Alex took a deep breath and shut her eyes for a moment, 'You cant strangle him, hes a student. You cant strangle him, hes a student. You cant strangle him, hes a student.' she thought to herself. "I hate no house Mr. Moonson, some of my best friends in school were Slytherins. Now, I suggest you try the spell again." she said through semi-gritted teeth.

Emma picked up her wand and held it over her parchment. "Ok," she muttered to herself. "Induso," she said quietly, moving her wand the way the Professor had demonstrated. No luck. She took a deep breath and said, very clearly, "Induso," stressing on the "du". This time, the spell worked. "Yes!" she exclaimed quietly in excitement. She lifted her wand up in her joy and accidentally broke the spell. She couldn't help but laugh at her own mistake.

Taking her parchment and placing it into an area she could easily work with, Anna started the procedure. "Induso!" she said, accidentally letting the wand touch the parchment. Nothing happened, of course.

"Induso!" Anna tried again, this time, a word or two erased off her parchment, but then nothing else happened.

Taking a sigh and readjusting the angle of her parchment once again, "Anna waved her wand, saying, "Induso!" This time, Anna was able to work from right to left, line by line...erasing everything that was currently on her parchment.

James was thrilled with the Professors announcement. He was simply thrilled to do magic. Why? He had been doing magic for 2 and 1/4 years now. He decided to let the giddiness live on, for he might need it when it took him a while to get a handle on the spell. He took out a note page and tried it"Induuso!", but the writing stayed. Growl...he held the 'oo' to long. Again "Enduso!". Arg! The writing stayed on. He had said 'en' instead of 'in'. Well, three was the lucky number..."Indusoo!", the first thought that came to him was...I'm not French. What did have to do with anything?....Dang! It didn't work. "Stupid superstitions..." He muttered.

"Nice job Anna!" Emma said, praising her friend, who was sitting nearby. "Induso," she said again. This time, she was certain not to break the connection like she had before. Some words began to erase from her paper as she moved her wand back and forth. She grinned and looked up. The Professor was still dealing with that Slytherin student. Maybe, just maybe, we can get a few points for getting it so quickly? Emma wondered to herself. She raised her wand and performed the spell again.

Josh eyed her....what was her promblem."Me Moonson...Professor what are you on?" he asked her as he then shook his head."nevermind i dont want to know." he told her as he then tried again. Still nothing. Was this her first year of teaching....sorta seemed like it.He sighed as he then said," i think professor their is a better way of erasing something. Let me show you." he told her as he then pointed his wand at the paper. He accidentally slipped as when he casted the spell it was aimed at her robes."Incendio." he said as he then set alex's robes on fire.

Hermy pulled out her wand, and a peice of parchment she had written out her Arithmancy homework out in rough on earlier in the common room. Before doing the spell, Hermy raised her hand. "So if we do this line by line, does that mean parchment can be accurately cleared and therefore only erase patches? For example if you had made a spelling mistake on your homework, you could clear only the wrong bit to make it look neater?"

Emily glared at Josh. “What the hell are you doing!?” She asked in a whisper through gritted teeth. This wasn’t like the Josh she knew and …erm… liked…?

Emma let out a shriek as the professor's robes were set ablaze. The nerve of that Slytherin boy, first for mouthing off, and now being so stubborn that he accidentally lit the professor on fire. She jumped up with her wand, not wanting to be unhelpful. Suddenly, she realized she didn't know any spells to put out fire, and she didn't have a spell book with her to look it up. "Anna, what do we do?" she asked her friend in hysterics.

Even though Laylee was only a third year, she was completely annoyed with this over sarcastic, pathetic excuse for a person. No one should disrespect a teacher like that, no matter the situation (even though he was doing it out of pure satisfaction of seeing the professor upset.)
Laylee grabbed her wand instictively and screamed "Expelliarmus!" Sending his wand flying through the air.
She aslo put him in a tight bodybind, keeping him still.
Laylee felt bad for doing it, but setting a teacher on fire was NOT funny and he was becoming a hazard!

Anna looked on in horror as she watched the professor's robes blaze. "Ermm...ermm...ermm, AGUAMENTI!" Anna said, hoping to Merlin that it was the correct spell. A jet of water sprayed from her wand and quickly put out the fires.

Rhiannon dug around in her schoolbag. Pulling out her sketchbook, she flips to the unfinished sketch of the staff table from the start-of-term feast. Holding her wand a few inches above the page, she solemnly intones "Induso", making sure to emphasize the corect syllable. Looking down at her sketch, she sees a blank page. Well, I didn't really like that sketch anyway, she thought.

