Chocolate frogs, jelly slugs, the quills, and he HAD to try some of those fizzing whizbee things...although he was going to pass on those gummy mice things. They looked too..realistic for his taste.

"I'm going into my second year. You?" he asked her. A cool, older girl was TALKING to him! Awesome! Brent was going to be soooo jealous. "And yeah, I'm new. My brother and I just moved here from California, so we went to Ilvermorny last year. What house are you?? I'm dying to see what house I'm in!" he said excitedly.

"Oh, and I'm Kane by the way," he added, holding out a hand for a shake.

Derf's eyes widened and jaw dropped slightly. So he WAS a Seer then? The older boy spoke with such confidence with his answer that he had convinced himself of this fact and thus was in AWE. "Not really a Holyhead Harpies fan..." he admitted with a scratch of the head, although there WERE players on the team that he admired and had heard stories from his mum about because she had been their professor while at Hogwarts. "I fink I already have one her of though..."

He couldn't really remember at the moment. Tunnel vision on what he needed and all.

"Mmmhmmm," Derf nodded eagerly. "And ofers too...but fey seem to be the hardest to come by." At least in the recent distribution of chocolate frogs on the market. "I like collecting fings...I was working on worm species in the UK this summer. I hope by the time I graduate Hogwarts I have a complete collection of Chocolate Frogs Cards." The small blonde eyed the boy's basket. "Your collection?" he asked with a firm point and eager look.

Okay maybe this was not the best place for Théo to be with money on his person. Because look at all the stuff that needs to be eaten and shared. Since well he could try but he doubted he could eat all the candy he buys. Plus his mom would not let him.

He was not sure where he even wanted to start.

He just kept looking up and down the aisle until anything interesting caught his eye.

CANDY. Definitely her second stop of choise. She was a wand owning ADULT now, basically unstoppable and very much in need of candy. It was the most grown up thing EVER. Except that meant that she had to spend another TWO minutes convincing her mother to wait outside, though unknown to Zoryn her mother had entered a few paces behind her and was watching from a few aisles away. But as far as Zoryn knew, she was all on her own! It was GREAT!

She was going to get a little bit of everything, that was the unofficial plan that her mom officially knew nothing about. Hopefully since Zoryn was basically an adult now, her mother would be willing to pay for it all. "Are you lost or something?" she said, approaching the kid in the same aisle, who looked like he had zero idea of what he was doing.

Did he even know he was in a candy store? Because if not, he was in for a wild story.

Okay maybe he was leaning towards just getting some chocolate frogs and call it a day. Though he did not really want to go back out and have to start finding his mom across the street. That could take ages. So he was just looking at random stuff to waste time yeah. He really did not think he looked that lost. But apparently he did because he just got asked the question shopkeepers ask you when they see you down an aisle looking. But this girl looked to young to be the shopkeeper.

Théo thought she even looked his age.

Okay then. He shook his head.

"No just trying to decide what i want. You can't have too many chocolate frogs "

Or maybe was licorice wands.

Those are fun.

Oh so he wasn't lost. Well that was good news because honestly, Zoryn wasn't good with directions. "Actually," she gave the not-lost-lost-looking kid a matter-of-fact look. "If you eat too many chocolate frogs you’ll turn into one. My mom said so.” It was a FACT. So she solidified it with a few firm nods. Because she TOTALLY knew exactly what she was talking about.

"So you should get licorice wands instead. Those ones don't have any bad side effects," she looked around suspiciously before leaning in to whisper, "that we know of."

So basically, kid was doomed. If he didn't already know that stuff about chocolate frogs, it was only a matter of time. Probably already consumed WAY over the limit. And the transformation was already starting!!! Maybe THAT'S why he looked so lost! It was the DEAD FROG EYES HAPPENING. Or maybe he just really was lost and he didn't want to say so. Zoryn did that too sometimes. Not a lot, but sometimes. Either way, THEY NEEDED TO GET HIM TO MUNGO'S AND STAT.

