Overview:
Christopher and Reagan happened to have briefly saw each other they were quite younger. However, she does not remember this and thought that the first time she met her older brother's friend was during Koen's wedding. Christopher and Reagan, much like her own parents, did not get off on the right foot with their first interaction.

Gasp!

The first gasp at being lightly 'punched' was all to quickly follows an even larger but just as 'fake' GASP! Excuse her?! Several overly dramatic blinks were given in her direction. Could she tell he was clearly trying to pretend that he needed to figure out what she was talking about? "I'm most certainly not. I'm the picture of perfection right here." Cue a sweet smile directed at her. Yup, he knew what she was doing and he was more than content on messing with her right back. This was clearly their way of showing how comfortable they were with one another and how much he adored her.

Christopher nodded. "I'm right behind you." He followed her from the water to their chairs, taking a seat in the one set up right beside hers. With all those 'punches' he had taken... He might need to sit for awhile! "That's fair. You can decide on your preference and the place if you like." Unless she wanted his opinion on things then he could offer up some ideas when he thought of any. While she dried her hair, he reached for their bottles of water offering her one. "Not exactly, no. Buuuuuuut I didn't want to get my hopes up too high anyhow." He grinned cheekily at her. Hey, she could be somewhat unpredictable at times!

Rea couldn’t help it. She burst into laughter at the sight of Christopher being dramatic. It wasn’t the gasps per say that brought forth the laughter but the reminder that she also loved teasing Christopher about him becoming more dramatic since he started dating her. That was because he picked up on some of her acting techniques that added some flair to the said dramatics. “Sure, if you say so, boyfriend dearest.” But truthfully? Christopher was nothing but perfection indeed. There wasn’t a thing that Reagan would change about him.

All settled in now, she wrapped a dry towel around her shoulders as she considered what he had just asked her. Her mind was still reeling, of course, but in the best sort of way. “A little caution is good,’’ Reagan responded. “But you can put that aside since I’m not changing my mind!” So here she was being as predictable as ever! There was just one thing bothering her. “Poor mum and dad having to be alone. Without any of their kids around, I mean.” Reagan had always been content with living in her childhood home for their sake as she grew. But now the time had come for her to leave the nest. “I’m sad for them in that way.”

All of Chris' dramatics were clearly learned from Rea. Not that she was anywhere near as terrible at all of this as he was. Nope, his girl was perfection in her art. Him on the other hand, well, he was bad. Most of the time on purpose but other times... It was just plan sad how horrible he was at it all. At least he tried though? And out of all of it came lots of laughter for the two of them. "Are you saying that I'm not? Because if my memory serves me right... And I know that it does, you only partake in the company of perfection." True or not, he was laughing once again right along with her.

Christopher reached for their bottles of water, offering her one. "Well that's good to hear. You're answer already made me happy and I wouldn't want you to go changing your mind on me." Not when he has already been thinking of ways to make his place seem like home to her and she hadn't even moved in yet! "Mm' are you sure about that? Maybe they'll enjoy the quiet and it being the two of them again." His mum always joked with him and his siblings about that, how much free time she had to do whatever she liked now. Though he did know she missed having them all at home, she now had grandkids to focus her attention on. "You won't be too far from them to visit anytime you miss them."

Reagan was not going to lie. There were moments when Christopher seemed to have learned excellently from her, and there were times when he proved that wrong. Her overall judgement though? Acting was not for her boyfriend, but that was okay. He just needed to keep being genuinely who he was and she would be happy! “While that is true, I had to battle with myself so much to make you an exception.” Rea smiled sweetly again but there was a lot of fondness and love written on her face for the man beside her.

She accepted the water, uncapping it immediately. Laughing, the young woman leaned into Chris’ side. “I promise I won’t change my mind. I know you wouldn’t give me a reason to.” That was how much confidence she had in him. Rea laughed again. “Okay! That’s a fair point. They really should have told me earlier if they wanted the quiet! But I can see them enjoying their alone time together. It’ll be like they’re back at Hogwarts up until Ko came along.” She took a drink of her water. “I’ll visit them often. Can’t have them missing me, can I? Of course you’ll be accompanying me since they love you so much.”

