She wanted to spit. That Slytheirn girl had just chased away the Blood Baron and he was the one ghost the rest of them were looking for! She stood still to see if the other ghosts would follow him or still have their meeting.

Oh great! They were all squashed behind some statues trying to spy on the ghosts and find out what they were up to and why the Mirror of Erised was back in Hogwarts and the Bloody Baron just decided to poof! Just like that!

"Er...so what are we supposed to do now?" Did they stay waiting here to see what the other ghosts were going to do or perhaps they should split up and follow the Bloody Baron and the others follow the other ghosts. Oooh now that would be fun.

*Gabben turned to the group and shrugged a now what kind of look. He turned back to the ghosts and waited to see what they were going to do next.*

"I say we stay here and see what they are going to do, and then we split up and look for the Blood Baron." She whispered to everyone.

*Gabben nodded to the younger girl then turned back to the ghosts. He forgot that ghosts took there time doing things. He wanted to let out a loud sigh but held it in.*

Cale looked at the others and sighed. That stupid snooty ghost had just ruined everything. "Well, he said to meet them at the spot...so, they're going somewhere else. We just need to find that place," he whispered quietly.

He looked and watched the rest of the ghosts--hopefully one of them would start floating in one direction, rather than just poofing into thin air dramatically like the Slytherin ghost.

Seeing Cale squeeze into the group behind the statues, Anna lightly pushed he way through her friends, snuck up behind Cale, and wrapped her arms around him. "Hey, Sweetie," she whispered, so that only he could hear her. She then moved to stand beside him, where she had a closer look at the remaining ghosts. "Well, I say we follow these last few ghosts when they make their leave," she said. "So pretty much all we do now is wait."

Lyra still didn't speak a word as she listened to the others speak. She nodded her head towards Paris, Anna and Cale, agreeing with what they said. She would work with anyone at this point as this meant she was gathering gossip which was pure love to her.

Reese looked from Cale to Anna to Kayla to Paris.So,they were ghost hunting?Haha.She was so NOT going to miss out on this. "I wonder where to spot is,"she whispered.Se watched the other ghost,wondering when they were going to start moving floating to "the spot".

*Gabben still turned to the others and frowned.* "Thatd be great if we could go after them but, where'd they go?"

*He pointed to the spot where the ghosts had been. It was now empty air. They must have faded away or walked into a wall when they weren't looking.*
"I think... I know where the spot is..."

Mariel cautiously walked through the corridor, wand at the ready, and glanced over her shoulder every few seconds to make sure no one was going to jump out from behind her. As if she weren't paranoid enough, this DADA assignment was nearly making her jump out of her skin. At least she was being vigilant.

Meh. Thinking of assignments made her realize that she still had to work on Charms and her CoMC journal. Just when the young Ravenclaw thought she had gotten a jump on homework, she got assigned more. She was sure to get History of Magic and Arithmancy work soon as well. Was it her or was there a lot more work this year? She didn't think that would happen until fifth year.

Well, whatever. With her back against the wall to make sure no one was behind her, Mariel pulled out her planning book, still keeping her wand in her hand. She made a few notes trying to figure out where she could fit in practice along with studying to keep up her good marks. It might be difficult but she was a master of time management and knew she could figure out a way to fit everything in.

With her wand at the ready Nancy slowly wandered down the Fifth Floor Corridor continuously glancing over her shoulder to make sure that nobody was following and/or about to attack her. St. Mungo's, here I come! The third year rolled her eyes slightly at her own jumpiness due to this whole DADA assignement, it really was driving her into complete paranoia. Eep!
Then her eyes fell on the object she had clutched tightly in her left hand which was the actual reason she was on this floor. Well, not the reason she was on this floor actually since once again she'd just somehow ended up on this floor but it didn't exactly matter on which floor she did her Charms homework. There were enough possibilities to practice the Alohomora charm on every floor, at least that's what Nancy'd thought until she'd stepped off the moving staircase and had found herself confronted with a pretty empty corridor with nothing, absolutely nothing to put that little lock in her hand on. Meh.

Just as Nancy was about to turn a corner with a rather sour look on her face she stopped dead in her tracks as she heard somekind of rustling, as if somebody turned pages of a book or something, from the other side of the corner. Maybe this was a chance to do her DADA assignment, hopefully it was somebody from another house who had one of those DADA-badges pinned to their robes. She waited for a few seconds before gripping her wand tightly with her right hand and rounding the corner her wand immediately aiming at that certain someone who was standing there apparently reading a book.

A surprised gasp escaped her lips as she finally recognized whom she'd just almost hexed and she quickly let her arm fall to her side with an apologetic look on her face. "Mariel! Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you." Well, she hadn't actually hexed her friend so there should be no need for apologies in the first place but whatever, just in case.

Ana walked through the corridor with her eyes very opened. She didn't want to be surprised. She turn left and in front of her she saw a Ravenclaw, not too much older than her.

"Hi!" she called her and the girl looked Ana casted the Canary Transfiguration Hex. That should be a a funny hex.

