November 2011 iBeJenn ! The interviewer, Tegz, is in this colour
The interviewee, Jenn, is in this colour Welcome to another shiiiiny installment of... *forgets what I'm doing for a moment while marvelling at the shiny crown*... oh. Oh thats right, Member of the Month! Yay! You know it was hard work to get this here crown back. See how shiny it is? *distracted again* Oh you guys are still here? Sorry! Sorry! Let me find the new MOTM for you shall I? *peeks about* Hey! IBeJenn, WhereBeYou?
*stares at shininess* It's so shi- I mean, helloo. iBeInNYC - aka, the Big Apple of the US. And the lights are shiny too, y'know, just like that crown... but not AS shiny. So really, the crown is peerrrrrfect for you! Hi and Welcome! Your people await! How did a shiny New Yorker end up in a place like this? *gestures around at SS and then remembers and offers crown*
I suppose it is! *waves to all the people out there* Hello, my people! *sets crown on my head* Oooh... so shiny... Well, before the shiny New Yorker ended up in a place like this... she was stalking Feltbeats. So, I was actually just looking around the site and saw some links to Snitchseeker, I never really thought much of it but then I clicked it one day, by accident I think, and BAM. Here I am! Ohh thats a GOOD way in! We respect the Felton. Classy fella, and talented! We should all thank him for showing you the way. *Thanks Tom Felton* So how long have you been a member now and what do you do around here anyway?
Yes he is! Hehe. I thank him as well, for his music and for leading me to this beautiful, beautiful site full of all you AMAZING people. I've been a member since... March 2010 so I think about a year a half now... As for what I do around here? Besides being extremely awesometastical and weird... well, I'm a shopkeeper in Diagon Alley which is absolutely amazing and so much fun. I also play my hypertastic Selena in the Hogwarts RPG and Katrina in the Ministry RPG. Then there are all the fanclubs which I am an officer in, it's filled with lovely people too. Then the place that really got me hooked onto roleplaying is probably Borgin & Burkes, where I still roleplay in now. I see you're also part of the school yearbook and a shiny shiny recipient of the Employee of the Month award in the Ministry RPG! You're a busy RPer! So its safe to say you can be found in ALL the RP areas here on SnitchSeeker. Aside from that and the fanclubs, do you frequent any other parts of SS? I think I spy a drabbler usertitle!
Haha, yeah I am! *pets the Employee of the Month tag* Yes, I am quite proud of all of that. Other than fanclubs... well, yeah, I got the SS100 triumphant tag after completing my first set of drabbles about my Hogwarts RPG character, and I'm currently working on some Luna Lovegood ones now. I also frequent Madame Malkin's a lot, seeing as I have a shop, portfolio and co-host a competition there. And you're an AMAZING graphicer. I'll totes plug your shop *plugs* Go see, everyone! So, we know Feltbeats brought you here, but how did you get into Harry Potter in the first place? Tell us a bit about your Potter journey.
D'awwh. *blush* Thank you, I've been practicing. I first started reading the books when I was in the first grade so when I was like, seven. Then I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with my parents one night and I definitely fell in love then. And then after that, around the sixth grade I started reading fanfictions and fell even more in love with it. So you could say you grew up with the Harry Potter series. Are you more a fan of the books or the movies or both? Which are your favourites?
Pretty much, yeah. I love them both equally, they're both amazing pieces of art. My favorite books are Half-blood Prince and Order of the Phoenix while my favorite movie is probably Chamber of Secrets or else Prisoner of Azkaban. Chamber of Secrets is definitely the first movie that comes to mind when I think of Harry Potter. *Hisssss* Look at you, showing your Slytherin self! I'd be unnerved by the hissing if it wasn't for the crown. Its... just so... shiny. *snaps out of it* Who's your favourite character?
Oh please, everyone loves Slytherin. *eyes all the Gryffindors* Haha, yes it is... so... so... shiny... Favorite character, right. *clears throat* My favorite character is definitely Draco Malfoy but it's a close call between Draco and Luna. Draco is definitely my favorite though because he's such a troubled child... and I thought he had pretty funny hair when I was little. Snakes are my first love *admits*, but you've got a Ravie in there, yay! *celebrates for Ravenclaw*. I guess the Draco thing is helped by the fact that Tom Felton plays him so marvellously. Do you have a favourite Harry Potter moment or scene?
Definitely, besides, the dark side is always so much more tempting... and they tend to have cookies. Haha. Woot. Go Ravies! I'm actually a Ravenclaw on Pottermore, perhaps that's why? I think so, Tom Felton plays the perfect Draco.
