Patricia thought this one out before raising her hand. "I'd use Nox for one thing, extinguishing all the lights in the room.. The students would immediately stop throwing anything since they couldn't see where they were shooting the food. When everything would be sufficiently be quiet, I'd use a Lighting spell to see the damage that has been done." She lowered her hand and waited to see how she did with her answer.

It spoke again... She really didn't like the boy, but he had given an acceptable answer... a good one at that. Expelliarmus, Avis... and Aguamenti was a real creative spell to use in this situation. But she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing that. "Six points, Mr. Toussaint already mentioned Levicorpus." Then in a softer voice she said, "One more for creativity."

"Ahhh the innocence of a child..." she said rolling her eyes, "Even if that would work, evanesco, the vanishing charm, was already suggested."

"Yeaaaahmmmm..." Weird kid...

"Alright, odd way to do it Miss Hudonson... but alright, two points, one more for creativity" She said smirking.

"Very good Little One..." Cassandra said to the sweet little slytherin boy, "Two points and one more for creativity."

"Very good Miss Malkin," she said smiling, "Four points."

She clapped her hands, "Alright, if you haven't answered the previous two questions, you may still do so. As for the rest of you..." Her wand went to the board again and the last of the situations came up on the board:

Astrid raised her hand and said, "Well first I would would use the Accio charm to bring over a step stool so that I would be at a more appropriate height to use magic around the house. Then I would use the Scourgify charm and the Evanesco charm to clean every dirty surface and remove all of the the trash. For the curtains, I would use Wingardium Leviosa to remove the old curtains and to help hang the new, clean ones."

Raiden's hand went up. "Uhm... does Oppugno work on non-living objects? If so, you could use it on the cleaning stuff and make them clean while you do your homework." He smiled. "And you could use Locomotor to take down the curtains and replace them..." He thought for a second. "If they don't want the curtains anymore, you could use Deletrius on them, and dissolve them..."

He was earning points! He could've burst with happiness. Maybe Miss Healer Intern Lady Trelawney wasn't mad at him anymore, after all!

Still dwelling about Camira apologizing to him and then something on pranks, it took awhile for Dominic to notice that the intern lady had begun. Finally listening to the other students ramble and then Trelawney ask her third 'case', Dominic decided he ought to speak up.

Thinking on the first case, there was one charm that he didn't think had been mentioned which could be useful in retrieving an object. Raising his hand, the fourth year spoke, "Couldn't you possibly use the patronus charm? Which would conjure an animal that could be useful in running messages or retrieving items from you, such as a book. All it requires is an extremely happy memory, plus the incantation expecto patronum"


A lot of people already seemed to give good charms on this particular case, so Dominic had to really think hard on something new to add. Plus the fact that he'd have to restrain from throwing objects himself. Sighing thoughtfully, Dominic raised his hand again before answering, "Well first of all, if students weren't responding to my words, then wouldn't it be advisable to get a professor? If that weren't a viable option, then you could possibly use the silencio charm to at least make them quiet so they would stop giving you a headache...."

Putting his hand down to ponder the last case currently, Dominic blinked. First of all, his parents would never ask him to change the curtains or clean the house. Second of all, if he could, then wouldn't it be illegal as he is underage? And he was certainly not going to resort to muggle means....

Hand in the air again, Dominic sighed again before speaking, "Miss Trelawney? Well if we were of age, then we could use the scourgify charm to clean the house, but as most of us aren't of age, then how are we supposed to clean the house without magic as it is illegal to do so outside Hogwarts..." he recited verbatim what his letter had said in warning before coming to school.

Astrid raised her hand once more, "Ms. Trelawney ma'am, could one use the incantation "Pack" in order to have the misplaced objects in the room put themselves away? Or does that only work on trunks?" she asked, hoping that it wasn't a completely silly questions. She really was intrigued to find out the answer.

Patricia lifted her hand again. "I'd Levitate a ladder to the curtains so i could remove them. To clean up, I'd probably use a combination of Scourgify and Tergeo to remove grime and such. And maybe a polishing charm for table tops and wood surfaces." Her mother used to use those quite often and the house was almost always spotless... Almost.

Garret sighed inwardly again, resuming his initial pose: elbow propped up on desk and chin resting on hand, gazing forlornly at Miss Trelawney. She was under such high demand, it would be churlish of him to want to draw her attention to him and him alone.