Olivia nodded slowly, taking note of everything Carissa had said. Huh. That was interesting. Very interesting. "Interesting. Puckwudgie, Thunderbird, Wampus, and Horned Serpent." It seemed less comical after Clarissa had explained the reasoning why each house was called what it was. "I see, that's really neat! It's a lot different from Hogwarts' founding," she said with a grin. Illvermony. She wondered what house she would have gotten sorted to if she had attended that school instead of Beauxbatons. "What house are you in?"

Her eyes widened at the very question that Carissa proposed. She didn't know whether to be offended by the girl presuming that her brother was a dark wizard. Instead of huffing, she simply chuckled. "Of course not! There are good Slytherins throughout history. Being a Slytherin doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be a Dark Wizard." She paused. Olivia couldn't imagine her brother being a Dark Wizard. He always played by the rules and stuck to them. His grades and everything he did was nearly perfect. It was unfair. "I couldn't imagine my brother being a Dark Wizard honestly. He follows the rules perfectly and seeks to bring people to justice in his own ways."

Olivia nodded. "Oui. I am fluent in French," she grinned. Hearing Carissa's reaction to staying in side made Olivia scoff. "Alright, yes, but... Wouldn't you be at least interested in finding out the reason why you were snowed in? Maybe there's some reason why that has to do with Ancient Runes or the Dark Arts." She was getting very excited as her mind raced to different possibilities.

Théo had a really hard time believing that she believe that. He was hoping she was joking because seriously. Did she believe everything her mom said. Because Théo did not believe a lot of what his mom or brother or sister said. So here he was giving her a "do you really believe that look" While listening to whatever else she was saying. He did not really want to be rude to someone he just met but really.

"You really believe what your mom says...all the time?"

Did she also believe in the tooth fairy and the stork because he was close to asking that as well. Though he was thinking about the licorice wands.

"How about some sherbet lemons or fizzing whizzbees"

He was still going to get some chocolate frogs and prove her wrong. Even if he never sees her again. Merlin help anyone who believes what her mom said. Probably just did not want her eating a lot of them.

Interested by this information about candy, Mason listened to the girl's words as if he were listening to an important lesson at Hogwarts in which O.W.L.s were mentioned.

So muggle and wizarding candy were not alike. Not having tried muggle candy before, he had no idea and had always assumed that candy moving in its own was a normal thing.

Do they use like... what was the word again? He knew he had heard it in Muggle studies before. "Computers, am i saying that right? do they use those things to make candy?

OWLS. Now THAT was a subject he knew and could talk about. "I only failed History of Magic with a P and i surprisingly got a E in Divination, i don't know how that happened but i'm not complaining" he laughed.

Back to California? Mason looked at Callie. He never knew that she was born somewhere else than England. Or did she mean that her father did? Not that that was important or anything. What was however was the fact she was going to fly to California. FLY! "What broom model do you have?" He asked, thinking she was going to fly to California on a broom. Cause how else was she going to get there?

"Yeah, computers." She paused a moment to consider his question. "Sort of? They're usually made in a factory, where computerized machines perform each task along a conveyor belt. So like one machine will stir the chocolate, and then another pours it into the molds or something, and then another wraps it, etc. They're all programmed by computers to do their task perfectly. It's pretty interesting actually. They even have shows that show you how things are made like that." Which is how she knew that much to begin with. "But I think most factories do give tours to the public to see how things are made and such..." Or was that only in movies?

"Oh." Hadley nodded as if she completely understood. Which she did, actually. "Yeah, I'm not great in History of Magic either." So she could totally sympathize. Some parts were interesting but mostly it was kinda dull in her opinion. "But congrats on the E in Divination!"

What kind of broom did she have? Random question. "I have a Firebolt X-treme, actually. Named Langley. You?" Then it dawned on her. Oh...he thinks... Hadley had to suppress her urge to laugh. She'd had one of her own housemates blow up at her for not knowing basic magical history her first week at Hogwarts, so she knew what it was like to be clueless about the other side of the fence and being attacked or mocked, or whatever for it. "But, that's not how we're flying to California. We're taking a plane. Doing it the muggle way." Since she was the only one in her family that was magical. Which was odd, considering she was an identical twin. Guess that 0.000000003% or whatever difference in her and her sister's DNA, made all the difference?

