Raiden nodded and pulled his hands out of his pockets to drag his bag over to the new seat; with the action, he dislodged a folded, faded piece of paper that had been jammed in there. He didn't even notice it as it landed on the other side of the chair, next to Nicholai Toussaint. Raiden dropped his bag next to the chair, on the other side, then grabbed his quill and parchment off the desk.
"I like studying Charms. They're fun," he said brightly, back still to Nicholai Toussaint as he picked up the inkpot. "This might be my favourite subject... but I'm not very good at it..."
He dropped the bit of parchment and swiped at it as it floated downward.
"Eeep."
"It's alright Raiden it isn't my best subject either, but we will both try our hardest for Intern Trelawney, won't we?" Nicholai couldn't help but smile at the kid. When he dropped his piece of parchment Nicholai stooped sideways and picked it up, scooping up a piece of paper in the process. He passed the parchment sheet to Raiden and frowned at the folded up paper; unaware that Raiden had dropped that also. He unfolded it and began to read.