Then as the other students went on and on about whatever it was they were studying, Garret cheerfully devised elaborate plots where he would have Miss Trelawney all to himself. They all involved fatal accidents with him ending up either in the Hospital Wing or the detention cells again. Brilliant.

Daphne wrote down the scenario, and began to think of highly creative ways to go about doing the task. She had a regiment all picked out for when she would be allowed to clean with magic. For the time being, her mum and dad would do it, but sometimes placed the burden on Daphne, who needed to do it the muggle way.

She raised her hand, choosing to share her well planned solution. "Well, Ms., I've thought quite a bit about tidying up. For the curtains, I have two options, one would be a Colour Change if the two sets of curtains are similar, but different hues. The other would be to actually swap the two, for which I would use Descendo to take the old ones down, and levitate the new ones up." She took a breath before heading into the long, complex part of her strategy.

"As for cleaning, there are several things that need to be done. Firstly, I would use Erecto to organise piles of stuff in various parts of the house. For rubbish and dust, I'd use Evanesco to vanish that lot," she continued, "Then to get to the dirty part, I'd use the Scouring Charm to clean up the bathroom, kitchen, and other places that require that strong a cleaning charm." She finished, having spit all that out fairly quickly. "Oh! And for anything else left over, I'd take some simple muggle utilities kept around the house and bewitch them to do their jobs, without having to actually physically use them."

Totally out of character Lucas glared up at the Intern. He was sick and tired of all the mean, nasty people around here bullying him, and he wasn't going to take it anymore. "You know if I wanted a lesson on how to be a bully I would have went to Durmstrang." He packed up his things and jumped down from his chair. "But since I came to Hogwarts I thought I was going to learn how to be a wizard, not a disgusting, nasty bully." He stamped his little foot and turned to leave the classroom. He didn't have to put up with students yelling at him and teachers rolling their eyes at him. Who did she think she was? She thought she had a patent on being mean. Ha, his grandmother could eat her for breakfast and wash down her little nurse's coat for lunch.

Anna, who'd been lounged back in her desk and twirling her hair for the past ten minutes, simply stared around the room, watching and listening as her classmates answered questions about cleaning house. She was not in the best of moods. First of all, one of her favorite professors---Professor Hawkins---was still missing, and no one had the slightest clue where she was or when she was coming back. Second of all, Cassandra Trelawney was currently teaching Charms. This was the girl Anna had always secretly tried to one-up during those few years she and Cassandra had attended Hogwarts together---as students. It sort of a stung a bit to have Cassandra Trelawney stand in an authoritative position over her now. Still, even though, Anna really did like Cassandra. She---challenged her.

Nevertheless, Anna sighed and finally spoke up. Raising her hand, she said, "Hmmm, well, I suppose I could cast a Cheering Charm on my parents to make sure that no matter what I ended up doing---or not doing---they'd still be happy about it. As for cleaning the house, most of those charms have already been named, but I guess if I were running late on time, I could cast the Invisibility Charm on one, two, or...a hundred items around the house, making them all invisible. Of course, I cast the Cheering Charm on my parents, so they'll happy about it regardless. Now, the curtains...cast Descendo on the current set to take them down, and a Hover Charm on the new set to get them high enough to hang them," she said.

Garret, who had not been paying attention to the lesson at all, was shaken out of his reverie by a rather irate male voice. He turned to the source of the interruption (honestly, daydream Trelawney was just about to tell him she loved him!) and glared at the rude little first year, "Oi, you take that back, Miss Trelawney ain't disgusting!"

She was probably a bully, but he loved that about her!

He got to his feet and took a step towards the kid, with the intention of holding his arms behind him until he apologized to Cassandra, his One True Love, for his rudeness... but his slightly too large feet got caught in the strap of his book bag and he stumbled instead. He only managed to save himself from complete humiliation by grabbing onto the back of his neighbour's chair.

Bugger, so much for being the knight in shining armour.

"Hmmm..." She said thinking. "Four points, one per charm"

She sighed, "Three points, one per charm." She looked around. "What am I looking for students?"

"Very well... two points." She said nodding to the boy.

Cassandra smiled, "Getting a professor is the best option, however, everything you said has already been suggested."

Cassandra smirked... "Ten points for figuring out you need to be of age to conduct this scenario. And two more for performing the scurgify as someone 'of age' "

"Yes, if you were of age..." she said looking at the girl. "Which you aren't, still, one point."