"Have you ever been to California?" Because if he hadn't, he should. "It's pretty great. I miss it, actually. I mean don't get me wrong. I love Hogwarts and I love all the friends I have here, but California is home, you know?"

"You say that like it's a bad thing!" She didn't like his tone. If he was implying that she was a dummy, then HE was a dummy because Zoryn was definitely not one. Her mom always told her the truth, so of course Zoryn believed her all the time. "Bet your mom lies to you loads," she said with a hand on her hip. That's why he didn't believe his mother.

Luckily, Zoryn forgot that she was mad because candy was a really good distraction. Her little angry cloud evaporated quickly as she put a hand to her chin and tilted her head as if considering the question deeply. "Definitely sherbet lemons! AND fizzing whizzbees! Canary creams are good too!"

She was like an EXPERT in candy.

He had expected to get a yes or no answer about his question but when Hadley went on to explain, using muggle terms he vaguely understood because he had heard or read them in his muggle studies textbook, he simply stared at her. Yup, definitely a Ravenclaw as well this one was.

Scratching the back of his neck with his free hand as he listened, Mason tried understand how candy was made and even made a mental note to try and make some when they were back at school. Surely the muggle studies room still had a computer right?

"I should check out one of those factories then!" if he had learned this much from a younger student, imagine how much he would learn from professionals! "Do you think the employees of this shop secretly eat some of the candies while working?" he asked as he looked around them. "I know i would" he laughed. Bad example from an older student? Nah!....ok probably...

She owned a firebolt x-treme? That was so cool! He did not laugh at her for naming her broom because Mason would have done the same thing if he had thought about it. "i used to have a Nimbus G 3. But it went to my nephew because i couldn't use it anymore" no space to fly without muggles noticing and his parents wanted him to focus on his studies instead of being with his heads in the clouds. Literally.

......wait...plane? He knew what that was! Those giant robot birds in the sky! Mason looked at Hadley with a concerned expression on his face. "its safe right? I mean, i know those things don't fly with magic....how does it even stay in the air? And MOVE?! ....no wait. Don't tell me, i want to find this out myself!" muggle library here he comes!

"Nope never" he said as Hadley asked if he had ever been to California. "I haven't been further than Germany and France for holidays" one day maybe? "But if California is your home, why didn't you go to Ilvermorny?"

For the last few days Cassie hadn't done much of anything. No swimming, gymnastics, singing/dancing, baking or even laughing. It was an incredibly strange feeling to not be her happy little blonde self but she couldn't help it. Nothing was helping to pull her out of her out of this unusual little mood she was currently in. Not even when her daddy gave her some coins and dropped her off in DA telling her she could have fun for awhile and he'd pick her up later.

Normally being near the shops but a spring in her already bouncy step and a huge smile on her face. But not today. Being around here was making her feel even worse. Cass was going to try though. Maybe she'd see one of her friends of something. The little blonde pushed open the door to Sugarplum's and stepped inside her feet already moving towards one of the aisle's as she grabbed a basket. If anything could help her feel better right now it was hopefully some candy and this girl knew candy.

Noelle had gotten the GREAT news that she was going to be a prefect this term!!! The badge had come by owl and everything. While this made her extremely happy... it also made her nervous. How was she going to be able to handle being a prefect in with everything else?? She knew what she needed to do. She needed to talk to her Transfiguration Professor and Professor Hirsch.... and Professor Newton as soon as she got to school. No ifs, ands, or buts.

But for now,
Noelle needed chocolates.

Heading into Sugarplums, she breathed in the yummy smell it always gave off. This was her kind of spot. Her stress reliever spot. She tried to clear her head from OWLs coming this year, all her training, being a prefect, her schedule, etc. Right now, it was all about the goodies.

She walked a little further and spotted a familiar face. Her Pinecone. Grinning from ear to ear, Noelle poked Phillip in the side while waiting for him to face her since she had come up behind him. What a nice surprise.