Mariel instinctively tightened the grip on her wand and snapped her eyes up and away from her book as she was certain she heard footsteps approaching. Great, she was sure it was someone about to hex her. Either that or her paranoia was definitely increasing. Hopefully it would be someone she was well-matched against. It just wouldn't be fair if it was some seventh-year equipped with an arsenal of non-verbal spells.

Holding her wand at the ready, she felt her pulse quicken as a figure turned the corner. The Ravenclaw girl was prepared. She would not attack first just in case it was someone from her own house or one not wearing a badge, but would be ready with a shield if the need would arise.

Relief flooded her face when she saw that it was Nancy. She was glad to see her lower her wand, because, though they weren't in the same house, Mariel wouldn't have been able to hex her friend. Maybe for fun in the dueling arena, but not a surprise attack in the corridors. The Ravenclaw girl lowered her wand as well, still keeping it out in case of someone else wandering around, and grinned at her friend. "Hey Nancy," she said, then waved her hand dismissively as she apologized. "No worries, we all need to be on constant alert." Unless you want some nasty hex cast on you, which did not entice the dark-haired girl in the least.

"So, wasn't flying class awesome?" she said with a grin. "I think flying dodgeball is almost as fun as Quidditch." Almost. Was anything as fun as Quidditch? Mariel didn't think so. "And the Slytherclaws were victorious," she added with a giggle. But speaking of Quidditch... "Hey, I saw your name on Slytherin's roster. Congratulations! Beater is a fun position. You can really take out your aggressions on those bludgers." Not to mention hitting them towards people.

Mariel froze at her last words, hearing more footsteps. Gripping her wand tightly, she turned slightly to face the direction of the sound of an approaching person. Smirking as she saw a younger Huffie girl, she raised an eyebrow as the girl actually greeted her before sending a hex her way.

"Protego," the Ravenclaw girl said casually as she flicked her wand in the correct motion, her shield charm deflecting the Canary Transfiguration Hex and sending it back to her. Mariel followed that with an x-shaped flick of her wand and commanded, "Verto genu!" And sent the Knee-reversing hex towards the Hufflepuff girl.

"Just a friendly little tip," she told the girl dryly. "Don't announce your presence if you want to surprise someone." This could be kind of fun, but also annoying. She was trying to have a conversation with Nancy. A bit difficult to do when warding off unfriendly spells. Winking at Nancy, Mariel turned back to the Hufflepuff and said with a malicious grin, "So... are you gonna take on both of us?"

"Protego!"she said doing the right movement. Two spells... that was tough but her shield was able to resist both. "I'm sorry i didn't saw." she said.

Nancy found herself face to face with Mariel who had her wand tightly clutched in her hand as well and whose facial expression must have been quite similar to the one that was currently on her own face. She was glad that her friend immediately dismissed her apologies and with a roll of her eyes the third year said, "Gee! This whole assignment is totally driving me insane." Then cocking her head slightly to the side as she quickly glanced at Mariel facial expression again she added with a small laugh, "I guess you're not exactly feeling too comfortable either, right?" She was still waiting for some report about an incident that surely was going to happen during this DADA assignment, this was something which just couldn't have a happy ending.

Oooh, but back to more cheerful and exciting topics, top on this list being Quidditch and everything somehow related to it. Nodding enthusiastically in agreement Nancy said returning Mariel's grin, "Oh, yes, it so was. That dodgeball really was a lot of fun but-" Here she tilted her head slightly to the side before adding with a smirk, "-definitely not as much fun as playing Quidditch! No, definitely not. But yes, us Slytherclaws, we were so awesome." She chuckled happily at the thought of that last Flying Lesson before she simply hugged Mariel at the girl's next words with a huge beam plastered across her face. "Yes! I made it! Isn't that like soooo awesome?! And you made it too! That's just soooo fantastic!!!!" At her friend's explanation as to why Beater was an amazing position to play Nancy had to think back at the conversation she'd had with Clifford a some time ago who had said exactly the same thing as Mariel had. "Yes, I guess that's pretty handy, right? Hopefully there are a lot of people I don't like on our opposing teams." She chuckled darkly at the thought of hitting a bludger in Jack's direction, for instance.

Nancy stopped moving for an instant just as Mariel next to her stiffened as well as she heard footsteps approaching them causing her to hold her breath until the owner of those footsteps turned out to be a Hufflepuff firstie who first introduced herself and then immediately sent a hex flying Mariel's way. The third year cast a shielding charm right at the same moment her friend did and watched as the Canary Transfiguration Hex simply bounced off their shield. Next moment Mariel had already raised her wand once again to send a Knee-reversing hex the Hufflepuff's way which was, unfortunately, bounced off the girl's own shield, though.

Snickering at Mariel's comment Nancy only nodded while keeping an eye on the Hufflepuff girl even though she probably wasn't as stupid as to attack them again. A small vicious twinlke appeared in her eyes as she felt the urge to hex the little girl but thought better of it, it was two against one after all which wasn't exactly fair. Her brow furrowed as the little girl all of a sudden started to apologize and giving her an incredulous look she asked, "Uhm...what are you apologizing for again?" Weird people running around this castle.

