Come up to the door of Professor Dumont’s office and knock, the professor is usually in and is happy to talk to you about whatever you may have in mind, especially if it involves muggle studies.

As you walk through the door of Professor Dumont’s office, you are struck by the fact that at least part of this room appears not to be that magical at all, but looking rather like an office you might see on muggle television (had you ever had the chance to see muggle television, that is!) The main feature of the room is a very large wood desk with a nice comfortable chair behind it, a purple, cushiony chair. There are a couple chairs in front of the desk, which appears as though it may be oak, both these chairs are a dark green velvet, padded, and appear very comfortable as well. The rug on the floor is a forest green color, imprinted with a variety of flowers in many different colors, it is very relaxing and lovely, one of the prettiest rugs you could ever find. Professor Dumont inherited this rug from his family, it is an heirloom.

On the right hand wall you notice many photos calling to mind muggle entertainers. There are photos of various muggle rock bands from the ‘60’s and ‘70’s including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin (it turns out that Professor Dumont loves this type of music). There are pictures of Elvis Presley as well, along with such muggle icons as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, and many others.

On.the wall immediately behind the desk are some photos that are obviously personal. There are pictures of a very old castle with high pirouetting towers, this is Castle Dumont, Antonio’s family home. You gather that it is located somewhere in France, and you would be correct. You will also find many of the pictures that move and talk, wizarding pictures, there is a man and a woman in their 50’s, Professor Dumont’s parents. There is a new picture added this year, one which has a special place right over the Professor's desk. This picture is of a very pretty little girl, no more than 2 years old, with curly dark hair and a somewhat familiar look about her. You would be guessing correctly if you guessed that this is a picture of Professor Dumont's daughter, Antonia Michelle, who he has just become reunited with during the term break. But that's a whole other story, one you may or may not be lucky enough to hear (probably not!)

Along the left wall there is a long table which goes the length of the room. On this table are many muggle items to look at and perhaps even play with, including computers, video monitors that might even pick up muggle television (who knows?), video game systems, cell phones, iPods, skateboards, yoyos, Playdough, Legos, various board games, and a huge variety of books on all subjects. Your eyes fall on this table longingly, perhaps you might have the chance to play with some of these items yourself if you are very good some time, you never know!

Jack knocked politely on the door, he looked at John and waited for an answer

John knocked on the door, after waiting a while for some answer, It had taken him and Jack near one hour to find the room in which Professor Dumont called his office, though from the outside it looked ugly and John wondered how come he hadn't bothered to decorate the door. He hoped that inside would be a lot better than the outside, though he had a feeling it could be worse.

You see, John didn't like this professor it was his fault that they had lost there older brother Jose. He had followed Professor's Dumonts advice and gone off to live in the muggle world. He still had nightmares about it now and he hoped that in the end, everything would be okay and that Jose would come back safely home, but from what John knew was the fact that Jose didn't take a lot of money with him so it was highly unlikely that he would.

John wanted to get to know this Professor, so when Jack wanted John to come with him and act polite. John swallowed his pride and did as Jack sugested, maybe if he got to know the man then he would find out he was decent and he could also ask what Jose wanted to know about and why was he so obsested with going to live with the muggles, what was his dream.

Rose had waited for this moment, to finally meet the teacher in which she would learn about muggles! From a wizarding perspective no less. Letting out a sigh, she looked down at her shoes. Polished till they gleamed she looked presentable, not in the least scruffy. In her examination, she'd failed to keep a look-out at her path and bumped rather unscrupulously into a boy her age. Recoiling, she looked up with a frown, "Sorry" Was all she could manage as she took a step back.

Realising they were both in the same year, or at least close she smiled, "Hello. Are you here to see Mr....I mean Professor Dumont?" Looking around she noticed they weren't the only ones. Another boy, older than them was also at the door. This Professor was popular. Smiling she looked back at the boy, "What's your name?"

"Yes we are" Jack replied to the girl who'd bumped into him "I'm Jack Mosier and this is my twin brother, John" Jack smiled

John looked at Jack and smiled "I wonder if he is in?" "Sorry Jack" he said as he moved away from the door "You know I don't have much patients and I'm getting bored out here, my legs are starting to act." John felt like just walking into the office, but of course he wouldn't unless Jack did it first. If Jack did something then John would back him up in anyway he could, he wondered if Jack would do the same for him. John thought to himself that when Professor Dumont got there then he would find out.