Well it was a bad thing. Unless she was okay with it than there was nothing Théo could say. She was a dummy if she believed that. And she just called his mom a liar. Rude girl."Well yeah but you have to listen to her anyway since well it is your mom. But you dont have believe everything. Don't you listen to whats going on in the house? Let me guess you ate way to many chocolate frogs and you got sick and then your mom started telling you would turn into a frog. And you believe her" Because Théo had done the first part and it was fun until you got sick of them. Then he moved onto something else for a while and was good again.

Wow she liked Canary Cream. She is weird.

"Nah i dont like Canary Creams or Acid Pops"

Not the taste or what happens. But she did know her candy

It WAS NOT a bad thing. "I didn't eat too many!" Because she was well informed of the dangers of eating to many chocolate frogs! Hadn't she just said that? Man, this kid did not know how to keep up. "Bet you can't prove me wrong," she said crossing her arms. It was genius because either a) he would eat way too many and turn into a frog or b) he would eat too many and get sick. Either way, it did not sound like a good idea so Zoryn wasn't about to try it out to see the truth.

"Wow, you're picky," she wasn't the biggest fan of Acid pops. But Canary creams were good! And also really funny!

See Théo did not believe her and that is why he asked. But her reaction was too great to not continue and why would he even want to prove her wrong. He would be wasting all his money to prove nothing to this dummy.

"You sooo did or your mom would not have told you that, Liar. Unless you can prove you didn't"

He just shrugged because he was and did not really care since he got the foods he wanted anyway.

"Bet you are too"

She was really really weird.

It didn't take long for Hadley to realize she probably lost Mason while describing to process. "Sorry," she said sheepishly. "But, yeah, take a factory tour if you ever get the chance. It makes a lot more sense when you can see all the machines in action."

Did she think the employees snuck little pieces of candy for themselves? "Yeah, of course they do." Although...she didn't actually know that. "Probably. I definitely would if I worked here too." And then she'd probably get fat, and her sister and she wouldn't be identical anymore...and that just felt sad. Nevermind they weren't exactly identical right now, given the fact Natalie's hair was still blonde and Hadley had hers dyed red.

She shook her thoughts away. Wait. "Why can't you use it anymore?" Did he get into trouble and had it taken away or something? That was usually the reason for when Hads couldn't use something or hers. But still, she got the thing back eventually.

"Yeah, they're really safe." The occasional crash did happen, but they weren't that common. Hads was just about to explain how flight worked, from her understanding of it at least. Which admittedly she learned from a kid's movie. But it was more sumplified fact than made up for an audience of kids. But Mason wanted to learn it on his own. Cool. She could respect that.

Wait, he had been to Germany and France? "Awesome! I've always wanted to visit those countries!" But yeah California. "You should totally visit if you ever get a chance. It's great." No, she wasn't biased. Well, maybe a little. "Oh! Yeah. Well, we moved to London just before my 11th birthday. Mom got offered the chance to be head chef at a new 5-star restaurant opening up here, and that was a huge opportunity for her, so we moved. I didn't even know I was a witch until I moved here. But, yeah. I live in London, so Hogwarts is the school I go to."

Zoryn totally outsmarted him. So of course she was smiling all big now. He couldn't prove her wrong, so that meant she was right. DUH. "I sooooooOOOOoo didn't," she said wiggling her body too, both hands placed on either side of her hips now. "I don't owe you proof 'cause I just met you and you're weird," she nodded.

She wasn't that picky. Just a little picky. She always tried to eat her vegetables whenever mother was looking her way. A picky person wouldn't even try to pretend they ate them. So HA.

"I'm Zoryn," she blurted out as an after thought, sticking her hand out for a handshake because she saw adults do that all the time when they introduced themselves to people.

Zoryn A. Spinnet, a sophisticated socialite and avid canary cream eater.... Okay, It was a working title.

Dora would be a TOTAL liar if she denied the fact that she still had a sweet tooth. The teen had given up so many of her CHILDISH habits and such, but candy was not something she had been able to shake. Not that she had wanted to. Heh.

