Jake had been glancing around the room, when he noticed two other first year Hufflepuffs. Wrups... I'm out.

Jake quickly gathered his things and left the common room, aware that one of them, the girl, had been the one with Jack. The one who had assumed she was hated by Jake.

Well, he had places to be, he totally wasn't leaving because he was scared of Jack or anything... right?

'Well, it got a little wierd, but it was good!" Set said.

OOC: did you get points, cause i didn't. i thinks it cause i didn't do it in the "homework maze". i did it when i was still in "transfiguaration 1.5"

Mine was so scary! I had my partner take a shortcut and then she disappeared off my map! I almost cried! Cadence said in a dramatic voice. The teacher never gave us our points, though. Perhaps it's just taking her a bit to get through them all.

"That makes sence!" Set said. "I'm going to bed! Good night, I love you!" Set said hugging her, leaving to go to his dormatroy.

Goodnight! I love you too! she said cheerfully, hugging him back and then sitting back down in the chair to work on some more homework.

I am Twilight Mcdonahue. I have Hengist of Woodcroft. I have been researching and there seems to be very little facts written about him except he founded Hogsmeade about the time Hogwarts was founded. He had to be a wizard to have found the magical place where he had Hogsmeade build or he had to be friends with the founders of Hogwarts, which in turn again means he is a wizard.

Dominic strolled back into the common room with a first year in tow not far behind him. They had some things to discuss and thankfully nothing bad, but rather just about this History homework according to that sketchy Professor Truebridge. Although despite his sketchiness, he did seem to be rather interesting too.

Eying the crowded common room, the fifth year sighed quietly before making his way across the room and to the couches by the window that seemed to be emptier. "How's this, Jake?" he asked turning around to greet the short little first year, before just plopping into a chair. Not like they had much other choices.

Jake had to keep his legs moving a little faster than usual, to keep up with Dominic as he strolled on in.

Okaaaaay... you do that... you stroooooollllllll away with ya looooong legs and whatnot. Pfft.

But no, Jake wouldn't let that slip, he would try to be civil right now, seeing as he was on good terms with his luverly Donnymick Dental. Jake opened his mouth to answer the Prefect, when the guy just sat down anyway... Uhhm... rhetorical question? Fiiiiiiine, I'll sit here, but it's because IIIIIIIII want to...

So with that point firmly made in his mind, Jake plonked onto another chair.

"Sooooooo..." he started, with no intention of finishing. His eyes roved around for a second, making their way to Dominic. Window, chair, chair, patterned cushion- Oooooh! Purdy!!!!! FOCUS!!!!! Chair, hair... ear... eye.

Eye contact is a-go.

Noting Jake's quietness, Dominic just took out his History things as he waited for the first year to catch up with him. He really did need to learn how to slow down for people with shorter legs, but it wasn't really his fault that he didn't exactly have any younger siblings he had to wait for. Waiting for people was never really his thing.

"Soo," the fifth year commented back. "It seems we have some discussions to do. Who was your card again? I had Paracelsus and it seems we have to compare our cards to the timeline or something..."

Ahhh... things... that was a good idea. Jake pulled his books out that he had for his own personal use, which also helped with this Homework, and opened them up. His card was tucked into it, at the page of the bloke he had.

"Indeedy, it seems we do," Jake nodded, looking back at DomDom. Still the poking temptation. But no, all distractions were put in hold. "Parachute-us? Ne'er heard of him," Jake stated. "I got me... Hengist of Woodcroft, and... yeah... I forgot what exactly we had to do..." Jake rifled through his bag, trying to find the scrap of parchment with the homework on it. Too bad his bag consisted mainly of scraps of parchment with writing on them...

Waiting for Jake to catch up to speed with him and take out his own homework, Dominic read over the assignment question over and over in his mind. Discuss and compare the witches and wizards in the timeline; paying a special focus to the one on your card. Finally the first year spoke again, and the fifth year looked up casually to see him nod.

