Camira couldn't help but overhear Nico, nor could she help the laughter that followed. She quickly stifled it for fear of getting bickered at by Cassandra.

Camira rolled her eyes. Dominic was always so mean. Talk about a fatal character flaw. "Just ignore him. He has issues with girls. I think it's an inferiority complex", she said, whispering the last part, wry grin on her face.

She nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay at it, but I wish I was better", she said honestly, before opening her book.

Oooh. So they thought Nico was cute, did they? Interesting. "Might want to be careful with that one", she said quietly. "You'll probably have to wait in line." Nico and his fangirls. It was awesome.

He wanted to crawl into her lap and snuggle and drink a big glass of milk with some chocolate chip cookies. She was sweeter than pie for looking out for him. He flashed her a bright smile and a small wave. he was really ok, but it was nice to know that there were some people at Hogwarts that still looked out for the little guy.

He smiled and waved at Nico. After all the boy had let him cry on his leg. The least he could do was to be nice to him. he wanted to say hi but the thought of Ms. Trelawney severing his tongue with her wand stopped him.

Oh Mariel! He had missed her dearly since they became mirror people. He waved at her and hoped that she saw him. He wanted to talk to her, but this was out of the question under Trelawney's hawk like eyes staring down at them.

'Nico!?' Whitney'd never actually looked at Nico that way. He was just her friend. "Nico? He's just friend. I'm assuming talking isn't a big thing in this class. I'm okay for now, if something happens I'll move. Now, before we get in trouble, study" she said lowering her voice to a whisper and winking. Whitney had a pretty big feeling that Slytherin and Gryffindor were going to have some points taken away and Nico of all people wouldn't forgive her.

Nicholai's lip twitched at the label 'cute' and looked up at this Megan girl briefly enough to speak, "It's Nicholai, actually."

Nico smiled at Whitney, she was a sweet kid. And Slytherin. So... instant win. He had a list of younger students that he kept an eye out for and she'd managed to snake her way onto it quite easily.

"Hmmm," Nicholai overheard Camira's comment, "Take a number." He looked up at winked at them, indicating he was joking.

Nicholai smiled kindly at Lucas and pointed at Whitney, indicating that Lucas should be revising his textbook also. He turned the page and crossed his feet over the other way on the chair.

"Ok, if you're sure," Hannah said to Whitney. She sighed. "You're right. I need to study."
Hannah tried to concentrate for a few moments, but then Camira made the "inferiority complex" comment and she had to giggle.
She glanced back over at the rogue winker (that's what she'd decided to call him in her head since she didn't know his name). "Oh, I don't have a romantic interest in him. He's not really my type. He is good-looking though."

"Well of course, have you not seen him?" she replied, knowing Nico was listening. "There's no need to wait.I'm in the top five" she said almost laughing.

Than she looked up and saw Nico looking at her. She winked again knowing he knew she was only joking, smiled and just as she was going back to reviewing, she saw him look at another student and point at her. "Psst, you should do the same" she whispered to him smiling. Finally, she started rereading the last chapter.

Hannah idly flipped a page she hadn't even read. She had such an issue at not talking during times like this. Sometimes she just got the yearning to chatter incessantly (er, actually, that happened kind of a lot with her...). She shifted positions and scanned the room.

Hmm. Raiden knew that voice. Prying his eyes away from his book, he looked to his left and saw that Nicholai Toussaint was here. Yay! He hadn't seen Nicholai Toussaint since the Hospital Wing... He wondered what his detention had been like, but then decided it was best not to ask about it right now. What if it upset Miss Healer Intern Lady Trelawney that she'd had to punish all of them? She didn't seem as if she took pleasure in punishing the students... the poor lady, they'd probably caused her heart to break by making her punish them... Raiden slid his book over onto the next desk and hopped out of his chair, moving to the one where Nicholai had his feet and tapping the toe of the older boy's shoe.

"Hello, Nicholai Toussaint!" he said, smiling. "Can I sit next to you today?"

He stuck his hands into the pockets of his robes and bounced on his heels.

Mariel pinched the bridge of her nose with her thumb and forefinger as she read the same paragraph for the third time. It was so difficult to concentrate on the text with all the talking going on around her. It figures that she would seat herself in the middle of some sort of drama. She just hoped that if Trelawney started taking points that she wouldn't be caught in the crossfire.

Glancing around the room furtively, she noticed Lucas give her a wave. She discreetly waved back and gave him an awkward smile. Mariel would get up and sit next to him, seeing as she unknowingly chose the chatty area of the classroom to sit, but figured Trelawney wouldn't approve of musical chairs. She wondered if he had finished his map. She could certainly use a copy.

Nicholai chuckled slightly as Whitney spoke loud enough for him to hear. "Only if you do well in this class, Whitney- I'll be watching." he teased.

Nico looked down at his boot and up at Raiden's big smile. Obligingly Nicholai swung his feet off the chair and pulled it out slightly for the boy.
"Alright, Raiden; but how about studying instead of bouncing, hmmm?"

Raiden nodded and pulled his hands out of his pockets to drag his bag over to the new seat; with the action, he dislodged a folded, faded piece of paper that had been jammed in there. He didn't even notice it as it landed on the other side of the chair, next to Nicholai Toussaint. Raiden dropped his bag next to the chair, on the other side, then grabbed his quill and parchment off the desk.