Chris would love to know that she thought so. For all of his 'acting' skills came simply from watching and listening to her. Did she know though that his over the top dramatics were the most fun? The more he could make her laugh and smile, the happier of a man he was. This though? Really? An eyebrow was raised. "Well excuse you Little Miss, but you must have something in your eyes as I'm true perfection right here." This was said with an obviously teasing grin. He was not at all conceited or full of himself. She was welcome for that.

As she leaned into him, Chris wrapped an arm around her shoulders giving her a small squeeze. "I should hope not." He was more likely to spoil her and give into her every want and need. "Hm, I don't think they'd ever tell you or your siblings that they want peace and quiet." Rea's parents certainly didn't appear to be the type who admitted to any of that. He was certain they would enjoy their newfound empty home. "Oh, we all know that you'll be visiting them and all your siblings whenever you get the chance." As for him, of course he would accompany her to wherever she went.

Christopher was a quick learner, Rea would give him that. If he ever wanted to opt into a career as an actor, she would be only too happy to help him with tips and to be his coach. Oh yes, she also did know that his dramatics were fun, for both of them too! Which was why she was now laughing. “Okay, okay!” Rea held up her hands in ‘defeat’. “You’re absolute perfection, Christopher!’’ And to seal these words, she leaned in to plant a kiss on his cheek.

This was nice, being wrapped in Christopher’s arm as she gazed out at the water. Reagan did mean it when she said she knew he wouldn’t give her a reason to not want to move in. Her boyfriend had never given her a reason to lose her trust in him. “They wouldn’t. I’m thinking how lovely it would be for them to have that peace after living with noisy kids for years and years!” It was funny how life moved along so quickly that one hardly had time to notice.

Scene 8:
Early Spring 2116 - Christopher and Reagan have decided to redecorate their home which ends up turning into Chris also proposing to Rea!

It was coming up on two whole years since Reagan moved into his place making it their home. Over that time small changes had been made here and there to make things more comfortable and not so much like only a man lived their. What was happening this afternoon was much more than moving things around in a closet or putting up an extra shelf. Walls were being painted, items moved around and new furniture was replacing old. It was much overdo that some serious redecorating happened.

"What do you think of this color, Love?" Chris asked, his gaze on the tannish beige color of the newly painted wall before him. "I'm feeling like it's too light maybe? Should I try a darker shade or a different color all together maybe?" While he had participated in choosing various things for their home, it was wall colors that he had no idea about. He wanted their home to look good, like adults happily lived here. It was time for things not to appear so... Boring.

It was no secret that time sometimes presented the illusion that it was speeding by. The many months spent living with Christopher certainly fell into that category. They had been good months, great even as she adjusted to living away from her parents. She missed them and the crups terribly but Rea did stop by for visits at times. It also helped that Connor and Addison were supportive of her decision to move out.

The woman surveyed the wall and in turn, the colour, her boyfriend was asking her opinion. Rea surveyed the wall for a second then shook her head. “I can’t say that I’m a fan.’’ There was a pout from her. “Don’t you think it’s a little too light? Maybe we can try something warmer? Like a medium-ish shade of yellow?” Luckily for Christopher, she was good with colours and had an artful taste.

In his eyes things couldn't be going any better. The two of them made a sensational team. Cooking, cleaning and planning of any/all changes were always made by them both. At times it felt like he had never lived along before Rea moved in with him. And honestly, he liked that. The comfortable rhythm they had found together was exactly what he had needed.

Christopher chuckled at the pout on her face. "At least we're in agreement that this is too light for what we're wanting in this room." With his gaze still on the wall, his wand was pulled from his wrist holster and aimed at the wall. A very simple color changing charm was used to give them a better idea of this 'medium yellow' Reagan was mentioning. "Like this?" The yellow did seem to brighten up the room quite a bit more. It felt more inviting and open then the previous color had. He rather liked it.

This is why Reagan always knew she wanted to date someone older: Christopher was quite mature and always focused and consistently on track with building their life together. That and the fact that they were usually in agreement with what they wanted, much like them being in sync with the colour they wanted for the place.

