Professor Truebridge opened the classroom door and all of the windows so that the room could air out a little bit. With a few flicks of Loretta, the majority of the dust was gone and Ethan spent a moment looking around, spotting his old desk and looking underneath it to see if his name was still carved into the wood.

He took off his shoes and placed them aside, walking over to the door and tapping his wand against it to reveal a message;

Barefoot he strode around the classroom, idly moving each desk so they weren't quite straight and not quite facing in the same directions.

Organised chaos.

After a few moments he padded barefoot over to his chair and sat in it, waiting for the students to arrive.

ooc:

The class will open in a few hours... basically whenever I wake up... it will go for about 24 hours or so, giving ample opportunities for everyone to join in.

Posting in the class indicates you have read the rules thread and intend to follow them.

Lasca listened intently to the volunteers. Raising her hand she decided to answer his last question, although to her it was a no brainer. "Professor, I am believing that Quong Po is the most deserving although Miss Pinkstone would be a good choice as well."

Cale listened to all of the descriptions from the class before raising his hand and starting his long explanation to the professor's questions. "Well, I suppose maybe Quong Po just had easy access to the Chinese Fireball, since that dragon is obviously native to his homeland. Perhaps he worked with dragons and that was how he discovered that information about their eggs. As for Plumpton he probably played Chaser as well if he developed the Plumpton Pass--I dunno why you'd have to pass anything but a Quaffle around in Quidditch," he paused to think up answers for the other cards that were given.

"Given that the beans are calle "Every Flavor" beans, they have many different varieties. Some of my favorites are chocolate, jalapano, peanut butter, and I know it sounds weird but...pepper," he said with a soft chuckle. "He probably invented them so he could introduce a new sweet to the wizarding world," he added. He then mused over Anna's card, about the exploding tuba woman. "Maybe she just wanted to be unique by adding the tuba--so her piece would end with a BANG," he suggested.

"Carlotta Pinkstone might have been part muggle, or perhaps she had a good friendship with muggles and wanted to share all her secrets with them. Maybe then she felt that all muggles deserved to know about the magical world. I personally think she had the right idea--I mean, muggles and wizards get married all the time and live in peaceful co-existance with each other. We're taking it one step at a time, and I definitely feel it works," he explained. "She's probably one of the most deserving of being on the card, Professor," he added.

I just LOVE his Every-Flavor Beans and considering that Wizard cards come with candy, it just seems natural that a candy makers name be added to the list."

Jake warily raised his hand. "Could Plumpton have been a Chaser, because he invented a Pass." Seemed right. He raised his hand again for good measure. "Bertie Bott flavours... earwax, vomit, toast i think... that's all I can think of.

Curt raised his hand with a smile on his face at the Professors question. “That’s easy sir. Roderick Plumpton…” Curt looked around the room to see their reaction, most people seemed to know that he was Quidditch obsessed.

“I mean think about it. If you have ever been in Quidditch Match you know how hard it is to catch the snitch. The game I played Seeker in took me four hours to find the little booga.” Curt shook his head back to the main question, “Three and a half minutes is an incredible feat. And the Plumpton Pass is probably amoung the top three most efficient methoeds of passing in modern Quidditch. Roderick Plumpton changed the face of the game forever.” And that was that, Curt had his two cents in.

When Marina raised her hand she felt herself blush as she did not like speaking in front of many people, but she had an opinion on this and she wanted this very nice teacher to know her opinion:"Maybe she had Muggle friends or was Muggleborn, and found it hard to keep the fact that she was a witch from friends and unreliable family members."

A cold, hard glare formed on Becca's face and she took her seat. "Okay, fine. Whatever." Her first attempt at earning points failed. She didn't understand. She raised her hand and volunteered - and yet, she got shot down. How rude. Lainey would have never been so harsh.

For once she wasn't TRYING to lose points. That was a first. So now... he had made her look stupid in front of the entire class. With her pride now crushed, this guy was on her bad list. She got out a piece of parchment and a self-inking quill and already began to write her update for Lainey. This man needed to be gone.

Robert shifted in his seat as there was mention of the Plumpton Pass and he shook his head, "But the Plumpton Pass isn't a PASS. It's a move done by the Seeker to catch the snitch in his sleeve. There really isn't any passing involved..."

Anna considered the questions that were asked and then raised her hand to answer all the questions. "As for Quong Po, he was of a Chinese descent, so I imagine that helped him gain a lot of his interest in the Chinese Fireball. It's possible he could have discovered the uses of the powdered eggs purely by accident. There are many potions ingredients which are classified as "powdered," and he very well could have accidentally added in a powdered egg once and just gotten lucky with the effects," Anna suggested.

