Professor Blaylock paced the stone floor of her circular classroom as she waited for the students to arrive. It had been a long day and she couldn't wait to get it over with. Or at least, to hurry through this lesson so that she could continue the search for the girls.
Each circular table held three black pouches, one for each occupant of the table. Blaylock's own table in the centre of the classroom held a similar pouch and her customary cup of tea. It had probably gone cold now though, as she had not touched it in the past ten minutes.
OOC: Come in, take a seat and we'll begin the lesson soon.

She waved her teacup around, waiting for the pot to put something in it. Tea wasn't her favorite, but at least it was some sort of drinkableness.
Let's see... What were they called? Shapes of Doom, maybe. Runes just made her head hurt. She glanced up at the front. What's her name didn't seem to happy about her position. She shrugged. Too bad. She went back to doodling.

Blaylock smiled at the young girl, "Yes, that's right." Then that Cassels boy (ooc: LOL) spoke up and she turned to him, blinking slightly as if she hadn't realized that he was there.
"Oh, clearly...I was not. But take two points, both of you."
She tossed a rune into the air and caught it again, she repeated this as she spoke, "Besides as a tool for divination, what are the other uses of these runes? I'm sure those of you who study Ancient Runes will know this answer."

Evan frowned as Blaylock spoke to him. Something was just not right with her. "Professor, did you eat breakfast this morning? You look exhausted!" He reached into his school bag and took a huge grapefruit out of it. "Here! I was going to eat it later, but I guess you can have it. This should get you back on your feet!" He threw it at Blaylock, secretly hoping she would notice this large and possibly lethal pink fruit coming her way.

Molly had been paying more attention to Evan than the class. She finally broke her trance like gaze at the back of his head when she realized that people were answering questions. Figuring it had something to do with the little black bags in front of her, she quickly picked one up. So quickly that the contents, which she later concluded were Runes, went flying out of the bag and scattered about the floor.
As her face reddened with embarrassment, Molly tried to slouch down in her chair in a desperate attempt to hide. “Sorry Professor” she said in an almost to faint to hear whisper.

Natasha caught the fruit and set it on her table, "Thank you, Mr Cassels, but I do not allow students to eat in my class and so it is only fair that I refrain from doing it myself."
She sat at her table and stuffed the runes back in her pouch, "Now, there are no formal rules for consulting the runes, but the Muggles have a flair for the dramatic and I am told that they like to dim the lights, draw the curtains and light a whole bunch of candles…" She let out an indelicate snort, "All of these have no effect whatsoever on the runes you cast during a reading, I believe it is just for dramatic effect."
"But for fun...let us just light a few candles." She picked up her wand and with a muttered incantation, lit a dozen candles and sent them floating in the air.

"Whoo!" When said as fruit went flying across the room. Pinkfruit catch sent her straight into a torrent of giggling. She tipped off her seat. Hot tea spilled down her front.

Natasha groaned and stood up, her wand in hand. She walked to Whende and quickly cleaned up the mess she'd made of herself, "Be careful, Miss Smade. This is not a Quidditch pitch, Mr Cassels, and I would appreciate it if you could hold back on the urge to toss fruit in my classroom."
She sent him a significant look which was meant to remind him of the time he'd spent under a cone shaped hat last term.
"And Mr Moretti, I assure you that I am eating healthy, but you may NOT eat in my class."
