Whende nodded and continued to write down what other people had to say. She leaned forward slightly, waiting to see the next snake. After just a couple moments of waiting though, the name popped into her head.

"Geleira," she said, not really meaning to say it out loud. But it kind of rolled off the tongue, so she said it again. "Geleira. I like it."

Kerry took the momentary pause to catch up on notes, she was finding this class really interesting and couldn't wait to see what was next.

Sarah wrote down all the answers that had been said and looked about the classroom there was not that many people she knew in class maybe she should get to know more people she thought

Pauline finished writing the notes she had gotten about the Runespoor and waited for the next animal to be talked about.

Professor Maline smiled as they all took down notes and placed the bloodied Runespoor away, she'd have to see to it later on. She took up the last cage, and placed it down, carefully taking off the blanket that covered the cage.

"This," Professor Maline said seriously, in a voice that demanded people paid attention, "Is an Occamy. Now, listen, these snakes are extremely agressive, and i don't want any funny business at all, ok?, Now, why are they agressive?" She asked the class.

Kennedy tried to think of other magical serpents that might be included in this lesson. The only two that popped into her head were the basilisk, which she definitely didn't want to see and knew that she wouldn't, and the sea serpent, which she didn't think possible to see in this classroom because of their usually extensive lengths and underwater habitat.

Kirilia was pleased with her one point, her very first she had earned, and grinned broadly at Professor Maline. She took down some more notes about the Runespoor. It really was a fascinating creature. She wished she was a parselmouth and could talk to snakes, or even any animal really...
She turned back to the Professor and waited attentively for the next creature to be brought out...and gasped in surprise when the Professor revealed an Occamy.
It was very cool! Like a winged snake but with two legs. She had read about them, but had never thought (until she realized she was a witch) to see one.
She put her hand up, a little more confidently this time, "Please professor, the Occamy is aggressive because its very defensive about its eggs, which has shells made of..." she trailed off, darn it, was it gold? She thought had for a second, "Silver!" she said triumphantly. "The very purest, softest silver."

shortfry 03-19-2007 12:11 AM

Kerry raised her hand, "Part of the reason they are aggressive is they are very carnivorous, but another reason is because they are very defensive of their eggs and would likely kill to defend them" Kerry said.

Vince sighed deeply, getting tired of talking, continuing to write notes with his quill that had ink on it. He stared at his notes, nodding as he noticed everything he wrote was correct. He wished he could write faster, getting bored. He heard the next question saying, "They are aggresive because humans tend to do something with their eggs, being aggresive with them as it defend the eggs."

Kennedy replied "They are aggressive to all who approach it, particularly in defense of its eggs, whose shells are made of the purest, softest silver"

Freya 03-19-2007 12:13 AM

Touy raised her hand and said " They are very protective of there young or eggs"

ZDARDSKY 03-19-2007 12:13 AM

Curt looked up at the big snake, he raised his hands and answered, surprised that he new information on this one as well, "Occamy's are cannivorous, and they are winged to as well. They weren't natuarally agrissive I don't think, but human interaction has made them aggresive, especially when their eggs are threatened." said Curt definately.

Em tried too think of the answer she had it on the tip of her tongue but couldn't remember.

ers04d 03-19-2007 12:13 AM

Is it because they are so pretective of their eggs? Cora said in an unsure tone.

Golden Monkey 03-19-2007 12:13 AM

Arianas hand rose into the air again as she answered, "The occamy's are agreesive because of their maternal need to protect their eggs." She wrote down the name of the serpent and was very curious about it.

whende 03-19-2007 12:14 AM

"Erm..." Whende said, scratching the top of her head. Why was anything agressive? She raised her hand anyway. "Probably because they're very protective of their eggs," she said, taking a shot in the dark. "Wow, I'm slow..." she added under her breath.

The Old Toad 03-19-2007 12:14 AM

Her eyes widened as she saw the beautiful snake. Her hand slowly rose. "They are known to be aggressive because they are quite protective over their eggs. People tr to take their eggs because they're so pretty. A beautiful, soft silver," she answered with a faint smile, but didnt make any sudden, unsuspected movements. She didnt want to irritate the beautiful snake.

pgspickles 03-19-2007 12:15 AM

Pauline raised her hand and said. "Because of their interaction with humans and wanting to protect their eggs,"

Saz Hale 03-19-2007 12:15 AM

Sarah raised her hand and said "The occamy is agrisive and wants to protect it's eggs from any poachers"

"Correct, take two points, Occamy's are extremely carnivourous, and are more than likely kill to defend their eggs, well done Kerry." Professor Maline smiled.

"YES! Well done Kennedy! You mentioned an important reason! Take a point!" Professor Maline beamed delightedly, grinning at her.

"Yes, well done Curt, us Humans do nothing but bad for creatures, take a point." She nodded seriously.

"Another point to you Ariana, Occamys are also very Maternal creatures." Professor Maline grinned.

"Now where do these come from?" She asked.

shortfry 03-19-2007 12:23 AM

Kerry raised her hand, "Occamy come from India and the Far East" Kerry smiled.

ZDARDSKY 03-19-2007 12:24 AM

Curt smiled on getting house points, he knew this one as well! He raised his hand and answered, "I am pretty sure they are from India, and the far east too"

CelestialLight 03-19-2007 12:24 AM

Vince looked at the professor, writing more notes to the recent answers. This class was a fun one, always studying about magical creatures and their special adaptation and other things. He smiled, noticing he almost spilled his ink on the bean bag. He sighed, raising his hand to answer the next question. "They come from India, and the Far East," he said.

Freya 03-19-2007 12:24 AM

Touy replyedOccamy are from the far East and India
