Samantha left her very long, but very important, parchment on the front of the office for everyone to read.

Piper walked in tentatively "Hello?"

Miley looked up from her papers and saw a person walk in."Hello.How may I help you?"

Piper smiled "Hi, i'm new to the ministry and i have been placed in this department" Piper smiled calmly "Nice to meet you, i'm Piper Halliwell"

Miley smiled and stood up and walked over to Piper."Nice to meet you Piper.I'm Miley Carter."

Piper smiled "Nice to meet you too, Miley" Piper looked around the room "err... can you tell me what is going on please?"

Samantha walked into the office, happy to find her staff there and working. "Good morning," she said. "I am just here to check how everything is going here. As you ladies will have noticed, we do have some tasks we are currently working on, and I would be more than happy to brainstorm with all of you over these issues. Of course, myself and both my committees are working on these very important tasks, so I would like to invite each of you to come to my office and offer any suggestions you may have about how to accomplish these things any time you would like. My office is always open to any of you, I'm always here for you. Once again, we are working on the transfer form and the examinations for the OWL and NEWT tests. As usual, there are always refreshments available in my office." She smiled. These were the most important tasks that her office had been asked to do to date, and she wanted to make sure that everything was done properly and in a timely manner. After all, that was her job.

Piper smiled at the lady and then she saw the parchment at the front of the room, she read the parchment and then looked back up at the lady who'd walked in "Hello, I'm Piper Halliwell" she held out her hand "I have read the assignment but have no ideas at the moment... but as soon as i get an idea i will contact you" Piper nodded as she smiled

"Thank you Piper, and welcome to the Department," Samantha said. "I'm Samantha Rose, your department head. My door is always open to you, feel free to stop in any time. I like to have a good interaction with my employees and your ideas are always welcome." She smiled at the young woman. "Are you having any problems so far? Any questions?" It looked like Piper was getting along quite well so far, but it never hurt to be sure.

Miley smiled."Piper,I'm always here if you have any questions,too."

Piper smiled "I'm fine at the moment, thankyou"

Miley nodded."Okay,well I'm going to get back to work."She walked back to her desk and filed some papers that were scattered all over it.

Samantha bounced in leaving this notice:

Miley looked at the letter and went back to her desk.

Holly read the letter slowly and smiled to her self. As she read the older notes however the smile faded. Sucide? she thought. She wondered why anyone would have been unhappy at Hogwarts, she had spent the best of her 23 years there! Then she looked around, the place was pretty empty so she decided to organize her office until someone showed up. Her first day was rather exciting, she hoped she would find friends, get an assignment and help the students of Hogwarts any way she could.

Miley noticed another employee there.She hasn't introduced herself.She stood up form her desk and walked over to her."Hello,"she said."I haven't introduced myself,yet.I'm Miley Carter."

Samantha stepped into the office and stood near the front. "Good morning, ladies," she said. "I am here to offer everyone a little insight and help with the project we are currently working on, which is the OWLs and NEWTs. As you know, I have issued a memo regarding the project, which will be hugely beneficial for Hogwarts students for many generations to come. Our old exams are currently out of date."

Samantha continued. "Now, the idea for these exams is that each of them consists of separate parts, one for each of the subjects which are currently taught at Hogwarts. As I'm sure all of you know, these subjects are Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Flying, Herbology, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Potions and Transfiguration. So, there are going to be 13 separate parts to each exam, and the person taking the exam isn't required to take all 13 parts, of course! Only the part or parts which they want to receive their OWL or NEWT in. Is that clear so far?" Samantha looked around. "The NEWTs are more difficult than the OWLs, so the questions for that exam are going to be a bit tougher." She paused a moment. "It might be useful to speak to some of the Hogwarts professors to get ideas on what some of the questions and physical exercises should be on this test," she said.

She went on. "So, the way we are planning to do each of these 13 parts is to include questions which the person taking the exam will answer in written form, but we also want there to be a practical part of the exam, as well, where they perform a certain physical task which is assigned. Each of you would be allowed to assist the person taking the exam with the physical part, and the test would be conducted here in this department."

"So now you have a basic understanding of what we are looking for," she concluded. "Are there any questions, suggestions, anything? I would like to start on this project as soon as we are able to get started on it. It will take some work, but I know it will be worth it, as this is something we can be proud of for years to come."

"Hello Miley, I'm Holly..." she said smiling and another woman came up to them.
She reconized her as the Head.
"I do have one question, where should we talk with the teachers?"

"That's a very good question, Holly," Samantha smiled at the newest arrival. "You may travel to Hogwarts to interview various members of the teaching staff and get their input about questions and/or exercises they feel would be appropriate for the test. Just let me know when you plan to go there and I'll be happy to give you permission. That goes for all of you, of course. Remember, this is a project that hasn't been done in a very long time, so we really are breaking new ground here. I'm willing to listen to any suggestions or ideas on this that you ladies might have."

"Ok that sounds good." Holly said, she was excited to vist Hogwarts again.

Miley smiled."Nice to meet you Holly."She looked at Samatha."I think the students of Hogwarts will be glad to see me,again."She laughed.

Samantha remembered Miley had gone to Hogwarts last season a couple of times to interview students on various matters. "Yes, I'm sure they will enjoy your coming there!", she agreed. "They will enjoy talking to you, Holly, as well." Her employees were very sociable, they always did a good job and got along great with everyone. Samantha was proud to have the best employees in the Ministry!

Samantha paused a moment as an owl flew into the room. "Hold on," she said, taking the parchment from the owl's leg.

Samantha recognized the seal on the parchment and opened it immediately, knowing the message it was extremely important. She read it carefully, then turned to address her employees. "Everyone, I am sorry to interrupt this project, but something has come up. We have all been invited to the wedding between the Minister of Magic and his childhood sweetheart Belle, so we are going to take a break from this and get back to it later. At least we have a good start. Go, enjoy the wedding and reception, all of you! Just go to security, sign the guestbook and have a great time! Don't forget to dress appropriately and bring a gift. Remember - purple or black attire only for this wedding!" " Samantha wanted to get ready for the wedding, as well, it had nearly slipped her mind.

Miley smiled."I better get home and get dressed."She headed towards the door."Bye,Samatha.See you later."Miley walked out the door and headed towards the elevator.

Piper walked back into the room 'Stupid wedding' she thought sitting down at her desk she started to think about charms "Hmm, maybe i coud do that..." she muttered to herself

Miley walked back into her office and sat down in her desk.She looked down at her papers which seemed to have grown since she left.Wow,she needed to get to work.She grabbed on of the folders and opened it.She began to read.