She was slightly surprised at Josh's behavior. He seemed different somehow, but then, she couldn't say she knew him that well. She had only met him right before the term started. But he didn't seem like the type of student who would light the professor on fire.

Lyra concentrated on her task at hand, trying desparately not to pay attention to Josh at the moment. Oh what would Sana do if she were here at this moment...snicker with me! That is what she would do, Lyra thought to herself pressing her lips together, trying not to laugh.

With a swish and- "Whoa," she exclaimed as she dropped her wand and brought her hands up to her face, her eyes were wide watching the show.

Emma grinned. "Nice job Anna," she said, patting her friend on the back. It suddenly occurred to Emma that Alex could probably have put the blaze out herself, but it would most likely tick her off to no end. She glared at the Slytherin--who was now bound to his chair by an older Ravenclaw--and sat back down, staring at her blank sheet of parchment in disgust.

Emily turned to look at Josh as he set the professor’s robes accidently on fire. “What has got into you!?” She asked, clearly annoyed by his lack of respect for the professor. She turned back to the professor.. “Er.. P-Professor… you’re robes.. they're kinda on f-fire...?”

James almost cursed the idiot who put the Professor's robe on fire. "Idiot!" He screamed at the older boys. He tried to remember a water spell...that was it! "aquarius!" He yelled pointing his wand at her. Dangn't. Wrong spell. AAUUGGHH-FWOSH! James went flying backwards ten feet pushed by a sudden wave of water. Oops. Bang! He had landed. And was almost unconscious. "uh..." he muttered.

"It's Aguamenti, and it's okay..I think. I cast it a few minutes ago."

Anna looked back up at her professor, hoping that everything was now okay.

Josh looked to see not the paper on fire but her robes." Holy crap your robes are on fire!" he declared to the teacher.

Josh looked over to see a spell coming his way.Protego. He said as he blocked her expelliarmus spell. He then found ropes around his arms. What were these crazy ravenclaws doing. He used his wand to set himself free.

He thought he heard a voice before everything went black. James was truly out cold.

"Exactly, this is a very useful spell, when I was in school , I would typicaly finish my classwork ahead of the class. I would spend the extra time drawing in the margin of the parchment I was using and when class was over, I'd erase what I'd drawn and hand in my paper."

Alex was at her breaking point as the boy spoke, she had just opened her mouth to tell the boy off and kick him out of class when suddenly her robes seemed rather hot. Wheeling around so she could reach the back of her robes she extinguished the flames and whipping back around, her face showing obvious rage, yelled, "Verminiate Tolinia!" Suddenly the Slytherin boy shrank and became... a capybera?

if josh could glare at her he would. Here he saved the lady's life and she turns around and becomes mid evil. Turns him into a rabit! thing..whatever it was. He sat in his chair...he really hated transfiguration.

Laylee was shocked to see the teacher turn the boy into a capybera. They werent supposed to do that..."
"Pro-professor, I think he gets it now." She said so quietly that only the professor could hear her.
She didnt want the the teacher of her favorite subject getting dissmissed from Hogwarts...
If it was up to Laylee she would have done this to him long ago, but its was against the rules...

Emily’s eyes widened at what happened next. A Ravenclaw attacking Josh? Setting the Professor’s robes on fire had been an accident, had it not? Gah! What the hell was going on? She looked over at James, a little startled to see the boy unconscious. “James?” She asked, and prodded him with her wand. “James, you alright matey?”

“GAH!” Ems yelled as Josh was suddenly transfigured into a giant rodent like creature. She looked back at the professor wide eyed. This, was a little extreme. Josh’s pyromania had been an accident… hadn’t it?

"JOSH!" Lyra exclaimed with an opened mouth as she watched the professor change his appearance. Oh this is great, she thought to herself. Nothing like animal entertainment brought on by silly boys that set their professors on fire. She knew what she had to do...ask Josh later what it was like to be a capybera.

Swish and flick, Lyra thought as she did what the professor asked of the class.

After digging around in her bag for a piece of scrap paper, Qaz tried to erase the writing on it. Before she could get the spell out, she was distracted by everything happening in the room. Rude students were bad enough, but setting a Professor on fire. The ensuing bedlam made it impossible to concentrate on the spell, so she just sat back and watched.