The blonde had her usual summer tan still in place, hair a bit more blonde than normal. She also had a light air about her as she searched the shelves around her. Something special was in order, yes it was. Celebratory chocolate, if you will. OWL year called for lots of expensive confections to keep at school.

She really was a weird one and why was she smiling like she just won a trophy or something. Théo rolled his eyes and now she was calling him weird. She was the one who thought people turned into frogs by eating chocolate frogs. "You soo did or you're pretty dumb for believing what your mom says and you're soo much weirder than me" And her name just proved that to Théo. Even though he does think it is kinda cool

.................and now a handshake. What was she on about now. The eleven year old stared at her and then her hand for a sec before giving her a handshake.

"Théo. you want to share a choclate frog?"

because why not.

"Soooooooo not," she replied. He was so weirder. But not in a bad way. More like 'you're weird, let's be friends'. That kind of way.

Zoryn gave Théo an 'I'm waiting' sort of look as she kept her hand proudly stuck out in front of her. She wasn't about to put it away until he shook it. 'Sides it'd be super rude if he refused all together and she did think he was kinda rude, but not that rude. Once Théo met her hand with his, she wore a big smile.

Friends. They were friends now. Even though he basically insulted her mom. She had basically already forgotten about it.

"Yeah, okay!" she shrugged contently before reaching out to grab something off the shelf. "And fizzing whizzbees?"

Henry didn't much notice the look the younger boy was giving him, but he did look back at him as he mentioned the Quidditch team. "Yeah, I guess they're not my favorite team.." Though he would admit there were some very attractive and skilled women on that team. "I like the Catapults and Cannons better. Are you a Quidditch fan though?" Henry would think the boy was at least familiar with the sport as he hadn't missed a beat with knowing which team Jones had been a part of. "Yeah, I don't think she's one of the rare ones," he added with a chuckle, as he had several.

But the ones that the boy mentioned, Henry could agree that they at least seemed rare and he gave him a sympathetic nod. Part of the fun of chocolate frogs was collecting the cards and trying to see if you could get a complete collection, but at the same time it could be frustrating to continue to get the same witch or wizard when you already had four or five cards of them. "Worm species?" Henry suddenly gave the boy a quizzical glance. "Like you collect worms?" That was an interesting thing to collect and he was somewhat curious about it.

The fifteen year old quickly glanced at the large pile of chocolate frogs in his basket as the boy gestured towards them, then looked back at him again. "Oh.. I used to collect them, and trade them too. All I need now are Newt Scamander, Maladora Grymm, and Merlin.. but I get them more now just because I like chocolate." And his friends did too. But he had other things that he deemed more important to do. That wasn't to say that if he did find one of those rarer cards that he wouldn't snatch it right up. He did want to have a complete set after all, and he was very close to it.

Candy! With her eyes twinkling she entered the shop and looked around her, what would she buy? And... What would she take back for her parents? Mum liked something like caramel bud dad? Hmm... Walking toward a random jar with candy she looked curious at it and wondered how it would taste. She still had a lot to learn about the candy in the magical world because she had grown up with all the muggle stuff but this... This looked yummy!

But then she spotted a girl she recognized from Hogwarts but from where? Had they worked together during a class? She didn't knew for sure anymore so she left the jar with candy behind and walked over toward the girl and tapped her on her shoulder. "Hi! You're from Hogwarts too! Did we worked together during a lesson? I recognize you from somewhere" she smiled widely at the girl while speaking and again she tried to remember where she had seen the other girl before.

Even though Esme wasn't a fan of chocolate, that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy the other varieties of candy that were out there. Sugarplums was full of some of her favourite sweets, though she had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Bertie Botts. One time she had eaten a vomit flavoured one and ever since then she was more than a little hesitant to try them.

Deciding to bypass them all together, she set about adding other items to her basket. Sugar Quills, Licorice Wands, Ice Mice, and Pepper Imps were grabbed among other things. Should she add some Chocolate Frogs in for Juno? Esme bit her lip before adding some of those in as well.

Wasn't she just the nicest sister ever.