"As for Plumpton, I think he could have also played chaser. It's the closest position to seeker that I can think of," Anna continued. "Plus, he seemed really good at catching."

"A few Bertie Bott's flavors are rotten egg, dirt, and earwax," Anna said. She made a disgusted face, thinking back to the time her mother had convinced her to try Bertie Bott's ice cream. Anna's flavor had turned out to be boogey-flavored. Ewwww.

Anna thought for a moment about the tuba question. Why would Barkwith have used a tuba? "As for the tuba," she started, "it's the largest and lowest pitched brass instrument. Perhaps because it's the largest of its kind, that's the one she went with. She probably wanted the effects of the explosion to be as loud and large as possible."

"I think Pinkstone wanted to share our existence, due to the many ways muggles could benefit from our magic," Anna said. "Can you imagine how fast many of their illnesses would be healed just by using some of our potions? We could also help famous mysteries be solved with potions like Veritaserum," she added. "I think that was dangerous, though, because the muggles would naturally want to try and perform the same magic we do. That could prove very disastrous."

Anna thought for a moment about which of the five famous wizarding folk discussed most deserved to be on a chocolate frog card. "Well, Quong Po was pretty important. Thanks to him, we've able to make many advances in potions with the powdered eggs of the Chinese Fireball," she finished.

"Three and a half seconds! Thats fairly insane but it would be a boring game to watch I think! Anyone here support the Tutshill Tornados? What other positions do you think Plumpton might have played?" Truebridge mused.

Ethan stroked the cat and nodded as the slytherin boy spoke, "Anyone care to list a few of Bertie's flavours? Why did he invent them anyway?"

"Good thing it was banned! Though I have had the fortune of hearing the first few minutes of the Wizarding Suite; such a cacaphony of sound it is! Not all unpleasant. So, can anyone guess why she might have included an exploding Tuba?"

Barry raised his hand for each question "I think that he might have cooked an egg to find the uses? And some flavers off the top of my head are earwax, bogey and sprout. I think he invented them for fun. I mean eating something you have no idea of what it`ll be is quite a adventure. About the woman who wanted to tell the world of her secret, I think she belived by letting muggles into the secret would make them equal as they were not always thought.I think she deserves to be on the card because of the strange things she did!

"That's what I was thinking too. Or she just thought everything would be better if everything was out in the open." Whitney said,raising her hand just in case. She knew how hard it was to balance her muggle and Hogwarts life. "I don't think she should've gotten sent away just for trying to help."

"Carlotta Pinkstone could have just been.. well, not 'all there' upstairs so to speak, that would be an easy reason as to why she would try to expose us. However, I don't even agree with my own suggestion there, nor do I think she meant any real harm by it." Savannah said thoughtfully, thinking it over as she spoke. "She wanted to lift the Statute of Secrecy, I think her intentions were pure; Wishing for both magical and non-magical beings to acknowlege eachother for who they were and live as one without having to hide who we truly are just because they aren't like us. Maybe?" She mused, getting slightly lost as to where she was going with this. Her cheeks colored a light pink, "Admittedly, it seems like a nice dream but not something that's possible at this time, or back then. Too many stubborn people unwilling for such a change." A chaos would break loose, the entire dream would turn into a dangerous mess for both kinds. How sad.

"I think they are all most deserving." she said. "Whether they caught a snitch in three seconds, or invented candy, they all did something amazing, and deserved to get on the card. Because if they didn't all deserve to be there...well then they wouldn't be obviosuly."

"Sand flavour's not too bad." Clifford inclined his head at Truebridge. "Tasted a bit too dry for my liking though." He grinned, brow furrowing in thought. Why did he invite not-so-nice flavours? That was a toughie.

"I think.." He started, hand still in the air. "It makes eating the beans more ... fun, if some of them are gross, y'know. You dunno if you're gonna get a nice one or a disgusting one.. like a lucky dip, ain't it?" FUN!

Celandine raised her hand thoughtfully, "I think Quong Po chose the liondragon because of easy access since he was living in China. I expect he might have been a potioneer and thats how he got the idea to experiment with the uses of the eggs. He probably used them as a substitute for something else and got some cool results."

Celandine thought about Plumpton next, "Probably Chaser, because he invented a pass right? Or... Cela paused, not knowing much about quidditch, is it a pass where the Quaffle is passed or where the person passes someone else, because maybe he was a Beater?"

