Situated on the South Side of the Street you can find a rather hip spot: the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley. You heard that right: shrunken heads. There are no muggle bowling balls here. The shrunken heads have opinions and aren't shy to taunt and tell you if you are rubbish. Be aware too that the bowling pins have a tendency to suddenly disappear, move or reappear when you least want them to. Whether you're part of one of the leagues or if you're a social player, come on in: this is the perfect place to kick back with your mates and have a laugh.
The first thing you notice upon entering the bowling alley is the flashing banner right above the counter indicating that this is where the most important person of this establishment is and where you should go first. The counter has the perfect spot, overseeing all the other areas of the bowling alley, so don't try to sneak your way past. A little further down the counter, you can find the Snack Bar, should you feel hungry. It is also overseen by the shopkeeper, which is why the two are directly connected to each other so they can easily offer assistance at both in just a few steps.
Beyond the counter and snack bar awaits the bowling lanes, divided up into three sectors: One to Four, Five to Eight and Nine to Twelve. Even from here you can hear distinct shouts from one of the bowling balls, telling whoever just threw it what a terrible player they are and that they are probably better off going home and knitting a pair of nice woolen socks. Should you not be that much into bowling, make sure to check out the Gaming Corner slightly to the left of the bowling lanes. A small variety of games have been set up, providing you and your friends with an alternative to bowling.
*The proprietor is not responsible for any injuries that may befall customers who drink/eat potentially hazardous items on the menu. If you don't know that the flames on the flaming chili cheese fries are real, and should be put out before consumption, then you shouldn't be eating them. You also shouldn't be drinking exploding lemonade or ordering biting nachos for that matter. Or Acid sauce. How is it you are capable of ordering for yourself?

It was the last frame. Damolces stepped up to the mouth of the bowling lane and took his first shot. To his astonishment, he got his very first strike of the whole game. While he was very excited, the emotion he was feeling most strongly was surprise. He turned back to Winnie, mouth hanging open, and just stared in shock.

I'm working in the Department of Magical Transportation She said smiling as she got up and took her turn as she grabbed the ball and swung at the pins as she knocked down 6 pins. Then took her second turn and knocked the rest of the pins down.
"Wow that really wonderful." Damocles said to Winnie. "That's a really great department. You are going to do so great there. Well, I think that's the game. And look......you beat me. Congratulations. Well played, Winnie. We should do this again sometime. Although, I'll probably see you around the Ministry before too long. Good day to you." he said, tipping his head in a respectful gesture.

Aurora Rory Archer certainly looked a little out of place in the Shrunken Head Bowling Alley, with all her pastels and patchwork, and her blonde hair tied messily in a hurried bun. The vibe here was a bit scruffy, a bit shabby, but cool... somehow? She walked arm in arm with her eldest sister, Cella, eyes taking in every detail, though her thoughts (she couldn't lie) were lingering on the food and the menu they had passed. "One round or two?" She asked, glancing Cella's way. She knew her sister would insist on paying but she wasn't about to take advantage of that... much. "Should we get some food, too? Bowling uses lots of energy, you know? So, really, if you think about it, it would be the responsible thing to do." She grinned unapologetically. "I was thinking a mooncalf cheese and peperroni pizza, maybe some dragon cheese fries, and of course a drink." Her mouth was almost watering just thinking about it. "What about you?" She added, an almost afterthought.
The thirteen year old had insisted that they do something fun together to kick off the summer holidays. There were many reasons for this. One - she was going to miss Cella like crazy when she went back to Hogwarts for her third year and Cella was no longer there, having graduated and left her behind! How was she going to cope, not seeing her whenever she wanted? Who was going to proofread and vastly improve her schoolwork now? August? CAS? Merlin help her. That was not going to happen. Two - she was procrastinating doing the necessary practical things she needed to do during the summer holidays, such as restocking her parchment, ink and quill supply, along with so many potions ingredients it was impossible to remember all of them, so she would inevitably end up making multiple trips. Three - uhh... bowling was fun?

Now, when did Rory get so tall? Of course, Cella knew the correct scientific explanation for it - it's called puberty! But while the eldest Archer was quite good at separating the factual from the emotional, she was certainly aware of that added layer of older sisterism where her siblings were concerned, and it was hard not to notice how much shorter the height difference between her and her second youngest sister was at this moment. She'll be thinking about the day when Rory drastically sprouts some more and, who knows, maybe she'll even be taller than everyone else in the family! Cella gave Rory a gentle playful hip bump as she guided them to the end of the queue for the counter. "Maybe one round for now, but I'm not opposed to a second if we've still got the energy and time for it... especially when I beat you," the fresh Hogwarts graduate beamed down at her sister cheekily at that. Hehehe!
But it's a joke, of course! Cella was the type to intentionally lose to her opponents when deemed fit. Ask any of the first years she 'competed' against in wizard's chess last term! They'll tell you just how terrible Cella was in board games! (She wasn't. That's the point.)
Ah, and yes, the teenage growth spurt always meant more food. Cella chuckled fondly. "We could split the pizza." Pizza was best made for sharing! She hoped it was big enough for them both. "And you can get the fries and a drink. I'm thinking of getting myself one of the fizzy sodas, too. We can order some more later if we're super hungry by then. How does that sound?" Nodding to herself in self-affirmation, she took a step forward as the line moved. Cella was also paying - she made that crystal clear - but she wasn't extravagant. On top of that, this was just one of her sibling dates, and Cella was thinking of paying for the rest of them, too. Indeed, she was yet to schedule solo days with Aslan, Astrid, Cas, and Gus before summer ended. Cella had a major case of Big Sisteritis, confirmed.
