Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Kayla stood up from the chair and looked at Jack with narrowed eyes. "You pretty much think you're all that don't you?" she sneered slightly. "We're all in here trying to help you and your brother and you're out there causing us much trouble as you possibly can" Kayla stalked towards the younger boy totally forgetting that there was a professor in the room. "One of these days you're going to pick on someone who can fight back and then what are your going to do?" she asked leaning towards him, "I ought to take you outside right now and teach you a lesson of my own."

Jack moved back slowly "I... I..." he moved right against the wall, wow, tall he made a small scared noise...

Antonio had felt the same temptation Kayla had just expressed when Jack revealed that he had hit a girl. "You ought to be ashamed of yourself," he said. "Behavior like that is simply not accepted in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. How long is it going to take for you to learn that?"

"What do you mean, you didn't do it on purpose?", Antonio asked. "How is it possible that you could hit someone and not do it on purpose? Do you mean your fist just accidentally happened to find someone's face?" He saw Jack inching towards the door and began to attempt to block the door.

Jack gulped "I was aiming for the boy" Jack told him "And then her face sort of... got in the way" Jack glanced at the door and started to shake, Jack saw Dumont moving to block the door "Er... Bye" he made for the door before Dumont could get there, but casting a spell was a totally different time slot...

Sakura quickly jumped up and moved in front of Jack. She looked back and forth between Kayla and Dumont she couldn't decide which was more dangerous. Looking back at Kayla she said, "You promised, that you'd help him no matter what. Well at this point in time you're the dangerous one. You're threatening a first year. A first year who doesn't know half as many spells as you do and who probably does regret hitting the girl at least."

Sakura then turned to Dumont. "And you! Like you haven't ever done anything like this. If he says he didn't mean to hit her then I'm sure he didn't and he was already punished so you don't need to be like this. Obviously he came here because he trusts you. But you can't see that can you? All you can see is your own pathetic black and white view of the world. You said that I didn't trust you, I told you that I did but maybe I shouldn't maybe none of us should because from your stance I can tell that the only thing holding you back from hurting him right now is the fact that you're a Professor." By the time Sakura finished she was in dire need of air.

"No, you're wrong about that, Sakura. I want to see Jack become everything he can, to fulfill his potential. I don't want to see him expelled from Hogwarts, and that is a real possibility if his behavior continues the way it has. And I won't go after him this time. Go, go and talk to him, I won't stop you," Antonio said.

John was getting annoyed now and ever though he was still crying he managed to shout. "Fighting each other will not help us in this situation." He was so annoyed that everyone was argueing with each other. "Jack if you had seen what I had you would have been crying and don't pretent that you wouldn't." He looked at the Professor. "Sorry for shouting professor but arguing with each other will not help us." He hoped that the Professor would forgive him.

"Still you seemingly don't understand that he will at least regret hitting the girl after all he regretted it when I..." Sakura trailed off then thinking she may have revealed just a bit too much. Nodding at the Professor she said "Fine I will." and started walking towards the door.

Kayla was tempted to grab Jack by the scruff of the neck and drag him back into the room but then Sakura was having a go at her and Kayla turned on the younger girl. "I made no such promise Sakura, I said I would talk to you about it" she said through gritted teeth. "If he's not going to try and help himself then why should the rest of us bother?" Kayla knew she didn't mean that but she was slightly irritated at this point. "And yes I can be dangerous Sakura but I unlike Jake, no my limits of what I can and shouldn't do."

She turned to Professor Dumont. "Would you like me to go and talk to him or should I stay here with Jonh?" Personally it was probably better that she did stay behind but Jack and Sakura together in her opinion was not a good mix.

"You may go after them if you choose," Antonio told Kayla. "There is really nothing any of us can do to keep Jack out of trouble, I'm afraid. Nothing we do or say is going to save him. Utlimately, it is going to be up to Jack to save himself. He may have the strength inside him to do that or he may not. Either way, we shall see."

"I understand that it's been very upsetting for you, John," Antonio said symphathetically. "We are going to try and get to the bottom of all this and figure out what is happening."