Chris Potter came around the corner and saw a couple people dueling for the DADA lab. He took aim at the Slyhterin and sent a canary transfiguration hex at her.

Kayla stomped down the stairs cursing under her breath all the way down. Stupid bloody cow! Walks in like she's some sort of queen, takes her friend away from her and then acts all smug like. She reached the landing and looked around for a moment, where was - oh the fifth floor. Just another bloody five flights to go. Before she proceeded down to the next level, Kayla gave the banister a ferocious kick with her foot. Which did nothing to help her mood because now her toe hurt. "Ugh...I hate her!!"

*Gabben walked down the hall then ran to the yelling voice. He stopped to see Kayla at the top of the stairs. She looked very upset so he stayed a few feet away not sure what to do. Did she just kick the stairs? Better them then me.*
"Kayla... you ok?"

Ludo took the stairs two at a time, coming down from the floor above. He was still a bit upset about Professor Forrester and his House Points.

It was then however...that he saw a Hufflepuff in the corridor....wearing a D.A.D.A badge. He chuckled, pulling out his wand.
"Oy!" He called to the girl. He swished his wand in a looping motion and sent a Jelly-Legs jinx her way.

"Hey!" *He moved to stand in front of Kayla but was to late. Gabben pulled his wand out and pointed it at the boy.*
"Why the bloody 'ell you do that for?!"

Still holding on to her wand for dear life, Mariel mirrored Nancy's rolling eyes and nodded in agreement to her comment about the DADA assignment. "I know, right? I'm ready to jump out of my skin at the smallest noise or tiniest movement." Of course the thought of hexing others sounded pretty awesome, it was just that she was afraid of someone doing it to her. And most of those jinxes and hexes did not sound pleasant. The memory of being on the wrong end of the Bat Bogey Hex in the dueling arena was a little too fresh in her mind, not to mention being the target dummy for her sisters to practice on too many times to mention. Of course the latter reason was probably why she had gotten quite good at a shield charm.

Talk of Quidditch relaxed her nerves slightly. Grinning back at Nancy as she hugged her, she said, "See, did I tell you that you'd make the team? You did awesome at tryouts." Beaming back at her, she added, "Yes, I'm sooo excited to play Keeper! Just, uh, don't hit any bludgers my way." The Ravenclaw girl was mostly joking, though, as she knew that was just a risk of the game. Besides, the Keepers usually weren't in much danger of being hit as they stayed at the end of the pitch.

Mariel frowned as the little Hufflepuff girl was able to deflect both hexes. She was pretty sure the girl was a first year, so how was it that she was able to cast such a durable shield? Mariel narrowed her eyes and watched the girl suspiciously. She glanced back at Nancy as the girl apologized and shrugged. Turning back to the younger girl, she said slowly, "Uh, no need to apologize. It is the assignment after all." Although being vigilant, then interrupted was getting annoying when trying to have a conversation. So the girl didn't seem like she wanted to take on both of them, but Mariel kept a suspicious eye on her just to be sure. No way was she letting her guard down.

Acquiring her malicious grin again, Mariel turned to Nancy. "You know," she said slowly, "Now would be the perfect time to get back at Mr. Cat-Kicker. You can hex him and not even get a detention. Blame it on the assignment." No sooner did she have that thought when Mariel heard footsteps yet again. This was starting to get irritating. Gripping her wand even tighter, she saw a Gryffidor boy that seemed kind of familiar come around the corner. "Nancy, look out!" she exclaimed as she saw the boy point his wand at her back. Now would be the perfect time to try the enlarged shield the professor taught her. Sweeping her wand upwards in Chris's direction, she added a horizontal shift ending with a flick and commanded, "Protego!" Instantly a shield appeared in front of her blocking all three girls from the hex the boy cast. She hadn't intentionally shielded the Huffie who just dared to hex her, but she was still in their vicinity so it worked out that way.

Kayla was still standing by the stairs fuming when she heard someone's voice and she turned towards the voice and noticed he had his wand out. Oh crap!! She drew her own but it was too late, she was hit by his jinx and her legs started to wobble around everywhere. She quickly hit the floor and waved her wand sending a hurling hex back towards him.

"It's alright Gabben, it's part of a DADA assignment. But hey thanks for coming to my rescue anyway" Kayla gave him a smile. "Can you lift the jin for me though?"

Maddox had finally caught up to kayla when some ravenclaw he had never seen before shot a hex at her for not reason. Then he remembered the DADA game that was going on, that he forgot to sign up for...blast it! He shook the thought off and sent a non-verbal finite incantatem at Kayla so that her legs would go back to normal. He rushed forward to her side and said, "Kayla are you alright?"

Well this really wasn't helping her mood any. Bloody Ravenclaws, were they all out to get her or something. Her legs wouldn't stop wobbling and she felt like bursting into tears but it would be a cold day in hell before she cried at school and in front of people. Kayla, threw herself backwards and looked at the ceiling and it was then that her legs stopped twitching and she heard Maddox's voice. "No I'm bloody well not!"