John looked at the new person who had got there and smiled at him "We are he to see Professor Dumont." He had to be polite in front of Jack. "And nice to meet you, my name is John" He looked at Jack as if to say what are we going to do now.

Antonio heard people banging on the door. He hoped it to find a girl he didn't recognize before. "Hello, there," he said, then he saw the other two people who were waiting, those two twin boys Jack and John Moiser. Oh no, this is not good, he thought to himself. Whatever these two were here for, he was certain it wasn't for any sort of useful purpose, but he didn't want them going on in the hallway shouting and making fools of themselves. These two had a reputation for trouble from what he had seen and one of them seemed to have a chip on his shoulder from the start, maybe he could talk to them and get some sensible responses, maybe even share the real story of what had happened with their brother with them. "Come in," he said, holding the door open.

John looked at Professor Dumont and smiled. He forgot that he had promised Jack he would be polite. "It's about time isn't Professor Brainless" He laughed and mimicked looking at his watch. Then he remembered what he had promised Jack "I'm sorry I ment Professor Dumont" He smiled at the professor and could see in the professor's eyes he was worried about why him and Jack where there to see him.

He turned to Jack with a pleading look. He just wanted to tell the Professor what he thought about the way Jose had run off to follow his advice. He wondered what Jack was doing and if he would help him in the end. every since he and Sakura had started to go out, Jack didn't seem to be his old self.

"Professor, may I ask that you redecorate this place, it doesn't seem that good, I meen the door colour doesn't match anything else in the room and that rug, well I think it would be better in the bin" He hoped that the Professor didn't mind people having an oppinion "If you want me to I can help you redecorate." John hoped that the Professor would allow him to, he thought that he could do a good job.

Antonio looked at John quizzically. "Oh, is that right? You don't like it here, do you? And you want to offer your decorating suggestions. Well, thank you very much but seeing that it isn't your office and I am quite happy with the way it is, then I would suggest you might keep your opinions to yourself untiil you get an office of your own one day. At that time, you may decorate it in any way you see fit." He eyed these two, they were clearly starting on him already. He was only going to take so much of this nonsense. In a way he felt kind of sorry for this pair, but they were just so rude and annoying that it was hard to deal with them.

Jack looked at Dumont "I am so s...s... sad that John said that, please disregard it" Jack breathed, he was so close! But that word was fobidden, yes, forbidden.

"Professor, that rug is weird it takes the colour out of the place." Replied John after Professor Dumont had told him to leave thing alone. Of course John knew better so he just went upto the rug and picked it up and moved it out of site. "You see Professor Hopeless... I mean Professor Dumont, doesn't the room look a lot better now that the rug is out of site, if I was you I'd get rid of it all together, the rug went out of fashion in the 20th centry." He laughed to Jack and wondered what suggestion Jack might have.

"Jack can you think of any other way that the office can be improved?" He asked his twin. He was fighting back the tears of laugher with every effort that he had. "Come on Jack you must want to say something?"

Exactly what does bring the two of you here today, if I may ask?" Antonio began to file his fingernails with a muggle orange stick, then put the board away in the top drawer of his desk. Having neat, clean fingernails and nice clean hair was a priority of his, after all, appearance was so important.

John was beside himself didn't the Professor care that he had just moved the rung. The Professor seemed to be talking things quite casual as if they were friends, like that would ever happen thought John. "What brings us here?" John mimicked the Professor that's an easy question to answer "You, we want to know, how someone as hopeless as you ever got to be a teacher, You give people advice to run away from home and follow there dreams, like you told Jose to do last term." He was talk normaly but the venom in his words you could here "You told Jose Moiser to go live with the muggles and follow his dream, though why he would follow the advice of someone like you is beond me" John looked the Professor up and down, shaking his head, the appearance of this guy was comical.

Antonio stared at the boy. "I told your brother to go and live with the muggles? Are you completely out of your mind? I did everything in my power to get him to stay here at Hogwarts. Your brother Jose is a kind, bright, considerate boy with a lot of promise, the worst thing he could have done was set off on his own to an unknown land. I tried my best to convince him to stay, but he would not listen, he wanted to experiment life as a muggle on his own, plus the fact that he had gone to look for his stepmother. You must be out of your mind. I offered Jose money to come back to Hogwarts to finish his education, but he told me that he wanted to stay there a while longer and that he might take up my offer at the end of the term. Any amount of money to bring him back here is worth it to me, I'm not concerned about that. I am worried about your brother." He said the last part quietly, barely audible to anyone. He wouldn't have even brought any of these things up, but these two were Jose's brothers, they had a right to know the way things really were if nothing else. Even though he doubted they would know the truth if it bit them on the nose.

