Still with Aggie's hand clasped firmly in his, Tobi walked briskly down the corridor.
"I ought to go and throw you into the lake." He huffed; apparently Aggie's temper was catching, "I know Daphne can wear on your nerves, but do you have to pick fights with her? Or with her groupie? She needs all the friends she can get - they're the best chance she has to get socialized into a more palatable person."
Why can't you just turn the other cheek? WHY are you acting so strange lately?
Tobi stomped along.
"Can't you pick on someone your own size? I mean fighting with the Thirdsies' is hardly a fair match up."
Though Daphne would still have taken the duel.

Aggie was lagging a bit behind seeing as Tobi’s legs were almost twice as long as hers. He was half-pulling her down the hallway behind him. “What your words there….she is my size.” You Twitt. “But if you meant knowledge wise – well, she sure was a smarty-pan-“ Tobi gave her arm a jerk. “Ouch! You’re pulling my arm out of my socket Tobi…”
“And besides- it’s not socializing when you’re bullying kids younger or smaller then you. Being rich,” she said gruffy. “Does not give you the right to think you’re better then someone else.” The DeWitts had been fighting against that for years. Pureblooded up until her parents married, the DeWitts were never had much in the way of money.

"Ever consider that she just has a messed up kind of social protocal that she follows?" he himself had seen it on the train when she'd rescued him from Cale's mad honking daffodil. Daphne Hopton thought that there was a certain way of doing things. An antiquated belief system if you will. Like that anything dirty was to be disposed of, not perhaps cleaned. Formal introductions were imperitive. The world had a certain order about it, and it must be maintained or things went terribly wrong.
"Could it be, Agatha, that she doesn't think she's better, but she thinks she's right, and you're wrong, not unlike how you think YOU'RE right, and SHE'S wrong?"

Still, she thought stubbornly. She doesn’t need to act like a highbrow purple pedant.

"Temper's not waning any is it?" Tobi asked, pulling her along, he surpressed a smile, because he figured she was conceding defeat in her own way.
"Should go throw you in the lake then?" It was an empty threat, even HE couldn't manage to get down five flights of moving stairs, out through the front doors and across the court yard to the lake with a flailing Aggie. Some teacher would stop him, and then he'd be in detention until he was 40. Not to mention Aggie would eventually break free and curse him into oblivion.
"I just can't figure what has gotten into you lately."

“The temper’s fine,” she lied staring daggers at the back of Tobi’s head as she purposefully dragged behind him now arm outstretched as Tobi kept a firm grip on her hand. It was amazing how much she could get riled up around Tobi and yet the man had the ability to calm her down as well.
Until he made comments like those about tossing her into the lake. “Do it,” she said softly. “And die.”
She fumed quietly as she followed him down the corridor not bothering to attempt to try to free herself from Tobi’s grip. Even she didn’t fully understand why she was so touchy lately. Maybe she had taken a blood boiling potion without realizing it. Then again, perhaps it was Tobi’s infuriatingly welcomed and quite frequent company that was just driving her nuts.

Tobi laughed softly. "Oh I'm quite sure you WOULD kill me." He stopped walking, turning around to face Aggie.
"But you have to admit, it's not a bad way to go." He smiled, painting an image for her, "Here lies Tobias Benjamin Avalon, A promising Chef, whose life was snuffed out all to early, because he tried to bait-slash-bathe an angry witch. He was drowned in the process. The Giant Squid said he looked like he was having fun as he turned blue."

Aggie stared at Tobi. Was he honestly talking about his death? Was he really that macabre?Honestly to joke about one's death like that, but at the mention of the giant squid, Aggie erupted into hysterical fits of laughter.
“I didn’t know,” she gasped between laughing. “That the squid could talk.” She pulled on Tobi’s arm a little as she laughed.

Tobi didn't know if the Giant Squid could talk either. As a rule if there was any sign of it, he got away from the lake toot sweet.
"I'm sure someone knows how to communicate with it." Tobi shrugged. "And when the day finally comes that you strangle me, they'll pull out all the stops, get witnesses, call a national day of mourning. They'll surely ostracize you, if only because I make a superiour chocolate souffle that will be lost to the world. So really, Ag, it's in your best interests to put up with me."
Tobi grinned his cocky crooked grin, it was a coin toss whether or not it would make Aggie smile too, or make her want to knock it off his face.

He took two long strides and caught up with Aggie, who was about 6 strides ahead of him, they quickly fell into step without even trying.
He wanted to ask if she was feeling better, but he feared that if he brought the subject up again, she'd get angry again. Her laughter suggested she was in better humour, but Tobi didn't pretend to understand girls. Not moodwise anyway.

He'd gamble on her demeanour when they got there. If she was getting testy again, they'd head down to the kitchens, if she was in a good mood, up they went to their respective dorm rooms, to get a few winks. Classes began all too soon, and he didn't want to face Professor K sans all forty of his winks and then some.

Reese wandered into the fifth corridor and looked around.There were only a few people in here and they seemed to be talking among themselve.Reese sighed and walked over to the wall and sat her bag down.She slid down next to it and pulled out some paper and a pencil.She started doodling little hearts around her paper.She couldn't believe she has been single for almost a week.She really did miss Lucas,though.
