better the napkin get’s dirty than you, the napkin doesn’t have to walk around you do.”

Unemployed napkins? As if. Who needed napkins when you had all the cloth you needed on your sleeves? Especially his slightly worn second-hand robes, they had nice big sleeves. Still, Arrick wasn't going to win this one, so he took the napkin grudgingly and started dabbing at the runaway gravy around his plate.

Angel forgot she hadnt told Luci the news so once again became rather hyped "Yes mother and Scott bought it last month, i have only seen photos so far but it looks lush" She tried her best to hide the hatred in her voice when she spoke of her step father Scott, she has never really got on with him since he married her mother. "Oh yes Rayedem, How is he?"
Then came the subject of timetables "No, we were told they will be waiting for us in the common room"
Lucille's face automatically grew sympathetic as she listened to Angel talking about her step father. She knew how she didn't like him, so she changed the subject.
"That sounds brill!" she said enthusiastically. "Well, Rayedem is....Rayedem. He was still moaning about my biker boots. I think he thinks girls should be floaty and pathetic. Where is there a rule that says you cant wear a girly dress with worn out biker boot? Where?!" she breathed evenly, and chuckled, thinking about her childhood friend.

"Good." Brody giggled, feeling quite less annoyed now. It was probably because Sylvia was here and Reese wasn't. She was always generally happy when Sylvia was around. Tehhe. The joys of her amazing best friend. Thats why she loved Sylvia so much. But she did want to know why Reese had suddenly decided that she loved Torin. It was all a little odd.
"And since when do I listen to anyone?" She giggled, smiling. Sylvia knew that she was one of the only people that she would listen to, her and Evolette really. That was about it. She generally just did what she liked, it was hard to control her, it was a flaw really. Not that she would call it a flaw.
"I should be a beater...that would help me." She grinned. She'd like hitting Bludgers at things....and Reese.
"Even if she told me to dump you?" Brody rolled her eyes. Silly Torin but if he belived it then suit himself.

"Yes" Tavelon said "It's my first year... and already quite an interesting one. Is it your first year, too?"
“That I am. So where are you from? “That I am. So where are you from? You happy to be at Hogwarts?” Abigail was still a bit distracted by the winged cookie which she had no interest in eating.