Rea came up to a stop beside Christopher as he replied to her words. “That we are!” she said brightly. Her gaze fixed upon him and she couldn’t help but admire the way he concentrated as he surveyed the wall thoughtfully. The woman forced herself to train that gaze on the wall as the colour change was made. A tiny excited squeal escaped her the moment she saw the light comforting shade of yellow. “That’s absolutely perfect! Not bright so that it will blind anyone stepping into here. You want me to help you do the other walls?” If not, she would see if there was anything she wanted to change. But mostly, Reagan loved Christopher’s cosy little space and everything in it.

Some of this didn't have to do with him being older, it had to do with the life skills his mother had instilled in him at an early age. Nothing in life was going to be handed to him easily, all that he had accomplished through the years had been done with hard work. That was also true about finding the perfect someone to share his life with. It had taken him AGES! Rea was his perfect match in every single way. While she did have a flair for dramatics at times, they always got along splendidly. Agreeing on things, like the color of the living room walls was easy when they were in sync with everything else.

Christopher turned his gaze onto her at the squeal. There was no question about it, this was the perfect color. "You're more than welcome to help with the rest." It was a simple charm and would only take moments for Rea to complete. Together they could finish decorating the room. "What else needs to be done? Does the furniture clash with the walls too much or no?" He was happy to finally have someone else to share his place with. His life with.

There was no denying that Christopher had worked hard on himself and in every other area in his life. Rea was proud of him despite not having been around at the time. On the bright side, she was now firmly planted by his side so there would be no more missing any future accomplishments! Of course he had a flair for the dramatics! What sort of actress would she be if she wasn’t? Besides, Christopher loved that about her.

Right now, Rea was content with the way things were coming along. She was even more happy that her boyfriend was willing to make changes for her. “I definitely am willing to take time off from my busy schedule to be your assistant.” Smiling impishly, the woman lifted her wand to do just that. And soon enough, the place seemed warmer, cosier.

Only then did Rea survey the furniture, her eyes shifting from the chairs, tables and so forth to the walls. “Hmm… I think everything goes well together. Do you?” His feedback was important.

Christopher truly appreciated the fact that Rea acknowledged how hard he had worked through the years to became the man that he was today. It was one of the things he did take great pride in. Yes, she was! Which always amazed him given how she hadn't liked him at first. But look at them now! She was so good at being dramatic it only made sense that he had picked up on how to do the same. She was very welcome.

Well what type of boyfriend would he be if he wasn't ready and willing to make changes and enable her to feel comfortable in their home? "Busy, huh?" He chuckled in amusement. It hardly took a moment for the remaining walls to match the one he had changed perfectly. "Nicely done." Not only did the room seem brighter and more cheerful, it also looked larger.

As Rea took in the sight of the room, Chris say this as his advantage. Now was the perfect time to do exactly what he had been wanting to do all day! While Reagan already had her back to him, he pulled a small box from his pocket and lowered himself down onto one knee. This was going to be right! Or well.. at least his way. "I think all the furniture and colors aren't the only thing that go well together." Once she turned around she'd get what he meant, yes?!

Mhmm!

“Yes, extremely busy too. But of course for you, I’d always make time.” It was something she and Jude had in common, with putting family first. Speaking of Jude… she needed to visit those nephews of hers. Anyway… that was the thing about magic: it allowed one to finish tasks in the blink of an eye! Which was exactly what happened with the one her and Christopher had on their to-do list. “Thanks! You too!”

Reagan was so happy with the teamwork she and the boyfriend put in. Really, it was all so effortless, she thought as she gazed around at the wonderfully warm place they had created together so far. Not that it wasn’t warm before. It was just warmer now. She really had no idea what Christopher was planning. “Oh? What else-?” Rea had spun around, fully expecting to come face to face with him. But this wasn’t the case. He was actually down on one knee, holding out a box in which the most gorgeous ring was nestled. Rea couldn’t help it, she gasped.

Apologies, Christopher. She was speechless and in complete shock.

Christopher chuckled. "Well thank you for taking time out of that busy schedule to help with out home." His tone was light and teasing as he winked at her. Between his nieces and nephews and now all of Reagan's there was so many kiddos they would need to keep track of! "Why thank you, I do like to think that I'm pretty good with my wand work." So much easier and faster than doing things the muggle way, not that he had a problem with that but sometimes time was of the essence!