She bounced slightly at the questions about Bertie Bott.

"Oh I like Cinnamon, and apple, blood, mint, turkey, fruit salad, bubblegum and bacon flavour! I heard he accidentally included socks in his first batch. Probably he liked the idea of being able to trick people into eating his socks so much he included other nasty things."

These questions were making her think. Cela, hand still up answered, "The Tuba lady, maybe it was a conspiracy to murder someone? Or provide a distraction so that a crime could be committed?" Celandine speculated.

Cela chewed her lip thoughtfully, "Maybe the lady who wanted to get rid of the statute had muggle friends? Or was Muggleborn or..." Cela paused, "She would have been alive during the first Wizarding War right? Maybe she thought if the Muggles knew, they could help defeat Voldemort?" Cela speculated.

"I don't know If I can choose one without really knowing their motives properly." Cela chewed her lip, "But if I had to I'd say Quong Po because of how much more we know about Dragons in general from his studies."

It was rather embarassing to still be standing on his desk attempting to catch a the chocolate frog that seemed to insist upon dangling from the light fixture, but Copernicus was much more dismayed that he was missing the chance to discuss famous wizards and witches with his classmates. With one last reach, he grabbed the frog and immediately slid down into his seat. Please please don't be Agrippa.

Probably not the best part of the job, and if he were tasting feet, particularly other people's feet, if he hadn't gotten their permission, he maybe got the odd handbag to the side of the head. Also not the best part of the job." Tobi pondered some more. What possessed Bott to make Every Flavour Beans.

Probably the lack of variety in Muggle Beans "Sir, maybe Bertie Bott was part Muggle, I am, have you ever tasted their Beans? Jelly Beans, they're called, unless you get the gourmet beans that they make, Muggle Beans come in a whole whopping 6 flavours! And they're all sweet and pleasant. There is no risk in eating them. What's so interesting about that? Maybe he wanted to make the Muggle treat more interesting."

Varius raised his hand after hearing many of his other classmates' opinions and then decided to give his own, "I am only discussing who I think is the most deserving of their published card. Clearly, all deserve to be on their own card, but Pinkstone has that little bit extra. Sure, there are those who have made inventions, such as my own card Perpetua Fancourt, others made discoveries like Quong Po and others broke records - but Pinkstone made her own dent, she used force and brutality, she stood up for what she believed in despite the consequences and she suffered them in her fight for what she believed and wanted."

"What I am trying to say is, she is different to the others, she didn't create or discover anything, except for the fights she caused through her principles and the state of Azkaban prison and she still didn't suceed! And yet, she is known as one of the most famous witches of our time - what she did was fabulous, if not a little obsessive. She's a legend, to say the least - a grand role model for younger wizards, sending a message of speak and you shall be heard (even if people still don't agree). Basically, have your opinions and stick with them! Don't let people change them! What she represents is an entire life motto and way of living. She is honourable."

Jake was baffled. A pass that wasn't really a pass. What? But he shook it off and raised his hand into the air.

"Sir," he said. "I'm sorry for butting in, but maybe Bertie Bott invented the not-so-nice flavours as a way to discourage gluttony and greed?" That was Jake's view anyway. "And if they're really less than two-hundred flavours then they can't possibly be 'Every Flavour Beans', just thought I'd mention that," Jake added. It had been bugging him since he heard how many flavours there were.

Juniper frowned slightly and bit her nail as she pondered a deeper reason for having an exploding tuba. To her, music and performances and such had always been simply entertainment. So, other than entertainment, she really could not fathom any reason to have one. Unless... Juniper raised her hand again as a sudden thought sparked in her mind.

"Professor, perhaps the exploding tuba was a means of expressing herself. Perhaps calm, non-exploding musical instruments just couldn't convey the emotions Musidora Barkwith felt when she was writing the piece," Juniper said. "And perhaps that's why she never finished writing Wizarding Suite! Because her emotions got the better of her and she-she just couldn't express herself within the confines of the piece anymore, so she let the tuba explode and... and yeah." Juniper reddened slightly, embarrassed by the lame ending of her theory.

Rian thought quite a bit about her answer, and that was why it had taken her a while to respond to the proffessor's question. "Sir?" she asked, raising her hand, "I think Bertie Bott would be the most deserving..." she said thoughtfully.

Oops that's what you get for drifting off, Kayla raised her hand. "My apologies Professor, it won't happen again. To answer your question each and every one of those witches and wizards are deserving of their title on the chocolate frog card.