I don't! They're all so brilliant and all that, but if I had to pick ONE it would probably when Dobby tells Harry Potter that he didn't mean to hurt Harry Potter. I think Ravenclaw and Slytherin totes have the most in common *flexes*Awww I love house elves! Have you done much exploring of Pottermore? What do you think of it so far?
Yeah, they do! They share a similar trait cleverness and smarts. I have explored quite a bit, but not as much as I hope to - the potions always make me frustrated! Especially when I lose track of time. But so far, I think it's amazing, though to be completely honest, I was expecting more. But it satisfies me and I cannot wait for the next book to come out!! I think a lot of us were expecting more just because we love the series so much and always have high expectations, but it can only get better I think! So. Aside from SS, and Feltbeats, and Pottermore and other HP related sites, are there any other parts of the web you can be found surfing regularly?
Yeah! I am hoping they'd add some music to the background, I think it would be a nice touch. Facebook, definitely, because that's where I really know what's going on with everyone. Then there's Polyvore which I discovered through SS and now I love to mess around with it. But I also love going on Tumblr and DeviantArt to see the edits that people make. So basically the most addictive possible sites, the ones that are awesome for procrastinating! *resists urge to go make a Polyvore set or Tumble around for lulzy gifs* I have a segue into the next set of questions! Its a really good one, I promise *clears throat* You mentioned music for Pottermore, and obviously Feltbeats tis musical genius, would you say you're a music fan? What kind of music do you like?
Yes, and the ones best for... doing research on homework questions. Yes, I am absolutely a music fan. I love all sorts of music, but I have a tendency to stay away from Metal and Rap songs. I grew up listening to singers like Joey Yung, but as I grew older, I grew to love the songs by Hilary Duff and Kelly Clarkson. My music is all now just a mix of all sorts of songs. I also play the flute so I love listening to instrumental music as well, such as the background music from various games. Can you beatbox with your flute? *spends too much time on youtube* I enjoy instrumentals as well, I have the soundtrack for Final Fantasy X on my playlist. Do you play a lot of video games or is it just the music that pulls you in?
LOL. I wish I could, but no I can't. I think I could try with just the mouthpiece though... I don't play too many video games I just have a lot of soundtracks that my friends link me to and the whatnot. So mostly it's the music, but I do enjoy a video game every once in a while. The Parents disapprove though, so I kinda can't. What about some of your other favourites? Books and Movies and all those lovely things.
Favorite books are, well, in class I recently read All Quiet on the Western Front which was really well written and sad to the millionth power, the movie of the book is pretty darn awesome too. I love reading Rick Riordan's books and Michael Scott's series "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel". The Clique series is something else I enjoyed reading among many others. I never actually watched many movies but over the summer I fell in love with Despicable Me and I watched Super 8 which was awesome, but I don't really watch movies. I do watch a lot of TV shows though, like Glee, Doctor Who, 90210, Gossip Girl and a whole bunch of the new ones. A nice range of shows there too! I love Glee, and Doctor Who! You know, being as its MOTM, we have to talk about favourite foods. What could you eat for every meal? Is there anything you're addicted to? What is the best food for a midnight snack?
Haha. I love the two as well, I recently got addicted to Merlin as well... *eyes a certain Ravenclaw* OH FOOD. I absolutely adore food. I could definitely eat curry anything for every meal. I love curry chicken, curry beef anything curry. But I am definitely addicted to sweets in general. I love chocolate, candy and jellybeans. Did you know they had a Sprite flavored jellybean?! Best food for a midnight snack is... Well, I don't know what it is actually. My dad makes if for me when I can't sleep and it's basically brown sugar, some flour and egg all thrown together to make this really sweet sticky thing. I love eating that at night. But other than that... cookies. A lot of cookies with tea or hot chocolate. OMGWTFBBQ? Sprite flavoured? That is SO epic! So if you like Jelly beans, would Bertie Bott's Beans be your favourite Wizarding Candy do you think?
It is! I bought like... a whole pound of Sprite flavored jellybeans. It was delicious. Sadly, they're all gone. *pouts* I love jelly beans but I'm too much of a coward to actually try to Bertie Bott's Beans - I love food but I really dislike things that don't taste good. I think my favorite would actually be chocolate frogs. If there was one kind of Wizard food or drink that you could try for real, assuming the magic would work, what would it be?
Oooh. Uhm, that's a hard question. I think it would be... flying whizzbees, does that count? They seem like fun. I think it counts! What about sports? Do you play any? Watch any? Would you play any Wizarding Sport?