"I like studying Charms. They're fun," he said brightly, back still to Nicholai Toussaint as he picked up the inkpot. "This might be my favourite subject... but I'm not very good at it..."

He dropped the bit of parchment and swiped at it as it floated downward.

"Eeep."

"It's alright Raiden it isn't my best subject either, but we will both try our hardest for Intern Trelawney, won't we?" Nicholai couldn't help but smile at the kid. When he dropped his piece of parchment Nicholai stooped sideways and picked it up, scooping up a piece of paper in the process. He passed the parchment sheet to Raiden and frowned at the folded up paper; unaware that Raiden had dropped that also. He unfolded it and began to read.

'He heard me.' Whitney laughed at his comment. "I'm in Slytherin, remember?" she said remembering their little "secret. "Oh but than I'm gonna have to be your number one."

"Thank you, Nicholai Toussaint," Raiden said, grinning when the older boy handed him the parchment he'd just dropped; Raiden set it down on the desk and sat down abruptly, staring down at the book on the desk. "I want to make Miss Int- erm, Miss Trelawney happy with me again. I don't like making her upset...She was probably sad because she had to give us all detention. I don't think she likes punishing people... she's too nice."

He turned a page in the book and stared at it a bit more. He could only remember a little bit at the moment. The confusion of the staircase incident had pushed the stuff he'd learned that day out of his mind, and Charms had been something he'd learned that day... He wrinkled his nose as he thought.

Nicholai waggled his eyebrows and tapped his book firmly, indicating that she better prove it. She was sweet but if she felt the wrath of Trel she'd regret being distracted. Even Nicholai didn't want to push it more than he had already- considering last time he had spoken to the Intern was during a detention he'd somehow managed to pick up while... sleeping.

And of course, as he thought about the detention, Raiden mentioned it. Merlin's beard! Raiden got detention too? Nicholai merely looked at the kid and nodded in agreement. Noticing his stare he smiled and flipped Raiden's book forward a page and tapped the appropriate section with one finger before turning back to the paper he had picked up. Apparently a letter. He continued reading and actually felt the weirdest sensation like the floor was dropping out from under him. Without turning his head he examined Raiden, several things now clicking into place. Hmm. Casually he folded the letter and placed it in a pocket, intending to give it back to the kid later. But for now; studying. Nico returned to his textbook and began to read it quietly.

Whitney knew exactly what Nico was implying. She'd have to prove it first and if she didn't get back to rereading those few chapters again she would get in big trouble. So she turned back to the beginning of the chapters,having read them once already,and read them more thoroughly.

Hannah swung her feet under desk - not enough to disturb anyone, but enough to keep her entertained. She didn't want to risk talking more, but she was so bored!

The page he'd been staring at very suddenly turned and Raiden blinked before he realized that Nicholai had been the page-turner, and he was pointing at the spot where Raiden was supposed to be studying. Oooh. Raiden felt his face turn a bit pink; he smiled at Nicholai as the older boy moved back to reading a bit of parchment... probably notes from the last class, Raiden thought.

"Thank you, Nicholai Toussaint," Raiden said, as he looked back to the book and started reading down the page.

Curt laughed to Rapunzel, and shrugged in agreement. “I’ll be there. No worries.” He added with an anxious smile. They game was getting closer by the minute, Curt was simply dying to get back out there. “It’s time for us to finally take back the cup. It’s been awhile now.” Curt said with a sigh, last win was his third year.

His voice instinctively dropping with Punzie’s, he looked up to Trelawney’s desk to see if she was listening in after all. It didn’t seem like it. “I know right? Ah well, I bet we go over some sort of offensive charm today. She is always on the attack it seems like.” Curt said with a wry grin, as he continued to rapidly spin his wand through his fingers like a baton.

No tention, it seemed. Curt’s raised an eyebrow to this, he fully expected them to be having some serious problems at this point. “That’s good to know.” Curt said with a smile, he’d been in the common room himself quite a bit, but he’d been on the pitch just as much though. “I see. Well he’s in NEWTS and you’re doing OWLS, so it’s understandable. At least it’s not like last year. I saw Vannah once at Hogsmeade the entire year, it was torture.” Curt laughed at the thought, that one meeting was great though, no doubt.

Sapphire sat at her desk facing the front quietly thinking waiting for the lesson to begin she had over heard some of the students talking about detentions with her and Sapphire was not going risk getting one, she wondered what they would be learning today anyway?

Jessica waited quietly for the lesson to begin, although her patience was coming to an end. She decided not to start talking with others, because it was one of the most common ways of getting some points deducted from her house.

Astrid looked up from her textbook and watched the others quietly. There were some many Slytherins in this class. Wow! Must be what you get when Intern Trelawney was teaching a class. She shook her head and smiled at Nico before returning her eyes to her book. Hopefully she'd at least be able to earn some points for her house.

Freya had tuned out all of the discussions going on around her while she flipped through her charms book, taking a couple of notes before closing it. She spotted a few other students she knew and gave them a small wave before concentrating some more on what they might be going over today.

Hayden sat there quietly. She had her book out trying to review. She had no need for midless chatter.