"I apologise for losing my temper Professor" Kayla said a little sheepishly. "The problem is Jack reminds me so much of myself at that age" she chuckled, "but without the special talent." Kayla sighed and looked towards the door to where Jack had left. "Perhaps I might go after him and see what I can do" she looked back at John for a moment and her expression softened. "I think John, will be alright at least he has a sensible head on his shoulders" Kayla patted the professor lightly on the arm. "You could do with a rest yourself."

Kayla looked back at Sakura not flinching under the girl's gaze. "You'd be surprised at what I can do" she said lightly. "Maybe, maybe not but he can't keeping going around causing trouble Sakura, he's going to end up getting expelled and then where will that leave him?" Kayla headed to the exit but stopped just inside the doorway. "And I would appreciate it if you stopped telling me what to do." With that Kayla made her exit and headed up the corridor.

"Kayla please don't follow. If he sees you or hears you it could just make things worse. After you threatening him he may try to run again. We don't need it to seem like we're trying to corner him and make him do something that he doesn't want to. If he thinks that he may never trust any of us again." Sakura looked up pleadingly. She knew what could go wrong and she knew the risks perhaps better than anyone. This was a risk she wasn't willing to take.

When Kayla walked out the door Sakura just sighed before sitting down again with her head in her hands. It was too much, Ruby and... Wait Ruby, with all the commotion Sakura forgot why she'd come here in the first place.

Antonio heard Sakura asking Kayla not to go after Jack and wondered what would happen. This was something he would not interfere in. Kayla had calmed down now and might be able to get through to Jack, but Antonio had a feeling that Jack would be okay if he and Sakura were together alone right now, too. He was completely out of this. He had a feeling somehow that anything he might try to do to intercede might only make matters worse, this was just one of those situations where you had to step back.

"Professor before I go there was something I wanted to ask you about. It's Ruby you see. Her grandfather is extremely ill and in St Mungo's I want to try and be there for her but I'm not sure how. She wont talk in front of Jack but at the same time I want to spend time with him and I'm also not sure what to say to her, that wont make things worse." Sakura sighed slightly, she so didn't know why she was asking Dumont this, due to that fact she walked out of the office.

John who had been listerning to everything that was being said got up from where he was sitting. "Professor what is going on?" He then felt sick and his head hurt maybe it was from all the crying he had done. "Professor I don't feel so.." He was then sick all over the Professor floor. "Sorry." He said as he laid down on the settee in the Professor office, he didn't feel so good anymore.

Sakura burst back into the office, she had decided to come here before going to the Hospital Wing. "Sorry professor but Jack he-he's in the Hospital Wing and..." Sakura trailed off when she saw John vomit. "Are you alright? I think you should go to the Hospital Wing." She said cautiously.

"Were you just saying Jack is in the hospital wing, Sakura?" Fear began to grip him, perhaps he had been wrong to let Jack run off on his own like that. "The three of us will go to the hospital wing, maybe you can explain what's happened with Jack along the way," he said. "John, can you walk or do you need help? I really think the nurse should see you."

"I think I can Professor." John tried to get up but couldn't. "Professor, I can't get up my legs won't let me." He was sad now, his poor little legs were hurting him and they just wouldn't let him up. "I feel tired Professor." His head was hurting him so much but for some reason all he wanted to do was sleep. "Can I go to sleep Professor?" He asked. "Maybe I'll feel better after I've had a good sleep." John was trying his hardest not to be sick. "Can I have a bucket please?."

"Okay." Said John as he continued to lay on the settee. "So how are we going to get to the Hospital wing?" He asked. "I would work but my legs are tired and won't let me." He was trying his hardest not to cry. "Sakura what did you say had happened to Jack?" He wanted to know what had happened as if it was anything bad John would have to see him straight away. He looked at the Professor. "What's wrong with me?" He asked as he rubbed his head to see if the pain would go away. He thought it was just a stuppid headache brought on by all the crying he had been doing.