"But you are not of age..." She smirked, "One point for your Tergeo spell, and one for the Levitating one."

"Those would be wonderful ways, if you were of age." Cassandra said. "Four points."

Cassandra turned to the child who was leaving and said "Exit that door and you'll be sure to make your way to detention." She said and then pointed to his seat. "SIT. NOW." She didn't play games.

"Wonderful answer Prefect Greingoth, however you aren't of age... and therefor, those charms are not to be used." She smiled. "Three points nevertheless."

"Mr. Crocker!" She called and looked at him. "Thank you for defending my honor, 2 points for that, which I will swiftly take away for failing at your task. I am perfectly capable of defending my honor." She growled at him.

Garret blushed a deep red again, mortified that she had noticed his stupid blunder. If only he could charm his feet to co-operate with the rest of his body... or at least get the rest of his body to grow into his feet.

The points thing made him smile though, even as his cheeks still retained a pink tinge. His woman was so feisty, "Of course, Ms. Trelawney..." he said, looking everywhere but at her, "And if it's any, ya know, consolation of sumfink, I don't fink your honour needs defendin'. I just fink it ain't nice for someone to shout atchoo."

He shut up then, biting the inside of his cheek to keep his stupid mouth from saying anything more to embarrass him.

Lucas looked over at the boy who tried to stop him from leaving. Was he crazy? "I will take nothing back!" He said to him. He was going to keep talking but the boy tripped over himself and Lucas felt bad.

Lucas puffed his chest out. He wasn't going to be bullied anymore. The big people around here got away with that too much and it was high time someone stood up to them. "Being in a position of authority does not give you a free pass to be mean to people." He declared. "If standing up for something that is right will land me in detention then lock me up madame, but I will not sit here and let you treat me like dirt." He said. He was so going to end up as a wall hanging in her bedroom! He just knew it, but he was sick of being pushed around.

Raiden stared in horror at Lucas. What was he... Miss Healer Intern Lady Trelawney wasn't teaching them how to bully people... She was simply asking questions. Raiden looked at Nicholai and bit his lip. What if Lucas lost them points? Raiden was just starting to earn them again, and Nicholai had earned quite a few as well...

And then Mr. Crocker, whose first name Raiden was still unaware of, was up and telling off Lucas, and Raiden felt a little better when Miss Healer Intern Lady Trelawney didn't take points from Slytherin for Lucas' outburst... He wanted to ask Lucas to sit down, he really wanted to, but that would be speaking out of turn and he didn't want to anger Miss Healer Intern Lady Trelawney... Instead, he scanned down his book and thought about what she wanted them to answer for this question... How to be of-age... or...

"I think only a house elf would be able to do that, if you weren't of age... either that, or you'd have to do it without magic," Raiden said softly, his hand raised just a tiny bit above the edge of the desk, which he then put his head down on in shame when Lucas continued. They were so going to be charged points for this, and he could feel those he'd just earned slipping away from his house already. "Oh no..."

Cale grinned in satisfaction when he heard her practically whisper to him that he had gotten a point for creativity. Scoreeeeee! Raising his hand, he thought up his next answer quickly on the spot, hoping for maybe another creativity point. He highly doubted it--the shock of giving him, Cale Newell, two extra points would probably give her a heart attack. "Since I like the Avis spell so much, I'd probably conjure up more birds to help me take down the curtains," he explained. "Or, if I decided to do it the muggle way and clean them by hand, I'd use Accio to summon all the cleaning supplies to me so I don't have to carry them all over the house."

He flipped through yet another page of his textbook as the class continued on. Even though the pretty Miss Trelawney was teaching, the class was still boring as ever. Charms. Yeah, like he really needed to be in this class. He was charming enough, thank you very much. Why was he here then, sitting in the front of the room sitting next to some Slytherin first year? That was a good question.

Sighing, he flipped yet another page. When was this class going to get interesting? He already knew how to make him look all dazzling and irresistible – even without his Hufflepuff robes that were recently stolen by Asteira Blood. It was a shame that his badge was attached to his robes; he could’ve at least been polishing that during this class period.

Detention.

Seth jumped slightly in his desk and looked right up at Trelawney with his blue eyes. Oh God, he was getting a golden ticket straight to detention! Then looking around the room, he noticed that she was not looking at him but to that ‘I let my mummy touch my hair’ kid. Phew! He was in the safety zone – hopefully. Letting a smirk appear on his face, his eyes darted back from Trelawney to the kid. Looks to me like this class got interesting. Get ‘im, Trelawney!