Wait, didn't he just say what they had to do? Frowning slightly, Dom blinked at the young boy. "Are you alright? I've just sorta told you what we have to do. 'discuss and compare the witches and wizards in the timeline - paying a special focus to the one on your card. Which would have won in a duel? A dance-off? A debate? A cook-off? Any ‘versus’ question you can think of may be addressed.'" He read off his assignment sheet, before turning to the timeline.

"We've got to do the timeline first it seems. Paracelsus and Hengist were both early wizards it seemed, with their exact dates of life being unknown. But they are definitely towards the early part of the time line, since Hengist did find Hogsmeade, which is sort of a big thing..." he trailed on, wondering if Jake was listening to even half of what he was saying.

Jake nodded absently, still reaching into his bag; he wanted his stuff... needed it. Finding it, Jake pulled it out and read aloud: "'Discuss and compare the witches and wizards in the timeline - paying a special focus to the one on your card. Which would have won in a duel? A dance-off? A debate? A cook-off? Any ‘versus’ question you can think of may be addressed...' Mhmm... seems correct... all in order..." Jake looked up and smiled. "Mhmm mhmm," he nodded. "Just being precise..."

Now, down to the matter at hand. "Well, like ya said, Hengist founded Hogsmeade... erm..." What else had Dom said. Jake looked down at the miniscule passage on his card. "Which was apparently around the time Hogwarts was founded... helpful, I guess... I'm not quite sure who Parrot-celcius was though..."

And Hengist'd probably be a tad more well-known if he was all THAT famous, Jake couldn't find more info about him than a picture ANYWHERE. Stupid Woodcrofty maaaaaan.

Ana walked into the common room and sat down near the fireplace. She was looking for someone who hadn't made the homework for History of Magic yet.

Kayla walked into the common room and took a seat by the fire, she placed her feet on the table and leaned back in her chair sighing contently. She noticed a first year sitting opposite her and she gave her a smile. "Hello there, you look sort of lost are you alright? Oh I'm Kayla by the way and what's your name?"

"Hi! I'm Ana" she smiled "Yeah i need to do my homework for history..." she sighed

"It's very nice to meet you Ana" Kayla replied and then her face brightened. "Oh I can help you if you like? Which chocolate frog card did you get? I got Hengist of Woodcroft" she said leaning down and grabbing some parchment and a quill out of her bag and placing them on the table.

"Thanks! Nice to meet you too! I got Albus Dumbledore"she answered

Destery walked into the common room and took a seat away from the crowds.
He put his feet on the table because they hurt and starting listening to his favorite band, Framing Hanley.

"Ooh that's an easy one" she said with excitment. "So we can safely say that Dumbledore was pro muggle. Okay so Dumbledore versus Hengist in a duel, who do you think would have won and why?" Kayla looked up at Ana.

Destery getting bored stood up and walk out of the door.

"Yes, very easy" she smiled "I think Dumbledore would win with anyone." she said slowly. "I mean he is... was the most powerful wizard of all times, at least for me. He was very good at a duel so...What do you think?" she asked.

"Yes I have to agree with you there" Kayla answered. "Although I think Hengist was probably rather apt at duelling, I don't think anyone could have beat Dumbledore he was rather skilled at everything he did" she looked down at the next question. "Okay so in a debate, who would have won?"

"Again, Dumbledore. He was the wisest man and a genius. Almost everything he says was right, like himself said. Dumbledore was just brilliant" she said "I think Hengist was more i fighter, I'm not saying that he was not smart but he was more up to the fight."

"Ah but not everything Dumbledore said was right. Remember when he was a young boy and joined forces with Grindewald, they both thought that muggles were to be overpowered by wizards 'For the Greater Good'" Kayla said thinking back over her history. "And Hengist, must have been rather convincing when he founded Hogsmeade. He would have had good arguments to get the magical folk to agree to an all wizarding village to keep the muggles away" she looked at Ana with a raised eyebrow.

"In saying that though Dumbledore did change his ways and in the years manage to create new laws for muggles to protect and support them. And of course he got Harry Potter out of trouble with the Ministry. So yes I think he would have won the debate but only just" Kayla gave Ana, a smile. "Now who would have won a dance off?" she giggled.