Jack stared back at Dumont "You... don't know Jose like I do, he wouldn't do that, not unless someone pushed him to" Jack spat at him "You know what I really think of this office?" Jack walked over to the table and threw everything on the floor, he also tipped the table over breaking it, then he looked at the rug, he was so annoyed the rug set on fire from sparks that had flown out of his wand, his face was screwed up, he didn't care about the girl, his head felt like it was going to explode, suddenly the posters ripped, Jack fell to the floor breathing fast, his head hurt so much.

"I don't believe you" screemed John has was getting angry now. "I am sure that your lieing to us, I bet you gave Jose the money to get to were he was and anyway if you know so much tell me why he got in touch with you and not us." His voice had gotten softer now though the venom was still there. "What was it you wanted him to do?" He asked the Professor Sarcastacly. "Was there something you needed to do and you were to scared to go and do it?" He was sure that was the right answer the man did look like a chicken to him, one that was frighten of anything dangerous. "Your so crazy." laughed John. "And you spell Crazy c....r....a....z.....y." He was sure that the Professor wouldn't know how to spell crazy let alone know the meaning of it. "And just so you know Crazy means when someone does something stupid or silly. And I know you give Jose the advice since it says so in this note, he left for us."

The note he produced had been ripped but John couldn't see that.

Antonio had tried to be nice, but clearly these two were insane and in need of punishment. There was no way of reasoning with them. "You two!" He shouted. "I could have both of you expelled from this school for what you have done, do you even realize what you did? The only thing that's keeping me from doing that is the sheer fact that I feel sorry for you simply because neither one of you understands, but consider yourselves in detention from this point on! Now get out of my office, both of you!" Antonio proceeded to repair the damage that had been done by these uncontrolled brats, fortunately he was able to restore everything through a special restoring spell he had knowledge of which had been passed down for years in his family. "You have no concept of the truth, either one of you, and who knows whether either of you will ever learn? Now - GET OUT!"

Jack breathed deeply, his head was hurting, now Dumont was shouting? No way Jack stood up, using John as support "We. Have. No. Respect for someone who pushed our brother over the edge" Jack snarled at Dumont, his fears, Jack knew them, he knew it all, nodding to John, Jack moved towards the door "This is not over" Jack told him. Detention was going to be fun. As usual.

John wondered if he shoulf argue with the Professor but decided against in. He smiled at Jack when he went mental "Jack I think you went a bit to far." He couldn't help but laugh at the handywork of Jack. John then turned to the Professor and smiled an innicent smile.

He realised that maybe they had gone a bit to far, but at least they had done what they came out to do and that was to get back at Professor Dumont. "Don't worry" Replied John "Where going?" He smiled innicently at the professor whilest thinking we'll be back.

He went and openned the door then shut it quietly on his way out, maybe having Jack with him was a bit to much for the professor to handly, he knew that if Jack didn't like someone he would just do anything to wind the person up.

Clifford liked Professor Dumont. He was pretty cool AND he was the muggle studies teacher. Anyone that knew so much about muggles, had to be cool, right!? Of course!

Happy to be back at school, the sixth year whistled cheerfully as he made his way casually to the Professor's office. Clifford liked learning about muggles, but they confused the heck outta him, and who better to ask his muggle-related questions than the muggle studies teacher? YAY!

He was about to knock on the door, when two younger Hufflepuffs exited the office, and Clifford stepped back out of their way to let him out. Ahh, that was good. Hopefully Dumont was free then? Hehe. Raising a fist, the Slytherin gave the door two, loud knocks.

Antonio heard another knock on the door and thought for a moment, "Not those two again!" He was relieved to find Clifford there instead, finally someone he wanted to see. "Clifford! How have you been?", he asked, gesturing the boy inside his office. "Sorry for the mess, I'm afraid there was a bit of a small - problem - here, but it's all taken care of now." Actually the office looked almost the same as it had before the twins had visited, Antonio was good at this sort of thing. "Congratulations on making prefect by the way, good job!" Antonio had noticed that Clifford was now wearing the prefect's badge.