I love playing sports, but I'm not good at any. I was going to join the Track and Field team this year for my school but the clubs I joined pretty much destroyed that part. I don't watch any sports, they make me sleepy and I really don't understand how people sit and stare at people tackling each other, hitting home runs or slam dunking things. Sitting still and watching that makes me antsy!
I would probably not. I'm afraid of heights so Quidditch is out of the question. Plus, I have pretty horrible hand-eye coordination, so that wouldn't do very well for most sports. haha. Do you have any pets?
I... HAD pets. They all grew up though and learned how to fend for themselves in the toilet bowl. But no, I can't have any pets that don't live in tanks because my younger sister is allergic to fur. If I did, I would have a pet... DRAGON. If it was possible, that is. They're just hiding up in the mountains, one day they will come back and I shall have one as my pet. No Pygmy Puffs for Jenn?
Oh, definitely a Pygmy Puff. A whole FLOCK of them, actually. All in green, blues, purples and all colorful and gorgeous little fluffballs I can cuddle with. Hehe. And maybe even a Panda... once I rule the world. Do stuffed animals count as pets? Because I have a PaMoose. And I shall always consider it as my pet. XD A PaMoose?
It's a cross between a panda and a moose. I got a giant panda for my birthday present, but I was going through a moose phase and my friend gave me moose antlers for my panda. Now my panda is a PaMoose. He's one a of a kind. LOL I think that's the most amazing thing I've ever heard. I mean its no Blast-Ended Skrewt, but Hagrid would be proud. If your PaMoose is the most awesome pet/stuffed toy you have now, what was your fave childhood toy? Is there one you remember that was special to you? What would Hagrid think of it?
I have one little brown bear that I've had since forever. My mother tells me I got it when I was like three but my dad says I was two. It's just a tiny little thing about the size of my hand and it's really cute and adorable. It holds so many memories and I just love it. I think Hagrid would probably wonder why it was so tiny if it was a bear... I don't know actually, the bear is relatively normal and it's also a bit plain. But yeah, I hide it every time my niece or nephew comes over because they'll take it otherwise. D'awww that's so precious. I love mini things. CUTE! If you can hold it in the palm of your hand, its automatically better. Speaking of hands, because I CLEARLY was and this is a natural question to ask next *clears throat*, are you left-handed or right-handed?
Haha, Rightie. I've tried writing with my left hand once but it turned out like chicken scratch... Pshhh inventing a new language! Do you speak any languages other than English?
I want to! I speak two different types of Chinese - Cantonese and a minor language called Taishanese, and to a certain degree, Spanish. But I cannot write Chinese and I barely understand Spanish... so they don't really count. I also speak random-nese, completely composed of "random" numbers and letters... Chinglish and Spanglish. I speak English and Typo. That's it. *envies you* If there's one language you'd like to learn, what would it be?
What's Typo? One language I would love to learn is French. It seems like such a pretty language, and I want to go to France one day and like... eat all the different pastries and the whatnot. Bahaha. Spelling mistakes and whatnot. Oooh French! The food and the language both make a good case for it. Since you have a few languages under your belt, what is your favourite word and its meaning?
Oooh. That's an awesome language!! I somewhat know that language. My favorite word is probably... well... in Chinese it's probably love, it's one of the few characters I know how to write and it means a strong affection towards something or someone. As for English, it's probably the word ... uhm... yeah, I don't have any particular favorite word in English... or Spanish. haha. And we're almost done! Last month we had Davvy_Wavvy wearing the crown, and I tell ya I had to fight tooth and nail to get the shiny thing back. Those badgers are feisty! She had a question for you though, so now you get to answer it! I'll never give up this crown I'm going to hide it in my badger den foreveeeeeeer *plots*..question..hmm what's your favourite thing to do on a sunday morning?
Oh, poor Tegz. I do hope you're alright now. Though I do appreciate it, I like the shiny crown. *looks up at head* Shiny... echem. Favorite thing to do on a Sunday morning: sleep, eat, or just listen to a bit of music when I take a little walk. But mostly sleep. What would you like to ask the next MOTM?
If you could make up any one word and have it in the English dictionary what would it be? Good question! Alright everyone, we're done here! Tune in next month to find out who gets the crown from Jenn and don't forget to check out some of her awesome graphics and writing! *stares at crown* So shiny... Jenn's Request shop, Her Art Portfolio, her completed drabbles. Don't forget to take a look at her other drabble threads too! |

HI all. We have a golden retriever named Penny. She was a rescue dog and really a mess when we got her. Dirty and scared. She has allergies so she gets medicine for that. She has become very loving and wants to greet everyone who comes to our door. We have to watch her carefully as she will eat absolutely ANYTHING , probably she had to forage for herself before.