Anna found herself caught between a smile and an eyeroll when she heard Trelawney's reply. Who cared if their answers matched up with whether or not they were age? These were hypothetical answers to hypothetical questions...were they not? I mean, she'd personally never been asked to change the curtains in her house or clean the place up. She also didn't expect to be asked to do so anytime soon. However, she had been rewarded three points, so at least she had that going for her.

Anna raised her hand once again. "Okay, so I'm not of age, but my boyfriend is. So to add to what I said before, I'd owl him and have him cast the Cheering Charm, Invisibility Charm, Descendo, and Hover Charm. It does still get the job done."

"Thank you anyway, Garret." She said calling him by his first name.

"Very well, Detention, after class. For now you sit, or I am taking 200 points away from Slytherin and if I know Slytherins," She looked at the snakes in the room, "they won't be happy..." she smirked.

"Good! Calling on a house elf. Two points." Cassandra smiled at the little snake.

It spoke another time. Why wasn't HE leaving her class... She just needed a reason, Give me a reason Newell, she wanted to deduct points from him soooo bad. But again... He'd mentioned two good spells. AND he was of age! She rolled her eyes, "Four points, Newell." She wasn't going to call him Prefect...

She looked over Pretty Prefect Pratton. What was he smirking about...

"So you enjoy being the little dansel in destress, and having your 'boyfriend' " she made air quotes for the word boyfriend, "come save you from your situations? I thought that Gryffindors were brave and did things on their own..." She said raising an eyebrow to the girl. "Two points for calling your boyfriend in to do your work but I've already given you points for those charms."

He was standing next to the door and about to walk out, but her coying voice stopped him in his tracks. He turned around and his face was a mask of horror. 200 points!! When he said the figure over again in his head he lost all feeling in his whole body.

A warm wetness spread slowly over the front of his robes and down his leg. He looked down at himself.

Oh.My.God.

This can not be happening. He hadn't wet himself in over 6 years and the mean intern lady had just made him pee on himself. In front of the entire class! His little brown face burned so hot the tears rolling down his cheeks evaporated before the ran past his nose. He could feel his socks and trainers getting soaked. He was going to die, if Merlin was merciful he would let him die right now. Just let him sink into the floor and die a peaceful death before someone laughs at him and calls him a a baby.

He sniffed a few times and didn't know if he should go sit down or go to the common room so he could change.

Cale couldn't help but smirk at Anna's sarcastic answer. They were just driving the poor woman up the wall, weren't they? And the curly haired prefect was about to make it worse. Raising his hand once more, he smiled innocently at her. "Excuse me, Intern Trelawney, but can I add another charm to my answer? I'd also use Aguamenti as well, to clean the curtains and get them all wet so I could scrub them by hand, the muggle way."

Anna blushed and then smiled sweetly. Just in case, she raised her hand to answer the question. "Actually, I pretty much do enjoy being Cale's damsel in distress. It's true, Gryffindors are brave and can do many things on their own, but there are some things that you just have to cast aside when it comes to those Gryffindor boys," Anna said. She giggled a little and then, as if what she'd just said dawned on her, she dropped her smile and her face became a blank stare. Had she really just said that out loud in class? "I mean, erm...sorry, Miss Trelawney," Anna said, sinking down in her seat a bit.

Cassandra raised an eyebrow as he saw the kid wet himself. "Very Well..." She said pointing her wand at the ground. "If this was my scenario, I would, scurgio the ground." she did so non-verbally, "and then I would tergeo the boy's pants... and socks" She did so non-verbally again. "And then I would look the boy in the eyes and say..." and looking at him, after making him the class guinea pig, with no more patience in her voice, she said in a low growl "In. Your. Seat. Now."

Of course he'd do it the 'muggle way...' she never did the 'muggle way...'

"Two points. You may want to let other students answer, Newell." She said.

See... THIS was what happens to people who have potential date bad influences... they become... mouthy... they talk back and they are disrespectful. She glared at the girl... but said nothing.

Cale felt like saying something sarcastic in response to Trel's little remark about other students answering...well, if they wanted to answer, they would have done so already! But he was distracted by poor Lucas, who seemed to have had an accident in the middle of the classroom. Poor kid...this was why Trel shouldn't be allowed out of the hospital, he thought to himself.