He would agree that it was much better now! It felt.. more homely. How he was managing to remain as calm as he was while he heart felt like it was about to beat out of his chest was beyond him. His hands were so sweaty he was surprised he hadn't dropped the ring box! Somehow his smile only widened at seeing the shocked expression on her face. Merlin she was beautiful! "Us. We may not have gotten off on the right foot a few years ago but just look at us now. I can't imagine even a day without you in my life. You brighten up even the worst of days and I never want that to change. Will you do me the greatest honor and marry me?" Did that sound as cheesey as he thought it did now that he had spoken it out loud?

Oh, Christopher was quite welcome. The important thing was that he knew she’d always do her best to make time for him. So far she had succeeded, and she intended for it to be that way even after she got more parts in movies and plays. It was good practice that she had already started on figuring out how to balance this work-family life.

Currently, Reagan was still lost for words. This was perhaps an excellent thing because it gave Christopher the time to fill the silence with words. Later, she was going to give him a difficult time because it seemed that he was holding back laughing at her with that wide smile of his. That devilishly, handsome smile.

Rea heard all the words that were said; he brain did its best to make sense of them all. Eventually it did and she began smiling brightly. “Yes! Yes, I’ll marry you, you giant!” Her hand was held out so that the gorgeous ring could be placed where it belonged. “We’ve come a far way, haven’t we?” Were there tears coursing down her cheeks? No, Rea wasn’t the type for that sort of thing.

Not to worry, he absolutely knew this. No matter what either of them had going on in their lives or how busy they were, they ALWAYS made time for one another. And now that she had moved in spending time together would be even easier. Christopher was very much looking forward to seeing how reach and surpass all of her goals.

The fact that she was standing there speechless was spectacular. It wasn't often that this happened. As for her giving him a difficult time later, he wouldnt expect anything less from her. At least it would be for his near laughter and not the heartfelt speech he had just given. Words were tough sometimes!

There it was! Those beautiful words Chris had been waiting to hear. Thank the heavens! His smile only grew as he removed the ring from the box and slipped it onto her finger. A perfect fit, yes? He sure thought so. Now that the ring was where it belonged, right on Rea's finger, the 'Giant' got to his feet with a chuckle. Wrapping his arms around her, he lifted her up spinning them in a circle. "We sure have and we're only going to keep moving up from here." Things would only to continue getting better for them, he was positive of that.

Reagan just knew it!

She just knew that Christopher was enjoying her momentary silence! Well, that wouldn’t last for too long so he had better not get used to it! But for this moment, indeed, words were tough to find. Luckily, she found them. It would have been a shame if she had made him wait all day on his old knees.

And now the ring was on her finger and her love was smiling widely… oh, everything was right in the world! She clung to him, the spins only adding to the dizziness she already felt due to happiness. “Yes, we are,’’ Rea said, clinging to Christopher, her words began temporarily failing her again as she sunk into this moment. That reminded her… “Mum and Dad will be so excited! Our entire families!” The Carters and Anders’ always made their approval about hers and Christopher’s relationship be known, afterall.

Ha! It wasn't his fault that this occurrence didn't happen all to often. If she's lucky he wouldn't tease her about it forever. Well, should she have needed a few more moments, Christopher would've been just fine sitting himself down right where he was and waiting. Didn't want to hurt his 'old' man knees.

What a gorgeous smile she had! Did he tell her that enough? He could totally up his game if he needed to. Oopsie. The goal hasn't been to make either of them dizzy but it came along with spinning in circles. Setting Rea down on her feet, he gave her a light squeeze in excitement. "Shall we invite them all over this weekend for a housewarming dinner and tell them then?" The last thing he wanted was for anyone to feel left out of the special moment.

Christopher certainly complimented her in that manner on a regular basis but Rea would never be tired of hearing them. He needn’t worry right now, though! She was not at all dizzy from being spun. If anything, she was so due to the combination of happiness and excitement. Reagan grabbed a hold of Christopher’s arm to keep her balance. “What a lovely idea! I hope everyone will be able to make it.” Jude, she knew, had a busy schedule. Davet might have as well. But if someone couldn’t be there, then Rea would personally ensure she told them the good news.

She smiled up at the man before her. “We’d better get to planning then. Then you and I are going to go shopping for ingredients and anything else we need.” There was lots to do already!
